  • Print Option Window Pop-Up at Every Print!

I need to run an action script that setting some print options then print the document without the print option window popping-up. Is there anyway to prevent the print option window from popping-up everytime it prints from a PC? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for your response. I was told that it's because the script was written from a Mac and I tried to run on the PC. It works after I rewrote the script.

  • Wireless printing without printer driver

I have a HP CLJ2600n which I use for wireless printing at home via a router. My wife has a laptop from the office running on Windows which does not allow her to install any software, not even printer drivers. I can get it to connect with the home internet via the router but can I get it to connect such that I can print without needing to install the printer driver? Is cloud printing an option?

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the LaserJet 2600n is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums - Printing and Digital Imaging.

  • Printing directly to printer without Print setup dialog box

I am using Crystal Reports 2008 with VB.NET 2008. Using the CrystalReportViewer control, how can I print directly to the printer without having the Print setup dialog box popup every time?

Only way would be to create your own print button and use the report engine APIs. A good sample app is vbnet_win_printtoprinter in this sample download:

  • When I try to print a test page The printer feeds the paper through the printer without printing

My printer is set up and Windows XP Home SP3 recognizes it. I have checked the Device Manager to see if I had any conflicts.
I didn't so I opened the print spooler and typed Test in Windows Notebook and hit print. It showed up in the print spooler but
the printer located the edge of the page then fed the paper through.  I uninstalled the printer and Printer driver and also the software. After I rebooted Windows found the printer and let me load the drivers and I printed a test page afterward and it printed fine. But then it went back to just feeding the paper through.
I have the latest windows installer version 4.5 running. All of Windows updates are up to date. I'm lost can anyone Help me

'''bold text'''I've tried several different virtual pdf printer applications including:
    Foxit pdf printer
    doPDF v 7
    Nitro PDF driver v5
    NovaPDF
    Simpo PDF Creator
    qvPDF
    Virtual PDF Printer
I took screenshots of the same small section of a sample pdf file saved to pdf using the virtual pdf printer freeware doPDF v7.
Both test screenshots were taken on the same computer, a laptop running Vista Home Premium.
You can clearly see the problem!

  • Print without preview in Windows 7

Till version 28 I could select a text part in the browser. Hit the printer button (icon) and save the selected text as pdf on the hard disk. As of 29 en higher, I get print preview and I can only print a complete page. This doesn't work for me and takes more time. After preview I have to select print again and don't get the part but the whole page and selection is disabled. Sometimes I print up to 50 times part of browser pages an hour.
Till now I have been downgrading back to version 28 after every update, but in every newer version I got the same problem. Why changing a winning team?
As long as I can remember I use Firefox the best browser out there. Keep up the good work.

The Print button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list opens the Print Preview window.
You can click the Print button in the Print Preview window or use the Print item in the File menu (File > Print) or use the Ctrl+P shortcut to have access to the print selection item and other print setup options.
    * Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu bar.
You can also move this Print Preview button to a toolbar via the Customize mode.

  • Print without print dialog?

Before you go all "security" on me there is a reason I need
to suppress the print dialog. We have a web app and we'd like to
offer coupons but the client is concerned about members printing
more than one copy. Using Flex I'm able to print an image without
showing it on the screen so it can't be saved, etc. But the print
dialog still shows and you can change the number of copies. I've
looked at Coupons.com and it looks like they have a browser plugin
for every major browser. I was hoping to avoid writing a plugin for
every browser by using Flash as the container. So does anyone know
for sure that this cannot be done in Flex/Flash?

Sorry, but security is all over this one. No can do. Please
file an enhancement request - maybe our Flex product staff can
figure out how to do this for a future version without compromising
    security.

  • Running scripts from Finder, and printing without a dialog

    Two questions:
    1. I need to launch an InDesign script from outside of InDesign -- such as launching the script from the finder (Mac) and having it run in InDesign. How can I do this?
    2. How can I script printing a document so that it automatically prints, bypassing the Print dialog box that a user would need to click on (I want it to print automatically in the background without the user doing anything)?

    1. Just save your script as an application and wrap your stuff in an "on run" statement.
    on run
    tell application "Adobe InDesign"
    --do stuff
    end
    end
See the Applescript Language Reference at developer.apple.com/applescript for more info.
    2. Yup. The "do stuff" in your case will probably look something like this:
    tell active document
--Set up options, assumes you have created a printer preset
-- with the output options you want
set active printer preset of print preferences to "my printer preset"
set page range of print preferences to all pages
    --And then print
    print without print dialog
    end

  • Print automatically on default printer without having to confirm

    Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way that an application (for exemple excel of Adobe reader) print without showing the printer popup ? The idea is that when we press print, it does automatically print on the default printer without having to click on OK.
THanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Gontie,
Besides Matteo C said, the file created by Microsoft Office would print directly via default printer without any popup window.
What application did you using to print from.
If it's browser, this thread may be helpful to you:

