Problem creating connnection pool - SQL Server 2000

Server - Weblogic 6.1
I am trying to create a connection pool for MSSQL Server 2000.
Using Administration Concole I entered the following information:
Name : MSSQLCP
URL: jdbc:weblogic:mssqlserver4
Driver ClassName: weblogic.jdbc.mssqlsvr4.Driver
Properties: user=sa
db=pubs
password=
No password.
I targeted my server.
I created a data Source for this pool and targeted my serevr.
When I start my server I get the following error:
<Error> <JDBC> <Cannot startup connection pool "MSSQLCP" Cannot load driver class:
weblogic.jdbc.mssqlsvr4.Driver>

Am I missing something? What I am doing wrong?

I am unsuccessfully trying to use a database connnection retrieved from a pool configured using Java System Web Server 6.1 with the SQL Server 2000 JDBC Driver.

In order to set up the JDBC Connection Pool I have done the following...
1. I have created a web.xml file for the web-app which contains the JSP and includes the following entry

3. I have used the "JDBC Resources" link under the "Java" tab in the Administration GUI to create a JNDI resource.

"Status" is "true"
"Pool Name" is "devjwscp"

CategoryID have problem. Check data in source system and check data type for CategoryID in BW sys.
It could be care as CategoryID having some alphabets and while creating info objects in sys you make data type as Number.

*** URGENT *** Problems Connecting to MS SQL Server 2000

I'm rather new to SQL Server and whenever I try to connect to my tables in SQL Servers through jdbc-odbc bridge and ODBC DSN it's Ok. BUT when I try the Microsoft or Merant driver I get log in problem. The server requires a trusted connection and won't accept my username/password. Please help out of misery. I read through some documentation and it mentioned setting up application roles, but I can't get it working. Those expert on the subject please provide a sample connection url, mine is:

The problem could be caused by one of two things.
The first reason could be that the 'Administrator' user is not set up with a SQL Server only password.
Another possible reason is that SQL Server is not setup to use SQL Server passwords, only Windows NT Authentication.
Open Enterprise Manager, expand your database and select users. Check the properties of the 'Administrator' user and make sure that it is set with SQL Server password. Also, check the properties of the SQL Server instance - right click on the SQL Server name, select properties and select the security tab. Make sure that SQL Server and Windows NT is selected and not just Windows NT.

After googling around I ended up with this bit of SQLsp_addlogin @loginame='cms',@passwd='cms',@defdb='cms';
USE cms;
sp_grantdbaccess @loginame='cms',@name_in_db='cms';
sp_addrolemember @rolename='db_owner',@membername='cms'
GRANT ALL TO cms;I've already created a user (admin) to log on as in order to create this user. The script creates the user and grants the role 'db_owner' but under the MASTER db instead of CMS. The only thing I can see missing is a "GO" after the "USE cms", but then this is not allowed over JDBC.
Can anyone tell me how to create a user in the right db?

MS SQL Server 2000 connectivity problems

I'm having problems connecting my application to MS SQL Server 2000. I am making a desktop application that is going to read and update a database I have created in MS SQL Server 2000. The problem is I cannot connect to the database from the application. Here are the details:
I have only created a GUI for one table so far. I have created one other class that is used for connecting to the database.
The GUI class is called Products.java and I have created it in Netbeans. The other class is called ConnectClass.java. In the constructor of the Products.java (GUI class), I instantiate an object of ConnectClass. That object in turn tries to establish a connection to the database. Here is the code of the constructor of the Products.java class (GUI class).

and the driver was finally detected but then the program would not connect to the database.Did you configure the server properly. Per default it is not configured to accept network connections.
I tried jtds driver too. I was so frustrated that I installed MySQL instead. Put the jar file in jre/lib/ext folder and then gave the URL and to my relief the database connected. Maybe there are some settings that need to be configured in MS SQL before it can connect. But I could not get it to connect :(The manual would contain that info, btw.

Problem Using JSQL level 4 driver for SQL Server 2000

You need to switch SQL server to just use SQL Server authentication or both. The problem is that it is looking for a Windows NT account for nakhter with the password java. We get this all the time on new SQL Server installs if you just take the defaults.

Service market place has given the driver as "JDBC Driver for MS SQL Server (Version 3.70.10)", is there a way to find out if it is for 2000 or 2005?

Creating a connection pool using SQL Server 2000, Sun ONE Application Serve

Has any one succesfully configured SQL Server 2000 to work with Sun ONE Application Server 7 on Windows 2000 server service pack 4? I am embarking on a new J2EE project and I need to configure it as soon as possible.
The problem I am having is that, when I ping the data souce name, there is a connection error.
I have set the data source name and other details as follows:
Under JDBC, I have set the parameters for the connection pool as follows:
Data Source Name:      com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
Database Name:          jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://localhost:1433;DatabaseName=Test
User:               test
Password:          test
In the JVM settings page, I have set the prefix class path as follows for the location of the Microsoft JDBC
drivers that I downloaded as follows:
c:\microsoft\drivers/lib/msbase.jar
c:\microsoft\drivers/lib/msutil.jar
c:\microsoft\drivers/lib/mssqlserver.jar
Under JVM Options, there is a strange setting which I don't understand: perhaps this is the cause of the
connction error?

