Hi,
As the log described, there is an inconsistency of the Virtual Interafce between the WS you want to deploy and the one that is deployed on the server.
If you're sure that that your WS is correct, undeploy the other WS first (but be sure that there wouldn't be any dependicies of the old WS in any
applications, destinations, ... if yes check first if they will work with the new VI). As I remember that problem occurs if there are references to the WS that
couldn't be handled by SDM.

Daniel

  • Problem deploying web service with the deploy tool (J2EE)

    Hello,
    I am trying to deploy a sample Web Service on the Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8.1 2005Q1.
    I run into a deployment problem ("jaxrpc compilation exception") when I have one of the web methods declared (in the endpoint interface) to throw a service-specific exception. The problem disappears when I change the declaration to throw an Exception.
    Here is the exception class:
    public class StockNotFoundException extends Exception {
    private String message;
    public StockNotFoundException(String message) {
    super(message);
    this.message = message;
    public String getMessage() {
    return message;
    the endpoint interface:
    public interface StockServiceIF extends Remote {
    // the service methods
    public boolean sellStocks(String ticker, int quantity)
    throws RemoteException, StockNotFoundException;
    and here are the error messages I am seeing:

  • Problem deploying web service to OAS 10.1.2.3

    Hello!
    I'm having an issue deploying a web service to Oracle Application Server (OAS) 10.1.2.3.
    I completed the tutorial to create a web service here:
    Link: [http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/10131/devdepandmanagingws/devdepandmanagingws.htm]
    However, the tutorial only utilizes the local embedded OAS (10.1.3.3.0).
    So far I made the following change in my web.xml file:
    (now using):
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">
    <web-app>
    (generated, now commented out):
    <!--<web-app xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd"
    version="2.4">-->
    I then packaged the application as WAR file. I also tried a EAR file. I am able to deploy okay to the server, but I cannot find my web service.
    Can someone please help me determine what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

    Trying a J2EE 1.4 sample for a J2EE 1.3 environment is quite difficult, J2EE 1.3 doesn't support WebServices out of the box.
    On the other hand it is not quite easy to find the 10.1.2.x samples... Either upgrade your OC4J to 10.1.3 or try these samples: http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/codesnippet/webservices/index.html

  • Problem Deploying Web Services

    I have created a Web Service based on a pl/sql function in my database. I used the JDeveloper (10.1.3.2.0) wizard to created the web service. I used the J2EE 1.4 (JAX-RPC) Web Service wizard. The web service works fine when I access it using the OC4J container built into JDeveloper. When I deploy the Web Service to our Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 on Solaris I receive the following error when I try to access the Web Service:
    Servlet error: Error instantiating servlet 'ticketwsSoapHttpPort' (servlet class not found, make sure it exists at /u01/app/oracle/midtier/j2ee/OC4J_APPS/applications/ticketws_jax/ticketws_jax/WEB-INF/classes/ticket/TicketwsUser.class, in a jar in /u01/app/oracle/midtier/j2ee/OC4J_APPS/applications/ticketws_jax/ticketws_jax/WEB-INF/lib/, in an orion-web.xml specified classpath or global server classpath)
    I checked both paths mentioned in the error message on the server. All files seemed to be there.
    Any insight into this issue would be much appreciated.

    Hi user493481,
    I have developed a PL/SQL Web Service using JDeveloper, it is working fine on local instance, time to deloy on Application Server (Apps 11.5.10.2),
    could you post the deploying steps...
    Thanks in advance,
    Rao.

  • Problem with Web Service Deployment

    Ugh...today is not a good day.  Has anyone seen something similar to this error when deploying web services?
    List Folder in Recursive File List.vi->NI Web Service Debug.lvlib:Zip Static Docs.vi->NI Web Service Debug.lvlibtart_WS_RTDebug.vi->NI Web Service Debug.lvlibtart_WS_RTDebug.vi.ProxyCaller<APPEND>
    C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-18
    This is totally preventing deployment and I can't decipher where to start with fixing this.
    Thanks, Matt

    Thanks, Mike.  What I ended up doing was destroying the existing Web Service and rebuilding the service.  And this worked (obviously).
    But the fact remains that there was no obvious way to recover from this.  I had initially tried to just delete the Public folder from the project and then re-add it, but to no avail.  The message was cryptic (as all deployment error messages tend to be) and exposed some black magic going on in the background (I have no idea where the List Folder Recursive File List.vi or any of those objects in the message come in - they are not called directly by me nor are they in the dependencies).  Without a clear description from NI of what is happening when you deploy a service such as this, I fear that there is no way to address the problem in a timely manner (I don't want to work on something for hours on end that worked and then with one click seemingly didn't work).
    But, this tends to be the way things go with large RT projects....
    Cheers, Matt

