Problem From The Start

Question

Hi all,
I am very reluctant to ask such a simple question, but I am trully stuck. I have recently bought a book so that I can learn how to write J2ME applications. I have written the Hello World program from it and it does not work. Having no experience at writing these applications and having followed the books instructions exactly I do not know what to do.
I get an error stating: WTK OTA server started ...

StringItem stringItem = new StringItem ("", "Hello o World!");there is the "form.append(stringItem)" missing.
But nevertheless the program should work and show at least an empty form with the exit command.
Plz describe, what exactly is not working.
