Print to different tray from Oracle Financials

Is there anyway I can setup Oracle Financials so it prints by default to tray 2 on a specific printer instead of tray 1? The printer is setup for legal paper on tray 1 and is used that way the majority of the time. However, a user has a need to print to this printer with very large reports from within Oracle Financials that are not legal sized.
We are using 11.5.10.2
Thanks,
Jon

    Friends,
SAP has  to receive the Customer credit limit data from Oracle Financials.  Can any one help me what idoc / bapi should i use for this inbound process.
If the question is not clear ,  please let me know.

    Hi there,
In WE20, check if there is Oracle system defined as Logical system in your company. If yes, then click on the logical system. It will display the details.Check in the inbound parameters what message types are assigned for that system.
If Logical system is not defined for Oracle, then we need to define 1.
I guess message type is CRESTA. Not sure.

  • Emailing Reports ^i from Oracle Financials !1i

    HI All,
Please can somebody assist me. We currently have a requirement from our client to email the custom written statements to the customers. These statements were written in Reports 6i and are run through Oracle Financials 11i.
I have read through the distribution and emailing documentation but am no closer to emailing the documents.
I have managed to "burst" the reports, using a distributiion.xml file. This however only works when run from my personal computer, when i run it through Oracle Financials 11i, no output is generated.
I have not managed to get any of the emailing functionality working, ie I have set the DESTYPE, DESNAME and DESFORMAT parameters but still nothing arrives via my email.
    Please can somebody assist me.
    thanks

You must define one driver in the financial like this with this command line
    uuencode $PROFILES$.FILENAME OracleReport | mail $PROFILES$.[email protected]
in this way when the report will be generated it will be send by e-mail
    to one specific email-address.
We do that since longtime and it works properly
You must define a new profile wher you will put the email address

  • Retrieve backend SQL from Oracle Financials Report

    Hi,
There is a report set up in Oracle Financials (portal). This is running via a concurrent program, how can I view the backend SQL behind the report
    Can anyone help?
    p.s. I am using version 12
    Thanks

    Hi.
In the System Administrator responsibility, query the report in the Concurrent Programs definitions and check the Enable Trace checkbox. Run the program. A trace file will be placed on your $ORACLE_HOME/admin/udump directory. Tkprof this trace file and open the output generated.
    Hope this helps.

  • Printing to multiple trays from an Adobe form

    Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to create a button on an Adobe Form that will send a print job to multiple trays? We have several Adobe forms that need to be printed in triplicate on different coloured paper. Ideally we'd like a button on the Adobe form that will send the print job to all 3 printer trays.
Apologies if this is a basic question, hope someone can help.
    Thanks.

Ok thanks, that's beyond my skill set unfortunately! I was hoping it might possible in similar way that macros are used in Word/Excel.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Automatically print to different printers from outlook

I apparently have a unique situation that I can't seem to find any information on. I need to find a way to print emails to any one of the 65 different printers installed on my work computer as soon as they come in. The printer that the email gets printed
to is determined by something specific in the body of the email. I setup a rule that would run a script I created that would change my default printer to the printer I need the emailed printed to and then forward the email to another folder that triggered
another rule to print it. Unfortunately, Outlook 2013 requires my to click on file and print before it actually changes the printer to the one specified in the script.
    Please help!
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Normally Outlook rules only print via the default printer, selecting the printers is beyond the control of Outlook build-in rules.
If you have a rule written via a script, I suggest you post the question and the script to MSDN forum, in which you can get script specific support:

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Exporting Data for a single set of books from Oracle Financials

I have a multiorg set-up with multiple set of books in an Oracle instance. I want to be able to export data for a single set of books into a new Oracle instance.
Any insight into how this can be done (without going through each of the tables and referential integrity constraints) will be of great help
    thanks

It is a bit unclear what you are sending these POs to the other system for? Is it for matching to invoices there? Is it for receiving into inventory there?
Are these two entities belong to the same parent but on two different oracle apps databases?
In essence what do they do with the PO that you are sending to them?
Why do you think there will be intercompany invoicing?
    Thanks

  • Very Urgent !! XMLP reports not printing directly from Oracle Apps.

