Printing a 8.5x5.5 invitation in photoshop

I am trying to print an image I created in photoshop.  I created an invitation and sized it to 5.5 x 8.5.  I have card stock that is exactly 5.5 x 8.5.  I can't seem to get the image to print even close to fitting on the cardstock.  I do realize that my canon printer doesn't have a paper size for 5.5 x 8.5.  Is this a printer problem or a photoshop problem?  any help?

Use the setting for 11X8.5 and use a full sheet of card stock. Unless your printer supports printing to the edge, you will have a border.
Create a new document for 11 x 8.5 and place your image on 1/2 of the sheet, duplicate it if you want two and print. (This will leave no border for 1 side of both images - if you want a border for that side then your original document will then need to be reduced from 8.5 to 8.25)
If you want a solid print edge document, you will then need to cut the border off it.

Why can't I print a FULL PAGE PHOTO IN PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS VERSION 10, (letter size 8.5 x 11?)  I have tried resizing, cropping and anything else I can possibly think of to no avail!!! VERSION 7 was so easy just print (fit to page)! I'am pulling my hair out trying to accomplish this! If anyone can tell me how to do it I would be eternally grateful! Thanks Julie
    P.S. I can't even print a 8 x 10 properly!

Sarah, my printer drivers are updated! This problem seems SO COMPLICATED when it should be so easy!  It's like the more advanced these programs get the less you can figure them out!!!!  I'am ready to offer a reward to fix this!!! The stress of trying to figure this out is making me crazy!

If the song are part of an album, the album should have a cloud icon for downloading it in full. If they are separate tracks (not in the same album) you will have to download individually.

Yes, the printer is on, it’s selected in Printer Set-Up & I’ve never had this problem before. It’s definitely a Photoshop issue as every other type of file prints fine. I’ve uninstalled Pshop & am now reinstalling. Hope that will do the trick.

  • How can I obtain a version of Print Studio Pro that works with Photoshop Elements 13 (64 bit)?

How can I obtain a version of Print Studio Pro that works with Photoshop Elements 13 (64 bit)?  The advertising refers to Print Studio Pro 2 but all I find available to download is version 1.35.

Thanks - I did notice that the 2 was a superscript on one site but on another (I think the one for the Pro-10 printer) it was definitely a 2 in line with the rest of the text and separated by a space (at least on my browser).  At any rate, I suspected something of the kind and will simply use Photoshop Elements 11 when I want a pattern print until the change is made.
If you have an inside line to Canon you might also suggest some changes to their Image Garden program, specifically its handling of DVD label projects.  It has several themes and within each theme several layouts.  As far as they go these are fine but they do not give nearly enough flexibility.   The boxes for insertion of images are useful as is the simple procedure for rescaling the image so it is cropped in varying ways while staying within the fixed box.  However, it should be possible (a) to relocate the boxes on the page and (b) to resize and reshape the boxes - probably by a control which would become available by right-clicking on the box.  For example, there are times when the user might want to include a full 16 x 9 frame shot as one of the images, and in general the aspect ratios of the provided boxes do not permit this.
I have over the years preferred to use Word for this purpose after setting up masks to expose just the printable area of the DVD or Blu-ray disc, setting up the margins so that the center of the disc is in the horizontal center of the page, and finally introducing text and pictures and adjusting the font size of blank lines above the disc to line everything up properly in the vertical direction.  A typical layout might involve one large picture, located so the center hole and the curved outer edge do not block anything important, or two pictures side by side, or four pictures centered vertically (to minimize the effect of the outer edge of the disc) but possibly of different widths (so as to make both close-ups and wide scenes optimal on the same disc label).  The text then goes above and below the pictures.  All of this works perfectly so I probably wouldn't use Image Garden very often for this purpose, but the inability to resize and relocate the boxes must be very limiting for others as well.
Some of the layouts have image locations severely reduced by the edge of the disc.
As I said ... if you have an inside line to Canon .. but if not, please excuse the length of this post!

  • Canon Pixma Pro 9000 printer will not print for Lightroom 2.3 or Photoshop CS4

When I hit the print button on either Lightroom or Photoshop CS4 to print using the "front tray", the printer sends a message to lower the tray for the back tray.  The Canon tech rep stated that when I  hit the Print button on Lightroom or Photoshop there should be "drop down window" which allows me to choose the "front tray".  Until I do this, the printer assumes that I am still using the back tray.  My question - why doesn't my Lightroom or Photoshop programs display this "drop down window" when I press the "print" button??  Please!! Can anyone help me??