  • How to deploy web service as part of console.war

    Hello,
    I need to expose the deploy functionality of bpel console as web service. I see that there is a JSP page which pretty much does the same thing in console.war. So I know what my Java class is going to look like the problem is I am very new to OC4J so I don't know how to deploy it as web service on this container. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    I tried going through the tutorial on deploying web services on OC4J but the sample stateless class does not compile because it cannot find some proxy classes. Also next I copied ws_example.ear in 'D:\OraBPEL_1\bpel\system\appserver\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications' and restarted server but it is not deployed.
    Thank you,
    Meghana

    Thank you for replying to my post.
    The requirement is that we deploy BPEL suitcase remotely. My impression was that one can get handle to the Locator object only if running on local machine so I was looking at how to create web service on Oracle BPEL PM itself that will accept the stream of jar and deploy it locally.
    However now looking at this tutorial and the Java docs, I know it supports RMI calls. So I can use this constructor to get Locator instance -
    public Locator(java.lang.String domainId,
    java.lang.String password,
    java.util.Hashtable pInitialContextProperties)
    throws ServerException
    Can you let me know sample initial context properties? I checked the sample InvokingProcesses' context.properties
    orabpel.platform=oc4j_10g
    java.naming.factory.initial=com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
    java.naming.provider.url=ormi://ca-guru/orabpel
    java.naming.security.principal=default
    java.naming.security.credentials=welcome1
    My guess is I have to change that url but I don't know where to point it. Also could you please let me know what are the jars I will need on the client side?
    Thank you. I appreciate your help.

  • Deploy web service on xp embedded

    Hi all
    I've trouble to run a web service on a xp embedded system. The web service is working fine in my development environment LV 2011 and I've created an installer for my main application there the lvws file is included as described in web services FAQ:
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7747#toc12
    After installation on the target machine I can't access the web service. Also if calling localhost:3580 then I get an Access Error.
    But in the administrative tools of the system control panel I can see that the NI System Web Server as well the NI Application Web Server are started.
    For further investigation I've added the "Distributed System Manager" to my installer. With this tool I can see all my deployed web services on my development system but on the XP embedded target system with RTE nothing is listed.
    I've installed my application to a reference system running XP professional to exclude that the problem is caused by XP embedded. But the behavior is exactly the same. Till now I've tested only local so the system security settings as firewall and ports should be no problem. But to be sure I've deactivated the firewall with no success again... I can't access the webservice. I've found often the suggestions in the forum to check whether the web service is enabled. But I fail already then accessing http://localhost:3580.
    Any Ideas???
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    that help document is somewhat outdated.
    You are seeing 2 different problems: 1) you cannot view the Web Monitoring and Configuration utility using localhost:3580  2) Your web service did not get installed.
    For the first issue -->
    You most likely did not include the "NI Web Interface Framework 2011" in your installer.  The help doc you mentioned does not tell you to do this, as it's not required for your web service to work. However, if you want to change any of your web server settings after install, you will need this additional installer.
    For the second issue -->
    You most likely did not include your Web Service Build Spec as a source file in your installer.  The help doc says to put your LVWS file as your installer source, but that is not correct. You need to include the actual web service build spec item as a source file (not the web service build spec's output files, like LVWS).
    Let me know if either of these helps you out.

  • Deploy Web Service on Forms OC4J

    Dear All,
    Is it possible to deploy web service created in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.5.0 (uses plsql package) on OC4J which is part of Oracle Forms 10g (10.1.2)?
    I have read notes about deploying on OAS but cannot find any document which answers my question.
    Please help.
    Sincerely,
    Givi

    Actually, it sounds like your deployment worked fine ... the message:
    "Sorry, I don't speak via HTTP GET- you have to use HTTP POST to talk to me."
    is the message that comes up in Oracle9iAS 9.0.2 at a Web service endpoint. Add a ?WSDL to the URL and you should get the WSDL for the Web service. Add a ?proxy_source to the URL and you should be able to download a client to the Web service.
    Check out this tutorial at step 24 (http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/series/plsql/content.html) and you will see how the endpoint URL generates a more satisfying Web service home page in Oracle9iAS 9.0.3 versus the cryptic, but valid message in 9.0.2.
    As for your deployment, the use of admin.jar for deployment only works on stand-alone OC4J's versus real full installations of Oracle9iAS - this is why the Enterprise Manager interface you used worked but the admin.jar did not. There is also a command line interface for Oracle9iAS called DCM which you can read about at:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/A97329_03/core.902/a92171/dcm.htm#620714
    that gives similar functionality. The reason that admin.jar does not work is that DCM and OEM solve a bigger problem in that they also support deployment to and configuration of a clustered environment so have that extra functionality built in.
    Hope this answers your questions and gets you going.
    Mike.