    Hi ,
We are not able to print XMLP reports directly from Oracle Applications(Concurrent Manager) to the printer.
We have checked the following setups and they are ok.
    1. Have a Postscript ready printer.
    2. PASTA has been installed and setup.
    3. The printer type "--Pasta Universal Printer Type" is associated with the printer and that the seeded "PDF Publisher" print style and PASTA_PDF printer driver are associated with the printer type. Third party program "pdftops" has been installed in the instance.
    4. pasta_pdf.cfg is present and that it contains an "uncommented" entry as follows:
    preprocess=pdftops {infile} {outfile}
    5. The XMLP Report also has print style as "PDF Publisher".
Initially, Step 5 was not being followed and the printer was printing the XML data instead of the pdf output.
Now, after changing it to PDF Publisher, nothing is coming as output to the printer.
I have checked that both the XML and pdf files are getting generated.
Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Satrajit

    Hi Satrajit,
Please make sure you have pdftops is available on the server and in the PATH.
    Please run following two commands.
    $ which pdftops
    $ which pdf2ps
Please use one of two commands you found in the server.
Please review Metalink Note 338990.1 for more details.

  • Different trays for different transactions

    Hello again,
we want SAP to print from different trays of the printer, when using different transactions.
Does anyone of you know, if that is possible? How/Where can I set this?
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    D.

    Hi D,
Depending on your environment, in Windows you can install the same printer twice - setting up default trays for the two instances separately, so you will have the same printer with tray 1 and tray 2 installed.
Since they will appear as separate printers in Windows - and therefore SAP, you will be able to assign specific print layouts to each of them - in the PLD toolbar go to Print Layout Designer -> Display Document Properties -> Paper Format -> Printer and choose according to your requirement.
This way different transactions (in fact print layouts) can print to different trays of the same printer.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Nat

  • Not only different trays...but different printers

Another not urgent and more academic than anything question about forms.
I have a form with three pages, the users need it on three different types of paper and they have three different printers they would like it to print from.  Ok...now, I know how to print to different trays based on the page...but can I direct each page to a different printer altogether?
I have a solution that is likely to be the best one.  I'm going to tell them to buy a new printer with multiple trays.  : )

THought I would close this one.  I told them to buy a new darned printer and they did.  : )

  • Oracle Financials or Hyperion Planning for variance analysis??

We are considering Hyperion Planning for our Departmental budgets/forecasts and I'm have a disagreement with a few piers. Was hoping you could help. It's my contention that the budgets/forecasts AND actuals should be populated in Hyperion Planning. A few of my piers contend that the budgets/forecats should be housed in Hyperion Planning and pushed down to Oracle Financials for variance analysis - in order to provide drill back capability into the transacations that caused the variance.
Since H.P. is a consolidated system, I would think it's impossible to budget at a summary account level in H.P. and push it to base level/transaction level within Oracle Financials (one to many). In my view, the actuals should flow up from Oracle Financials, via FDM, into H.P. where variance analysis can take place? I would think drill back capability could be provided via FDM within Planning?
Anyway, was hoping to get your thoughts.

    Hi,
We are currently in the final phase of implementing Oracle Financials and Hyperion for the same purpose that you have described in your post. We use Oracle Financials to record actuals and then transfer it to Hyperion under the scenario 'Actual'. While the budget/forecast data in only entered/saved in Hyperion. There are several financial reports for variances that are generated out of Hyperion. So far, this arrangement is serving us pretty well. I second your point that in Hyperion, we can easily compare summary level data. We have Hyperion reports that do variances calculations for sub-totals. In fact, we are also using HP reports for consolidated statements such as Balance sheet, Income statement etc. The actual data for these statements is coming from GL.
As for drill through functionality (from HP to sub-ledger details in financials), we are in process of implementing FDM and use it for both (1) loading data and (2) drill through.
    Hope this helps.

  • What is the business downtime to allow Oracle Financials upgrade

We are shortly to embark on an upgrade from Oracle Financials
10.7to 11i. We will be implementing MRC and EFC at a later

We have tested upgrade process in two test environments. I'd
appreciate views from anyone who's completed an upgrade or who
knows something about it as to how many hours/days it takes to
carry out the upgrade. How many business days Down Time for

My experience is 4 days (24 hours) for technical upgrade and 2
