Printing web site PDF document

For some reason, I can't print a pdf document/file from a web site, i.e., bank and or credit card provider. When trying to open the document to print in Adobe reader and when clicking on "open" a new window opens up under Microsoft Picture Manager!!  As if it was a picture....  I've tried all kind of help advise from HP to no avail.
This question was solved.

  • Why does my G-4 Mac running Tiger not show web site PDF documents?

When on a web site wishing to link to a given PDF type document offered by that site (ex: a related Sales Sheet), when clicked on a new window opens but it is blank of any data--nor was the PDF otherwise auto-downloaded so as to appear generally on my computer's Desktop. I therefore am experiencing no access to any available PDF offered documents or info otherwise available and, unfortunately, am not savvy enough to rectify the matter myself.

Thank you Kappy and AnaMusic.  I went through all the links you supplied, but nothing seems out of the ordinary except that my boot HD keeps filling up by itself.
When I took out the 100+ gb (from my 1 tb boot HD), I watched the Get Info page and as I worked the available space went linearly down from 100+gb to 10.34 gb (right now) in a matter of about 50 minutes, when I quit.  I was using mostly Adobe Indesign, but Mail and Safari and maybe Excel were also open.
Something is really wrong.  Anymore "use" and it will be full and then I won't have any use of it.
Yesterday when this problem started, available space went down to less than 100 MB and warnings began to show up.
See 3rd image below where the home folder "Norm" is now at 894 GB, but the total of all other folders only adds to about 87 GB.
What could cause that to happen?
    Thanks

  • When printing web based .pdf or regular .pdf I get message "This document failed to print"

When printing web based .pdf or regular .pdf I get message "This document failed to print".  I've ran the HP Diagonistic tool and no errors are found.  I've gotten the same message on many different .pdf's so I don't believe it is a margin issue.

Are the static IP addresses inside the DHCP range?  If so, move them to ones outside the range.
Also, have you set the IP address in the printers' embedded web pages (via IP address in a browser) to match the ones set in the router?
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

    Hello,
I'm planning to post on my web site my manuscript in PDF format. I would like to make it available in a reading mode only.. I wonder if ADOBE LIVECYCLE Rights Management would allow me to do so in a safe manner. What would be the cost?
    Thanks.

  • How do I open a web based PDF document on my iPad?

I am unable to open web based PDF documents as I fear Apple does not trust PDF documents on the Web.

    Hi Rick,
Did you try attaching screenshots to your reply to the email from this forum?  Because the Adobe forums do not accept any type of attachments for security reasons, your photo attachments did not get through.  Sorry about that.
But I think I know what you saw when you tried to open one of the PDF Application Forms on the Alberta (Canadian) government web site.
Did you see a message like this in Safari on your iPad?
Please wait... If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting  http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download.
If so, the PDF form is a special type of form called a "dynamic XFA form".  The message is displayed when a dynamic content is not supported by a PDF viewer.
As far as I know, there are no iOS apps that support dynamic XFA forms. The mobile version of Adobe Reader does not support dynamic XFA forms.  Neither does Safari or iBooks on iOS.  It's the limitation of mobile PDF viewer apps.
    To recap
Dynamic or static XFA forms - Use the desktop version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat on a Mac or Windows computer.
Most PDF documents and non-XFA forms - Use the mobile or desktop version of Adobe Reader.
Please note that Apple iOS apps (such as Mail, Safari, and iBooks) do not display filled form data or annotations (sticky notes, highlight, etc.) at all.  If a PDF document/form is first opened in Mail, Safari, or iBooks, you need to use the iOS "Open In" feature to open it in Adobe Reader for iOS.
How to open PDF documents in Adobe Reader for iOS (iPad on iOS 7 or 8 version)
(This is the same FAQ document that I mentioned in my reply #2 above.)
In this particular case, using the "Open In" feature to transfer the PDF Application Form from Safari to Adobe Reader for iOS does not help.  Because Adobe Reader for iOS cannot display the dynamically generated content of the XFA form from the Alberta government web site.
But you should be able to open other "regular" PDF documents (just like the one that I provided as a sample link) in Adobe Reader for iOS.
Hope this helps.  Please let us know if you have additional questions.

  • How do I do 2 sided printing of a PDF document?

How do I do 2 sided printing with a PDF document?
I am using a HP Photosmart 6520 printer.

If you go into "properties" of the print dialog, do you not see the option to print both sides? If not, have to checked to be sure you have the latest print driver from HP? If you installed the one that came with the printer (probably on a disk with the printer), it's probably not the most recent driver.

  • 1. HP DeskJet 2545 printer. Trouble in setting Default Printer. Not printing MS Excel, PDF docu.

    1. Have HP DJ 2545 all-in-one printer. It prints many documents except the following:
    a) Many PDF documents  b) Microsoft Excel documents.
    2. Can not set it up as Default Printer though I have reloaded latest software drivers from HP site, checked with latest HP Scan Doctor etc. Test page is printed fine. Thereafter no printing can be done for PDF, MS Excel documents as default printer is shown as "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer", and HP DJ 2545 is NOT shown at all in list of printers available.

I understand you are experiencing printer issues.  I would love to try and help you, but I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. With this information we can provide you with accurate information.

