Price Information Scale Price

When entries in the price information ( or contract price) table exists for the same contract + line item, the price is labeled with "**" as "Scale Price Exists".
How do scale prices work in MDM (lowerbound?) ? And I don't believe it's replicated from ECC contracts.

It's not more than one price per item, but more than one price per item per contract + line. We have no problem maintain just 1 price per item.
I'm just curious from a process perspective, how are scale prices used? Are they used in conjunction with the lowerbound field?

Help needed in creating Front End GUI

Hello all,
Iam trying to develope a Front end Gui. Reading data from a spread sheet, which has the following data 6 cloumn's 1) Parameter 2) Group 3) Max value 4) Min value 5) Default value 6) Value. Group is pretty much again classified in to 4-types.
a) Temperature group --- Slide
b) Switch --- Push button
c) Sensor group (voltage or pressure) ---- Knobs
d) Digital Inputs --- Numeric Input
From the spread sheet,for each parameter based on what type of group I should to create either a slider, or a switch or a knob or a Digital Input. And Based on 3rd and 4th column information, scale should be adjusted. 5th column should be used to set a default value and 6th column to assign a value
to that parameter.
Some one pls give me any suggestion how to approach, begin with this process. Iam worried how to classify the parameters in to group's.

You could set up 15 to 20 controls of each type on your front panel. You will need to work with references to each control to get and set properties since there will be no way to wire them up to any specific functions on your block diagram since which controls mean what will vary during run time. So you would move the block diagram terminals for the 15-20 controls of each type off to the side of your diagram.
When you go through your setup spreadsheet, you can set the visibility and front panel coordinates of each control you want to use. For any you don't want to use, you will make them invisible. Use property nodes to set the properties of each control.
When you want to read from or write to a control, you will need use the reference of the particular control with a property node to get or set its value.
This is not an easy archtitecture. You will need to maintain arrays of references for each type of control. You will also need to maintain a cross reference array so that you if want to access Control C (for example), you know which reference to index out which might happen to be element 1 in the array of slide references. Perhaps control G would be element 4 of your array of knob references.
But with good organization of your control references and perhaps some good subVI's for setting and obtaining the references so you can index them out of the appropriate array, it can be done. I would recommend looking at Ben's Action Engine Nugget for ideas of how to store the references in a functional global variable.

Change Default Page Orientation

After fiddling a bit with the settings in Ambrosia's Easy Envelopes (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/easyenvelopes/) I now find that that the default orientation on the printer dialog is always landscape.
How do I change the default page orientation on either the Standard or a saved preset from landscape to portrait? (Yes, for a saved preset I tried clicking on the portrait image and selected "save" but that didn't change what was selected the next time.)

I am not sure what the Ambrosia software set, but the page format information - scale, orientation, and paper size - aren't saved in the presets you mentioned or when saving a new preset.
You could try deleting the com.apple.print.PrintingPrefs.plist file from your home's Library/Preferences folder. Or you could use TextEdit to reset the orientation by bringing up the Page Setup dialog and changing the orientation to portrait and selecting Settings->Save as Default.

Query about price information in the MDM SRM catalogue

I am setting up an MDM (version 2) catalogue for an SRM system for the first time, and I am considering how to structure the fields.
We only need to hold a price for one unit for each item - i.e. we do not need to use price scales.
In the example repository, prices are held in a qualified lookup table in field PRICE INFORMATION. There is some complexity in using this type of lookup table and my question is: can I avoid this and set up normal fields in the repository for price and currency?
My concern is that the search user interface (SUI) will be hardcoded to work with PRICE INFORMATION because it must be using some logic to compare the requested quantity to the price scales to arrive at a final price.

Question Outbound Price Catalogue (VPRICAT) - Scales

does anybody now how to activate scales in Outbound Price Catalogue (TCode VPRICAT)?
Although we have maintained scale for price condition in TCode VK11/VK12, scales are not determined in Price Catalogue.

Scale price not picked

Hi Experts,
I have issue when the condition has scale price it is not picling as per the quantity in the scales mainatained, I have checked the condition records valididty , which is fine, Please help me to know what would have been reasons for not picking the scale priece.

goto the sales order in VA02 select the item & GOTO - item conditions - display condition record - and Press F2.
please check the scales have you maintained or not.
if maintained check Unit Of Measure or Sales unit = conversion factor is there or not for Material Master Record
whether the condition type is carried with automatic pricing or not.
please check it and update to the forum.

Scales for sales price condition

Hello,
we want to enter scales for a material/customer combination in VK11.
We use condition type PR00.
Our scales are:
1.
Scale quantity: 1000
Amount: 4500 USD
2
Scale quantity: 5000
Amount: 5000 USD
Since the quantity AND the price for the 2nd scale are higher than for the 1st scale, we get the information message: Amount 5000 USD must be smaller than the preceding value 4500 USD. However we need to keep it that way. But SAP will not let us proceed without fixing this problem.
I guess the control data might have some influence on that? Our Scale basis is on C (Quantity scale) and our Check is on A (Descending).
Any suggestions?

       But system take it as like this
         1)Scale quantity: 1000
          Amount: 4500 USD
        2)Scale quantity: 5000
         Amount: less then 4500 USD
        Because the when the quantity is up then the rate commonly decrease.

