Prefix in front of GDT name

Hello All,
While selecting GDT in the message structure, the names are either prefixed by Xsd or p1: or p2:. I have to everytime remove them to activate the message structure. Can any body please tell me why exactly it happens and how it can be removed?
Thanks and best regards,
Kulwant Singh

hi Kulwant,
XSD or P1 is assigned to datatypes.  XSD would mean that your data type is a Default XML type like string,
P1 would mean that it is another composite type.
Try doing the following.
In you messag type , create a Field with a name similar to taht of the GDT.
next go to the Types value help and select the GDT.  You would see the data type's type being prefixed by XSD or P1, but the name remains without any prefix.
Award points if useful
Regard
Abhishek

    iTunes only syncs to Apple devices.
    Assuming the media is not DRM protected, any of the media can be dragged and dropped from iTunes onto other drives (external, flash, etc) as the user chooses.

  • Please prefix 'mp4:' to the stream name to record H264/AAC/HE-AAC encoded data at FMS using DVR...

    I was able to modify the main.asc file in the application/livepkgr directory to include:
    * DVRSetStreamInfo :
    * This prototype was created to allow DVR recording funtionality to FLME to FMS
    Client.prototype.DVRSetStreamInfo = function (info)
        var s = Stream.get( "mp4:" + info.streamname + ".f4v" ) ;
        if (s)
            if (info.append)
            s.record ("append") ;
            else
            s.record () ;
            s.play (info.streamname) ;
    I get three status messages in the FLME encoding log:
    Requested DVR command has been successfully issued to Primary FMS server for stream livestream1
    Requested DVR command has been successfully issued to Primary FMS server for stream livestream2
    Please prefix 'mp4:' to the stream name to record H264/AAC/HE-AAC encoded data at FMS using DVR feature
    Now I have a few issues:
    1. How to I fix the issue with the 3rd status message "Please prefix 'mp4:' to the stream name to record H264/AAC/HE-AAC encoded data at FMS using DVR feature" since the code above is prefixing the "mp4:" to the stream name.
    2. In the applications/livepkgr/streams directory there is a file called "undefined.f4v" which is telling me the code above isn't passing the info.streamname variable.
    3. Also, what do I need to do to playback this .f4v file. I've tried opening it with Adobe Media Player, but it doesn't recognize it.
    I'm obviously using multi-bitrate streaming and that is working flawlessly.  My goal is to record this livestream to later playback as an mp4 file.
    Any ideas?
    UPDATE:
    I know on page 15 of the FMS 4.5.1 developers guide, "Configure DVR (HDS)" under "Publish a DVR stream", it states "To Publish a DVR stream from FLME, DO NOT check Record OR check DVR Auto Record. Publish the stream just as you publish any live stream. In the next section "Play DVR streams" is states that I can use SMP (Stobe Media Playback), which I am.  So that brings up two more questions:
    1. Why is my SMP Player not displaying the DVR funtionality (See image):
    In my SMP configuration, my streamType is "LiveOrRecorded" - default. There is a streamType = "dvr", but will I lose live funtionality?
    2. If I want to later on, package the stream into an mp4 file and play it back later for those who missed the live stream, what is the best approach for that?

    Two things: You need to have "DVRCast" application on server-side i.e. "dvrcast_origin" for DVR recording to work and secondly for mp4 recording your stream name should be "mp4:<streamname>.mp4" while publishing.

  • HT1386 SOME OF MY SONGS ARE GREY AND HAVE A DOTTED CIRCLE IN FRONT OF THE NAME AND WILL NOT SINC. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    Some of my songs are grey in my library, and some of them have a dotted circle in front of the names. They will show up in my library but will not sync to my phone. Any suggestions.

    Are you sure you aren't looking at the tracks in your iPhone/iPod?
    That greyed out and perforated circle thing happens when your iPhone is plugged in, you are looking at the music in it and some songs are physically in your phone (ready to play) and some are in the cloud (you can download to your phone whenever you want).
    I hope this helps

  • I've always been somewhat curious as to why Apple has this irritating habit of placing an "i" in front of the name of so many products.

