Problem executing a Java Stored Procedure from Forms6i

I'm executing a Stored Procedure which invokes a Java Stored procedure.Till the invoking it works fine but for accessing a particular class it gives an error:
PDE-PLU022 Don't have access to the stored program unit XMLPARSERCOVER in schema CARE
where care is the schema name....
Please assist me for this...

  • Error while executing java stored procedure from a pl/sql procedure

    We have a requirement where we need to execute JAVA code stored in an Oracle database (Java Stored Procedure). This code uses some JAR files which we have already loaded without any errors in the database.
    The class file was also loaded in the database without any errors. But when we execute the method of this class (JAVA code), it gives the following error:
    ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    Is there any way of debugging the code and getting to know where exactly the problem is? Or, any tool/software available for doing the same.
    Any pointers would be of great help!
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Uday,
    My guess is that there is a problem with your java stored procedure that is causing the "ExceptionInInitializer" error to be thrown. According to the javadoc:
    is thrown to indicate that an exception occurred during
    evaluation of a static initializer or
    the initializer for a static variable
    Since I didn't see any of your code in your post, I can't help you much more, I'm afraid. Perhaps if you would provide some more details, I may be able to help you some more. I think the following details would be helpful:
    1. Complete error message and stack trace you are getting.
    2. The section of your java code that you think is causing the problem.
    3. Oracle database version you are using.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Problem in calling Oracle stored procedure from Java.

    I am trying to invoke the Oracle stored procedure from Java. The procedure does not take any parameters and does not return anything. If I call it from SQL prompt it is working perfectly. I am calling it in my program as follows.
    callable_stmt=con.prepareCall("{call pkg_name.proc_name()}");
    callable_stmt.execute();
    The problem is the control-of-flow is getting strucked in the second line I wrote. It is not giving any error also.
    Please clarify me what's wrong with my code?

    And how long does the stored procedure take to run from your client machine when running it via sqlplus?

  • Error while executing a stored procedure from forms6i

    When I execute a STORED PROCEDURE from ORACLE DB 10g this procedure works perfectly fine.
    But when I execute the same from the FORMs 6i I get the following error:
    PDE-PLU022 Don't have access to the stored program unit
    XMLPARSERCOVER in schema CARE.
    where XMLPARSERCOVER is the class and
    CARE is the schema.
    Regards,
    Jignesh S

    I have tried this with both the owner of the schema and the intended user, -from both forms and directly.
    All rights was granted on the stored procedure. Since posting I have found that one of the tables that the procedure might insert into, was not explicitly granted to the intended user, and after rectifying that the error message went away.
    -however, the procedure now silently "finishes" without any evidence that it ever ran, if invoked from the forms application. When invoked from SQL Plus (or JDev, or Toad) it runs as expected.
    I have no public synonym for the procedure, -is that necessary?
    The stored procedure in question is implemented in java, and published as a stored procedure. It does rather heavy lifting, when running, using a view against another server , updating local tables and quite a lot of data validation/cleansing, and logging. All recourses are within the same schema.
    Any ideas?

    I had a similar issue, the reason for that was picking the incorrect partner link.
    Make sure the name of the selected partner link in the invoke output variable is matching with the Assign, in you case lets say you mapped the
    Invoke
    output variable is invoke_1_CallStoredProcedure_OutputVariable ( not nvoke_1_CallStoredProcedure_OutputVariable_1)
    From
    <Invoke_1_CallStoredProcedure_OutputVariable>
    <LF_STATUS>
    To
    P_lf_status ( variable)
    most of the time multiple variables are created when we try to select the output variable s in the Invoke.

  • Executing an Oracle Stored Procedure from Sender JDBC adapter

    I could really use some help from someone who had done this before.
    I've read the help about using the JDBC sender adapter, but it's not helping enough.
    I found this line: "Specify an SQL EXECUTE statement to execute a stored procedure, which contains exactly one SELECT statement.
    The expression must correspond to the SQL variant supported by the relevant JDBC driver. It can also contain table JOINs."
    That's definately what we want to do, but we can't figure out the syntax.
    The procedure in oracle looks like this:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE test_ref_cursor
    ( cur_generic IN OUT result_sets.cur_generic)
    as
    BEGIN
    Open cur_generic for
    select
       proposal_number,
       to_char(sequence_number),
       column_name,
       column_value,
       update_timestamp,
       update_user
       from
       coeus.sap_test;
    END test_ref_cursor;
    And we have tried every kind of statement we can think of, but the file adapter always gives us an "invalid sql statement" error.
    Does anyone know what syntax we need to put in the "Query SQL Statement" in the JDBC sender adapter in order to call this procedure?  Or is there something wrong with the procedure that is causing the error?
    <i>I will absolutely return and give points, but PLEASE read my whole post before answering and do not just link me to or quote the help for configuring a sender JDBC adapter or blogs that are about the JDBC adapter in general but do not deal with the issues I am having. Thank you.</i>

    Hi Vanda,
    Unfortunately, the sender JDBC adapter does not support Oracle's store procedure/function.  Unlike stored procedures from other database vendors, Oracle returns a cursor, not a resultset.  The sender JDBC adapter must send a resultset to XI.
    There are 2 possible ways you can accomplish this:
    1.  Use BPM and call the Oracle stored procedure using a receiver adapter via a asynch-synch bridge.
    2.  Develop a user-module for the adapter, which can be used with a sender adapter.
    Thanks

  • Execute Oracle Java Stored Procedure in Pro*C

    I found this is a very usefull example of calling Java procedure via Pro*C module. You could find the source and instructions at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/travel/travelschema.htm#user.
    Some minor issues arose during installation of C/C++ environment. I use MS Visual Studio 6 and it works just fine. Also you have to be very observant when modifying "procCallJSP.bat" file where SETing environment variables.
    I found some flaw in Pro*C "procCallJSP.pc" script. During the execution of "procCallJSP.exe", when you provide not numeric argumet at the command prompt (eg. ` ) it puts the program to infinite loop. It needs an additional check to eliminate such kind of typing. The change needs to applied at line # 142 in "procCallJSP.pc". Other then that it works OK.