Old Purchase orders and template - Price Information not taken into account

Hi experts,
In MDM catalog, I have a product with 'Price Information' and with 'Contract price'. I create a shopping cart with the 'Price Information'.
Then, I create another shopping cart using the anterior througth the functionality 'Old Purchase orders and template'.
The price taken into account is the 'Contract Price'
Is this the standard procedure?

as far as i know the price preference is in this order
1. Contract price
2. Purchase Info record
3. list price
so in that case - this is standard procedure
you can confirm - by doing the same process for an item that has ONLY price information (list price) and see if that price is copied from old to new SC

Selling pricing superceed scale price in sales order creation

Hi all,
I have a scenario as below.
Material A has maintain 3 pricing condition as below.
1. Selling price (PR00)
material A : normal selling price(PR00) = $2.00.
2. Free goods
material A : free goods -> 12 + 2 (exclusive free items)
3. Scale pricing
material A : scale pricing -> 12 items = $ 1.80
6 items = $1.00
3 items = $ 0.80
If the customer buying 12 items, he will be given 2 items free, the 12 items will be charged for rm2.00(normal selling price) instead of scale price $1.80.
Meaning to say if there's a free goods determine, i need the items to be charged with normal price instead of taking scale price.
How can I do this? I need this urgently.

Please check if you use inclusive in free goods determination then the price will be picked $2.00 but in exclusive that is 102 or 122 you will get $1.80only, check this and confirm.

Each PO Line Item price should be as per the scale in contract?

I have a PO with 2 line items, both line items are for the same material.As I order 2 different quantities, I get 2 different prices, i.e. per line item. (As per the Scales Maintained in the contract)
However once I save the PO, and then display the PO, the price is taken for the total quantity. Is there any way that I can have 2 different prices for both materials in the same PO?
This behaviour has changed in the last 1 month only.
Earlier in our SAP system each line item had different price as the scale for the ordered quantity in that line item.
We though it could be due to Group Condition checked in the Condition Type, but that check has been in our system since long time, hence it cannot be the reason.

Yes... this is a standard behavior..
You can do one option...
When PO fetch the price from contract, then copy the price and enter it manually again, then PO can remember the price after save..

Scale base value with price discrepancy credit note

Hi gurus,
I have a problem in which credit notes for price discrepancies are having direct effect over scale base value in structure S060. I tried to modify the update rules, but found out this is hard coded for this structure. The other solution will be maybe to include a new pricing procedure and sales document just for discepancies, handling a fixed value condition type. Since the rebate which is experiencing the scale base value update is a quantity rebate I don´t know if it will have the desired effect.
The question is:
Is it possible to avoid the update to S060 through a user exit?
I saw RV60AFZZ could be used, but I´m not really sure if it will work to avoid quantities update ?

MDM 2.0 - OCI mapping of field "Price Information"

Hi SDN,
we are on SRM 5.0.
we are setting up MDM 2.0. We do a new installation, although we were already on MDM 1.0. Anyway, we want to keep the repository from MDM 1.0.
Right now we have problems transferring the price of shopping cart positions from the MDM Web Search UI to EBP.
what we did so far:
1. set up j2ee server and oracle
2. set up MDM 2.0 Server
3. Deploy MDM 2.0 SP 2.0 Java API and UI stuff to j2ee
4. set MDM 1.0 Repository in the appropriate place in the file system of MDM Server and unarchived it in the MDM console
5. run repository upgrade using link from upgrade guide (http://<j2eeserver>:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcmdmsrmcat~uiutil/Utilities)
6. upgrade configuration (same link as before, but step 2)
still, in the OCI Mapping for price, I still have "price - amount" mapped on NEW_ITEM-PRICE
and still, the price, which I can see in the search UI, is not being transferred to EBP...
I am not sure, if I have to have "Price Information - amount" available as OCI mapping field. Right now, this is NOT the case. In MDM 1.0 it used to work fine with "Price - amount"
In my repository in table cataloge items I have the field "Price Information" which is a qualified lookup table, based on look up table "Price". "Price" contains the field amount, which carries the price value.

just another brief status Q:
Now I am able to receive the price in EBP.
But this is a workaround. Just for a test I did a new OCI mapping like this:
I leave the OCI field NEW_ITEM-PRICE blank and use instead
NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD4 --> mapped on --> Price Information - Amount.
Thus I am able to get the value of the price field in my BADI bbp_catalog_transfer.
There seems to be a mismatch of field types. In the MDM Console the amount field is of type 'currency' - I assume this is decimal in fact.
In my incoming structure in the BADI I have tabletype catalog_content which is based on structure BBP_WS_OCI_ITEM_S which carries field price of type DEC... seems reasonable to me - but in the debugger I can't see the incoming price value. Instead now I use BBP_WS_OCI_ITEM_S-CUST_FIELD4 which is of type CHAR20. This works! I regard this as a workaround and I am still researching to get the price field mapped correctly to the proper price field in my BADI.

I wonder how I can access this log and esp the OCI fields -- can you guide me there?
I was clicking through the entries of SLG1 but don't get to see the OCI fields of the transfer, though an entry which is because of the data transfer from mdm towards EBP.

How to activate Image, Pdf, Hyperlink and Scale Prices in SRM-MDM

Hi Experts,
I have requirement to activate the following features:
1. Image
2. PDF
3. Hyperlink
4. Scale Prices
These should be activated and should be available in the current business' internal catalogs so that users could be able to easily identify the item they want to create.
Does anyone know the steps on how to proceed on these?
I have read and researched about this and I found out that objects should be imported in Data Manager and the link between items should be mapped in Import Manager.
I tried this first in Image, I was able to successfully import image. I tried adding the link first in existing item in data manager by right click on the Image field->Add/Link New... -> I was brought to the screen where I should add the image again, so I added ti again and there I was able to link the image and the item.
I understand that for the image to be available in the end-user's internal catalog screen, I should modify UI Configuration. So I added the Image field by going to Customize Display Tab-> and adding it in the Item Lists, Cart Preview, Compare, Item details radio button. But when I checked on end-user's internal catalog screen, Image column is still not there.
I believe PDF and Image has the same process. But how could I add the link between image and item for the entire catalog items?
Please also help on how to activate the Hyperlink and Scale price functionality.