  • Deskjet 5550C: pages go through without printing

The deskjet 5550C, USB connected, has operated extremely reliably for years on different PCs, on my current PC (running XP pro SP3) since that was purchased in April 2008. The following problem started happening two days ago, no error messages. Nothing changed on my system between the time that the printer worked and when the problem started.
When I select the printer from any application (e.g. Notepad, Word, Adobe Reader) to print a page, the paper is drawn into the printer but then emerges straight out again without any printing. The only exception is if I open the 5550C deskjet printer assistant, choose Tools and updates/printer maintenance/print test page, click print, then a picture and the HP logo are printed. Also, if I click calibrate printer or if I change a cartridge, the calibration page prints OK.
If I conmnect another printer (Dell photo 928, also USGB connected) I can print properly from all apps. I have also run chkdsk /r, looked in device manager, tried different USB ports. Everything is OK with those, so I do not think there is any problem with the OS or PC hardware, it must be the printer or its software.
Things I have tried to diagnose/correct:
    1. Downloaded, installed and ran the HP print diagnostic utility (v 1.5): all items have a green checkmark, but trying test print, again the paper feeds through without printing.
    2. Disconnected the printer from mains, waited 1 minute, reconnected and let it reset: no change.
    3. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled all printer drivers and software using the CD that came with the printer (driver version 5.5.2.0). No change. Checked for driver updates, HP automatic check says: you have the latest drivers. Again ran the diagnostic utility: all green checkmarks, but as before print test page page loads paper, feeds through without printing The above steps naturally included numerous PC restarts as well.
Any advice welcome. If this cannot be easily fixed, is the printer dead or is it worth trying to get it repaired?
EDIT: I found this post on the board with an apparently similar problem:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-printing-questions/Deskjet-5550-prints-blank-page/m-p/122533
where the OP found that printing colour was OK and the problem was with the black cartridge. So I tried that, but again the page went though the printer without printing anything. So that and the faqct that calibration page prints OK from both cartridges shows that does not apply in my case.

Bumped, in the hope that someone can reply, thanks.

  • Printing from FLASH without "Print dialog Box" Pop-up window?

    hi guys,
i got a flash + OSX question, maybe someone can help me,
i'm working on a Adobe Flash (Flash version 9, actionScript
    3) project, running on a MacOS X 10.4, on a core2duo iMac, it is
connected to a printer (Xerox Phaser 6360).
    - the flash will be displayed in full screen.
    - it is a "create your own postcard- &- print it out"
    flash-based multimedia project.
    - so Flash will need to print stuff.
    issue is:
    - everytime when something need to be printed, macOS X will
prompt a "Print Box" pop-up window say Cancel or Print (see my jpeg
    below).
    - so it might overlap on top of my Flash project, which is
running full screen (so having the pop-up window overlapping my
    flash is no good).
so i need a solution to avoid this, any idea?
what i can think of are:
A- is there a way to avoid/by-pass this step? meaning a way
    not to show this?
    or
B- or is there a shareware/way to "auto-click RETURN button"
so even this screen appear it will be "auto-click" away.
    or ..C?
i knew there is a Plug-in (or Xtra) for Macromedia Director
    called: Print-o-matic,
    the URL is:
    http://www.printomatic.com/products.cfm/
it work well on the Director on Mac OS7, but they only made
it for Director & Authorware, not Flash :-( do you know
    something similar for Flash?
    this
is the pop-up Print dialog box i meant (which i want to avoid),
or u can copy the URL to view there:

    about the printer URL:
    [url=http://www.office.xerox.com/printers/color-printers/phaser-6360/enus.html]High

hope i'm able to get a solution here.
    thanks guys,

  • Save as window pop up serveral times while printing ONE file, and need to combine 2 files after print. Why??

I am using Acrobat 8 Professional.  I was trying to print 3 worksheets from Excel file to PDF file, after I selected the Adobe PDF printer driver, the save as window pop up, I click save after I place the file name, after the pdf generated 2 pages, the save as window pop up again, I need to save the file in different name. After the print job is done, I need to combine two file manually without any error.  Please find the attached file to try.

I have experienced this same problem with multipage excel files.  Try this: instead of using 'print' then 'acrobat', create the pdf by choosing 'Adobe', then 'Create pdf' from excels ribbon (at the top).  I use Excel 2007 so the same solution may not work for you.  Best of luck.

  • Destype=Printer; without url being redirected or popup window

In our old client/server enviroment, our users printed some reports directly to the printer. In the Oracle 9I web server, we user web.show_document to run a report with '_blank' so that the form is not changed to the report URL. Destype=Printer is in the URL and printers are setup on our AIX Unix server. It works but our users do not want to see any popup window and want to stay in a form. A message comes up saying "Report ran successfully". The users don't want this message or the window that it is in caused by web.show_document. They just want to print without seeing anything on the screen. Is this possible?

    Hi,
    Please try with following options
    1. Enter DESNAME with in quotes as '\\rgasion\F5-copyroom east -1' and print the Report
    (or)
    2. Go To Windows Printer Setup, Change printer name to F5-copyroom_east_-1(Remove space with underscore), then try to print
    or
    3. If you printer is Shared Network printer, Open Printer Property dialog and go to Sharing page, there set share name as F5-copyroom_east_-1, then try to print

The Print Preview function no longer works. Clicking Print Preview results in
    (1) a small window pops open in the middle of the screen then disappears
