Problem displaying c:out values in c:foreach loop
Hi,
I am having difficulty displaying the VO values within the c:out portion of my JSP page. I am using a DAO, ProcessAction (portal) and JSP to display the data. The JSP is displaying the hard coded 'A', so the loop is working, however, the actual values are not being displayed.
Any feedback much appreciated :)
I have been stuck on this for over a day...and anybody?! Thanks!!

You seem to be mixing up the various versions of JSTL.
Functions are only supported in JSTL1.1.
What server are you using?
If it is a JSP2.0 container you should be using JSTL1.1
If it is not, then you can't use the fn libraries.

In your User bean you have an attribute called as ID, which will have get & set method like getId() and setId().
I will suggest rename this attribute such that it will have first minimum 3 letters in small case like intId or strId, then change the get/set method respectively like getStrId() or getIntId().
This is a problem with java reflection that when you have attribute which will have 1 or 2 chars in the start of varialbe name, then some time reflection fails to call that methods get-set method.
You change the varaible name and hopefully everything will work fine.

I have added a Cutom Managed Bean Class and Returning boolean value to Control Render property which is working. But now i want to add business Logic based on 'parent.ItemName' or 'parentNode' Values in the bean method to return proper Boolean value.
But i am unable to get the Current Iteration values in the bean method.
I am using below EL expressions to get the values. But no luck.

I have tried that. But in my case the functional logic behind the Rendering is based on more complex logic. Hence i am trying to add a method to return a boolean in Render property of the Link.
But the real problem for me is, in the Managed bean method i am not finding a way to get the Current Iteration index. If i can get the Current iteration index, i can get the Corresponding Component ID of Command link (In the forEach Loop Component Id's are getting generated Dynamically based on Iteration Index), i can use that and add additional logic and derive true/false to return.
Any inputs?

I only want to display each 'PK_EMPL_ID' value once when the select statement is executed, not duplicate values. I have tried distinct, group by etc... but I am having trouble since I am using multiple tables using these foreign keys. Without sample output, the question is still vague.
There are 14 rows in scott.emp.
You can reduce the output to 9 rows by changing "SELECT" to "SELECT *DISTINCT* ":

This is a horrible way to return the contents of a table.
Are you doing this for educational purpose, or ... what is your goal here? If you just want to return a result set to a client you'd want to look in to using a REF CURSOR and not a bunch of arrays combined with horribly procedural (slow) code. -

Problem displaying picture stored in mySQL

I intially loop through a collection of employees display the values within the employee loop I have a select statement that i loop through a collection of programs that has on OnChange. Not to display the null values from data base
Hiiii.
In a jsp file i have ten check boxes.The jsp file is mapped to a servlet file for parameter requesting and to
store it in DB.
The unchecked box values has null values.All the values are store in a Mysql DB table.
Again i have to display it in a jsp page from table.
The problem am facing was,how can i display only the values in a row.it must not display the null values and the crresponding column name.
Or any other way is their like below
How i can retrieve only the selected check boxes from tht jsp file.and store in backend.

Based on the example you have provided you would simply use the String.Substring function to break the string apart ot every 4 characters.

You could do that in a loop that changes the starting character position from 0 in an increment of 4.
However I suspect that won't work properly, either because there are characters that you are not revealing as a result of the way that you are display your results, or because your data gets out of sync.
If your device sends synchronizing characters (such as an end-of-record byte, or perhaps just a CrLf) then the correct process is to append (not overwite) the text you receive. Use a string, not a text box text property, for this buffer. Then you need
to break apart this buffer by scanning forward until you find a complete message - a record identifier and enough (12?) following characters to create a full sentence. Then break it apart using substrings.
If your device data stream does not include something that marks the beginning or end of a complete transmission then you can still try breaking it apart every four characters, and see how reliable it is. -
Need to display the Stock Values at storage location level - 0IC_C03
Hi All,
I am developing Stock Movent Report on 0IC_C03 - Material Stocks/Movements.
I have more than one storage location for plant. Stock quantities are calculating at storage location level and Stock Values are calculating at plant level.
I have no issues with quantities. Only problem with Values.
2LIS_03_UM is not picking the starage location, so that the revaualtion values are falling under unassigned nodes. When i set filter on storage location these values were not showing as they are under un assigned nodes (#).
I want to get the Stock Quantity and Stock Values at Storage location level in my report.
I found that soulution for that is Applying SAP Note : How to Realize summarized display of stock values on storage
I have done development as per the document. But when i run the Query it is going to debug mode first and then it saying This program cannot display the webpage
Can any one faced the same situation, Please help me if so.

Problem displaying CLOB in text file
Hello All,
I have a problem displaying the content from the database in notepad. When I click on a link on my jsf screen, I retrieve the data and display it in notepad.
I have my text content stored in the database with CLOB datatype. When I look in the database the data looks in the following format:

Now when I display this content onto the notepad, all the spaces and new line characters are lost, and the entire display looks awkward. This is how it looks:

All the new line characters are lost and it just puts some junk character in place of a new line.
When I copy the same text onto textpad, everything is alright and it displays exactly the way it is present in the database. I am also open to display the content in html, but in HTML it doesn't even display me the junk character in place of new line. It is just one single string without any line separators.
I am using the following code to put the content into the text.

Thanks.The data is imported from a third party application to my database. It doesn't display any newline characters when I view the data.
But when I do a regular expression search on text pad, I could see that my clob contains \n as the new line character. Is there a way to replace \n with \n\r while writing the data.

27 inch thunderbolt display blacks out after Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.2
Bought 2 new 27 inch TB displays for two different machines and after a couple of days the Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.2 appears on my Mac Pro with one of the displays installed. So I install the firmware update. Now my display blacks out periodically and I keep getting Graphic Display Errors with a request to sent the errors to Apple. Running a 32 GB Mac Pro (late 2013 circular style) I have three monitors connected (two 20 inch cinema displays and the new 27 inch display). This machine is supposed to be able to handle three 4k monitors or 6 standard TB displays. I've seen the posts about the blacking out with this monitor but I didn't have any problems before the firmware update and now I've got them pretty regularly. I had the blacking out problem on an earlier monitor and took one of the monitors back and Apple gave me another one and this is the replacement. Same problem, but this one only started after the update. I'm hoping someone from Apple reads these messages and can let me know what's up.
BTW, I also have an older 27 inch Apple monitor that ran perfectly on this machine so I'm disappointed that I spent all this money and now get the blacking out issue.

Graphics AMD FirePro D300 2048 MBI have my Thunderbolt display connected to my MacBook Pro and have been experiencing the same issue, getting worse over time. The folks at my local Apple store did not know what to do about it. So, I looked around and tried different thing.
The one thing that seems to be working is to System Preferences > Build-in Display > uncheck “Automatically adjust brightness.”

Now i want to get one particular file named "pfile" { Code is
written in development_files.cfm page and kept it in a variable } I
want to display it in #Name# filed. how can i do that ? I am
getting XML Parsing error from javascript .

Nataraj GThe first part is right -
1) drag a text element onto the page, at a location in which you want the variable value to be displayed
2) On the left hand bottom page - go to the web item properties for the text element
3) scroll down to the specific properties for the item - in that uncheck the first two check boxes - display general text elements & display static filter values
4) in the next item in the properties (List of text elements) click once on the box where List is written and then clcik on the small browse button that appears.
5) in the window that opens, in the element type field, select variable/variable value as key (as per your requirement) and then under the element ID field type in the technical name of your variable that you want to display.
click ok and save your template and try executing it.
See if this solves your problem.
