Printing multiple queries data

I am calling a report A from report B. Report A has multiple queries that are not linked. When I run report A directly it prints the data from both the queries just fine. However, when I call it from report B, it is only printing data for the 2nd query. Any ideas why this is happening?

Problem in Printing Multiple Invoice data

Hi,
My re quirement goes like this...
My SMARTFORM receives 2 internal tables :
1. Header data for all Invoices
2.Item data for all invoices.
Now I need to print each invoice in a new Page.
I have done like this.
First I am reading the header table with Index. After that I am incrementing the Index number.
v_index = v_index + 1.
READ TABLE HEADER index v_index.
So, first time the fist invoice will be processed and Its item data will be printed in the main window.
In the MAIN WINDOW after Item Table, i kept one COMMAND as Go TO NEW PAGE.
So, that its starts processing the page again. and Next invoice will be read.
Its working fine and Printing all the header data and footer data respective to that Invoice.
But, its not displaying that data which is there in MAIN window. Its displaying MAIN window as EMPTY.
I have seen in the debugging, when the NEW PAGE command is triggered, its processing all the secondory windows and PROGRAM LINES under that. But, it is not going into MAIN window Program Lines.
Please let me know, how can I solve My problem.

HI,
You can give a page break after every new header invoice. using a command window just assign the first value of the table to a local variable when it is passing into the loop and whenever the value changes, GOTO newpage.

How do I display data from Multiple Queries in a spreadsheet?

I am running Oracle forms 10g as a kicker to export a report (rdf 10.1.2.0.2) to PDF or Excel Spreadsheet - User's choice.
Doesn't matter if I have desformat = SPREADSHEET, DELIMITEDDATA, or DELIMITED; I still get only the first query displayed when I run in spreadsheet format.
How do I display data from Multiple Queries in a spreadsheet? Is this possible?

did you search the forum? You will find a lot of threads handling the problem of Excel file access.
In short: you need to use ActiveX (the RGT also uses ActiveX under the hood)!

How to print hard-coded data in multiple language in sap-script, here the requirement is when printing the output
we can see the window heading, description which are mostly hard-coded here I want to print these in both language as fallows,
Goods to be delivered: = Morada de Entrega:
Total net value excl. tax = Valor Total (IVA não Incluído)
Description = Descrição
Item = linha
here I want to print in both languages like---- Goods to be delivered:/ Morada de Entrega:
and the above headings in English are hard-coded.
Kindly suggest me on this.

Scroll Bar Problem after Printing a web page containing multiple page data

Hi All,
I have a web application which has two DIV, one is main and one is child. I am having problem in printing multiple pages. There is a lot of data in the child DIV and i am using JavaScript functions to control the print functionality. When i print using window.print(), only the data on the main page currently being showed is printed. I further researched and checked out the Style.Overflow property.
Now i am using divMain.style.overflow = "visible"
After this the complete print comes. But in Firefox, the scroll bar disappears and only single page is left with no scroll bar .
Now if after print i give divMain.style.overflow = "Auto" OR divMain.style.overflow = "Scroll", still the scroll bar doesn't come and if it comes then its inactive. I am unable to see the complete data on the page after the print is taken.
The problem is not coming in I.E and the full data with scroll bar is recovered in I.E.
Please help me how to get the normal page with full data and scroll bar after printing in Firefox.

hi, i would update my reader first to the newest version.
does the size of the textfield never change, independant how much text is in it?
perhaps check your subforms, if they are type "position" size does not change in my opinion, except your parent subforms expand to fit....
or use "flowed" subforms...and regard the parent subforms too!

Cross tab data is getting multiplied if i use multiple queris in asingle report

i am using multiple queris for displaying data and graphs(charts).
my requirement is to display 2 charts and data in crosstab in a single report.
all the three thing (2charts and crosstab) will use diffrent values.
I am writing 3 sql queries for getting appropriate values for charts and crosstab.
Now the problem, both charts and crosstab are taking the values of all 3 queris
i.e if i added crosstab first to the report values are coming correctly. After that if i add graph cross tab values are getting changed and graph values are not getting properly.
if i add graph first then its coming correctly.
if i tried to add all 3 components then values are going cores...... ?

When you say you are writing 3 sql queries what do you mean? Are you creating 3 SQL command objects in the database expert? If so this is your problem, Crystal will pull a cartesian product through (this is every possible combinatin of rows from the 3 queries).
If your 2 graphs and 1 crosstab are based on different datasets the way to approach this is to create each on a seperate report, then create a new blank report and add each of your 3 reports as subreports in the report footer.

Printing multiple copies of PDF causes huge amounts of data to be sent to printer...

Whenever I need to print multiple copies of a PDF file Acrobat sends the complete file for each and every copy. This really chokes the RIP or laserprinter and takes many times longer to print than needed.
It seems it is something to do with the CS3 software for Intel Macs and the issue has been around for a long time... My only solution at this stage is to print PDFs from the Preview app (built into OSX).

Is a proper fix ever going to appear for this issue?? Apparently it has been resolved in InDesign - why not in Acrobat?

