Problem downloading webutil DLLs to the client

Hi all,
when a PC has never used the application it will be missing the DLLs for use with webutil
(d2kwut60.dll, jacob.dll, JNIsharedstubs.dll)
our initial screen uses WebUtil and so these 3 files are downloaded as expected
now we start another form (our main form remains open)
then he tries to download again
but that only works for jacob.dll, the other 2 DLLs give this error: WUC-19 : .. cannot write to ... <name of DLL>
...DLL is not downloaded
What he says is true, we can not delete this DLL with windows explorer, file is locked by java
c:\Documents and Settings\MEAAI33\ webutil.WP0606.waak11.properties
contains the following:
# WebUtil File Properties
# Fri April 27 2012 2:37:19 p.m. EDT
syslib.jacob.dll = 1.10
only solution is to manually add remaining 2 DLLs in this file, which really is not an option as we have over 500 PCs
how to fix this ?
Kr
Martin

Hello,
The <FORMS_HOME>/server/webutil.cfg is located on the Application Server, so that you have nothing to download manually on the clients.
FYI, here is what I have in mine (Forms 10.1.2.0):
# Change size and version if necessary, like when upgrading the library.
# Normally this would not be required since most of these libraries come with
# install itself.
install.syslib.0.7.1=jacob.dll|94208|1.0|true
install.syslib.0.9.1=JNIsharedstubs.dll|65582|1.0|true
install.syslib.0.9.2=d2kwut60.dll|192512|1.0|true

  • Problem Downloading a File To The User's PC

    My application is based on the 10.1.2 app server and Oracle Portlets.
    I need to download a file to the user's PC. When the file gets sent to the user I need to have a dialog box open up that asks the user where they want to save the file.
    What I did was to set the Content-Disposition equal to
    "attachment; filename=C:\exportFile.txt"
    and the Content-Type equal to "application/x-download"
    When I do this I receive the error:
    ERROR: Failed to handle HTTP Request
    java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: Media Type of a TextResponseWrapper must start with "text/"
    Has anyone successfully done this in the Portal environment before? Any ideas on a possible solution?
    Thanks

    Try using:
    tell application "Finder"
    set path_2 to quoted form of POSIX path of (folder of (path to me) as alias)
    end tell
    tell application "System Events"
    do shell script "curl 'ftp://user:password@server//www/htdocs/current/l.txt' -o " & path_2 & "l.txt"

    Hi All,
    I also tried the same code.. whenever i am running application from NWDS it is giving ip address of client.
    If i try the same after creating an iview of application in portal and view with mozilla it is giving client ip address.
    if i try with IE with a full portal url (along with port number 50300) it is giving client address. Otherwise(without port number) it is giving server ip address.
    Is it require any other setting in dispatcher?

  • Problems downloading/installing Acrobat from the app manager

    I am getting the following message when attempting to download Acrobat. I do not know why it's no longer installed on my computer, nor why this message pops up:
    Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure. The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit.
    How can this be? I am attempting to install software directly through Adobe- how can it be counterfeit. Any suggested solutions welcome.

  • Problem in receiving packets from the client

    private static boolean isSocketOpen = true;
    public void receivePackets(){

                   byte[] buffer = new byte[IOBConstant.MSG_SIZE];
                   DatagramPacket packet = getDatagramPacket(buffer, buffer.length);
                   packet.setPort(7000);
                   try {
                   packet.setAddress(InetAddress.getLocalHost());
                             if (udpSerSocket.isConnected()) {
                             System.out.println("inside receive");
                             logger.logDebug("listening on port 7000");

                   } catch (IOException ioe) {
                        logger.logError("Error to receive message", ioe);
    The problem is that the receive() method inside the receivePacket() is not working. It is not receiving any packets. If you have any suggestion please let me know.

                   packet.setPort(7000);
                   try {
                   packet.setAddress(InetAddress.getLocalHost());Setting the port number and address on a DatagramPacket you are about to receive into makes no sense. It doesn't do any filtering, if that's what you're expecting. It doesn't do anything at all useful. The IP:port will be overwritten by the sending IP:port when a packet is received.
                             if (udpSerSocket.isConnected()) {Have you connected it?
    >
                             System.out.println("inside receive");Does this display?

  • Cant buy from itunes store, message says there was a problem downloading - the network connection could not be made

    recently changed my PC and successfully exported my itunes library. My problem is that when I now try to buy a song I get a message saying that there was a problem downloading (song) and that the network connection could not be made. Occasionally I get that the itunes store is temporarily unavailable and to try again later. The old PC was running Windows XP and the new one Windows Vista. I have already tried downloading a fresh version of itunes and ticked the repair option. Everything else appears to be working normally. Can anyone help please?

    Still having trouble, the computer is authorized and appears normal in its function. Recently discovered that while it lists items I have purchased on another device it will not let me download to this computer and shows the same message as above. Also noticed that itunes says it is not connected to the internet which cannot be true because the list of previous purchases appears. Any help gratefully appreciated

  • How to deploy the native dll with the applet package by Sun Java Plugin

    I have an applet which use some native methods. I have written code for the native dll, but I don't know how to deploy the DLL with the applet jar file for Sun Java Plugin. What parameter do i should pass to System.loadLibrary()? I think the solution should don't care which browser used by the end client. How to do it? How to deal with the applet security problem?
    Thank for any comment!

    I have a similar problem.
    Trying to use the javax.comm package requires that the user have the win32com.dll located on their machine.
    I have solved the problem by using a signed applet that allows me to write the dll to the clients machine and then run the code but ideally I would like to run the code without writing the dll to the users machine...i.e. I want to load the dll directly through the applet in the same way the class files are loaded forthe applet are loaded without copying them to the clients machine. After trying everything I have come to the conclusion that it is NOT possible. The calls loadLibrary and load both require that the dll reside on the clients machine. If anyone has had a different experience please rebut this.

  • When I connected to FREENX server, the client can see nothing

    I choose UNIX-KDE in my client, but only find a black windows with 1024x768 when connected ,  and when I check the server, I found no KDE running.
    On my client machine I edit the connection,  select  "custom" under the desktop section, and manually specify the command for starting kde. but  that doesn't work eighter .

    I checked this issue with 32 and 64 bit versions, as well as different desktops to connect to (KDE, Gnome, XFCE4). The problem is always the same, so I believe the actual version of freenx is just buggy. Please, whoever maintains freenx, have a look at it. The problem happens with any NX client. I used the new version 3 due to best logging. Again in short:
    - Installation and nxsetup works well
    - Authentification works
    - Downloading session information works
    - The clients last message is: "Established the display connection"
    At this point Nomchines session administrator shows a running session, although no display is showing up. A little later the client terminates with a timeout and following log:
