Problem consuming ADF/Webcenter Portlet in Worskshop for as remote portlet

hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 11g and creating a portlet of a full fledged application with model and data control.
I am consuming this portlet in Workshop for Weblogic 10gR3 as remote portlet through registering it as wsrp.
The problem i am facing is the images doesn't get displayed..also the functionality like page navigation don't work!!
The same portlet works fine in jdeveloper web center environment when consumed with same wsdl.
Please help
Regards
Ajinkya.

Hi,

  • Is WSRP supported in Adobe CQ for accessing Remote Portlet?

    Hello, I wanted to know if WSRP is supported in Adobe CQ for accesssing remote portlet? or alternate ways to access remote portlets on Adobe CQ pages. Pointers in this direction would be helpful.
    Thanks

    AFAIK we don't have WSRP producer OR consumer. Using [1] might help to meet your need.

  • Portlet Edit Mode in a Remote Portlet doesn't work with JSP

    I am facing a strange problem. I created a protelet and attached the edit to a JSP Page(edit.jsp). When I create a portlet of this and display in a portal, the edit works fine in case of a local portlet. But when the same is made as a remote portlet, I get an Operation failed fault.
    The exception is:
    Fault: {urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v1:types}OperationFailed
    Internal Server Error: Page Flow [testPortlet.edit.edit.jsp] is invalid..; nested exception is: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Page Flow [testPortlet.edit.edit.jsp] is invalid
    Does anyone know why the edit in a remote portlet works only with a page flow?

    There is no edit mode defined in this portlet.

  • Find Criteria problem in ADF BC framework with DataServices for tables 1to1

    Hi..
    I have built a DataService (Database tables exposed as WebServices) using ADF BC framework in JDeveloper.
    I have used 2 tables Cqualitycategory(Parent) and Cqualitycategoryxref(child) with 1 to 1 relationship on id Cqualitycategoryid.
    This service exposes operations such as Create, Update, Find, delete & etc.
    After providing this service WSDL path to SOAP UI tool and when I try to hit the find criteria(*childFindCriteria*) using the below request I receive all the records of the child for a single parent table(Having multiple records for the child tables). But according to the below request(childFindCriteria filter) I should only get the records which matches the filter along with the Parent record.
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:typ="/com/abc/csim/ebo/module/common/types/" xmlns:typ1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/svc/types/">

    <typ1:filter>

    <typ1:item>

    <typ1:attribute>Cqualitycategoryid</typ1:attribute>
    <typ1:operator>like</typ1:operator>
    <typ1:value>209</typ1:value>
    </typ1:item>
    </typ1:group>
    </typ1:filter>
    <typ1:childFindCriteria>
    <typ1:filter>
    <typ1:group>
    <typ1:item>
    <typ1:upperCaseCompare>true</typ1:upperCaseCompare>
    <typ1:attribute>Cqualitycategorycode</typ1:attribute>
    <typ1:operator>=</typ1:operator>
    <typ1:value>P1234</typ1:value>
    <typ1:nested/>
    </typ1:item>
    </typ1:group>
    </typ1:filter>
    <typ1:childFindCriteria/>
    </typ1:childFindCriteria>
    </typ:findCriteria>

    </typ:findControl>
    </typ:findCqualitycategoryBO>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    But the same kind of request (find criteria) is perfectly works fine by giving the desired result(childFindCriteria) with 1 Parent tables and 2-3 childs(1 to many relationship).
    It seems to be an issue with the ADF BC Framework for the tables with 1 to 1 relationship.
    Please suggest me a solution or a work around so that the childFindCriteria works for tables with 1 to 1 relationship.

    Hi,
    I think this can be explained the best with the fact that the web is stateless. If you mark a record for update, which you do when you submit it. Then it should get locked in the database. After commit you release the lock and whoever wants to override the value you put in can do this. I don't think that a lock should be released only if a user re-queries the data. You can code this in though: just requery the records on error

  • NPE while registering Remote Portlet in Weblogic Portal 10.3

    Hi,
    I am on Weblogic Portal 10.3 and am trying to create a remote portlet in my portal application. The remote Portlet is hosted on OC4J 10.3.1.1.1 and is consumed properly on Oracle Portal without any errors, however, when I try to access the portlet's wsdl via the Remote Portlet Wizard, I get the following exception while registering.

