Posting form and response

I've created a form that I'm posting to a web page.
Now, after the form is posted, the web page  sends a response which Acrobat Reader wants to open, with a message like:  This PDF file is attempting to launch <name of a local file>, Do you want to continue?
My question is:  can I somehow suppress this?  I don't want users to be confused by something that looks like an error method ...

    Hi Scott,
    >> Do you happen to know where that PL/SQL shortcut came from? Created by you or an apex wizard?
    The original shortcut was probably created by an APEX wizard, but then I changed its type to ‘PL/SQL Function Body’. The shortcuts are not included in the translatable components, so I need a function to determine the application language, and issue the message accordingly.
    >> The type of the shortcut is not part of that constraint
    So changing the shortcut type back to the type I need, after the wizard finished its job, should not have any side effects. Correct?
    >> and the sequence always seems to be 1
    And we don’t have access to it, so we can’t change it manually.
    >> Our bug
    Can you please fill a bug report on that?
    I will post an enhancement request about including shortcuts in the translatable components, but I’ll appreciate you mention this issue also.
    Appreciate your time and efforts,
    Arie.

  • Individual, Creative cloud, single app, Adobe Acrobat Pro X1, Forms and Responses allowed

    Dear forum,
    Firstly many apologies if this is a stupid question or if it has been answered before, but I'm very new to using FormsCentral only in the past few days.
    I purchased an Individual Creative cloud, single app plan at £17.58 per month for only Adobe Acrobat Pro X1, I am able it seems allowed to create forms etc, however are there any responses per form limit for my subscription? when looking at the features for the Adobe Acrobat Pro X1 product it only says FormsCentral is included and does not suggest any limitations. However, I've seen other comments which suggest needing to upgrade, but I have not seen any messages asking me to. I would prefer to know the limitations now rather than doing an important project form and then suddenly see messages appear once 50, or so responses have arrived  ?
    Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.
    kind regards
    kevin

    Hi,
    You get a free subscription with FormsCentral with Acrobat Pro XI. You will only be able to create one form and collect 50 responses. To get more functionality, you'll need to upgrade to basic or plus plan. Please check out Pricing options - Free, Basic, and Plus options | Adobe FormsCentral.
    Thanks,
    Wenlan

  • Customize Sharepoint 2013 Blog Post forms and layout

    I have a blog site that will be home to customer call reports saved as posts to the blog. The blog works, but how do I get all the custom columns to show on the blog home page that shows all of the posts. Currently, only the Posted Date, Notes, and Title
    field display.

    Hi Jim ,
    According to your description, my understanding is that  you want to display custom columns in your home page posts web part.
    Please go to the home page -> Edit Page -> Edit the Posts Web Part ->in the Posts Web Part Settings Page , click  Edit the current view -> check the column you want to display and click OK.
    The fields  are  now available to be rendered as part of the current view.
    Then we need to create the custom JavaScript file that will render the new fields for  the post body. You can refer to the blog:
    HOW TO: Add a custom field to blog posts in SharePoint 2013
    Hope this helps!

  • NEW! Import Fillable PDF Form and Collect Responses

    FormsCentral now allows you to import an existing fillable PDF form and use the FormsCentral service to collect and analyze the submitted data. You no longer have to recreate your existing PDF forms within the service in order to take advantage of FormsCentral’s data collection/analysis capabilities.
    You can also use popular tools like Adobe Acrobat X Pro or Adobe InDesign to create PDF forms that work with FormsCentral.
    To import a PDF form go to the “My Forms” tab, click the More button on the toolbar and select “Import PDF Form.” Note: FormsCentral does not support PDF forms created using the LiveCycle Designer (XML-based forms).
    Once imported the normal Design tab is replaced with an “Imported Form” tab that allows you to place a Submit button on the PDF form. You can place it on the top left or right of the first page, or place it on the bottom left or right of the last page. A thumbnail shows where the button will appear.
    Click to view larger image
    The Options tab shows options that are available for PDF forms (Note: PDF Forms do not support Redirect URLs or Payments so these are not shown)
    Click to view larger image
    The Distribute tab allows you to open the form and download the submit-enabled PDF file for distribution. The PDF file can be filled out, saved and submitted using the free Adobe Reader.
    Click to view larger image
    The Response and Summary Report tabs will show the data submitted from the PDF form. They function as they do for a normal form file that you created from scratch or template.
    This FAQ describes what types of PDF forms can/cannot be imported and what functionality is limited within the PDF once imported:

    Please send us your feedback.

    I followed this process to import my PDF form.  The link I have on my web page is displaying an error from FormsCentral.  The link works but the web page is confusing to customers.  The message is:
    An error has occurred.
    The form does not exist. Please re-enter the web address as the link may be misspelled.
    When I saved the submission-enabled PDF, I could only save it to my computer.  I then had to upload it to the web site server and created a link on my web page to point to that URL.
    How can I get rid of the Adobe FormsCentral message on the web page?

    Hi c3 cyber club,
    Unfortunately FormCentral and Echosign are two different services and forms created in Forms central can only be submitted via and to Forms Central.
    We cannot have the form filled in using FormCentral and get it signed using Echosign.
    However, you can use Echosign directly and you can get most of the functionality.

