Problem Creating Air File in DW CS5

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a AIR file with DW CS5 and I'm getting this error:
While executing onClick in AIRSettings.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 526 of file "C:\Documents and Settings\Untangle\Dati applicazioni\Adobe\Adobe Dreamwaver CS5\it_IT\Configuration\Shared\AdobeAIR\scripts\AIRUtilsClass.js": children[i].tagName has no properties.
Any advice?

I've solved the problem myself.
I've deleted the application.xml file created in previous tests than regenerated it by the DW interface.

  • Problem creating air file with missing icon files

Ok, I am trying to create an air file, and getting some errors.
First, I am trying to create the air file using:
    C:\IBM\...\air\notifier>C:\air\sdk\bin\adt -package -storetype pkcs12 -keystore ../vl.pfx vl.air application.xml
My application.xml file for the icons appears as:
    <icon>
    <image128x128>resources/icons/vl128.png</image128x128>
    <image48x48>resources/icons/vl48.png</image48x48>
    <image32x32>resources/icons/vl32.png</image32x32>
    <image16x16>resources/icons/vl16.png</image16x16>
    </icon>
The file paths are configured as:
    air/notifier
         application.xml
         main.html
    air/resources/icons
         vl128.png
         vl16.png
         vl32.png
         vl48.png
    I get the following error:
C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(19): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive128.png is missing from package
C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(20): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive48.png is missing from package
C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(21): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive32.png is missing from package
C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(22): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive16.png is missing from package
I tried using the -C command to include ../resources/icons/. - but still get the error, can anyone provide any assistance as to how I can make the .air file?
    Thank you,
    JJ

Another thing I learned is that you might have the icon file embeded in the application somewhere and that removes it from the include in AIR package screen. That shows the same 303 error. See more detalis here : http://spy6.blogspot.com/2009/10/error-creating-air-file-303error-some.html

Since this was working now it is not I'm looking for a direction.

    Hey Karthik,
First of all, are you using ECLIPSE? What is your development
Environment. I had run into same issue, after hours of trying
different things, I installed the FLEX BUILDER and was able to
create the application without any issues. I have also noticed that
FLEX BUILDER works more smoothly than Eclipse and since then I have
    been developing within FB.
    Thanks.

  • Error creating AIR file

When I try to Publish to AIR file,
    Error Creating AIR file.
The swf file specified as root content is missing.
    error is shown.
When I run the Publish Project from the Project Panel in Flash CS4,
The same error as earlier is obtained:
    Error Creating AIR file.
The swf file specified as root content is missing.
    and:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.filesystem::File could not be found.
        at global$init()
my application has a TextArea control in the library added to stage via actionscript (2 textarea instances).
2 folders in applicationStorageDrectory with a database in one.The other folder will get populated with files at runtime only.
    Am I missing some thing?
    Please help me.

    I solved it.
I changed the .fla to a new folder and things works fine.
The reason I suppose is with the project settings in the project panel in flash.
So this time didn't add any project to the project panel.
    Thank You.

  • I am having problems creating PDF file and downloading them

I am having problems creating PDF file and downloading them

    Hi Randy Keil,
You might need to sign up with your Adobe ID and password at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf"
Then you can choose the desired files to create the PDF.
Now, let me know what error message do you get while doing the same.
What kind of files are you trying to convert to PDF?
Have you checked with your internet connection and tried using a different browser?
    Hope to get your response.
    Regards,
    Anubha

  • Error creating AIR file: 105:ERROR, application.installFolder

I renamed my project and can not create release build.
would be nice to what I did that broke it.
here is the Error message during the Export Release Build:
Error creating AIR file: 105: ERROR,
    application.installFolder
also, when I close flex builder then try to reopen it, my
    default workspace is busy..
oops.. I had messed with the default install folder and had
dropped in a C:\Program Files\... which it should only be a sub as
air defaults already to C:\Program Files\<filename> or on mac
    \Applications\<filename>.app
    <installFolder>subfolder/subsubfolder</installFolder>

It's not uncommong while editing your app.xml file... that one can leave stray < or >. Check to make sure the file is valid and that any included references (like icons) aren't missing or in the wrong location.

  • Commands\Create AIR File\Preview not working in Fireworks CS4

I am working on a LYNDA training video for Fireworks CS4 and am trying to Preview one of the exercises as instructed. If I click on Preview in the Create AIR File dialog box, nothing happens. Any thoughts on why this isn't working? Thank you.