    I realize that Steve Jobs was at the helm when all of this "i" stuff was being named. I just wonder how far he would take it… for instance, when someone would say "Steve, hey, where did you go?" I wonder if he ever said that he had to go have/take an iBM?
    All right, now before you get all bent out of shape about this, I'm fairly certain that Steve Jobs would have laughed at that joke. I'm just saying…

    Supposedly the "i" in front is a psychological tactic to promote possession and ownership amongst their mostly  younger minded consumer oriented customers who typically lack sufficient computer knowledge and/or mental maturity.
    "i" meaning "I" "Myself"  "Me" "My" "buy" > Mac
    iMac, iPod, iPhone, iBook, iPad, iWork, iBook, thus means....
    MyMac, MyPad, MyPod, MyPhone, MyWork, MyBook and so forth.
    Apple  refrained from using it on their "Pro" product lines, favoring a more serious tone to appeal to professionals and more mature minded users.
    MacBook Pro, MacPro, XRAID* , XServer*, LogicPro, Final Cut Pro etc.,
    Odd ball names are the MacMini (meaning a "small Mac"), MacAir (meaning it's lightweight), MacBook* (meaning it's small as book), Airport Express and Extreme. (routers)
    Admittedly "i" prefix does seem rather insulting to one's intelligence, likely why the only things I've purchased with "i" in them was iPods, only because it served a good function at the time and made nice gifts, but now no longer have anything else from Apple but a MacBook Pro running several operating systems to convey my computer seriousness (and success/confidence) to others when repairing their machines.

    Hi / Bonjour,
    According to the doc posted on Nicolas Gerard's website, it shouldn't be prefixed by default : http://gerardnico.com/doc/odi/webhelp/en/index.htm#ref_tools/snpsreadmail.html
    But the article was posted in 2008 so it might have changed.
    You can try to add
    "-ATT_PRF="Regards,

  • I keep getting ! in front of track names after moving my itunes library

    II've moved my music library to an external HDD, including the .itl/xml files, and keep getting an ! in front of various album track names, is tehre a way to update this for itunes, or is it track by track?

    I may have found an answer here:
    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/moving-your-itunes-library-to -a-new-hard-drive
    They only thing I can assume is that my external hard drive was slow to start and iTunes defaulted to its old directory (see the last paragraph at the link above). However, once my external was recognized shouldn't everything have fixed itself?

  • Schema name in front of trigger name.

    I have a doubt that all the triggers in my schema of the database of my application of about 200 users have the schema name before the trigger name. Say, if the trigger is 'Trig_1' & the schema is 'Schema_1', then the trigger name is like 'Schema_1.Trig_1'. But, today, i modified one trigger & created it without the schema extension like, say 'Trig_1' as per my eg. I hope, this does not create any problem.
    I hope, my question is clear. Please help in solving the doubt as it is urgent.
    Regards.

    Please help in solving the doubt as it is urgent.This is a simple enough problem to test. If it's that urgent you would be better off investigating it yourself rather than waiting for a passing guru to pontificate. But as I happen to be in the area... ;)
    Prefixing the object name with the schema name is a common enough practice in DDL scripts. When the schema name is omitted the object is created in the schema of the user running the command. If the schema name is included, the object is created in the schema specified. When this is the same as the user running the statement there is no difference. However, specifying the schema name does allow us to run installation scripts as power users i.e. those with privileges like CREATE ANY TABLE, CREATE ANY TRIGGER.
    Why would we want to do this? Well, if we want to roll out a change to every schema it's a lot easier to log on as the power user account and run one script which installs a trigger in two hundred schemas than it is to log on as two hundred different accounts and run two hundred scripts.
    Whether this reflects your situation is a question only you can answer. How is your application installed? If it's run from a single master script you need to include the schema owner in the DDL.
    I hope my answer is clear.
    Cheers, APC

  • !!!!! Keeps coming up in front of song names

    About a month ago, I noticed that !!! kept coming up next to the title of some of my songs. I didn't know what it meant, so I just started to erase the songs. I don't know why I did that, I'm paying for it now! When I click on the song with the ! in front of it, it asks me if I want to locate the original file. I said yes, and I still can't find any of the songs. I've looked in ALL my iTunes folders and still nothing. I've also done a general search for all mp3 music hiding in any other places and still nothing is coming up that I need. I need help and my warranty is up and now they want to charge me to walk me through the steps on how to fix it. HELP PLEASE!!!

    They should be where they were when they were added to iTunes. If you move them about by hand, or some other piece of software like Windows Media Player does it for you, then iTunes will get confused.
    Take one of the files that has a in front of it and click CTRL-I to get info. Click cancel whene asked to locate the file, then look at the summary tab. This should give the location where iTunes expects to find the file.
    Now use Windows search function and search your hard drive for the filename to see if you can find out where it really is.
    List both paths back here, assuming you can find the problem file, and I will try to make more sense of things. I might be able to give my script a tweak to give it a better chance to detect the moved files.

  • "g" prefix on many DAQmx variable names

    I am new to DAQmx.  As I look through example programs, I find many variables have a 'g' prefix, such as in "gTaskHandle".  Can anyone explain why this prefix is used?  There is also the use of a "gh" prefix.  What meaning does that have?