Printing on Web - web template with multiple queries

Hi.
Trying to print to PDF from the Web, when I have more than 1 query in the web template, using Tabs.
When the report has been run, if I select the tab for report A and then Print, I need report A to be printed. Similarly, if I have selected the tab for report B I expect report B to be printed.
Is this possible without resorting to HTML coding direct? If so, can you tell me how, please? I have no problem printing single queries, the issue is how to print different reports without having several Print buttons. If it CAN only be done by HTML coding, could you send me some sample code please?
As well as offering points for useful answers, I can also offer my Word document where I have broken 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN in to its components, with screenshots... I have found it invaluable.

The answer was to use the Tabstrip web item... although I still have to define a set of buttons for each tab, only one set is visible at a time, which is fine

Print multiple pages with dynamic data from same movieclip

Hi @ all,
like much of us i have a problem with printjob.
I have a printjob routine, that starts a new job, then
handles the following in a loop for printing multiple pages:
1. update content for every page in a sprite. every loop it's
the same sprite. the sprite is visible on stage
2. addPage to Printjob
after that sends the printjob to the printer
Now the Problem:
On Windows it runs perfectly. On Mac only the last page was
printed. the other pages before are empty (white).
Has anyone a idea?

Her's my code. As you can see i try to print a table on
multiple pages. In every loop i only show the rows for the actually
printing page:

the printview function only updates the content in the sprite
that will be printet on every page.
it generates the rows of a table that will be printed on the
actual page and return if all rows are printed (true or false)
this is a very slim function. there is no time overflow or
sth. like this.

Print multiple sections in report

How do I print multiple sections in a report?
For example, if I have 5 select statements in my data section and want to print them seperately, one after the other, how would I do that?
I do not want to merge the data together. I want it to be like 5 reports concatenated together.
Query1 Title

... etc ...

What you need to do is create a new main frame for each query. The easy way that use to do this is create the section of the report and let the wizard create the frames for me. Then I move them around to make the section look the way I want it to. Then I open a new report. This one I'll build it using the second query. Then again use the wizard to setup the frames. Then you'll select the main frame from the second report using the frame selet button copy it and paste the layout into the first report. You will want to paste it under the first section. A little trick here is to first draw a small line right above where you want the second section. The paste the second section. This will make sure the the second section is close to where you want it. If you do not do this Reports will put it on top of the first section a lot of times. You'll have to recreate the data model again, but that is easier then setting up all the framing on a complex layout. Then repete the second report step until you have done all the queries or sections you want.

Insert multiple queries using either WORKBOOK, WAD or Report Designer

I have a task where I have to insert multiple queries into one single page/sheet & print it out later. For this I can use any one of the tools available: Workbook, WAD or Report Designer.
1. Workbook - Here I have read that we can use a call back MACRO and some other features.
2. WAD - Here I have read that we can use: 1. Multiple data providers (one for each query) & 2. Multiple web analysis items linking to each individual data provider.
3. Report Designer - Since this is the actual 'formatting' tool provided by SAP, I am assuming that this is the right environment to achieve my task.
My question: Which one out of the above 3 tools is actually feasible? Can someone explain me in detail about how to go about this task. Any 'How to..' docs from SAP would also be most helpful.

I have done similar requirement in Workbook,it has better features and more user friendly than others......it depends on the individual...but U cna meet your requirement thru Workbooks...
If the Req are complicated then we go for MAcros ,where in we can satify the critical req,say some sort of Dynamic reqs.
There are lot of threads on Multiple queries in one Workbook....Just search in SDN and u will get lot of Threads on this topic.
Come bak if u have any other doubts.

I'm trying to find out how to create a complex report in APEX for printing. The report contains multiple queries in different layout, images and static text.
I don't have the possibility to use BI Publisher and I'm not an XSL-FO expert. However I'm trying to find out if it's possible at all not using BI Publisher.
I'm having the impression that multiple report queries and layouts in APEX can only be used in combination with BI Publisher. I'd be glad if someone could give me an example of how to do multiple queries and layout in a single report only using XSL-FO.

Print multiple forms between FP_JOB_OPEN and FP_JOB_CLOSE

I am aware, that there are questions regarding "Printing Multiple forms", but I didn't find answers there.
Still my system is not working as expected:
1. FP_JOB_OPEN is called
2. the generated Adobe Forms function is called multiple times
3. FP_JOB_CLOSE is called
This program doesn't deliver all the pages, but just the first call. How shall I solve this problem?

In order to call the form multiple times please do the following,
1) Just before your FP_JOB_OPEN you need to pass the output parameters (good practice). You can also set other parameters as well (for example nodialog, preview, copies., etc)

Now call your FM FP_JOB_OPEN with the above output parameters.

How to print multiple pages of same form with one print command

Hi,
I have created a cheque print form in smartform. There is provision to print multiple cheques. I give multiple cheque numbers from my selection screen and for each cheque the smart form is called in loop. Currently I get preview of 1st cheque then I print 1st cheque then click on back, cancel or exit button and then I get preview of second cheque ans so on...
Now I want to print all the cheques with one print command.
Please advice.

Instead of looping at the smartform multiple times, pass an internal table with the data content to the smartform and use loop/ Table youroption in ur smartform in the main window.in this way u can achieve printing multiple cheques at once and avoid previewing the document several times.