    Hi Jim!
Nice to speak to you, it's actually your video I'm following on
    Lynda.com.
I am not getting an error message, no, nothing happens though. I
installed the Adobe AIR application on Monday and was given a message
that it was successfully installed, so I imagine I do have the latest.
(I'm not sure where I actually find the application on my system
though so don't know how to check that.)
    I am on OS 10.5.8.
I was actually on the Exercise 6.7 (Creating AIR Prototypes
\Troubleshooting) where it instructs you to go to Commands\Create AIR
File and click on Preview in the dialog box -- so I was using your
file supplied in the folder. Let me know if you want me to send you
    anything.
    Thank you!

  • Error creating AIR file: Unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer.

Hi, My boss got a certificate from Thawte, and I'm getting this error message when building my AIR app.
Error creating AIR file: Unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer.
    I'm on windows XP.
    thanks,
    steve

To manage your code signing certificate, please see
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/signing_air_applications_print.html
The error you are seeing is typically caused by exporting a cert without the trust chain.   On Windows, in IE, you can manage your keystore by going to
Internet Options > Content > Certificates
When you export the certificate needed for signing your app, be sure to check “Include all certificates in the certificate path, if possible”.

I think you should check that the FTP download is configured right in
your client/web browser and you have no firewall problems. The file
    unzips just fine here.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro - Batch Create Multiple Files from InDesign CS5 files

When attempting to batch create PDFs from Indesign CS5 files using Acrobat Pro 9's File>Create PDF>Batch Create Multiple Files ... option the operation fails with the error 'Could not find the application that created this file: [path to file] Please select a file created by an application that resides on your computer.' as shown in the screenshot below:
Acrobat 9 Professional was bundled with Creative Suite 5 Design Standard so shouldn't this work? My machine is running OS X 10.6.7, Acrobat Pro 9.44 and InDesign CS5 7.04.
Any help to solve this issue would be most gratefully received - this feature had previously saved me a lot of time on my old machine with 10.5.8, Acrobat Pro 9 and CS4.

The first file is the problem file.  If you create this file separately, Acrobat will convert it perfectly.  But "Batch create multiple files" and the graphics are deconstructed on page 8

  • Font issue occurs when creating pdf file from Illustrator CS5.

I have some design files which are created in Illustrator CS5 and I made them as a pdf file using InDesign CS5 while I open the pdf file in Acrobat Pro 9  I have no issue with the file but my client is using Acrobat Pro 7 while they open the pdf file in Acrobat pro 7 junk characters(rectangular boxes) are appearing in it. Can anyone please look in to this and confirm is this a version bug or something else? It would be much appreciated if some give any idea to get rid of this issue.

Aside from the PDF version, but to follow-up to what David is getting at, you are likelythe fonts are not embedding. Because they reside on your system you see the PDF as it should be. Your client likely does not have the fonts installed.
Make sure your ID export of the document is including the fonts. If that still does not work, check to make certain the fonts you are using allow them to be embedded.
If all else fails, seeing how this PDF is for client review (I assume) have the PDF settings set to convert type to outlines. This gets you past the current dilemma as you figure out the cause.
    Take care, Mike

  • Problem Creating PDF Files from Excel 2007

I am running WinXP SP2, Office 2007, and Acrobat v8.1.2. I have an Excel workbook with multiple worksheets. When I was using Excel 2003 I could create a PDF file using five of the six worksheets. Since upgrading to Office 2007 I am unable to create PDF files from Excel. I can create PDF files from Word 2007. When I attempt to use the Acrobat Plug-in to create a PDF I get a message saying the file needs to be saved first. It then attempts to save the file to a strange, somewhat random, file name (e.g. A234G53). When I say OK Excel just hangs and is unresponsive. The way that I can clear it is to stop Excel using Task Manager. I have tried reinstalling Acrobat without successfully solving the problem. Any ideas on how I can diagnose and/or solve the problem?
    Thanks.

Is your Excel file on a location outside your machine's disk? If so, try copying to local disk.
Does the Excel file have any protection applied to it? If so, try removing the protection
If these don't work, can you post a sample file that demonstrates the problem.

  • Cannot create air file because certification has expired.

I followed this tutorial and got problem with certification has expired.
So, I looked up in Air forum and found http://forums.adobe.com/message/2320586#2320586 which is the same problem I met. Unfortunately, it've not been solved.
I am looking forward to your suggestion.

    Thank tzeng.
Your suggestion is very useful. I changed datetime format to English( United States) and everything go as epected.
Now, I can make air file.
