Problem exporting custom XML using ISnippetExport API ExportInCopyInterchange

Does the XML generation process invoked by ExportInCopyInterchange call IXMLExportHandler implementations on service bosses?
I cannot make it work. Following the snippet example I have created a service boss which should be recognized as an XMLExportHandler service:
   //Affects XML generation
   Class
        kJBXMLExportHandlerBoss,
        kInvalidClass,
            IID_IK2SERVICEPROVIDER,  kXMLExportServiceImpl,
            IID_IXMLEXPORTHANDLER,  kJBXMLExportHandlerImpl,
I have written a simple class to provide kJBXMLExportHandlerImpl which implements the methods of IID_IXMLEXPORTHANDLER. When I invoke 'Utils<ISnippetExport>()->ExportInCopyInterchange the XML is generated but my class is never entered. Even the constructor is never called either during InCopy startup or the export call.
What am I missing? I'm on Windows7 running CS6 InCopy
Thanks for any help.

  • Custom report  using KM API Error

    Hi All,
    I have to create a report using KM API. i got the custom report using KM API from sdn and I imported into my NWDS. While i compile it, it is giving me this error.
    "The project cannot be build because the classpath for com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf.common.exception.ResourceException is not found."
    I have imported all the required jar files.
    How can i rectify this error?  Could anyone help me out in this issue?
    Regards,
    Divya

    Hi Divya,
    > I have imported all the required jar files
    First, I don't know what you mean with "imported" - in any case, you should <i>not</i> put the JARs into your project but just reference these.
    Also, obviously you have <i>not</i> referenced <i>all the required jar files</i>; ResourceException is part of bc.rf.common_api.jar, which is part of portal application com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf, at least for NW2004s.
    Please use the ClassLocator tool (search the WebLogs for this term to get some initial instruction) to avoid such questions in the future. It will make your life much easier.
    Hope it helps

  • Problem while creating a custom document using JAVA API in the current Folder

    I am trying to create an instance of a custome type from the API. I have created a custom type via XML. I have associated a JSP with the custom type thru iFS manager. This jsp provides an interface for the user to enter various data. On submit I call some other jsp also loaded into the /ifs/webui/jsps which calls a method in the java class to create an instance of the above mentioned type. This instance needs to be created in the current directory and not in the home directory of the user. I have written a java program which when run from JDeveloper connects to the repository and creates the object, but not as a foldered object. If I load this class into custom_classes directory, I get an exception. I am attaching the code also here which does the actual processing.

  • PDF to XML using saveAsXml.api ?

    We have over 5K PDF documents that we need to parse information from. One way that has worked when doing it by hand is to use the Export as XML from an open PDF document. Is there a way to use the saveAsXML api from java or coldfusion or any other language? I have tried using the PDFbox jar file but it doesn't produce the same quality XML as saveAsXML. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Problem in parsing XML using DOM Parser.

    Hi,
    I am parsing an XML using DOM Parser.
    When i try to get attributes of a node, i dont get in the order it is written. For Eg. This the node:
    <Level0 label="News" link="/website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All" level="202" uid="COGN-4MNMT3" parentid="aaaa">
    When i try to print the attribute values i should get in the order:
    News, /website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All, 202, COGN-4MNMT3, aaaa
    BUT I AM GETTING IN THE ORDER:
    News, 202, /website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All, aaaa, COGN-4MNMT3
    Is there any way to sort this problem out?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashok

    Hi Guys,
    Thanks a lot for your replies.
    But i want to keep all the values as attributes only.
    the XML file is as shown below:
    <Menu>
    <Level0 label="News" link="/website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All" level="202" uid="COGN-4MNMT3" parentid="aaaa" children="3">
         <Level1 label="ING News" link="" level="1" uid="COGN-4MNN89" parentid="COGN-4MNMT3" children="3" >
              <Level2 label="All ING News" link="/website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All" level="2" uid="INGD-4MVTK2" parentid="COGN-4MNN89" children="0">
              </Level2>
    </Level1>
    </Level0>
    The code i was using to get attributes is:
    String strElementName = new String(node.getNodeName());
         // System.out.println("strElementName:"+node.getNodeName());
    NamedNodeMap attrs = node.getAttributes();
    if (attrs != null) {
    int iLength = attrs.getLength();
    for (int i = 0; i < iLength; i++) {
    String strAttributes = (String) attrs.item(i).getNodeName();
    String strValues = (String) attrs.item(i).getNodeValue();
    Also is it not possible to Enforce the order using some Schema/DTD in this case?
    TIA

  • Problem when selecting PublishingRollupImage using REST API using Javascript ?