After so many attempts, I don't remember what the display was when I first requested for help.  I just trying everything that I
    could think of.
I don't think that I downloaded the right Driver the first time.  As a last resort, I downloaded the Driver again from Canon and to my surprise, another menu appeared.  It was different from the previous ones and rather confusing.  The Canon tech had described what I should bd looking for and so I proceeded ahead one drop menu after another and finally the right menu appeared giving me the choice between the automatic back tray and the front tray.  After I clicked on the front tray, everything worked fine.
Thanks, Was DYP, for taking time to attempt to help me.  It's my opinion that Canon's documentation was not complete and therefore created some confusion.

  • Print DVD on Pro 100 from Photoshop

I can't figure out how to print directly to a DVD from Photoshop.
I can print with no problem from the Easy Photoprint app, I send the job and after a while the yellow light starts blinking like it needs paper.  So I insert the disk tray and press the feed button and it prints no problem.
However, when I print from Photoshop, I select "Disk tray K" as the paper size, send the job, and the light starts blinking, just like before.  But when I press the feed button, it stops for a couple seconds and then starts blinking again.
I'm having to save the file as a .jpg and bring it into Easy Photoprint, which is a real pain.  Is there some trick to getting DVDs printed directly in Photoshop?

There will be no message to load the disk tray from PS. That is why I suggested he stay with the free included software.
I suspect that warning is to not try and load the disk tray while the printer is readying itself for printing.
    As this is the first statement in the manual;
    Placing a Printable Disc
To print onto a printable disc, place it on the disc tray supplied with the printer, then insert it into the printer.
My quote was, "Not after you send the job from PS." I have not tried to print a DVD from PS but I have done many from Easy Photo Print EX. It may not even be possible.
However, you cited a good point, better to be cautious.

  • How to print with NO COLOR MANAGEMENT in Photoshop CS6

    Hi,
I have been trying to print a target from i1Profiler so I can read it with my i1Pro and create a printer profile, but no matter what I do, there is no way to get photoshop from supplying a profile while printing. I tried to select Printer handles color and then put the printer driver in COLOR MANAGEMENT OFF (seemed to me this would disable both the printer managing color and photosbop managing color). Tried printing this way ( and many other ways) but NO SOLUTION --- the prints are EXTREMELY different from the on-screen view (which is in a properly profiled Apple monitor) and they actually look like the ones with a profile chosen.
I also tried the utility Adobe Color Printer Utility and same results!!
I am using an EPSON Stylus Pro 7900 that I just purchased.
    Please help

The key here is to actually actually go ahead and print the target from i1Profiler to your printer...in the Test Chart panel, create the test chart and click on Print instead of Save As. As long as you have the correct page size set in the Page Setup, you should get an accurate printer target to read. Depending on how many patches you have set, it may take a few pages but they will be properly formated for reading with the i1Pro...

  • Printing Problem with Pro-100 and Photoshop

This is my setup: using Mac Pro running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) & editing & printing from Photoshop CS 6. I have new Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer and set it up OK. First thing printed was a page from a document from MS Word on 8.5X11 plain paper - this came out OK. Next I fire up Photoshop and open a 4X6 inch image (just a snapshot in jpeg, landscape format) to do a test print.  I set it up in the print dialog as 4X6 paper, Canon's Pro Glossy paper profile, rear tray, standard print quality, Photoshop manages the color.  I load the paper in the rear tray close the covers and hit print.
Now, when it starts to print the printer moves about 3.8 inches of paper out of the printer and it starts printing on the remaining 2.2 inches then spits the paper out.  It does this in Photoshop (any image, it doesn't matter), and it does it printing from Nikon’s Capture NX.  I have been able to get it to print on the paper correctly using Apple's Preview program but that that's not going to do me any good. I was on the phone with Canon tech support for about 2 hours and they were completely puzzled suggesting I would have to use Canon's printing apps instead to print - that doesn't do me any good either. I want to be able to print from Photoshop. I have the most recent Canon driver, and Photoshop is up to date. Any one every heard of this or experienced the same problem?  I don’t think I’ve overlooked anything. Thanks JMDavis!