  • How to deploy web service/client on websphere

    Hi,
    I have developed a web service client on Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 and I deployed it on the embeded OC4J and OAS and it worked fine. BUT when I packaged it as EAR file and deployed it on websphere 6.0 {the production enviroment at the client side} It gave me NoClassForService00.
    And in websphere application server it didn't recognize it as Web service client.
    Any one faced this problem b4. PLZ advice.
    Thnx

    Hi Amol,
    Thank you very much for replying my question. The contents in my application.xml are:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application 1.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/application_1_3.dtd">

    <context-root>testws</context-root>
    </web>
    <alt-dd>testws_War.xml</alt-dd>
    </module>
    </application>
    The contents in jaxrpc-ri-runtime.xml are:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <endpoints xmlns='http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jax-rpc/ri/runtime' version='1.0'>

    tie='contactws.testwsGenServer.testwsRPC_Tie'
    model='null'

    service='{urn:testws/wsdl}Testws'
    port='{urn:testws/wsdl}testwsRPCPort'
    urlpattern='/testws'
    </endpoint></endpoints>
    I tried to access and check the web service using:
    http://servername:port/testws/testws
    The first testws is contextroot named and the second testws is url pattern, which was exactly like what you mentioned but I got "404 Not Found" error.
    By the way, using the same ear to deploy to Windows Sun ONE App. Server 7 env. and then using the same url, I can access the web service. I am wondering if there is any special for deploying Web Service on Unix Sun ONE app. Server 7 env. or I missed something?
    I hope I can hear from you soon.
    Thank you again,

  • To launch Oracle BPM deployed Web Services [In BPM Enterprise]

    Hi all,
    I have expose my Process Instance into Web Services in Studio.
    It is working well. In Studio, I start the Engine (Run -> Start Engine),
    Then, I Start the Web Services (Run -> Launch deployed Web Services webapps).
    It would show me my local webservice links.
    http://localhost:9000/albpmServices/<ProjectName>/ws
    But, I unable to launch this Web Service Webapps, when i deploy the project into Oracle BPM Enterprise with Weblogic Server.
    May know what is the link for BPM Enterprise?
    Regards,
    Chris

    My URL is:-
    http://localhost:9000/albpmServices/TestProject/ws/TestProcessServiceListener?wsdl=true
    and it does not seem to open the WSDL when I start the enterprise server engine..
    I have the process exposed as a web-service with two methods..
    One for Process Creation and another for Notification Wait Activity...
    I have also checked the box to start PAPI WS Services on my standalone server
    Is there some other config that I need to make inside my standalone server to get this WSDL?
    I understand that standalone works on Tomcat...

    Hi,
    since I did not find that BAPI in my system: what is the exact name?
    Did you test the BAPI directly in ABAP, i.e. function builder SE37, successfully?
    Currently it looks to me as if you did not provide sufficient business data.
    Did you specify the employee number before executing the call?

  • How to deploy web service in EP

    Hi Gurus!!!
    I am trying to connect GRC to EP. GRC system is trying to reach EP via a web service but it is giving connection failed. But it is not giving any error.
    I have a feeling that web service is not published. Somehow I published web service in EP in VA tool. But still issue is not resolved. Can any one guide me with steps to deploy web service in EP so that external systems can reach EP via web service.
    Thanks in advance,

    Sandeep check if your web service requires any authentication...
    then you would need to set the same in Visual administrator...........
    refer below article....
    it is not the exact scenario as of yours....but still you might get some hint............

  • Can Jdeveloper 10.1.3 deploy web service on OC4J 10.1.2?

    Hi all,
    Can I use jdeveloper 10.1.3 develop, and deploy web service on OC4J 10.1.2? My jdk version is 1.4.2. Thanks in advance.

    We don't have a direct connection from JDev 10.1.3 to OC4J 10.1.2 - we do have a connection to OAS 10.1.2.
    If you want to deploy to a stand alone OC4J 10.1.2 then just create the WAR file in JDeveloper - and then use the OC4J admin interface to deploy the WAR.