    Hii Guys,
    I am developing  a listing page of News using REST, the custom list contains Title, PublishingRollupImage, and other fields which is provided in the $select
    http://xyz/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('News')/Items?$select=Title,Link,PublishingRollupImage
    the column "PublishingRollupImage" is there and i can return the result by using normal JavaScript API with CAML query.
    but REST calling while specifying this column is failing with this error
    The field or property 'PublishingRollupImage' does not exist
    Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.InvalidClientQueryException
    please note that this is not the (hyperlink/image) field,
    its an existing site columns (publishing image)

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to get Rollup Image data using REST API.
    Per my knowledge, we can’t get it using REST API.
    We can use Client Object Model to achieve it, the following code snippet for your reference:
    var ctx = new SP.ClientContext();
    var items = ctx.get_web().get_lists().getByTitle('Pages').getItems(new SP.CamlQuery());
    ctx.load(items);
    ctx.executeQueryAsync(function() {
    // Get the first items rollup image, just as an example
    var rollupImage = items.getItemAtIndex(0).get_item('PublishingRollupImage');
    console.log(rollupImage);
    If you still want to use the REST API, we can customize a We Service to achieve it.

  • Search a file in KM using a custom coding using KM APIs

    Hi,
    How can I search a file along with its verions in the KM repository using KM APIs?
    Thanks,
    Vamshi

    Hi Vamshi,
    maybe you could use the following Interface:
    http://help.sap.com/javadocs/nw04s/current/km/com/sapportals/wcm/repository/manager/IPropertySearchManager.html
    It has a method
    execute(IQueryExpression query, IResource resource, int depth, int maxResults, boolean includeVersions)
    which returns a IResourceList.
    I hope this helps.

  • Custom XML using HTTP channel

    Hi All,
    I have requirement where 2 trading partners will be posting a custom XML payload (same schema for both partners) through a B2B http url.

    Currently, I am getting Document Identification Protocol error.
    Please help.
    Thanks,

    Hi Prasanna,
    Thank you for the reply.
    I tried setting the identification Xpath under document definition as mentioned in the above mentioned link. But I am getting the "Description: Agreement not found for trading partners: FromTP null, ToTP HTP with document type BRCD_AB_DATA-V1.0-INBOUND." error.
    I have placed my doc definition under Custom-->V1.0-->BRCD_AB_DATA
    I have the XPath for XML as shown below:
    Identification Expression (XPath) ://*[local-name()='BRCD_AB_DATA']/*[local-name()='TRANSACTION_NUMBER']/text()
    Identification Value :1234
    Am I missing anything??

  • Custom Webservice Using OIM APIs

    Hi..
    How can we create and publish a custom webservice from OIM APIs??
    OOTB SPML Webservice does not support all my requirements.
    Thanks...

    The OOTB Web services are mostly asynchronous, so its not mostly suitable for our synchronous activity in OIM. like create,update,enable,disable etc
    So in order to develop the webservices...
    first of all list down all the methods which u need to publish.
    Write Java code for each methods..
    after that publish all methods as Webservices (JAX-WS) on Weblogic server where OIM is running.
    After that you can access your custom webservices of OIM.

  • I am having problems exporting to PDF using InDesign for Mac.

    Hi all!
    I just started using the Creative Suite on Mac and have run into a couple problems. One is that when I set up a document in InDesign using "Facing Pages" and then export to PDF, the document exports each set of "Facing Pages" as one singular spread (my 20 page InDesign document becomes a 10 page PDF). Once it is a PDF, there are no page break lines in the center of the spread to indicate that they are two separate pages, and when I try to set up viewing preferences in Acrobat (single or double page), it too recogrnizes each spread as a single page.
    When I used to do this in InDesign using Windows, whether I exported to PDF or printed to PDF from a document set up with "Facing Pages," each page would still be considered separate once converted to PDF (20 page InDesign docment becomes a 20 page PDF).
    This also leads me to my next question : I see that on Mac, there is no option for printing to PDF, but I notice a quality difference specifically when it comes to linework (vector information) that has been "placed" in the document from Illustrator. Is there any way to achieve the quality of printing to PDF on Mac?
    Thank you in advance!
    Gabby

