PP Module-BOM

Hi!
We have implemented HR, MM,FICO,PS,SD modules. Now, there is a requirement to create BOM. I hope unless PP is implemented BOM can not be integrated fully with PS or other modules. In the production it wont allow us to create BOM by CS01. Am I correct? Please give your suggestions or inputs.

Hi,
I think some clarity is required.
WBS element is sort of cost center/collector, Network order is just like production order and activities can be trated as operations (but in activities cost also can be captured).
IF the intension is to make semifinish material from components then there are 2 ways.
1. Create production usageBOM, create production order with A/c assignment WBS element and confirm the production order
2. Create BOM,Copy the bom to WBS through cn33 and ref point, then with that ref. consume the components to network order and make the Semifinish material with +/- sign.
PRoduction order is created in a controlled environment and Network order is used in case of uncontrolled environment eg. customer site.

i have created New function Module as copy of of
IDOC_INPUT_BOMMAT .
now i need to do some customizations in the new function module
like
1.calculating validity dates by using function module
CC_CHANGE_NUMBER_READ
This is required for:

Valid to date Change Ref - ZE1CHNGNR-ZCHTO
Current Year Change Ref - ZE1CHNGNR-ZCHCURR a new customized extended segment

In function module "IDOC_INPUT_BOMMAT" there is a subroutine
   move and convert data from idoc to application internal tables
    perform idoc_to_bom_itabs tables idoc_data
                                     idoc_contrl.
that transfers all the data in IDOC to internal tables.I think after this you have to write your code and modify BOM internal tables in the program. you can find all the BOM internal tables in the include "LCSDSTOP". I have never done this. Please try and see whether this will work for you.

Sales Order BOM-Cost of Sales issue

Dear Gurus
Standard Sales Order BOM supports either Pricing Inventory control, Delivery at Header level (Item category group ERLA) or All these at Component level ( Item category group LUMF).
I have a scenario where in Header is Intangible and Relevent for Pricing only. However Down the level parts are relevent for Delivery and Inventory control.
I am exploding the Sales Order BOM with Item category group ERLA. However When I do Billing only for Header I do not get Cost of Sales as there is no Cost in Header. I cannot bring Down the level components in Billing as these are not Billing relevent.
Just To Clarify it more these are Cost is not posted in COPA as Protability analysis documents are only generated with Billing.

I would like to know what Admin module the following Oracle apps come under. For example, I know WSH (Shipping) comes under the Fulfillment Approver Admin. I would like similar information on the following modules.

Convertion an inventory to other inventory without use Production module

We are going to register all tarnsaction about converting A product to B product but we dont want to use production module(BOM and Prodcution report) .

Yes. We can create recursive methods in ABAP Objects. You need to take care when to come out of the recursion. Otherwise it will lead to indefinite loop.
Mostly, in SAP PP module BOM related programs require recursion.
The program can be like this :
Method RECURSION.
if <condition>.
exit.
else.
call method RECURSION.
endif.
endmethod.

Need a bapi r fn module to update the batch classification in the bom

hi,
iam working a exit : exit_saplcoml_001.This exit is for material quantity calculation.the materials are currently classified in the material master under the classification tab.Ans due to this the classification becomes cross plant.
To make the material classification plant specific i have decided to maintain the classification in the batch classification of bom.i am finding for a function module r a bapi to update the calculated values in to the batch classification characteristics.please help mi with this.

I need help to create a z report of subcontracting bom and their components exploded in Schedule agreement. Seems like there is no standard report which can give the boms from purcashing doc. Can someone please tell me the name of the function module for it? any help will be highly appreciated.

Perhaps you can run ST05 while run some transaction for display the
BOM.
Once the transaction for display the BOM gets finished, you need to stop the
trace on ST05 and then display it, you will see tables readden in the
transaction,

Function module to get BOM which WOULD be created if I open a production

Is there a function module to get the BOM which WOULD be created if I open a production order?
note that I don't have the produciton order created.
I already tried with the FM CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 and CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ.
I debuged the CO01, but I did not find it.
This BOM should include materials which are under a phantom component.

thanks for the reply, but for the FMs CO_SD_RESB_FROM_BOM_CREATE and CO_SD_NEW_BOM_ASSIGNEMENT it's necessay to have an production order but I don't have it. And with CS_ALT_SELECT_COUPLED_PRODUCT I could not get a BOM.
Let me explain in more details how I'm going to use this information, I think I was not clear in my post.
I'm creating a report to compare the BOM of a production order with BOM which would be created today if I open a production order.
Then I can check if there was changes in the reservation (RESB) of the production order. If this changes happened, how many pieces. I'll check also if there was differences in consumption, because during the production order confirmation it is possible to make changes.
I would not like to make the BOM explosion "manually" because there are too many variables in the BOM like phantom, alternative, scrap and so on, but I don't know if the function module that I'd like to use exists.

Tables for Eq., BOM: EQST, STKO, STPO.
Tables fro Fun., Loc., BOM: TPST, STKO, STPO.
You can use FMs: CS_BOM_EXPL_TPL_V1, CS_BOM_EXPL_EQU_V2 & CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 for extracting the appropriate BOM related data.
And for the Alternatives please check the customizing or check with your respective Module experts for the appropriate configuration.
