PrinterJob.setCopies() [How do I get value]

In my app, when a user prints, they are presented with a dialog that allows them to specify the number of copies to print.
The print dialog is invoked with the following code:
PrintService service =
ServiceUI.printDialog(

PrintServiceLookup.lookupDefaultPrintService(),

attributes);
I then set this service as the printService for the job:
printerJob.setPrintService(service);
printerJob.print();
The only issues is that when the user updates the number of copies they require for printing on the printDialog, this information is not applied when the print service is set on the job (so one copy is only ever printed).
I know I can use the printerJob.setCopies(int) method. But my issue is I cannot obtain that integer value to set on that method that should (I think) be available from the 'service' variable returned by the dialog.
Any thoughts??

I'm relatively new to struts but I think this can be done a little easier using the logic tags that accompany struts.

You could follow this with other equal tags, or if you just have one other option they use a <logic:notEqual....>
Another thing you might want to do is use the <html:option....> tag for your select.

You should give the user defined name in the ResultSet.getXXX method to retrieve the column value.
Example
SQL:
Select ename as employeename from emp;
You should say :
ResultSet.getString("employeename"); to get the value.
Alternatively you can retrieve it using column number:
ResultSet.getString(1);

I have a situation where I need to change query : This query is created on a Multiprovider gives Actuals sales for previous period and Forecast for future period. The query is designed at aggregatred sales dist by Material.
Now the Business requires this by Sales District. I did this by creating a Variable filter.
Now the issue is For Each material is 4 rows and one of the row is Standar price. This data is availabe for Actuals by sales district but of Forecast this is not avilabel by sales district.
I want this data in report - for If I execute report for aggregated of all sales district I can see this figure but If i filter by sales district I cannot see as the data is not availabe by Sales district. Now as Std cost is same of materisl for any sales district. Can some one help is how do I get this data populated in report even if I select by Sales district ?

How can I get values from a checkbox group?

I have been developing a web application with Creator EA 2 and am trying to finish all the functionality before switching to 2. The last thing I have to do is pick up the status of checkboxes that I put in the page with the checkbox group component. Getting stuff from other fields is easy in the code for the page with a statement like: this.fieldname.getText() or ...getValue(). When you enter a line like this, Creator is helpful and gives you the completion choices. I tried some for the checkbox group, but none seem to give me what I want. What I want is the status ( true or false, 0 or 1, ...) for each checkbox in the group. I would appreciate advice on a simple way to get this. Thanks.

You do not necessarily need to bind selected to an array. You might do that if you want to put the array in a session bean, but otherwise, the binding isn't necessary.
Earlier, I provided a link to the Delving into Components tutorials. Here is an excerpt:
"For the items property, you specify a display label and a return value. The selected value returns an array of objects of the same type as the return values. If you use a Default Options component to specify the items and return values, selected returns an array of String objects.
The values in the selected array match the return values of the selected checkboxes."
To illustrate, here is how to get the selected values without binding to an array. In this example, the id for the drop-down list is dropdown1.

I am trying to put together a powershell script that, for a given user, displays all of the user profile property information.
I have seen several blogs which show how to get the names of all the properties.
I thought that displaying the value of the property would be simple. So far, I am missing something.

ResultSet object has nothing to do with XML... so the only way to it
is just read each row/column in your resultset and then create
XML record based on structure of your resultset - annoying job...
Also you can try to use tool developed by Oracle which based
on SQL select statement parses resultset into XML...

How do I get values into a vi from a subvi while the subvi is still running within the vi?

This is my problem. I have a subvi that runs an experiment. At different point in the experiment different instruments are on or off and I have a boolean array display this info. It is updated at various points of the experiment via a local variable. That works fine. Here is the problem though. I run that subvi from a main vi program (that runs it several times for several experiment cycles). I would like to pass the status of that array onto the mainvi to display there too. The problem is that the array in the main vi is not updated until the subvi is done running and thus displays only the array status at end of experiment (instead of changing
as the status changes within the subvi). I tried using a global variable to write to it in the subvi every time there is an update, and read from it in the mainvi, but that doesn't work, it still displays just the status at the end of the subvi execution. Does anyone know how to make this work, or if there is a workaround this? Thanks.

If you have LabVIEW 6i, you can update indicators of a calling VI from
a SubVI, while the subVI is running.
In your case you need
1) an indicator on the main VI panel to display the boolean array
2) to pass a reference to that indicator to the subvi when you call it
3) to use this reference in the subVI, connect a property node to it and
write the values to be displayed to the 'value' property of this node
If you don't have version 6, you can write the values to be displayed to
a global and display this global in the main VI from within a while loop
which must run in the main VI in parallel to the running subVI.
It's more complicated, since you need a mechanism to gracefully shut
down the while loop after subVI finishes. You could do this with
another global control boolean which is not displayed but just connected
to the repeat terminal of the while loop. Don't forget to put a 'Wait' of,
say, 50...100 msec in that while loop.

If i want to assign the $TPEROOT to a string variable str in my java program , then how can i do it.

I'm trying to get Real IP Addresses (as the code was setup to do) from a browser running on the web server. I have read some of the threads in this forum and some mention to use NetworkInterface while others recommended using Sockets (not an option since we do not use them), and another to use a signature as a workaround. Anyone know the best direction to get the results expected?