    Hi Bob, I just tried your suggestion, but the interactive PDF is in spreads by default, no way to change the setting. When I choose to view by single page in Acrobat, it displays a single spread.
    When I choose to view by spreads, it displays 4 pages, two spreads. That's the topic of this whole discussion, I believe. I do own CS 6 at home, however my employer supplied me with CS 5.5. And I have very little, if any, influence on purchasing.
    So, I have no good way to make an interactive PDF (with differing recto/verso headers and footers), that is accessible and shows the correct header/footer. It's either single pages (with one header/footer), or recto/verso headers/footers but PDF only as a spread, as well as I can tell.
    Unless you know something else I can do...
    Best, Marilyn

    Java doesn't care what the file extension is.
    The MIME type needs to be correct or you cannot expect the file to be loaded correctly.

  • Import/Export publishable packages using WLPI APIs

    Hi,
    I have been trying to create a utility to perform import/export of publishable
    packages. Here is the problem that I encountered:
    When creating the PackageEntry, I need to have a map of all references that a
    publishable object has, however, the method to retrieve the referenced publishables
    is no longer in the Publishable interface
    public java.util.List getReferencedPublishables( java.util.Map publishables)
    If I pass a null for the referenced publishables, then the export will work, but
    when I tried to import the package, I got the following error. Any workaround
    to the problem or is there something that I missed?

    There may be options to your process, but as I have mentioned in other strings, the Journals in the BPC for Microsoft version are sequenced.  That means that there is a system generated sequence ID for each journal.  Any individual selection of journals would possibly cause an issue for the sequence. I have not seen any past work in SSIS to detach the records for export or import.  It may be possible, but I would assume it will take some core SQL coding.
    Regarding your error, you may need to verify that you have the security set correctly to use Journals and use the Data Manager capabilities.  Typically, when security tasks are not correct, you will get an error similar to your HRRESULTX.... error.
    An option for loading the details is to build a worksheet in EVDRE, aggregate the data and send it to the cube at a level that is easy to save the file and submit consolidated results.  Just make sure you send all "like" records at an aggregated to a base member, and send to a datasrc to identify the extra details. Then store the excel file with the input values.
    Hope this helps.

  • Problem exporting crystal PDF using printoutputController.export method

    Has anyone used PrintOutputController().export() method in ReportClientdocument to export Crystal PDF report to a JavaIOStream. I am getting an error when I try to export it using this method. The error I get is unable to connect RAS.rptappsrver followed by classcast unable to export to IXMLSerializable. Here is the code I am using.
    Is there some setting I need to enable on the server to use the export function or any other idea will be appreciated?
    IReportAppFactory reportAppFactory = (IReportAppFactory) enterpriseSession.getService("","RASReportFactory");
    ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = reportAppFactory.openDocument(reportID, 0, Locale.ENGLISH);

    Here is the answer. After getting ReportClientDoc from factory we need to set the DatabaseController userid and password (if report on Crystal server is accessing oracle database as datasource). In addition we need to set parameters on the ReportClientDoc for reports and subreports before doing the the export.
    Here is snippet of code: The code below is used to get ReportClientDocument and export it as PDF using bytestream.
    /* Code for getting report client document */
    private static synchronized ReportClientDocument getReportClientDocument() throws Exception
             int count = 3;
             ReportClientDocument rpt = null;
             while (count > 0 && rpt == null)
                  try
                       if (_enterpriseSession == null)
                            ISessionMgr _sessionMgr = CrystalEnterprise.getSessionMgr();
                            _enterpriseSession = _sessionMgr.logon(CRYSTAL_USERID, CRYSTAL_PASSWORD, CRYSTAL_SERVER, CRYSTAL_AUTH);
                             LOG.info("Successful Logging into Crystal Server: " + CRYSTAL_SERVER);
                             _reportAppFactory = (IReportAppFactory)_enterpriseSession.getService("", "RASReportFactory");
                             _infoStore = (IInfoStore)_enterpriseSession.getService("InfoStore");
                             IInfoObjects result = _infoStore.query("Select SI_ID, SI_NAME From CI_INFOOBJECTS Where SI_NAME = '" + CRYSTAL_REPORT_NAME + "' And SI_INSTANCE = 0");
                             IInfoObject infoObject = (IInfoObject)result.get(0);
                             _reportId = infoObject.getID();
                             LOG.info("Located Report Id on Crystal Server: "+_reportId);
                        LOG.info("Created or found CR session");

