Problem authorizations in roles new concept BI
Hi developers,
I have a problem because after migration of the authorization have in a cube (FI area) two characteristic (Company Code and Controlling Area) relevant for the authorizations.
I wish control only the Company code but the system demands also the Controlling Area. I have insert the Controlling Area in authorization with EQ ( but no work because is insert in the free characteristic.
If I fixed the value of the Controlling Area associated to Company Code not work, if I insert a variable where the user enter the value the query work but not necessary for the user. If I insert CP () work but some users have queries of CO Area with controls on values of this characteristic. Insert CP () in FI Authorization means see all datas in CO.
Can help me for manage this situation where there are two areas FI / CO migrated where the old concept is different than BI
Thanks in advance
Domenico
Hi Balaji,
I had already create the authorization because we have effectued the migration after the upgrade of release.
Some users can see queries of FI an CO areas, for example:
User A (FI) can see only the Company Code XX but in the query there are also Controlling Area and if I insert Controlling Area XX the authorization don't work, the problem is resolved only I insert a variable also for Controlling Area not necessary for the user. If I insert ( or the value XX in CO Area the query do not work.
The query work only with variables after the introduction of the value XX or if I insert (*).
User A (CO) can see only the CO Area XX but if I insert in authorization precedent (*) the user can see all because the authorization are summarized.
In this situation you know a method for manage two different authorization for the same users autonomously
Thanks Domenico

Authorizations: Dynamic roles
Hello everybody,
We are going to migrate our authorizations from 3.x concept to BI-7.
With the new concept we are compelled to respect certain requirements like to include into the single user profile every InfoObject AuthorizationRelevant (that are also built-in into the InfoProvider, indented for the future analysis).
- Certain users had only one dynamic role. In such a case we are able to restrict for instance:
o 0CO_AREA = a value;
o every other InfoObject AuthorizationRelevant = * (every single values)
- Certain users had two or more dynamic roles; in such a case we are supposed to:
o ROLE 1: 0CO_AREA = a value; every other InfoObject AuthorizationRelevant, for instance 0COMANY_CODE = * (every single values)
o ROLE 2: 0COMANY_CODE = a value; every other InfoObject AuthorizationRelevant, for instance 0CO_AREA = * (every single values)
In this particular case though we expect that the system will ignore our restrictions because it is adding the two roles in fact:
ROLE 1 is set: 0CO_AREA = a value;
ROLE 2 is set: 0CO_AREA = *.
Base on what we just described above, here they are our questions:
1. Does exist a symbol (for instance : >) that we can assigned to every InfoObject AuthorizationRelevant in order to cheat the system making it understand that it is there but not relevant for the authorizations (instead using *)?
2. If not can you please suggest us another way to cope with the problem of having for a user more dynamic roles assigned.
Thank you very much
Matteo MarinielloHello,
I don't have a solution but I think I understood Matteo's goal which is not at all to authorized users to do anything they want to.
He wants to restrict certain tasks but when it comes for a user to have two or more dynamic roles the addition of them make the restriction useless.
As he said
Dynamic Role 1)
0CO_AREA = a value
0COMP_CODE= *
Dynamic Role 2)
0CO_AREA = *
0COMP_CODE= A VALUE
Therefore; the addition of them for ONE user is going to make the restrictions
0CO_AREA = a value
0COMP_CODE= a value
USELESS!!
Take Care

How to get murrine dust theme to work? (new concept theme for ubuntu)
hello!
i just want to try and install the new concept theme for ubuntu - DustTheme!
but i don't get it to work. it uses the murrine-engine - but when i want to select it via gtk-chtheme or gtk2_prefs it does not sets the colors or anything else. when i hit apply, the standard ugly gtk-theme will be selected.
anyone here who actually uses the theme?
more information:
DustTheme Ubuntu Wiki
installed packages:
gtk-engine-murrine 0.53.1
also tried: gtk-engine-murrine-svn rev 94
please help, thanks...
bye iggy

Hrm, I'm not quite sure what you mean. I don't see "profile" anywhere in the gtkrc - everything seems to be labeled as "style" already.

MSS (non-webdynpro) Authorizations and Roles
Do you know the MSS 60.1 business package authorizations and roles that are required for the backend R/3 system? I noticed an SAP note exists for the webdynpro version (#798967) but didn't see a note for the old package.
Umair,
I know this auth object is required for webdynpros in new business package but does it apply for old traditional java MSS package too?
Thanks, John -
Authorizations & Business roles for ITSM
Dears,
i would like to ask whoever implemented an ITSM as a service desk for an IT organization, after setup the Organizational Structure (Organizational Model) and setup the Organizational Unit (Sold To Part) and Org. Object (Support team).
what is the best approach to give Authorizations & Business roles for :
1) new employee joined the company as an End User (Requester).
2) new employee joined the company as one of the IT Help desk (Dispatcher, Processor....etc.)
Regards,
YazeedHI Shikha,
i hope you are assigning the Role to the Position cretaed in your org model.
That is by navigating thru
GO TO-DETAIL OBJECT-ENHANCED DETIAL DESCRIPTION-By creating new infotype for Business Role
here one can assign the Business Role with the position.
In case you are not assigning by above mentioned way. Try to do so. Hope this will help.