    Hi,
    That 'g' probably means global.
    This is a naming convention used by the coder of those samples.
    I myself use a similar way to identify my variables within the body of the code.
    I find it useful, too.

  • Accssing xml tags with name space

    <XML>
    <A> Text line 1 </A>
    <A> Text line 2 </A>
    <A> Text line 2 </A>
    </XML>
    I need to know how to Create and access the tag values using name space. could you send me the code please ?
    Thanks

    Hi:
    If you want to use namespace in XML file. You have to define a DTD file or Schema file. Those file you created to validate the XML file. So you can also define a namespace in DTD and Schema or not.
    When you define a namespace in DTD or Schema, you can use a prefix in front of tag name.

  • Multiple schemas assigned to a workspace

    I'm trying to write an app that accesses other schemas besides the apex user I'm using. I can't figure out how to assign more than one schema to a workspace. All help is sincerely appreciated
    Rich

    you don't have to assign other schemas ... but you can access them.
    Suppose you have default schema X (x is user that own that schema) in worspace, tableA is in schema A and tableB is in schema B.
    Then you login as user A (that own schema A) and exceute:
    grant select on tableA to X;Then you login as user B(that own schema B) and exceute:
    grant select on tableB to X;Now you can as user X (whose schema is default in your workspace) select data from both tables: tableA and tableB as well.
    Login as X user and execute:
    select * from a.tableA;
    select * from b.tableB;If you want to ommit that schema prefix in front of table names, you can as user X execute:
    create synonym tableA on a.tableA;
    create synonym tableB on a.tableB;Now you can execute query like:
    select * from tableA;
    select * from tableB;but thoise object are not in schema X but in scema A and B...
    Hope this helps! The best way for other questions in this subject to place in other forum...

  • JDeveloper - ESB / BPEL - JMS Adapter - prefix queue name with db schema

    When I use the JMS Adapter in ESB to create a new message queue producer or consume using database (AQ) I'm experiencing a problem when selecting the queue.
    I can browse the queue in the database but when I have selected the queue JDeveloper prefix it with the schema name owning the queue.
    Example:
    java:comp/resource/DocumentQueueResourceProvider/Queues/QUEUES.DOCUMENT_IMPORT_QUEUE
    Schema owner is QUEUES and the name of the queue is DOCUMENT_IMPORT_QUEUE.
    The problem is when I try to use it its unable to look up the queue and I have to manually remove the prefix from .wsdl file before deploying it - as with setting mcf.IsTransacted='false'.
    When the resource provider finds the queue and exposes it in the JNDI three it does it without the prefix.
    Question: How do I either:
    a) make the schema prefix be removed by JDeveloper
    b) make the resource provider prefix the queue name with the schema name.
    Anybody?
    Best regards
    Christian Damsgaard

    Try this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsd:schema targetNamespace="http://www.yourcompany.com/msg"
    xmlns:tns="http://www.yourcompany.com/msg"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd"
    nxsd:encoding="ASCII" nxsd:stream="chars" nxsd:version="NXSD"
    elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
    <xsd:element name="rootnode" type="xsd:string" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="${eof}"/>
    </xsd:schema>
    This will result in a single node xml.

  • Add prefix to file names using AppleScript

    Hello,
    I'm trying to write a script that when ran, will add the prefix "R" to all file names within a folder called "1 Reverse Footage". I've tried two different scripts (below) and they aren't working. Any help is much appreciated!
    1st attempt
    property folder_path : "/Users/rdarton/Documents/SloMo/1 Reverse Footage"
    repeat
              tell application "Finder"
                        set name of items of folder "Documents:SloMo:1 Reverse Footage" of home to "R" & name
              end tell
    end repeat
    This changes one file name to "RFinder" instead of adding "R" to the original file name and then stops with an error saying "Finder got an error: The operation can’t be completed because there is already an item with that name."
    2nd attempt
    property folder_path : "/Users/rdarton/Documents/SloMo/1 Reverse Footage"
    set prefix to "R"
    repeat
              tell application "Finder"
                        set name of items of folder "Documents:SloMo:1 Reverse Footage" of home to prefix & name
              end tell
    end repeat
    This also changes one file name to "RFinder" instead of adding "R" to the original file name and then stops with an error saying "Finder got an error: The operation can’t be completed because there is already an item with that name."

    Try something like:
    tell application "Finder"
    set the_folder to folder "path:to:folder"
    set the_file to item 1 of the_folder
    set extension_hidden to extension hidden of the_file
    set extension hidden of the_file to true
    set the_name to displayed name of the_file
    set extension hidden of the_file to extension_hidden
    the_name
    end tell
    the_file can be specified by index, or by name, or by matching a specific set of criteria. Provide the folder's actual path in line 2, with : characters separating each element of the path.
