Printing a chart

is there a way to automaticaly print the chart that is generated when i run my VI. basically i am measuring a voltage for about 1 min and diplaying it on a chart. i want it to automatically either save the data to an excel sheet and/or print the chart on the printer attcahed to the computer.
i know i can right click and go to export and take it to the clipboard or save the image but this is a pest as i have to then open it in another file. im producing loads of these graphs and this is time consuming.
I also tried to export it to exel and it was rubish as it only eported the whole number and i need the 4 decimal places it measured at. maybe i was doing this wrong so please point it out.

Sure,
you can print the frontpanel programmatically
You need the VI Reference and an "Invoke Node"
Select Print panel (or similar, I have a german LV)
This prints the Panel to the default printer.
OR
You create a reference of your chart,
take a "property node", select value,
connect the value output to the 1D input of the "Write to spreadsheet file.vi"

link all the section to hide when show details = False ( apart form the chart)
then the user can do what he wants with the parameter.

When I try to print a chart from Excel 2007 I get a low memory error. All other printing seems to work just fine. I thought it might be because of a color fill in the chart area so I removed the fill but I'm still getting the error.

When an application is installed to the expansion card, that's the only place where you will see it in the app launcher screen, i.e. by selecting the card. It will not appear in the All category because that only shows apps which are installed to internal memory.
As for the Files application, yes, it only lets you browse contents of the card. For a more robust file management utility which will let you browse your entire phone, you might want to look into a freeware application called FileZ, which I believe is available at www.palmgear.com and other places.
I've never run Documents To Go from a card, but when you open Docs to Go and open the Menu > Options > Manage Applications, there is an option there to move applications to the Card. Never having done that, I'm not sure whether it moves the whole DTG app to a card but, give it a try.
I have oodles of applications and documents stored on my Centro's internal memory, and never have run up against a memory problem. At any time, you can check available memory by going to the application launcher (home) screen, opening the menu, and selecting Info.

Printing a chart in many pages

Hello everyone!! I was hoping someone could help me... here's
the thing I'm trying to do:
I have a column chart that its horizontal axis has a maximum
of 42000 values. The problem is that if the user prints this chart
it will show many values together and he couldn't see it well. So,
I have implemented a HTTPService that populates the chart based in
two parameters and I want to separate that chart in many charts
with an interval of values. For example, first page: values from 0
to 200, second page: values from 200 to 400 and so on...
For doing this I tried to call the HTTPService everytime I
wanted a new interval of values, implementing its result event...
but doesn't work!!! I'm not able to add to the PrintJob the chart
that I re-populated with the new service.send() method, instead it
prints the first chart o the last one many times!!! could someone
help me please? here's my code:

I tried everything, I wrote the PrintJob.addObject in the
result event method but it shows an error. Also, I tried to save
every new chart in an object array but it saves a referenfe to that
chart, and I want to clone it, so I can print every position of the
array (every chart).
I don't know if I explained the problem right, hope you
understand what I'm trying to say :) Can anyone help me please???

I am trying to print a chart as a PDF that is in color and the color is not printing

The chart I am trying to print has colored boxes and when I print the chart the boxes are white

Have you checked the ink cartridges and made sure the nozzles are clear? Are you able to print from outside of iPhoto with the correct color?
Try the following: make temporary copy of the library and do the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Did you ever find a reason as to why the bars were not printing? I'm experiencing the same problem with Apex 4.1.1. Only the first part prints. Here is the print tag:

Printing of charts generated by anychart and using Chrome

I have decided to use Anychart to print the charts in my report. The problem is that in google chrome when I go to print the report, only the text shows up in the print preview. As a result I cannot print the charts (generated by anychart)...only the text print.

When you right click on the text or anywhere except the image, you get the Print option. Click on this to launch the chrome print utility. You will see the text showing up and no images on the preview section.

Yes these parameters that you can input in RSA3 will be provided by BW call
Take attention to the selection fields, transfered in first call and not in following call. so move those to STATICS field at first call, and don't touch them after. Use these to build the CURSOR FOR SELECT statement. (moving to field ranges or building a WHERE clause)

Printing Color Chart (LR3.2) causes some patch color problems !

Hi to all,
Printing Color Chart with Lightroom 3.2 causes problems with some Patches Color !
Color is not uniform, highlighted in the surround for some blue and green patches.
Printing the same chart in Photoshop CS5 causes no problem at all !
Configuration:
New installation (15 days).
Windows 7 Pro (French language), 64 bit.
i7-760 on P7h55 with 6Gb of RAM.
Lightroom 3.2 (French language).
Photoshop CS5 (English language), tested with and without new update.
Canon Selphy CP800 with latest driver.
Any idea ?!