  • Timeout during a remote portlet request

    I'm facing a problem on portal consuming a remote portlet on wlp 8.1 SP4/5.
    We ask me to prevent a communication leak during a wsrp communication between me (the consumer) and a producer.
    I have seen this parameter that can be add to my wsrp-producer-registry.xml :
    connection-establishment-timeout-msecs
    connection-timeout-msecs
    This is a container way to change the parameter but what do you suggest to manage the error when it appears. Is their and error page on portlet ? in web.xml?
    Thanks for any suggestion.
    Yo.

    In G6, we have provided a way for a remote portlet to grab the parameters from the URL. If you go to the user info page for the web service, you will see a new option: "Host Page URL Query String". If you check that box, the remote tier will get the full query string, as typed into the browser, as a user info parameter. You can then parse that query string and get any additional arguments that you have passed in.
    We realize that this will not work in 5.x, which most of you use. Below you will find the code that you can put into your 5.0 portaluiinfrastructure.jar/dll to make the same change as what we did with G6. That way, if you write your portlets to this feature now, when you upgrade to G6 they will continue working and you shouldn't have to do any modifications to the portal UI.
    Locate AppDataObject file, which should be in portaluiinfrastructure.statichelpers package. Find this function:
    public static IPTState GetAppDataObject(int iCommunityID, int iPageID, int iGWParams, String strHostPageURI, AActivitySpace asOwner, boolean bResolveSecureBase)
    It should be a pretty long function that adds all sorts of stuff to objAppDataObject. At the very end of this function, immediately before the log.Debug statements, add the following line of code:
    //set the query string on UserInfoptSession.GetUserInfo().AddUserInfoSetting("HostPageQueryString", asOwner.GetCurrentHTTPRequest().GetQueryString());
    Build and deploy a new portaluiinfrastructure.jar/dll according to instructions published on the dev center.
    Start the portal, open the web service object corresponding to the portlet which should have access to query string parameters from the URL. On the User Info page, add user info setting name "HostPageQueryString". In your portlet, get the user info setting with that name - you will have the query string as entered in the browser.
    Feel free to post in this thread if you encounter any difficulties with this approach.

  • Overriding or Adding CSS on a remote portlet

    Hi all,
    I have a producer portlet on Jboss and a remote consumer portlet on Weblogic Portal 10.2. I want to override or add the CSS on the consumer side to that portlet . I tried by giving the same path of the CSS file in both consumer and producer.
    Please tell me if there is any way to do that.
    Thanks

  • The grace period for the Remote Desktop Session Host server has expired

    <p>I'm running Windows Server 2012, we only have 1 server and it's a DC.  I'm trying to RD to the server from my Windows 7 laptop. It was working fine on Friday but when I came in on Monday I got message saying that 'The remote session was disconnnected
    because there are no Remote Desktop License Servers available to provide a license'
    So after a bit of digging I found out my 'grace period' had expired, so ordered a new license which I got today, installed this all ok but still i cannot connect via RD I get the same message....went into the RD License Diagnoser and it said the problem
    was as follows
    'The grace period for the Remote Desktop Session Host server has expired, but the RD Session Host server has not been configured with any license servers. Connections to the RD Session Host server will be denied unless a license server is configured for
    the RD Session Host server.'
    Suggested Resolution as follows
    Configure a license server for the Remote Desktop Session Host server. If you have an existing license server, specify that license server for the RD Session Host Server. Otherwise, install RD Licensing on a computer on your network and Configure RD Session
    Host Server to use it.'
    I cannot figure out how to do this as I cannot find the RD Session Host Server tool.
    Can any of you lovely people help me please

    Hello,
    Best option would be to assign the license server by using AD GPO. Youl will need to configure the following:
    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Licensing
    and define the settings for:
    Use the specified Remote Desktop License Server
    Set the Remote Desktop Licensing mode
    Then assign the policy tho your server.

  • Problem consuming portlet of an ADF application into webcenter application

    Hi,
    I have created a simple ADF application with one JSF page having a document list task flow displaying some documents from UCM. I created a portlet out of it by Create Portlet Entry and deployed it onto integrated weblogic. Then i created a webcenter Application in which i created a single JSF page and dragged that registered portlet on to it.
    Problem is that Portlet runs fine standalone
    It also Gives the correct WSDL
    It was registered successfully
    But when i consumed that into my webcenter application, It given me Portlet Unavailable.

