Problem downloading Adobe Flash Player

I'm trying to download Adobe Flash Player and here is my problem.  I go to the site online and click on the icon and then select save as and save to my desktop.  I then close the internet and run the file everything seems ok I see the file downloading and it says successfully installed however; here is the problem the icon that I used to installed Adoble disappears from my desktop and when I try to watch videos, etc. it states that you need Adobe Flash Player.  Can someone tell me what the problem is.

My operating system is Windows 7 64 Bit
Web Browser Internet Explorer 11
I'm having a problem downloading Adobe Flash Player 11
The problem that I'm having is I save Adobe Flash Player to my PC then I
run it.  Everything is ok however, when I try to view any multimedia
nothing will come in: I receive this message you still need to download
Adobe Flash Player.  I have turned off Norton Anti-virus as I thought that
might be the problem but it was not.

  • Problem downloading adobe flash player with windows 7 (64 bits)

i have a computer  acer aspire M5810 working under windows seven (64 bits) but i can not install adobe flash player
i tried everything but no result
is there somewhone who can help me

Hi, You need to be sure to use the 32bit browser in Install Flash Player, as it is not supported yet for the 64bit. You can install FP in a 64bit operating system as you have, but use the 32bit browser which is the default.
Also are you trying to Install Flash Player vs 10.0.45.2 and if so did you run the Adobe Uninstaller first?
    Thanks,

I did have Adobe Flash Player on my computer but something seems to be blocking it. I have tried uninstalling the programme and re
installing but without any joy. It says installed but the pictures that should show to confirm completion do not appear and there is a red cross in

now close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer(s).

    What do I do?

You cannot run Flash on any new mobile device and it was never possible to do so on iOS systems. The closes you can get it to run Flash on a PC or Mac and use remote access software.

    Hi..
Assuming you are using Safari ...
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure to uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin first.
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

The file is gp.xpi I don't have a fully functional Microsoft Explorer browser. I need technical help downloading Adobe Flash Player. I use XP professional operating system. I have a Dell Dimension 8100. Thank you

Don't use the download manager then, use the direct download link for the plugin installer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe

  • Download problem with Adobe Flash Player 11

I downloaded Adobe Flash Player 11 a long time ago, when it first came out; however, every time I need it, I get a window saying I need to download Adobe Flash Player in order to view it. What in the world is happening that it isn't downloaded and there to use. When I download it, I get a FINISH to click on, so it should be there already.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO MAKE IT DOWNLOAD PROPERLY AND BE THERE FOR USE.

Download the following files by right clicking and selecting "Save target as"
    Flash Player Uninstaller
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Save ALL files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT RUN anything yet.
    Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything else, go to your Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove all instances of Flash Player.
    Next, run the ActiveX Installer.
Once Flash Player is installed go to: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp and follow the steps to download the FULL ActiveX installer. (it says "11" but it's really "12")
Once everything is installed, see:Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer  and: ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer  to make 100% sure that Flash Player is enabled and NOT being blocked by ActiveX controls.

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

Hi Terry, A post is the message that anyone has just typed in. When you replied to me, that was your post. I am replying to you so this is my post. Think of it as sending an email or mailing a letter at the "post" office.
Now right at the top of the last post (message) you sent me is a Post#, then the date and time and under that the thread subject "Re: I am trying to download Adobe Flash Player 10 and I keep getting......
The first time that you posted, you described your problem. The next post after that is #1 and so on.
The Adobe Flash Player forum works very much like email except there are a lot of "threads". A thread is what each message you see is called. Everyone that registers can start their own thread (subject). Then other people see it and can post to your thread and try to help you with your problem.
You did pretty good, you registered, and you started your first thread
Now do you feel somewhat more relaxed?  Hope so.
Take a look now and see if you can find the Post# and etc that I described above.
    Thanks,