Trying to setup AS7 JDBC and followed the instructions on the link you provided and get the following exception. I kept the case the same, thinking 'setpassword" was incorrect, so I tried changing the property to "Password", but get the same exception but it points to "setPassword" instead.

Cant create connection Pool for MS SQL Server 2000 with Microsoft Driver

i am using bea weblogic server 6.1, i cant create connection pool while using MS
SQL Server 2000. i have installed JDBC Driver SAP1 from microsoft website. when
i give the following class name for JDBC driver and the connection url and click
apply while selecting the available server, a number of exception appears in default
server (that is the connection pool cannot be created..... cannot load the driver
class).

when i use the above setting in a JDBC simple application in Jbuilder
7.0 the application runs successfully and fetches the data deom MS SQL database
but in at Bea connection Pool is not created with these settings. i do give appropriate
username and password in properties field in connection pool. Thankx for any help!

cp *.jar D:\microsoft_jdbc_driver
Then make the classpath include D:\microsoft_jdbc_driver\msbase.jar etc.

Basic Deployment problem, SQL Server 2000 and wanna create setup

I have just finished making a small app using Java and using JDBC driver to connect to an SQL Server 2000 that is installed on my PC.
I now want to create a setup (using NSIS) of this app and distribute among friends. But my problem is that I have created the database on my PC on the SQL Server 2000. Do all the people who want to use my app have to have Sql Server 2000 installed ?? How do they get the data from the database if they dont have Sql Server installed??
I really havent tried much of apps that use databases...soo dont know much, but then any help would be appreciated!!

They have to connect to an instance of SQL Server 2000 that has the database and schema that your app requires, so the host machine has to be visible in their network, with SQL Server installed, listening on the port in your URL connection string (default is 1433), with a username and password that you've set up for a user with the appropriate permissions GRANTed.
As you can see, it's not trivial.
If all the people you're distributing the program to can see your machine's IP address, they can simply connect to your database.
If not, you should provide all the scripts necessary to create the database and create the tables, set up the permissions, and populate the data.

Wath is the correct adress in the URL?
I select the Driver: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver and the URL: *jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://<host>:<port>;SelectMethod=cursor[;<property>=<value>...]*

* mssqlserver.jar
* msbase.jar
JDBC Driver is:
com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
JDBC URL is:
jdbc:sqlserver://serverName\instance:port;property=value[;property=value]
Example,
jdbc:sqlserver://myHost:1433;selectMethod=cursor;databaseName=myDB

Problem in Loading Data from SQL Server 2000 to Oracle 10g

I am a university student and using ODI for my final project on real-time data warehousing. I am trying to load data from MS SQL Server 2000 into Oracle 10g target table. Everything goes fine until I execute the interface for the initial load. When I choose the CKM Oracle(Create unique index on the I$ table) km, the following step fails:

I am using a surrogate key column in my target table alongwith the natural key. The natural key is populated by the primary key of my source table, but for the surrogate key, I have created a sequence in my oracle schema where the target table exists and have used the following code for mapping:

I have chosen to execute this code on target.
Among my attempts to solve this problem was to set Create Index option of the CKM Oracle(Create Index for the I$ Table) to No so that it wont create any index on the flow table. I also tried to use the simple CKM Oracle km . Both solutions allowed the interface to execute successfully without any errors, but the data was not loaded into the target table.
When I right-click on the Prj_Dim_Region data store and choose Data, it shows empty. Pressing the SQL button in this data store shows a dialog box " New Query" where I see this query:

I have one Oracle data model with 19 source tables and one SQL Server data model with 10 target tables. I have created 10 interfaces which use JournalizedDataOnly on one of the tables in the interface; e.g in interface for DimCustomer target table, I have 2 tables, namely Customer and Address, but the journalizing filter appear only on Customer table and this option is disabled for Address automatically.
Now I want to create a package using OdiWaitForLog event detection. Is it possible to put all these 10 interfaces in just one package to populate the target tables? It works fine when I have only one interface and I use the name of one table in the interface for Table Name parameter of OdiWaitForLogData event, but when I try a comma seperated list of table names[Customer, Address] this error happens
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
and if I use this method <%=odiRef.getObjectName("L","model_code","logical_schema","D")%>, I get this error

Please let me know how to make it work?

Problem of Teststand3.1 database and microsoft SQL Server 2000 personal edition

I have a problem when using teststand database function with Microsoft sql server 2000. the error(seen in attached screenshot3.jpg) is:

The database function is OK now after I changed imported tables in SQL Sever.
Actually, I once tried anothor method that you refered by using the scripts
located at: <TestStand>\Components\NI\Models\TestStandModels\Database\SQL Server Create Generic Recordset Result Tables.sql. Attached is the error screenshots, please help me on this.
