how can I resolve a "com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx"?
I've got a problem.
I've done a client/server application that extends from Applet. When I try to connect the client application with the server one, the Internet Explorer gives me this error:
excepcion= com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx[ConexionServidor.<init>]: cannot access "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx":1234
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of my local host where both, the server application and the client one, are running.
How could I resolve this problem?.
Thank you.From your message, it looks like it may an applet security issue. Your applet probably needs to be signed. Check out the "Signed Applets" forum for many discussions about this.

HimanshuHi,
I'm not sure of my solution but it seems to be working for me for the moment.
I have installed JRE v1.4 and made the following addition to the java.policy file, which is present in the lib/security folder.
grant {
permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "accessClassInPackage.sun.jdbc.odbc";
permission java.util.PropertyPermission "file.encoding", "read";
permission java.security.AllPermission;
IMPORTANT: After making the above addition, I had to open Java Console through Java Plugin Control Panel Application and Select option 'r'- reload policy configuration.
This made my applet to run in Netscape 7 but not in IE 6.0. In order to run the applet under IE 6.0, I had to run Java Plugin Control Panel Application select 'Broswer' tab and tick Internet Explorer checkbox. This enabled my IE 6.0 to use sun java 2 runtime environment.
I hope this was of any help to you.

Com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx when trying to access a file on server
Hi folks,
I have an applet packaged in a jar file, the jar file contains also an xml file that the applet need to use. But the code below throws a security exception:
Inputstream inputstream = new URL("file://localhost:8080/"+path).openStream();
In my opinion I should even use just "new URL(path).openStream()" as the file is in the jar file downloaded at the beginning of the applet execution.
Is it allowed to have other file type than class file in a jar ?
If yes why the VM can't just find my xml file in the jar and to go back to the server to find ? and throw the below security exception ?

I am having email problems with the new Mountain Lion. stmp, imap, etc. I have looked up google info and It is confusing when it comes to TS, SSL also, please explain how to set it up so my email goes out and comes in securely. Help
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - requires SSL:
imap.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 993
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS:
smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587
Account Name:
your full email address (including @gmail.com) Google Apps users, please enter username@your_domain.com
Email Address:
your full Gmail email address ([email protected]) Google Apps users, please enter username@your_domain.com
Password:
your Gmail password
The Quick Answer
Follow the instructions below to set up IMAP1 access in most email clients.
Google Apps users, please follow the default instructions unless otherwise noted, replacing 'your_domain.com' with your actual domain2 name.
this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?
Please help me set this up securely. ThanksApple - Support - Mail Setup Assistant

Hi All,
After several hours and a short night of sleep I'm out of ideas and hopefully someone here can help me trying to solve this one. First of all the situation:
Exchange 2013 on a remote location with a CA-certificate.
Outlook 2010 and 2013 on different locations, locally installed and on RDS.
When I open Outlook on my laptop all is fine, no errors, good sync, no problem. But when I open Outlook on our Remote Desktop Servers with Outlook 2013 I'm getting errors like "There is a problem with the security certificate of the proxy server. The
name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site. Outlook is unable to connect to this server. (Error code 18)". Opening Outlook 2010 the message is the same, but the error code now is 38.
After this Outlook opens and is working, there's one more error though. After a while an security warning pops up with the message: "Information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others. However, there is a problem with the
site's security certificate. * The security certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust. View the certificate to determine whether you want to trust the certifying authority. * The security certificate is valid. * The name on the security
certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site."
Strangest thing is, it is the certificate of my RDS! It isn't my valid en officially bought certificate from my mailserver. What's going on? I'm out of options, what I've tried so far (in random order):
- restarting mailserver and AD;
- restarting switches;
- restarting routers;
- restarting RDS, AD and all other servers;
- bypassed proxyserver for RDS;
- created a new profile;
- checked recently installed updates;
- checked certificate on mailserver;
- checked RDS on a different location, working fine.
Nothing helped, what can I do next? Please advice.
Regards.Found a thread that solves half my problem (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/70d18244-889a-4d95-ac3f-e234672a82b2/there-is-a-problem-with-the-proxy-servers-security-certificate-error-when-starting-outlook?forum=exchangesvrclients).
The first message can be suppressed by adding this to the Exchange config:
set-outlookprovider -Identity EXCH -CertprincipalName msstd:webmail.domain.tld
set-outlookprovider -Identity EXPR -CertprincipalName msstd:webmail.domain.tld
Giving the command get-outlookprovider, gives me empty information regarding the certprinipalname. Filled
this and after recreating the profile or deleting the ost-file I still have the second alert with the local certificate of my RDS.
Not completely where I want to be, any help regarding the second alert is greatly appreciated! -
Problem Calling WS-Security enabled service
Hi,
I have a problem when trying to call a web service which responds with signed content as per the WS-Security Spec. I have loaded my own certificate by using the keytool -export command from my javakeystore. I have loaded this certificate using the visual administrator. However I am getting a problem when I try and call it from an external client I get the following error
javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException: 0003BA125DEC005200000284000066E400040DED51F77EFE : Error during the generation of a digital signature. Error was: com.sap.security.core.securitypolicy.assertions.cert.KeyAndCertException Error reading the private key and certificate from the keystore (view oraks, alias ). Error: com.sap.engine.services.keystore.exceptions.BaseRemoteException Remote call errored.
I need to test this functionality as part of a technology appraisal so any advice on how to get around this error would be grately appreciated. Likewise as this is not production if anyone had an example using the existing certificates that ship with the WebAS that would be grately appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance

Best RegardsI have deployed CF 9 on WebLogic 10.3.4.
The K2Encrypt error occured when I was accessing the CF Admin page and I would get blank pages. The workaround to that was to change the adminconfig.xml setting of <unsetupwizard> to false. Everything seemed to work, but then when I accessed the Coldfusion Collections page then I would again see a blank page and the K2Encrypt error in the exception log.
The K2Encrypt class is provided by the verity.jar which was being picked up, although not properly it seems, by ColdFusion in its class path.
As of 8/15, support at Adobe confirmed that this was an issue after they replicated the same problem. They stated that they have escalated this to their engineering department. -
Hey I am curious how can I get the .ipa compiled file for iOS to be able to read all the directories on the iPhone?
I made a file browser but I cant get to the pictures
I tried adding the entitlements in Flash Builder 4.6 in the descriptor file like this:
<key>com.apple.security.files.user-selected.read-only</key>
<true/>
<key>com.apple.security.assets.movies.read-only</key>
<true/>
<key>com.apple.security.assets.pictures.read-only</key>
<true/>
in the
<iPhone>
<Entitlements>
<![CDATA[
I got Push notifications working and accepted in the app store but it can't read the pictures directory when browsing for a file
I know the app id and stuff is set up right or I wouldnt have been able to get it accepted in the app store. In the entitlements area of course I have the application identifier set and aps-environment and keychain access groups and whatnot set up right.
When I try to put the app onto the iPhone with iTunes it just says 'Entitlements are not valid' (does not mention anything about mismatched ids) I can't find anything about how to add this entitlement and I could have sworn I saw a thing that said I can just use the descriptor file to add entitlements in some of the documentation I have it set to use air 3.4
Is there something I am doing wrong, how do I get apple to just put these entitlements in the mobileprovision file, I cant seem to edit it, if I do I also get an error in itunes that is some hex code...Did you ever solve your problem?
I just transfered my web hosting and e-mail to bluehost. I had some of the same problems you are having. I noticed you have your incoming server set to bluehost.
Incoming mail server: (SSL) box610.bluehost.com (sever requires authentication which I already have done)
If bluehost is your server this is what worked for me:
Account Information
Account type— POP
Description—anything you want
Email Address—in your case would be [email protected]
Full name— first and last name
Incoming server—mail.magnus.com
User name—[email protected] Notice it is the @ symbol not a +
password— your password . Remember they are case sensitive
Outgoing Mail server—select edit smpt server list from the drop down window
select the + to add a server
Account Information
Description—may be left blank
Server name—mail.magnus.com
TSL Certificate—None
Advanced
Use default ports
Check Use SSL
Authenticate—password
Username—[email protected]
passowrd—your password
Click ok
In the accounts window
Outgoing SMTP— select the server you just created.
Check—use only this server
Select the Advance tab next to the Mailbox Behaviors
Check use SSL— it will be port 995
Authenticate —use password

Now I had to restart my Ipod all over again which because of that i lost all my data. When I want to get apps I can't install them because of a billing information problems. What security code do they want on my account settings information? And how do you delete purchased apps that you install, but didn't want?
Maybe the three or four digit security code on your credit card card

or maybe the answers to your security questions. If you do not remember them:

Problem assigning Essbase Security filters in Shared Services
We recently upgraded Planning/Essbase to System 9 version 931 in Test. Everything went smoothly except for few users Security didn't migrate properly.
In Shared Services, it shows that user has access to Planning & Native Essbase Applications. But in Essbase, only Planning Application access is shown.
Also when I try to apply security filters for these users in Native Essbase Applications (in Shared Services), I don't see these particular users.
There is no problem with Planning security, except when I refresh Security from Shared Services in Analytic Admin Console it wipes out Planning Application access in Essbase.
For other users there are no issues. Only for few users this is the problem. I have tried to deprovision user & provision back, but no use.
Please HelpEssbase/Planning security is multi tiered. In Shared Services you setup your groups. You provision your groups with adequate security access. Depending on whether you have updated a cetain .css file(to fix bug) you may have to assign the read, write calc access to the group not just calc, but all three if your users need the access to actually, read, write & calc. of need user to just read & write etc... then you have to go to EAS refresh, run maxl script to assign environment access to user, go back to shared services go into projects assign any needed access to calc & filter groups and essbase is setup. For planning you also have to go to workspace and migrate identities within the security setup for any of your dimensions. this comes into play when adding or removing users as filters are created in planning workspace. I just learned this from one good tech that helped me setup & remove users as I had issues getting them in and out of the system..Now to move on to actually getting security reports that make sense for planning with the associated access. If anyone has the maxl code let me know.

I have opened two versions of Firefox (v3.6.18 and v3.5), v3.6.18 is my default browser. The problem comes after an attempt to open a HTML file. An error appears: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." Why wouldn't it just open on my default browser? Thanks for the help!
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

I would like to ask for your help to look into the problem being encountered in starting J2EE Engine
Caused by: com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.PersistenceException: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)
At first we identified that the user EPQASCONNECT was not created in R3 QAS system, we have created this one. At the same time, we have changed the ume.r3.connection.master.passwd to reflect the password set in R3 QAS. But still it is not working.
Also, checking the trace file for server0, the rc code is -11113.
The following users SAPJSF,J2EE_GUEST and J2EE_admin were not locked.
Followed the http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/45/1bbdccc7850064e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm. link to make changes.
The problem raised after the system refresh in QAS system. License was also installed after System refresh.