Pages 08 fonts- problems with Arial, Times New Roman - how do I repair them?
Pages 08 fonts- problems with Arial, Times New Roman - how do I repair them?
Using 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro
MikeaaaI am running Snow Leopard. Transferring the same texts to TextEdit has no problems, so this is a Pages problem, I think. Corruption of Times New Roman and Arial fonts, I suspect, but where? and what do I do about it? I just need to be pointed to a source of advice, I think.
Thanks

Hi, I have an iphone 4 with my itunes library on a Windows XP computer. My spouse (who has now passed away) had an itouch with an itunes library on an IMac. here is the problem, I bought an new iphone 6 and wanted to sync with my windows xp library and of course my itunes version is out of date and I need to update it...well I try and update the version and it will not update the Itunes library and when I researched it I would have to upgrade from XP to Windows 7...r they kidding me...first of all my computer is old and a pain in the *** but I have my itunes library on it. Sp to get my phone working I sync'd it on the IMac and my spouses Itunes library has been sync'd to my iphone and I don't know how to get my library on it...After thinking about it I want to combine the libraries after all there are some purchases on each one.
I have done some research and you have to buy a 3rd party piece of software...this is not the way I want to go...I do not think i should have to buy one and also when I do a goole search there are a ton of them out there and I am sorry i do not trust the comments as some of them do identify that they will get a kick back.
Can someone help, i should be able to export my itunes library from my iphone 4 to the itunes library by appending/importing it...it is not rocked science on what I want to do and I cannot find out any process...
Can someone help ?Create a new user account on the computer that he can log in to.

Lots of info about one user using multiple computers. What about multiple users with separate Apple IDs using same computer? Having problems getting my wifes new iPhone talking to her apple account on the computer we share (2 users)
You need to create a user account for your wife (or yourself depending on who has the current user account). When syncing, each of you should sign in as a separate user, login to iTunes and then sync. I had this problem when my sister got an iPhone. When we did her initial sync, everything on my iPhone showed up on hers. Apple gave me this solution.

How can I disable POST GOODS RECEIPT button in transactions VL31N/VL32N via Authorization or Role Level, There is a requirement from my client and i propose two methode
1- Creation of Ztcode ZVL32N and do changes ABAP program level
2- Disablement via Authorization/Role level - but how can i find the auth object/ Authorization corresponds to POST GOODS RECEIPT button in VL32NI think you can make use of SHD0 - Transaction variant to achieve this. You can make it as grayed out while recording steps in SHD0.

Hi all, i'm new to Mac book & Xcode. I'm learning and facing problems while creating a new file for Xcode. Before i upgrade the software, i have no issue to create simple steps in apps. After upgrade Xcode to 4.6 version, i'm facing lot's of issue eg.
1) "the identity "iphone developer" doesn't match any valid certificate/ private key pair",
2) can't select the box "with XIB for user interface" if the subclass is "UIViewController"..
Appreciate for any help rendered.Mikko777 wrote:So what is the best?
I wouldn't judge. I've been to Arch for a week, you know? But as said, it's VERY close to it.
What I dislike after a week is makepkg not handling dependencies automatically (which would be overhead, so probably not appropriate).
Mikko777 wrote:Also theres KDEmod for modular kde, dunno if its for 64 bits tho.
Don't actually need that as said ... I see no real benefit of having that other than not beeing a KDE user or having Gentoos useflags.

The problem is with the new operating system and sending photo via email when used in my iPad.
From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow. This is solved by saving the email as a draft and opening the email again from mail.
Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off" -
i see that i have a problem after installing my new hard drive on my macbook pro mid 2009 version. I put a new hard drive, with all of my information from my old drive installed on it, into the computer. but now have the blinking question mark folder. I see that it means that it isn't reading the new hard drive.
did i miss a step between transferring all of my information from my old hard drive to the new hard drive and installing the new hard drive into the computer. I believe that i installed properly. it was quite easy.
thanks for your helpIt means there is no bootable system on the drive. If you still have access to the old drive, then I suggest you boot from it then clone it to the new internal drive. Use OPTION boot to boot from the Recovery HD on the old drive:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
button.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
to the Destination entry field.
5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
the Source entry field.
6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Source means the external old drive. Destination means the new internal drive. -
I have problem setting up a new wireless keyboard and my new Mac mini
I have problem setting up a new wireless keyboard and my new Mac mini
Same with my new mac mini.
Got it brand new via the online shop.
Happy to start with the new mac i really got dissapointed by the fact that it`s impossible to pair the wireless keyboard unless you first connect a USB keyboard to the mac mini and start the configuration.
THIS S.U.C.K.S. !!!
No hint at all from apple that you first have to connect the USB keyboard.
I had to borrowed a USB keyboard from my neighbour :-((
After setting things up it was no problem at all to establish the BT connection with the keyboard.
Works fine now.