  • Extracting a web-based pdf document

    Hi,
I am reading a webpage presenting a pdf document.
I would like to extract this document so that it becomes a full pdf format document (that I could save on my computer)
    How can I do that?
    Regards,
    Sam

    Hello Sam,
Thank you for posting. (J'ai vu que vous aviez déposé cette question ailleurs en français, mais je n'ai pas voulu me gêner en répondant à celui-là.)
Unfortunately, it is not possible to extract a PDF document that has been embedded in a web page unless the document itself has been made available for download; in many cases, a PDF file will have been embedded as a preview, instead of as a document that could be downloaded. You could always contact the site administrator and request access to the document, although if it isn't obviously made available for download there could have been security measures taken to prevent sharing of the PDF file (heightened security of documents can be achieved using Adobe Acrobat desktop software).
All that being said, if the document was embedded using Acrobat.com's PDF preview widget, there would be a menu with a "Download" command; this will not be the case with every PDF you encounter online, but it is certainly something to look for. If you would like to see an example of this widget, there is one in this blog post.
Please let me know if you need any more information about this.
    Cordialement,
    Rebecca

  • Firefox won't print web site articles using hp c4795 printer

''please stick with your original thread - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/888631 - locking this one as a duplicate''
I cannot print articles from web sites using a hp c4795 printer. It says firefox not responding and pulls up my library documents file asking if i want to save an XPS file and if I say yes it don't do a thing. I had same problem yesterday and evidently your solution wasn't the answer.

I solved it for myself: it was my HP smart-web printer crap that was a plug in and add on for firefox that somehow automatically got installed when I upgraded to 5. I disabled both in the add-ons manager, and voila, printing is working.
It seems there are many things, like this and the Google toolbar, that were screwed by the oddly fast update to 5. Looks like Mozilla didn't give anybody any notice! Must've been some really bad security hole.

  • Printing problems with Pdf documents created with Pages

I upgraded to Acrobat 8.0 recently and for some reason when I save a Pages document to pdf, within the print options then try and print, it prints blank.
I have created other pdf documents which print OK, so the problem lies somewhere within Pages.
I didn't have the problem with Acrobat 7.0
    ANy ideas

When you say "Acrobat", do you mean Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro? Or do you mean Adobe Reader?
If it is Adobe Acrobat, I would go to the preflight option and see what information you get there. But no, I have not had the problem myself.

  • Printing Multi Page PDF Document exported from iPad

I e-mailed a PDF file from my iPad using the Numbers e-mail feature. I was sending it to my office (PC dominated!) to be entered. When she opened the attachment it looked fine, but, when she went to print it, this 6 page document tried to print on one page. I had page breaks inserted, and it did print on my Mac, but, it didn't print on her PC and it didn't print on my PC Laptop. I couldn't adjust any print parameters to have it print on more than one page, so, as it stands, the iPad is a totally useless tool for me. Anyone have any ideas?

I am having the same problem. I am not able to print my number documents on a PC, my multipage Number documents are shrunk to one page when trying to print as a PDF. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Printing multiple page PDF document, printer won't cut between pages.

I'm using a large format printer, an Epson Stylus Pro 9600, and trying to print from a PDF. It prints fine, but prints as one continuous roll, instead of cutting between pages. I've gone through all of the Epson driver options, as well as options on the printer itself to try and get it to auto cut between pages, and it still won't. So I'm wondering if there's an option in Acrobat that I'm missing? Has anyone encountered this issue, or know where to look for the option I must be missing?

    Print them separately then.
I don't think there is a solution that fits all (if "fit to Printable area" isn't good for you).

  • Query Print Layout - Generated PDF Document Name?

    Hi All,
Query Print Layouts associated to my user queries work great for printing...but does anyone know if there is a way to set a more appropriate document file name when attaching an edited PDF report to an email? It seems to always automatically create a document name starting with 'Query Manager_-1_12' or something similar when attaching the report document directly to email.
I do realize that I can save the file locally, choose any name I like, then attach to email... but this defeats the purpose of being able to send the query report directly to the email icon.
If anyone knows how I can do this it would be much appreciated. There seems no option in the QPLD document properties.
    Best regards,
    John

    Hello,
Yes, I have the same question. It could be great being able to choose the name of the document when creating a pdf. Even better if you could chose fields of the document for the name of the pdf, such as, name of customer, number of document, date, etc.
Is there any way for doing this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Javier.

  • Is it possible to allow printing of a PDF document without a password but still restrict editing?

We are putting a sample chapter of our book as a PDF on our webpage... the book is a workbook with exercises, so there are places for people to fill in a circle, write things, etc. (Which cannot be done the same way using the form feature and that is not my intent; the full workbook will be print-only.) I can imagine someone might want to print out the sample chapter to complete it... and then eventually buy our printed book. Ideally I would like to enable printing but DISABLE any editing of the PDF, just to protect our material. This PDF would be only for potential customers; I would make any changes to the original document in InDesign. The only options I see in Acrobat are to restrict printing AND editing with a password... you can't separate the two. Is there a way around this? (I have the latest Acrobat with Creative Cloud.) Thank you!

In the security permissions there are 2 different entries for "Printing Allowd" and "Changes Allowed".