  • Problem exporting video to use in iDVD

    I am working with anamorphic video in FCE 4.0.1. Video is imported from Canon GL2. The sequence I am working with has the anamorphic flag set and the canvas comes up as a wide screen view as I would expect. I export to QuickTime Movie (not self-contained), which we know sets the display size to 4:3. Open in QuickTime Pro, set the Movie Properties to 853 x 480 and save (as described in http://fcpbook.com/Video9.html ). Drag the movie into iDVD wide screen project. I've done this for a long time and it has always worked until recently.
    Now when I preview the movie in iDVD it displays as squished 4:3. I suspect some upgrade of some software (probably QT or iDVD) has made it quit working.
    I know there have been a lot of questions about this and I have tried various solutions without success. The only way I get it to come up as wide screen in iDVD preview is to use Quick Time conversion and export to a new file as 16:9. The big problem there is the chapter markers are not carried along, and I do not want them at every N minutes as iDVD will provide (I want them where I put them at transitions!). My only other thought is to export the full movie from FCE, bring it into iMovie, add the chapter markers there and export to iDVD (I understand iMovie is more compatible with iDVD).
    I am using QT 7.6.0 and iDVD 7.0.3. This question may be more appropriate for those forums, but probably mostly only effects users that had exported from FCE. So I start with the post here...

    Well, there is one more possibility using myDVDEdit, a powerful freeware application used to modify some parameters of a DVD image, before actually burning it. In this case you also need Toast or any other application able to make a video DVD image out of a VIDEO_TS folder.
    The steps below seem complex, but in fact they are pretty fast, after a couple of usages.
    Instructions for using myDVDEdit:
    - Do not burn the DVD from iDVD but create a +disk image+ file
    - From the finder open the disk image and copy its VIDEO_TS folder to your desktop
    - Change the VIDEO_TS file permissions to let you modify its contents: in the finder Get Info panel select read/write for the folder and +all its internal folders+
    - Open myDVDEdit and use its File>Open command to open the modifiable copy of the VIDEO_TS folder
    - In the top left panel of the myDVDEdit window select +VTS 1+ (this contains the video)
    - In the panel below the video frame select +VTS 1+ among the vertical left tabs, and then Parameters among the top center tabs
    - Now you can see some parameters, that in your case should be: Coding mode: MPEG-2, Standard: NTSC, Resolution: 720x480
    - Aspect is what you need: this should be set to +16:9 auto letterbox+ - if not, select this option
    - Save - this is all you need to do in myDVDEdit
    - note that myDVDEdit window shows any change you make, but you can also open the DVD Player from myDVDEdit itself with File>Test with DVD Player
    - Now you have to +make a new disk image with the modified VIDEO_TS folder+: if you have Toast you have simply to drag the new VIDEO_TS folder to the proper Toast window and burn; otherwise you can use DVDImager, a free application, to create the new disk image, and then use Disk Utility to burn the real DVD (however DVDImager not always works with me... couldn't find out why).
    If this doesn't work, you might also try the other options for the Aspect parameter. The full list is: 4:3, 16:9, 16:9 auto Pan&Scan, 16:9 auto Letterbox (the 1st to try), 16:9 auto Pan&Scan and Letterbox (2nd choice)

  • Problem exporting from FCP using compressor

    Out of the blue - I'm getting batch failures trying to export from FCP for use in a DVD. Immediately after selecting compressor for export, I get an error reading "That file already exists", and a new tab appears in the media browser with a lengthy character string. Compressor opens fine, and I select Best Quality 4:3 encoding for video and aiff48 for audio. When the batch is submitted - it promptly fails and blames FCP for generating an error.
    Did all kinds of restarts and work arounds to no avail. The promising news is that this error seems to occur only when exporting from FCP through Compressor.
    My work-around is to export a QT movie of the piece, quit FCP, launch Compressor, and then import the QT for batching.
    Hope this helps anyone else in similar situations

    Hi:
    How long is your movie?
    The best workflow is FCP > Compressor > DVDSP.
    You can encode your timeline directly to get MPEG2 video and Dolby 2 (AC3) audio files. Then import those in DVDSP and author your DVD.
    Using Compressor you control the full encoding process. You can test with small parts of your movie (those where you got problems with iDVD) and find the best encoding options fopr your footage.
    Of course the DVDSP learning curve is longer than iDVD but once you learned ir you probably never go back. Like iMovie and FCP.
    To give you detailed info about what encoding settings to use you must post some info about your FCP project.
    Hope that helps !