  • XML Forms and Posting Directly to iView

    Hey Everyone,
    This is my first time posting a question on SDN, so please forgive me if I leave anything out.
    I have a question regarding XML Forms and iViews. We are using EP 6.40 SP12.
    I would like to have an XML Form filled out and have it's contents sent directly to an iView which is located on the opening screen of our Portal. The scenario is that every Tuesday the form will be filled out, saved and will appear on the user's Portal. An appropriate folder structure has been created in KM to hold all the forms, etc...
    Any help would be much appreciated,
    Cheers
    Rav

    Hi Ravinder,
    After generating the forms,you have to create iViews for the Forms,Authoring iview and Render List iView.
    These iViews can be assigned to users,or assigned to some page using Delta link.
    The updated news will be available as a List on the Browser iView,which can be clicked to drill details.
    The properties are set in the iView properties of Layout Set ,for example for authoring iView
    Layout Set = NewsExplorer
    For render List iView
    Layout Set = NewsBrowser
    Path to Initially Displayed Folder /documents/myNews
    The values will change depending upon the form name.
    Please go through this document for a detailed example
    <a href="https://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/Best_Practices/EP/documentation/How-to_Guides/KM/How%20to%20create%20XML%20forms.pdf">https://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/Best_Practices/EP/documentation/How-to_Guides/KM/How%20to%20create%20XML%20forms.pdf</a>
    This Document gives a step by step solution on using XML forms.

  • Create a PDF Form and Email the entire form w/ responses

    I created a form in PDF and I want to e-mail the form with the responses in the fields... like a file-->send to-->mail reciepents as attachment...
    I want to e-mail the form with responses not just email the data file of the form...any suggestions..please

    I've seen a number of people report this type of behavior and have experienced it myself with Acrobat.com, but have never heard what's causing it or know of a fix. You might try the Acrobat.com forum here to see if they have any ideas.
    What's worse is when it appears as though the form submits successfully to Acrobat.com, but the data never gets added to the responses.

  • I opened my form and downloaded the form to post on my website... but the submit button is not working.

    What am I doing wrong? The first time I created my form I used Acrobat and the FormsCentral embedded in the program. The original form was working, but I had to make some changes to it. I can't get FormCentral to launch within Acrobat anymore. I loaded my new form (with the changes) to Forms Central through the browser interface, yet when I open the form and download the form to post the posted form does not work. Help!

    Hi,
    if it's ok for you, people can send a email at your adress, it's enough to use (translated from German-DW):
    Insert -> email link. In my DW it looks lik this:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>eMail</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <a href="mailto:[email protected]">eMail</a>
    </body>
    </html>
    The users click into the word "eMail" your eMail-program wil start.
    Naturally there are som other ways, like this for example:
    <td width="35%"><input id="send" type="submit" name="Submit" value="send" />
    I suggest first try or test the easy way.

  • Embeded forms and form responses. Several questions

    I am trying to set up some forms for our clients to fill out so that they can pass on some project specifications to us. I have not set up the web side of things but essentially I want clients to log into our website and be redirected to a their specific client page. The client page should show the existing form responses. Below the responses will be a link for "New Project". This link takes them to an embedded "New Project" form. Once they fill out the form and click submit they will recieve the stadard thank you and an email with the info that they included. I will also recieve an email with the info that they submitted. They will be redirected to their specific client page showing the responses inlcuding the newest one.
    Would this work? It all makes sense to me except the part where they are essentially submitting the same form over and over again. Will there be a conflict?
    Would it be possible for them to edit a response and provide new ones?

    Hi,
    >> It all makes sense to me except the part where they are essentially submitting the same form over and over again. Will there be a conflict?
    There should be no conflict submitting the form over and over by single or multiple respondents.
    >> Would it be possible for them to edit a response and provide new ones?
    Will you provide more details on this workflow, how would your client edit the response?
    >>The client page should show the existing form responses. Below the responses will be a link for "New Project". This link takes >>them to an embedded "New Project" form. Once they fill out the form and click submit
    I believe the "show the existing form responses" is one form and the "New Project embedded form is another form, correct?
    You should be able to publish the responses for the existing form and for the "New Project" embedded form.
    Thanks,
    Lucia

  • With Adobe FormsCentral in Creative Teams subscription, do I need to add an Acrobat Pro subscription to get unlimited forms and realtime responses?

    We have a number of Creative Cloud for Teams seats but need to FormsCentral unlimited forms and realtime response rate.
    The site makes you upgrade to Acrobat Pro subscription to get that, which is included in Creative Cloud.  I did order it, but am puzzled at whether or not that was a mistake.
    Anyone has an idea about this?

    Hi GrattanGuru,
    You have creative cloud subscription as you have mentioned. Under Adobe Reader to convert PDF to other formats Adobe offers online service called Acrobat.com services: https://www.acrobat.com/en_us.html
    That would be the reason support person might have told you on call, that you have to pay for that service.
    Under creative cloud you are getting Adobe applications. However under Acrobat.com you are getting online services which are providing Acrobat functions online.

  • Insert record AND post form

    Hi,
    I'm sure this is a common problem, I could not find anything
    relating to it in search here so...
    I have a form, which I insert data into database, fine.
    I then want to post the same form to paypal payment page.
    I've got paypal set-up fine with hidden fields in the form
    etc. However, how can I make the insert into database and then post
    the form to paypal ? should I use onClick event to trigger insert
    and action to post to paypal ?
    using asp vb
    Any advise appreciated.

    It'd be a 2 page process. On page 1, you submit the form and
    insert record
    into database. Then redirect to page 2. On page 2, you'd
    submit the form on
    load and post it to paypal.
