PPPoE broadband access IOS for ASR
Hello all,
We are currently using a 7206VXR (7200 Software (C7200P-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)) as a BRAS for ADSL (PPPoE authentication and bandwidth control).
We are currently contemplating the migration to an ASR1001 but we want to make sure the IOS / license we can still provide services currently offered.
I don't know what features to look for in the feature navigator tool. Below the configs that have me questioning. Besides that there will be only dynamic routing (ospf), some ACLs and RADIUS configuration

Memory Leak Issue for Adobe Access iOS API

We are trying to develop an iOS app (with ARC enabled) using Adobe Acces API 4.0 and we have identified that the function [drmManager createDRMSession] has memory leak.
DRMSESSION = [drmManager createDRMSession:METADATA playlist:PLAYLIST error:nil complete:^() {}];
We are using:
DRMSESSION -> weak
METADATA ->strong (as need to share within object)
PLAYLIST ->strong (as need to share within object)
After calling this function, the object is unable to dealloc and most of the leaking object related to networking (such as CFNetwork...)
Is this a known issue for the Adobe Access iOS API or we are missing some key steps.
Any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks in advance.ans0600, sorry about that, I read Hiroshi's forward too quickly. I've done a little digging and have come up with two work-arounds:
Create a file with ARC disabled to translate the returned object to be an autorelease
declare the returned DRMSession as __unsafe_unretained and use CFRelease, as noted on stackexchange
In the future we may change this method to return an autoreleased object to avoid this issue. Let us know if you have any further questions! -

ios 7.1.2 on all ios devices. Have zero access to my icloud docs on mobile devices since ios 7.0.Make sure you are signed in to iCloud using the same AppleID as used for the files.
Settings app > iCloud > Documents&Data. Make sure each of the iWorks apps is turned on.
Go to the settings for each app and make sure (Use iCloud)
For 2 or 3 above, if they are already on, turn them off and then back on. -

Sorry for the delay in response.
To control access to ASR5000 via telnet, other than configuring an ACL, there is a way to disable telnetd by configuring local context.
For example:

no server telnetd
#exit

my ipad 4 has been connected to my wireless network using a netgear sky broadband router succesfully for a few weeks, suddenly can't connect, network is showing but no signal - all other wireless gadgets are connected just fine - including iphone - any ideas?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Comment?If I may, I agree that version 3.1.3 is the best for the iPhone 3G, however, I am currently travelling in Europe and I have a SIM card from a local mobile company. I discovered the hard way that there is an option missing: Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data (on/off). This option is not present in iOS 3.1.3. So basically, you disable 3G but it is impossible to block EDGE, and your phone will automatically revert to it if 3G is not available, and you will occur cellular data fees anyway.
I am sure of what I am saying because with the local service I use, I have unlimited data for $4 per day, but it is debited as soon as I consume one byte of data, then it is free until midnight the same day. Event if I have set Enable 3G = off, Data Roaming = off, for two days in a row, I was still charged the $4 a day because the Cellular Data was not off!
I compared with my wife's iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.1, there is the three options, Enable 3G (on/off), Data Roaming (on/off), Cellular Data (on/off). The option to turn it off simply doesn't exists on iOS 3.1.3!
With some research, I found that it is possible to block it anyway if you change your APN (Access Point Name) to an invalid setting. The easiest way to do this is to connect to the Internet using WiFi, then access this web site with Safari: http://unlockit.co.nz/ (from your iPhone).
This online tool allows you to change your APN, it is very useful when you travel abroad and you use local SIMs. On the first screen press Continue, on the second screen press Custom APN to create an APN for a local mobile company, or press Disable Data (FakeAPN) to disable 3G and Edge for good. When creating a Custom APN, you will be asked to choose a Country and a Provider, then press Create Profile. Then, either way, press Install and "Install Now" or "Replace", then press Done. This will add two things to your phone: first, an app-like icon for quick access to the website http://unlockit.co.nz/, second, a new menu in Settings > General, labelled "Profile", that contains your new APN. Note that it is possible to add several profile information, and some may conflict with each other. Remove those you don't need. Don't remove them if you are not sure!

Is there a way to access iOS Maps on the web? I ask this because there are so many errors in everything I've searched for thus far (including the 14+ buildings of my employer), that it will take forever to tap in problem reports for each one. Google made this a fairly simple process using http://maps.google.com and I'm hoping Apple has done or is going to do the same...

IOS7 set access code for IPad4 after update.
Why do I suddenly have an access code for my IPad4 after the ios7 update? I didn´t have an access code before, and I haven´t set one either. My wife says she hasen´t used the ipad since yesterday. I can access the ipad through Itunes on my Macbook, but I can´t reset the ipad because I need to turn off the "icloud search" in the ipad settings (which I can´t access because I don´t know the access code).
Can anyone help?

Can you access paid for apps/movies from iTunes on another device if you have not synced? I purchased movies on my new iPad, but need to delete some off as have no space left. I have not synced the movies I have purchased on my iPad to any other devices as yet and want to know if I can retrieve the movies from iTunes later if I removed them now without syncing first? I do not want to forfeit my purchases.. Please help!

See this article about troubleshooting the error message regarding access privelages. It may be preventing your iTunes library from being able to save/retain music you have recently imported to it, which may explain why no new content is being added to your device.