Print-time charting with shared variables on a report without groups...

hello all,
I have an interesting conundrum; I am working on a report (Crystal XI) with no groups to it, just several subreports. Presently the report is run weekly and sent to the manager of one of our departments.
The report itself showcases all areas of the department with total tasks, longest outstanding task, average days outstanding, MTD tasks completed, and YTD tasks completed. Due to the variety of tables the data pulls from, I have it set up as subreports that simply display the data.
All total, there are 20 different shared variables that have been obtained from 10 different subreports. I have the shared variables set as the running totals from the subreports (hence, all are print time). Since the running totals and all the subreports are time based and are not actually linked to ANYTHING on the main report, I am struggling with how to set up the formulas described in the white paper, "Charting on Print Time Formulas".
The setting up of the two formulas ({@onchngof} and {@showval}) will be different for my situation, as all of the subreports run off of date information relative to when the report is ran. I've got all of the subreports that the shared variables originate in early in the report; but where to from here?
Would I set up maybe a date grouping or some other non-essential consistent grouping to make it work? The way this report is, it really doesn't need grouping, because the main report is just a display agent for the subreports...
As always, any help is greatly appreciated!

Let me ask couple of questions before trying to resolve this.
1. The chart you are trying to built is placed in which section and is it on Main report or sub-report of its own. This is needed because if you are trying to access shared variables values in Main report, the section should be below the sub-report placed sections.
2. Try pacing few test formulas in Main report and make sure the correct values are being pulled in on Main report.
If you are successfully pulling the variable values on the report, try creating a simple chart in report footer with the values you have pulled and see if its taking you somewhere...
Would need more information on how those variables are being accessed form sub to main or sub to other sub for example are you making an array of those variables and splitting or bringing it in as separate...

Acrobat X Pro does not print Excel charts from 2010 Word doc to PDF correctly

Hi,
I am trying to create a PDF from Word 2010 using Adobe Acrobat X and preserve hyperlinks but when I go through the PDF maker toolbar, the Excel charts in the Word file do not print correctly. They come up as large white boxes with a small grey arrow icon in the lower-right corner (looks like a "play" button). Does anyone know why this is and if there's a solution to this problem? Is there an update or a fix? I have a lot of Excel charts in the Word file...

i am having exactly the same issue with Acrobat X Pro - with linked Excel 2010 tables in Word 2010.
Has there been a resolution to this eissue - it is potentially very time consuming to work around this issue for me.

i think its simple what you ask..simply go to Print setup Setting and turnoff the legend and adjust the setting to your way ... before printing see Print Preview.

Print Gantt chart without wasting paper

I have few tasks but a long date range to plot- a short and wide gantt chart. Is there a way to wrap the gantt chart onto one page or set printing options so that it only plots say the top 4 inches of each page?

If all you want to show is the long tasks I think you best bet is to set the timescale to months, or years as appropriate so you will be able to see the start and finish together in the view. There is little benefit to having a fine timescale (e.g. days)
if all it will show is a looooooong Gantt bar.
And no, you can't "wrap" the Gantt Chart. You can however control the tasks that are printed by employing a filter. Set up a filter for just those long tasks you wan to show and then print with the filter applied.

Trying to get complex layouts fitting well on a printed page can be a bit of a Dark Art....people have gone insane trying to achieve it ;)

Printing Gantt Charts

Good morning,
I have produced a complex project plan for my MD using the Tasks/Gantt Chart feature.
Whilst the MD has been provided with the URL to the Gantt chart, his preference is to have a printed copy.
However, after viewing the ribbon and browsing relative threads on this site, there does not appear to be a basic print function for 2010 Gantt charts?
Is this correct? If so, is there anything I can do (code etc.) to provide a print feature?
If coding is the only option, perhaps someone would be kind enough to share the specific code.

Hi David,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to print the Gantt Charts of task list in the SharePoint 2010.
For a workaround, you can use a screen capture program (such as TechSmiths SnagIt) to take screen shots of the window in different places and then stitch them together to print out.

Printing Flex Chart Application with FireFox 2 and later

Hi, I have problem with printing functionality in FireFox. The print preview shows an empty page. So the user ends with this step and thinks no print is available. Another problem is when I try to print directly not the whole application will be printed.
Is there an easy way to get FireFox to print correctly.

On MacOsx (firefox 3.0.5) the width is correct (674).
Probably your javascript embed has been messed up for some
reason.
It should be something like:
