Printer to be used in DSD application

Hi,
My client is using HP printers right now with an legacy application instaled on Palm Devices.
They print using Bluetooth.
We are developing MDSD application for them and want to know about the devices which we can use.
We are at MI 7.0 sp16.
Will we be able to use the old HP printers which they are using right now for printing using Bluetooth.
Suppose we go for Intermec devices , will it be possible for intermec devices to give print command to HP A4 size printer using bluetooth.If yes how can this be achieved.Please give a brief for the same.
Regards,
Akhil

Hello Akhil,
The mentioned HP printer is not supported by MI as part of STD offering and for that reason you will not be able use it with any device running STD MI and SAP MDSD. If your client needs to use this printer against SAP MI/MDSD to save his investment, its still possible - You will have to develop a printer driver (native and java component). Further as you mentioned as an other requirement of A4 size, its a matter of adapting the reports to A4 size etc. in MDSD. Your client has an option to use any device which can run SAP MI.
To develop this driver your client needs to contact companies like us who does this as one our our core areas. Please see. - http://www.indience.com/index.php/services/peripheral-devices-integration.html. If you need any further info please contact me.
Best Regards

  • Printing Web contents using Java Fx.

    Hi,
    How to Print Web contents using Java Fx application? ie, displaying a web page as it is on the application..........
    Thanks......

    You might want to try to SwingComponentize third-party Java web browser (JDic, NativeSwing).
    Another recommended alternative is to wait for the JWebPane because it is designed to work with JavaFX (http://weblogs.java.net/blog/alex2d/archive/2008/12/jwebpane_projec_1.html). No date is given to JWebPane's release though. JWebPane will be my Christmas's wish.

    We are trying to implement a process so that any document that needs to be printed through our Java application will be printed as PDF using Adobe Reader.
    For which, We created and execute the below command line to call Adobe Reader and print the PDF on a printer.
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /T "\\<Application Server>\Report\<TEST.PDF>" "<Printer Name>".
    Current Situation: The above command line parameter when executed is working as expected in a User's Workspace.
    When executed in a command line on the Application Server, it is working as expected.
    But, the same is not working while executing it from Deployed environment.

    When I print to PDF using Acrobat 11 Pro from any application the acrobat Reader does not launch automatically. Associations are correct. Happens from Chrome, IE, Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Previously had deskPDF installed but uninstalled correctly. Can't find a preference setting for the auto launch. Thx for your help,  Bruce

    A simple way is to flatten the form fields, which converts the field appearances to regular page contents. You can do this with JavaScript or PDF Optimizer (Advanced > PDF Optimizer > Discard Objects > Flatten form fields). A very nice script that adds a custom menu item can be found here: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

  • Is there a way to print out the objects (controls) used in an application in VS 2012?

    My students are required to change the name property of all the control objects used in their applications (buttons, labels, etc.). I can have them print the code, but that only shows the names of the controls used in their code, not necessarily all of
    them. Is there a way for the students to print the names of all the control objects used in their application?

    Hi D Schultz,
    Based on your description, I'm afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue.
    Just to make this issuce clearly, Which kind of app did you create? Which kind of language were you using?

  • Problem with NIReport.llb\Print HTML Report using IE.vi on different machines

    We have 5 machines here in our workgroup which have the same state regarding security patches and other system updates. We recently found out that there is a problem with the NIReport.llb\Print HTML Report using IE.vi on the different machines.
    If I would open the VI on MachineA the control could be loaded. If I would open the VI on MachineB the control could be loaded. If I would copy the VI from MachineB to MachineA and open the VI the control could not be loaded. If I would copy the VI from MachineA to MachineB and open the VI on MachineB the control could be loaded. MachineB could load the version from MachineA and MachineB but on MachineA only the own version will load. I have seen that both versions have the same GUID for the Microsoft Webbrowser but are different in some other aereas.
    Since printing HTML Reports is part of the application which will be distributed as application I want to know if someone else have seen such a behaviour or has got problems distributing an application.
    Also I want to know which additional information is stored in an Active-X container about the control beside the GUID.
    We have Win XP Prof SP2 with MS IE 6.0.2900.2180 on all machines in the workgroup.

    Hi Tom,
    this is the VI <vi.lib>\Utillitiy\NIReport.llb\Print HTML Report using IE.vi copied from a machine that can load and run the VI and it will print. On this machine the control in the VI is white.
    This VI will give the "Control could not be loaded" message on my machine.
    The file shdocvw.dll is 2006-10-23 16:18 size 1.460 KB and I verifyed that both machines have the same version of this file.

  • PrintDataGrid's DataGridColumn - Embedded image not printing when you use TextFlow in the item rende

    I'm printing a datagrid using something like  this...
    <mx:PrintDataGrid
      id="printDataGrid"
      width="100%"
      height="100%"
      showHeaders="false"
      borderVisible="false"
      horizontalGridLines="false"
      variableRowHeight="true"
      dataProvider="{titles}"
      >
      <mx:columns>
       <mx:DataGridColumn
        itemRenderer="renderer.TitlePrintRenderer"
        />
      </mx:columns>
    </mx:PrintDataGrid>
    TitlePrintRenderer.mxml has s:RichText component. I use  RichText's textFlow property to render the text. The approach is working fine  except that if the textFlow has embedded images (<img source=... />), the  images are not printed!
    Is this a bug? Is it a limitation? Has anyone come  across this issue?
    I'm using Flex SDK 4.5.1

    After struggling for 4+ days on using timer / events for printing PrintDataGrid with embedded images in RichText's textFlow, I tried your other suggestion... to convert <img> tags to InlineGraphicElement and give it Bitmap from image loaded from a .gif file. The approach works but the printout skips images in a few rows!
    I've this test case in which, every time I print, it skips printing image in the second row! I also implemented this approach in a more complex test case and depending on the total number of rows, it would skip printing image in different number of rows. I'm suspecting that even if you construct InlineGraphicElement from bitmap loaded from an image, PrintDataGrid's renderer still skips printing image intermittently.
    I would very much appreciate it if you could create small project from my following code and verify this behavior. I'm at my wit's end in getting this printing to work.

  • How to get the print logs to appear in the application logs folder of windows server 2008 r2

    Dear All,
    I am a SIEM professional at an IT firm. i am facing a problem. My SIEM solution has an agent for windows. this agent reads only logs from the application, security and system folder of windows event viewer. In server 2008 r2 the printer logs are clustered
    in and application and services/microsoft/windows/print services folder. The requirement of my management is that the siem solution should also be able to montior compliance of print policies. that can only be done once the the print logs are viewable in any
    of the three event vieweer folders i.e application, system.security. how can i configure windows to make its print logs visible in any of these three folders ?

  • Print PDF file using Acrobat SDK - Warning message

    Hello,
    We are trying to create automatic program in c# that will print all pdf files located in a specific folder, using Adobe Acrobat 9.0 SDK.
    Whenever the application tries to print file, we receive a warning message ("WARNING! A script has requested to print an Acrobat file. This could print an entire document. Do you want to proceed printing?").
    If we press yes, the file is printed, but next time we'll run the application, this message will appear again.
    Since this application supposed to run automatically (with no interaction with the end users), we want to prevent this warning message from appearing.
    How can we eliminate this warning message?
    Is there any other way to print PDF files using Adobe Acrobat from another application?
    Thanks,
    Lilach.

    joeln3:  I believe the original post refers to a client application, not a web page.  Why use JavaScript from within a client application?  I understood their use case to involve a client app referencing the PDF Library, loading various PDF files, and using one (or more) of the PDF Library's Print methods to invoke Acrobat's internal print routines.

I recently upgraded to Adobe Creative suite 3 (I know, i know, I am behind) and have had nothing but problems printing (even with native apps like preview). Before I upgraded I didn't have as many issues printing. Since the upgrage, When I attempt to print from Adobe Illustrator I get the error message "cant print the illustration". When I attempt to print from native MacOS Apps (like Preview) I get the error message " Error while Printing". Additionally, every time I attempt to use my scanner I get the error message "Scanner not found". Can anyone help me out there?

    It would have been helpful if you had included the manufacturer and model of your printer and scanner along with details on how they are connected to your Mac. Without that information there's little else for anyone else to work with along the lines of assisting you.
    How does your printer and scanner connect to your Mac - serial port or USB? If they use a serial port you're kind of out of luck as Mac OS X does not natively support serial ports. There may be some third-party software drivers available that could "turn on" serial ports within Mac OS X however.
    If your devices connect via USB, have you installed the Mac OS X version of their drivers? Older USB-equipped printers and scanners may not be supported by their manufacturers for use with Mac OS X. Again, if one looks hard enough, there may be some other third-party or open source drivers available that may let older USB equipment work with Mac OS X.