    Hi JMDavis,
Have you tried printing using the Print Studio Pro plugin for Photoshop?  If this is not install, it is available for download from Canon's web site.  To download and install Print Studio Pro, please follow these steps:
     1.  Visit Canon's website at:    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer
     2.  Type PIXMA PRO-100 in the "Enter Your Model Name" box and click GO.
     3.  On the Support page for your unit, click the 'Drivers & Software' link in the middle of the page.
     4.  Click Software.
     5.  Click on Print Studio Pro.
     6.  If you agree, please select the checkbox next to "I have read and agree to the terms of the Disclaimer and wish to continue with the download".
     7.  Click on the Download button.
     8.  The file will be downloaded to your Downloads folder.
     9.  Once the download is complete, close all windows.
    10.  Double click [mpsp-mac-1_3_5-ea9_2.dmg] in your Downloads folder.  Files will extract.
Follow the prompts and installation will complete.
Once installed, please open your image in Photoshop and print it using the Print Studio Pro plugin.

  • Poor print quality LR 5 and in Photoshop CC

Hello, I need some help with a print question.  I am using LR 5 and just installed Photoshop CC.  I have uploaded pics from my Nikon camera into LR 5 as raw files.  I edit them in LR and Photoshop as needed and now I want to print a 4x6 copy.  The colors look good on my MAC but when I print them on my Canon photo printer MG6320 the colors aren't vibrant.  The reds looked washed out, the brown hair color looks washed out, just bad color quality.
I have watched tons of Lynda.com videos to learn these software programs so I am not uneducated but there is lots to learn and I have a long road to go yet.
I have the following for settings in LR:
Page Setup on Print Module has the following settings: Page = Attributes, Format for: Canon MG6300, Page Size: 4 x 6 borderless.
Print Settings: Printer: Canon MG6300 series, Presets: Color-1 which is Media &  Quality, Media type: Photo, Best Quality.
Print Job tab setting in LR: Layout Style: single image, Image Settings: Rotate to Fit, (skip Layout, Guides, and Page tabs) Print Job: Print to Printer, checked Print Sharpening - HIGH, Media Type: Glossy, Color Management profile: tried these profiles - Adobe RGB 1998 to sRGFICC61966-2.1, Intent: Perceptual or Relative (not sure on this). Print Adjustment not checked.
Also, the Preview window in the upper left corner of LR is blank.
I hope I have given enough info so you understand what my settings are.  Any help is appreciated.
    LuAnn

The saturation on your monitor is probably set too high. At the very least, adjust the saturation using the monitor controls until it matches the print. Then you will have to modify your image accordingly. The best thing to do would be to calibrate your monitor using a hardware device.

  • Can I print a photobook made with Adobe photoshop 7 with Shutterfly?

I earned a free 8 by 8 photobook with shutterfly. I tried making one on their website but I could not find any that I liked. I would like to professionally print my photobook I already made with adobe photoshop 7. I need step by step intructions how to put my photobook made with adobe onto shutterfly. I would also like to know some websites that will print pre-made adobe photoshop books for cheap in case shutterfly does not work. Thank you. It is a Valentines gift for my boyfriend, so please get back to me asap

I believe Shutterfly provide only standard prints e.g. 6 x 4 inches or enlargements from the PSE interface.
You could save your book as a PDF file and then upload to an alternative on-line print service that can print the pages such as Blurb.

  • Adobe Photoshop (CS6) on Mac.  Cannot print to Epson WF-3520. Photoshop quits when you hit okay to print.  Latest software has been downloaded.  Running OS X Yosemite (v 10.10.1) on iMac.

Basically - what I have written in the title - has anyone else come across this problem with the Epson/Photoshop.  Contacted Epson a while ago but they said to contact Adobe.  Any ideas or know of a plug-in that is required to solve the problem - sincerely appreciated.  Many thanks,

Here are a few things to look at. Try each step until your Epson printer works
Be sure you are updated to 13.0.6  Help > Updates
Another is to uninstall/reinstall the drivers from an administrator account to be sure proper permissions are set.
Reset prefs: Quit Photoshop, Hold down cmd-opt-shift, and start Photoshop. You will see a "delete settings" dialog. Agree and see if that fixes it.
Others have had success by selecting another printer and then going back to the Epson.

the 2 64 bit macs will not print in landscape only from photoshop cs4
i can print from indesign in landscape and illustrator in landscape.
somewhere i read that i could remove the preferences file and that would maybe fix it.
    that did nothing.
i have tried a variety of different files and sizes.
my design artists are specialized in photoshop and it was working up to about 2 weeks ago.
nothing has changed in this time.
so i am wondering what could cause this.
    please help.

What is a 64 bit Mac? It might be easier to describe the kitty version of these Macs and if all have been fully patched in system software and in programs.