    Hi All,
    Even I am trying to achieve something similar and get the same error.
    I created a simple JSR 286 portlet with view.jspx and edit.jspx in Portlet Producer Application. And trying to consume that portlet in WebCenter Portal Application using WSRP.
    The producer application gets deployed without any errors and I am able to register that application in WebCenter portal application using WSRP.
    I used the content presenter taskflow in Producer Application to grab a html from UCM. Consumed that (drag & drop) remote portlet in home.jspx of the Webcenter Portal Application.
    When I run the WebCenter Portal, I get this error on console and in browser:
    javax.portlet.faces.BridgeException: oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition portletone.html.viewPageDef of type Form Binding Definition is not found.

    Sometimes I don't see this error when I restart my WLS but the portlet doesn't display any content from UCM either.

  • ER - Problem with ADF Faces filter when running ADF Faces within a portlet

    I am attempting to get ADF Faces to run within Oracle Portal, i.e. within a portlet using the JPDK.
    This, I am sure you are about to tell me, is not something that is fully supported, as yet.
    However, I have been successful in getting MyFaces to run within a portlet, by customizing the form tag.
    MyFaces, it seems, keeps track of the current viewid by storing it in the session, then uses this within the viewhandler and navigationhandler to determine the next view to load, based on the faces-config.xml navigation entries.
    By customizing the form tag it is then possible to retrieve this viewid from the faces context and outputting it in the form's action parameter.
    It is also possible, with a few more customizations, to run JSF RI within a portlet, i.e. by adding a custom viewhandler and loading a session variable with the current viewid from the faces context, then retrieving the viewid and outputting it as the action string in the customized form tag .
    Unfortunately there does not appear to be any way of getting ADF Faces (EA19 version) to run as a portlet, with either the RI or with MyFaces.
    I have configured a basic .jspx document in the <showPage> tags of the provider.xml file.
    This uses only the form tag and a few input tags and works when executed directly within my portlet project in JDeveloper (http://localhost:8988/TestJSFAppContext/faces/htdocs/facesportlet/index.jspx) using a redirectfilter (*.jspx htdocs -> /faces/htdocs).
    It is not possible to run ADF Faces with RI as a portlet since customization of the ADF Faces ViewHandler appears not to be supported.
    When attempting to run this with MyFaces as a portlet, however, I get the following message:
    oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.webapp.AdfFacesFilterImpl verifyFilterIsInstalled
    WARNING: The AdfFacesFilter has not been installed. ADF Faces requires this filter for proper execution.
    I am having difficulty in understanding as to why this is happening but am guessing it must be something to do with either redirect URLs or due to the .jspx files being under /htdocs, i.e. the ADF Faces renderkit is checking that the ADF Faces filter is configured but the check fails since the filter does not execute.
    I have configured the filter in web.xml, as detailed in the documentation:
      <filter>
        <filter-name>adfFaces</filter-name>
        <filter-class>oracle.adf.view.faces.webapp.AdfFacesFilter</filter-class>
      </filter>
      <filter-mapping>
        <filter-name>adfFaces</filter-name>
        <servlet-name>ADF Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
      </filter-mapping>
    <servlet>
        <servlet-name>ADF Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
        <servlet-class>javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet</servlet-class>
      </servlet>
      <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>ADF Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>/faces/*</url-pattern>
      </servlet-mapping>and have modified the provider.xml file as follows:-
          <renderer class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.RenderManager">
             <renderContainer>true</renderContainer>
             <renderCustomize>true</renderCustomize>
             <autoRedirect>true</autoRedirect>
             <contentType>text/html</contentType>
      <showPage>/faces/htdocs/facesportlet/index.jspx</showPage>
             <editPage>/htdocs/facesportlet/FacesportletEditPage.jsp</editPage>
             <editDefaultsPage>/htdocs/facesportlet/FacesportletEditDefaultsPage.jsp</editDefaultsPage>
          </renderer>with the following tags also set:
       <session>true</session>
       <passAllUrlParams>true</passAllUrlParams>In order to ensure that the session stays alive so that the views are retrieved.
    As I say, the page loads OK when run directly within the JPDK project within JDeveloper, with a redirect filter (*.jspx -> /faces/*.jspx) but not when run from within Oracle Portal.
    In fact I have found that this filter is very sensitive, i.e. ADF Faces will not run in any project unless the configuration is exactly as above.
    It seems that the MyFaces team have got around the problem of maintaining session state with redirections but that ADF Faces needs the page URL that is passed in to the filter to be consistent.
    Is there some way around this, i.e. some kind of customization that I can implement to get the filter working?
    Thnks

    I have found a way to go round the problem.
    I use the servlet 2.4/jsp 2.0 route and then
    change the web.xml header to the servlet 2.3/jsp 1.2
    format. Everything then works fine after this!
    Please fix this for production.