  • Printing PDF documents using FOP

    Hi,
    I seem to be getting the following error when printing to PDF using FOP:
    report error:
    ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1186
    ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure
    I've set up PDF printing by following the (FOP) instructions in the following link:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/configure_printing.html
    I've verified that my OC4J container and the jsp page apex_fop.jsp is running as it should as I can get PDF documents back if I call the jsp page outside of APEX (by sending in my own template and xml request parameters).
    I've also verified that I do hit the apex_fop.jsp page when trying to print from within the APEX application. The problem is that the two parameters template and xml are both null when trying to print PDF from APEX.
    It appears as though APEX is not sending in the template and xml request parameters.
    My test case is to create a simply report query in shared components, use a generic layout, select the pdf option and click on Test Report. The result is the error shown above.
    Any ideas? I know I'm close!
    btw, I'm using 10g and APEX 3.1
    Sanjeev

    thanks Dimitri ..
    I have progress... I went back and reconfig'd my oc4j, since Ihad donethat a long time ago.

    Not sure what to make of this, but it does give the xact same error each time.
    For what it's worth, I can successfully call a test page per Marc Sewtz's blog, so conceptually something is working, which is progress. I'll keep at it, but suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the direction.

  • Error: "File is Open and in Use by Another Application...."

    I'm trying to print to tape using the 'Print to Video' option in the 'File' menu. The media being printed is in HDV format. During the 'conforming HDV Video...' process that runs prior to recording to tape, I'm getting the error message mentioned in the subject line of this post. There are no other apps. open except for FCP, so it is FCP that is locking up its own files during this process. Anyone know how to get around this bug?

    open preferences, open spotlight preferences, click the privacy tab. Drag the folders or drives you want spotlight to leave alone into the window.
    Spotlight is an annoying application that is constantly cruising your system for no good reason that I can fathom, but it must have some use. When spotlight is looking at your media files, you are dead in the water for fcp.
    Same thing if you have anti virus software running.

  • ISight Camera in use by Another Application - Not Working

    Whenever I try to open photo booth on my macbook I get a message telling me that the camera is in use by another application.
    I have searched and cannot find any other applications.
    I uninstalled HP Printer (recently installed) but that never solved it.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers

    I was having the same problem I could not find the answer here in the apple forums so I did some googeling and found this forum on macosxhints.com here is a link to the whole discussion
    http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=57786
    There is a post in there that solved my problem it said to do a safe boot first log in and then restart into and boot normally. After I did this the problem went away, here is a link on how to do a safe boot.

  • Send Vector class to JSP and print this Vector using JSTL

    Hello All!
    I need your help to solve my question.
    I developed a Servlet + jsp application.
    I tested it in local with Apache Tomcat/6.0.20 and it works correctly.
    I write and use these classes:
    class for execute query, and including data page:
    package MySQL;
    * To change this template, choose Tools | Templates
    * and open the template in the editor.
    import java.util.*;
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;

    import java.sql.Statement;

        private Vector VectorPageObj = new Vector(); //save array object page, after execute query

    public MySQLQuery(Connection CurrentConnectBase)
        CurrentConnect = CurrentConnectBase;
    //method accept name table and return all info on this table
    public void SelectAllField(String NameTable)
           try
             Statement st = CurrentConnect.createStatement();
             String query = ("select * from "+NameTable);
             ResultSet resultQuery = null;
             resultQuery = st.executeQuery(query);
    //step in cycle after execution query, and create Vector object
               while (resultQuery.next())
                  GenPageMySQL PageObj = new GenPageMySQL();

    your right, I learn Java however this very Interesting!
    I change code, change Vector on List

                ListPageObj = MySQLQueryObj.getListPageObj();
      out.print("Size Page objects = "+ListPageObj.size());
                request.setAttribute("upMenu",ListPageObj);
                RequestDispatcher Dispatcher = getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/WEB-INF/jsp/index.jsp");
                Dispatcher.forward(request, response);string out.print("Size Page objects = "+ListPageObj.size()); == worked, I get count objects correct