  • Java Stored Procedure in EXECUTE IMMEDIATE

    Hi,
    I need advice for the following.
    I'm on Oracle 11g R2. I'm testing application in Oracle 11gR1 and R2 and Oracle Express.
    Purpose is to generate XML reports.
    I have PLSQL Stored Procedure which does that, but since there is bug in Oracle11gR2 related to XMLTRANSFORM I have and Java Stored Procedure which is workaround. They are both compiled, valid etc.
    Java class is :
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import java.io.Writer;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.DOMParser;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLDocument;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XSLProcessor;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XSLStylesheet;
    * This class is used as Java stored procedure
    * There is a bug on Oracle11gR2, related to the limitation on the number of style sheet instructions
    * This stored procedure is workaround when PLSQL code can not be used.
    * File must not have package, otherwise is wrongly compiled in DB
    public class JavaXslt {
         public static void XMLTtransform(oracle.sql.CLOB xmlInput,oracle.sql.CLOB xslInput,oracle.sql.CLOB output) throws Exception{
              DOMParser parser;
              XMLDocument xml;
              XMLDocument xsldoc;
              try{
                   parser = new DOMParser();
                   parser.parse(xmlInput.getCharacterStream());
                   xml = parser.getDocument();
                   parser.parse(xslInput.getCharacterStream());
                   xsldoc = parser.getDocument();
                   XSLProcessor processor = new XSLProcessor();
                   XSLStylesheet xsl = processor.newXSLStylesheet(xsldoc);
                   Writer w = output.setCharacterStream(1L);
                   PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(w);
                   processor.processXSL(xsl, xml, pw);
              }catch (Exception ex){
                   throw ex;
    PROCEDURE Java_XmlTransform (xml CLOB, xslt CLOB, output CLOB) AS LANGUAGE JAVA
    NAME 'JavaXslt.XMLTtransform(oracle.sql.CLOB, oracle.sql.CLOB, oracle.sql.CLOB)';
    I'm calling Java stored procedure from PLSQL Stored procedure (if it is Oracle11gR2) like that :
    Java_Proc.Java_XmlTransform(inputXML, xslt, res);
    So till here everything works ok. XSLT as applied and output XML (res) is OK.
    But when Oracle Express is used Java is out of the question, so there is no Java stored procedure. Howewer PLSQL Stored procedure is still needed.
    So I had to put call to Java Stored procedure in EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement in order to compile to PLSQL package.
    But when I do that :
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'BEGIN Java_Proc.Java_XmlTransform (:1, :2, :3); END;' USING inputXML, xslt, res;
    result value CLOB (res) has zero length...
    What am I missing? Should i set return value to Java class?
    Hope my explanations are clear though.
    Thanks

    Hi odie_63,
    Thanks for quick response.
    I didn't clearly explained.
    When using Oracle 11gR1 and Oracle Express I'm using only PLSQL Procedure.
    When using Oracle 11gR2 i have to use Java Stored procedure because there is documented bug in R2.
    That's why i have to use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE. I don't know which version is the client DB and whether there is or no Java procedures.
    I did tried
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'BEGIN Java_Proc.Java_XmlTransform (:1, :2, :3); END;' USING IN inputXML, IN xslt, OUT res; and the result was ORA-06537: OUT bind variable bound to an IN position
    When using IN OUT for last parameter i.e.
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'BEGIN Java_Proc.Java_XmlTransform (:1, :2, :3); END;' USING IN inputXML, IN xslt, IN OUT res;
    there is no exception, but still DBMS_LOB.getlength(res) = 0
    Thanks

  • Problem with static vars of SQLJ java stored procedure

    Hi,
    When I'm calling a PL/SQL stored procedure that call a Java stored procedure from another Java stored procedure, the second call to the Java stored procedure does not see the first Java stored procedure static variables.
    Why is that?
    Can I configure it to work otherwise so all the Java stored procedure calls in this session will share the same static variables?
    Thanks

    Hi:
    Remove your ; at the end of the sql string.
    String sql = "SELECT VERSION_OFA FROM XX_PARAMETERS";
    I don't know why JDev accept the ; at the end of string in a prepare statement but AFAIK its not legal.
    If your are using the SQL pane of JDev may be the tool strip the ; for you.
    Best regards, Marcelo.

  • Jena Adapter API access from Java Stored Procedures?

    Is it possible to use Jena API from code in java stored procedures in Oracle DBMS 11gR2? Possible but not recommended?
    The reason is that my company uses .Net as the application server plattform (not Java). Calling Java Stored Procedures from .Net is one way to use Jena library.
    Thank you!
    Trond

    Hi Trond,
    Unfortunately the sdordfclient.jar was compiled and built with JDK 6 and the JVM supported in the Oracle database 11gR2 is JDK5.
    If you have a strong requirement, please file a SR against Oracle support. We will then look into a possible recompilation and
    rebuild.
    Thanks,