  • Facing problem working with remote portlets

    Hi,
    I have a usecase where in i created a WSRP producer containing 2 jsr168 portlets. This producer application contains a form based security configured for the default role PortalSystemAdministrator(weblogic/weblogic).
    I am have a consumer application which consumes these portlets. This application too has form based security configured for the default role PortalSystemAdministrator.
    What i have done in the above application is created a SSO scenario, where in once i login in through the consumer application, the user information is passed along to the producer through the configured WSRPIdentityAsserter token, thereby forming a trust between the producer and consumer application.
    This scenario works perfectly fine as expected and i am able to view the remote portlets through the consumer.
    Now i have deployed another j2ee application in the same portal domain. This application resulted in a custom realm created and a set of custom authentication providers within it.
    So now the current situation is that active realm in the new custom realm, and it contains 4 custom suthentication providers. Here i saw the WSRPIdentityAsserter missing from the list so from the admin console i configured WSRPIdentityAsserter.
    But when i try to run the same consumer application, though it lets me login in using the same credentials (weblogic/weblogic), it fails to propagate the principal values across to the producer application.
    Since in my producer portlet i have a code "request.getUserPrincipal()" which now results in a null value.
    When i used the "/monitor" context to check for the flow of soap messages between the consumer and the producer i can see the header containing the Saml token and "weblogic" as the user name.
    And the most wired part about all this is, when i was reading through the weblogic documentation for wsrp, i encountered something related to <enable-local-proxy> value within wsrp-producer-registry.xml. By default this value is set to false. And the things worked well earlier with this default value as explained above. So just to give a shot at trying things i set this value to true and i was able to view the portlets correctly.
    But i am still yet to find a solution to the problem as stated above with the <enable-local-proxy> set to its default value(false), since it worked well earlier.
    So i am pretty clueless as to what would be going wrong here. Is it that since the new custom relam is now active i need to make some sort of changes in regards to the WSRPIdentityAsserter configurations.
    I tried googling for a long time, but failed to get any relevant help on this problem.
    Can someone please throw some light on this.
    Thanks,
    Vikram

    Deepak,
    I dont think that would be an issue since, my scenario worked well with the default realm (myrealm) and the default user (weblogic/weblogic). In that case i suppose it used DefaultAuthenticator for authentication and WSRPIdentityAsserter for passing the information from the consumer to the producer.
    But after deploying this other J2ee application on the same portal domain, which resulted in a new security realm being created and few custom authentication providers added.
    So now the situation is when i try to run the above consumer application, though it lets me login but it does not pass the login credentials (principal) to the producer application (which is earlier did through the WSRPIdentityAsserter). Since my code in the producer portlet (request.getUserPrincipal()) results in null value.
    Checking through the "/monitor" context shows that the consumer is passing the login credentials through the saml tokens within the SOAP header. But either it is not reaching the producer application or then there is some other reason due to which the producer application is failing to trust the consumer and provide the secure data.
    Please can some one help me on this.
    Thanks,
    Vikram

  • ADF Webcenter Portal Deployment System Hardware and Software configurations

    HI All,
    Anyone please help me to sort out this issue.
    I need to have the production System requirements of Hardware and Software.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks / Balaji.

    Hi.
    Do you need High Avaiability in your environment?
    Are you planning work with Spaces or Portal?.
    A typical architecture consists in a cluster of two machines por HA.
    About your response/users requirement I think that next settings will be OK (approach):
    - Each WC_SpacesX node 4g or 6g
    - Each UCM_Server 2g
    - Each WC_CollaboratrionX 1g
    - If don't use Portlets, Analytics and others you can maintain shutdown these servers.
    Approximatelly you'll consume 23GB RAM with all components working (Analytics also, portlets... also).
    For performance and good response of pages don't forget next tips:
    - WebTier OHS installed with DEFLATE module enabled. It reduces too much static files loaded in WebCenter like CSS, JS and Images.
    - Put your custom images in OHS instead of inside of WebCenter platform.
    - Don't install WebCache. It's not useful for WebCenter.
    - Configure JoC (Java Object Cache) for cluster caching.
    Remember that this information it's only an approach based on my experience, you've to investigate and work with Oracle to decide the best apporach for your requirements.
    Regards.

    I have a problem with ADF Trinidad Table. I have one search form and which i click on search button the result is coming it's working fine, And when i click on CreateInsert button to insert a new row it's adding after entering all the data into the table when i click on button on the page i am getting error like

    Hi,
    Modify your method to call super.doDML() after initialization of mandatory attributes as below:
    protected void doDML(int operation, TransactionEvent e) {
         oracle.jbo.domain.Date dt = new Date();
         if(operation ==DML_INSERT){
              //PRE-INSERT code begins
           EntityDefImpl cmSubscribers=CmSubscribersImpl.getDefinitionObject();
           CmSubscribersImpl newSubscribers=(CmSubscribersImpl)cmSubscribers.createInstance2(getDBTransaction(),null);
           Number n=new Number(1599);
           newSubscribers.setCreatedBy(n);
           newSubscribers.setCreationDate(dt);
           newSubscribers.setLastUpdateDate(dt);
           newSubscribers.setLastUpdatedBy(n);
           //PRE-INSERT code ends
           super.doDML(operation, e);
           //POST-INSERT code if any
         }else
            super.doDML(operation, e);
    }Sireesha

  • Oracle Portal Portlet 404 Error for Specific Users

    I have a single portlet in Oracle Portal that is returning the message "Error: The listener returned the following error: 404 Not Found" that is occurring for just 2 out of my 350+ users. I have tried clearing user cache, clearing portlet cache, deleting these two users from portal and recreating their accounts, changing their usernames, rebooting the entire app server and nothing is working. There are other users for which the portlet will return the exact same data that the 2 problem users are requesting without an issue.
    Portal version is 10.1.2.3. Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated as I am about ready to beat my head against a wall.

    Hi Kirk,

  • Migration Jdev 11.1.1.1 to Jdev 1.1.2, IDE visual problems with ADF design

    Migration Jdev 11.1.1.1 to Jdev 1.1.2, IDE visual problems with ADF design
    CONTEXT
    I’ve been working my project with Jdev11.1.1.1, when I migrate to JDev 11.1.1.2. I realized that my project didn’t compile successfully as before besides I couldn’t see the design view in a WYSIWYG mode on my JSF pages.
    I had installed (initially) in C:\oracle\Middleware Jdev 11.1.1.1 with WLS 10.3 (default in Installer)
    A couple days ago I realized about the new Jdev release JDev 11.1.1.2 and I decided to migrate because of the IDE improvements such as Bugs Solutions, Maven support, code templates, etc).
    The new version seemed to be non-compatible with WLS 10.3 because I couldn’t mount it in the same middleware so I installed the new one in C:\oracle\Middleware11g2, JDev 11.1.1.2 with WLS 10.3.1 (default in Installer).
    EXAMPLE
    I have created a new sample Project named JDev112App, it only has 1 java class, 1 ADF template and 1 JSPx to show the errors and differences between releases of the IDE… However, I also have added the screenshots of the Project in each IDE, also I have included a screenshot of my real project (Business App).
    NOTE. Business APP project is under subversion SVN and the migration was done successfully when JDEv 11.1.1.2 opened it (it migrated automatically).
    What should I do?? .. thanks

    I think that the problem could be preferences/settings migration from Jdev 11.1.1.1.0 to JDev 11.1.1.2.0, because I migrated not only the application but also the JDev preferences ( "Documents&Settings...Jdeveloper..." ).
    I have installed in a new machine without previous version of Jdev the new release JDev 11.1.1.2.0 and when I deploy my test application with errors ( showed in this post ), it works fine and also the design view is correct.
    I am not SURE but I think the bug or problem could be also the preference/settings migration between JdeveloperS.
    Can anybody tell me the real reason?? How can I fix it ... I don’t want to import each of my settings manually in JDev 11.1.1.2.0 ( I mean templates, javadocs settings, connections, repositories, etc).
    Thanks in advance for your help,
