Problem in Accessing Response from ASP using HTTPS
hi all,
I am developing an Application in which in the server side i am using the ASP with HTTPS usage.I am getting the fallowing Exception
javax.microedition.pki.CertificateException: Certificate was issued by an unrecognized entity
When i am working with Tomcat i faced the same problem but with the help of MEKeyTool i am able to register the keystore. But can anybody please tell me the way i can register the certificate That was generated by the IIS 6.0 with the MEKeytool.
Please tell me the way to do that.
Thanks in advance
lakshman
hi all,
I have added the certificate into the keystore and now also i am getting the same Exception.
The modification i did was Exported the certificate to Base-64 Encoded format and the certificate was stored and the location was specified in the fallowing command
keytool -import -alias my -file "C:\Documents and Settings\lakshmana\your.cer"
the certificate was imported into the keystore and and it was displayed the content and asked for the confirmation once we given yes it was added into the keystore.
Then after the keytool -list it was the number of certificates will be displayed.
Even then after importing the certificate i am getting the same Exception in the MIDlet.
can anybody please tell me the way resolve that
thanks in advance
lakshman

AjayHi Brian,
I have the same problem as Ajay Yeluguri. In http mode I can generate a download of an Excel document but when we use the portal in https it doesn't work.
When I try to download using https it does not pull the file name and path and when I choose download I have a error message : "Internet Explorer cannot download from ..."
I've test the point 3.2 "... including file up/download" of the BSP application IT00 and it works fine in http and https mode. My problem is not the upload but the download. And in this application the uploaded document is opened in the Internet Explorer window but I want to generate a Save as... window to download the file.
Have you an idea what i can do to solve my problem.
Thanks

I didn't think this was necessary since I already gave permissions to that user
using DCOMCNFG. Thanks for you help.

Also, make sure you put this in your Java code:

No Responses from ALOM using NET MGNT PORT on SunFire v245
Please Help...
I have two sunfire V245 servers running Apache on Solaris 5.10. Both servers have the same settings and apps. Before we used serial port to connect to ALOM 1.6. We switched to net mgnt port because of virtualization of all our servers.
Situation:
Server 1 applied the solaris patches to server 1 and switch to Net Mgnt port to connect to ALOM and no problem setting up and connecting to ALOM. And it is still working and everything works fine.
Server 2 did not applied any solaris patches and switch to Net Mgnt port to connect to ALOM and no problem setting up and connecting to ALOM. After applying solaris patches to server 2 (same patches applied to Server 1), no responses from ALOM when connecting to it. Apache and Unix OS are both working fine. Just can not connect to ALOM.
Please Help ... many Thanks in advance
Georgeif you want to connect via net mgmt port, then you have to configure a separate IP address for net mgmt to access.
if you have not configure the IP for net mgmt then you can connect to serial mgmt port with a straight cable and with a DB-9 connector (null modem)
OR
you can do this from OS as well.
go to
login as root user
cd /usr/platform/`uname -i`
cd sbin
./scadm help
./scadm setsc netsc_ipaddr 0.0.0.0 (net mgmt IP, other than OS)
./scadm setsc netsc_ipnetmask 0.0.0.0
./scadm setsc netsc_ipgateway 0.0.0.0
./scadm reset-sc
plug in a cable in net mgmt port.
now u can access through net mgmt IP.
the proper way to exit from serial management is
sc> logout -

I have tried some ways to set the content type explicitly but the results are same(throwing an exception).
I appreciate you all for helping me out of this.
Thanks
VRHi Amit
We also have this issue with weblogic webservices. Did you get any resolution for this issue.
When the service is executed for lesser number of hits, all the responses are processed properly. But as load (Number of hits for the same service) increases, few responses are failed to be parsed in the web service client. We could confirm that the producer responds with proper content type (text/xml)
Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

We are configuring 9i Froms Servlet to use https according technical white paper from OTN - JAR File Signing for JInitiator 1.3
Here is our following steps:
1) Create a temporary directory, for example c:\temp\jar. Open a command prompt
session at that directory
2) Unpack the f90all.jar (download by ftp from our 9iAS mid-tier AIX host) into
this directory using the following jar command:
c:\jdk131\bin\jar -xvf c:\temp\jar\f90all.jar
3) Delete the c:\temp\jar\meta-inf directory created by the unpacking of the
JAR.
4) Repackage the JAR file in the c:\temp\jar directory using the jar command
again. c:\jdk131\bin\jar -cf f90all_resigned.jar *.*
Figure 14 ¡V Using the jar utility to re-create a JAR file
5) Sign the new version of the Forms JAR file with my custom signing identity:
c:\jdk131\bin\jarsigner
-keystore c:\jdk131\certificates\keystore
-storepass keystore_pwd
-keypass pjc_identity_pwd
f90all_resigned.jar
pjc_identity
6) verified the created jar is O.K. by using: jarsigner -verify
f90all_resigned.jar
7) ftp the new JAR file to the /forms90/java directory on the application
server machine for deployment
8)alter the formsweb.cfg configurations to refer to f90all_resigned.jar rather
than f90all.jar
9) open IE 6.0 to access the test form
http://mid-tier:7778/forms90/f90servlet?config=testing (also using SSO in 9i
Forms)
It pop up a dialog asking the user if we want to trust this code, then redirect
to the SSO login page and show the test for form in IE
So, the http is working.
10) open IE 6.0 to access the test forms
https://mid-tier:4443/forms90/f90servlet?config=testing (using SSO in 9i Forms)
It prompt error: Could not connect to
https://mid-tier:4443/forms90/java/f90all_resigned.jar.
Error message: Please ensure that the
certificate for this web server is installed in C:\Program
Files\Oracle\JInitiator
And then hang the browser.
Have anyone have idea how to solve this?Ernest,
though not an expert on this: But is the certificate known by the HTTP server? HTTPS requires a custom certificate to encrypt the communication. The Public key needs to be known by the client (Jinitiator) and the Server (HTTP). As far as I remember there is a section on using HTTPS written in the Oracle9iAS application server docu.
I also don't think that resigning the Forms archive files is necessary to use HTTPS. The signature of the f90all.jar files only tells the client that the Java classes can be trusted

Calling Web Service from EJB using HTTP Client
Hi,
Scenario:
I need to Call a Web Service from an EJB Application.I used HttpClient for calling the Web Service in the EJB Application. When i call the execute method of the HttpCLient it throws an exception
The element type "META" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</META>"
The input XML does not have a node called META.
When i call the Web Service using Http Client form an Java Application it is working fine.
Kindly Suggest me the changes/steps that needs to be done
Regards,
S.V.Satish KumarHi Manish,
SOAP adapter does pass the message to XI (this message contains SOAP envelope although XI expects to get message without it), and during the mapping step i get "Runtime Exception in Message-Mapping transformatio~".
I suppose it's because i created proxy manually. I did so because when i imported WSDL, and tried to generate proxy in CRM, i got an error message that said that proxy couldn't be generated because external definitions are only allowed in XI 3. But my XI version is 3.0! And when I generate the same proxy in my R/3 system that is installed on WAS 640, it works.
What can I do?
Cheers,

Problem with uploading data from excel using BDC for tcode f-02
Hi All,
I am uploading data from excel using BDC for tcode f-02. The problem here is, while recording, the values of some fields are recording twice. I dont know why it's happening so. But if I run my abap program, I have to give those fields twice in my excel sheet. Otherwise data does not upload. But it is not the feasible way. We must give those fields once in excel. Please tell me, how I can solve the issue.
With regards,
Rosaline.Hi,
in BDC each and every action is recording. If your press enter in same screen that also recorded once aging may be this is your case repeating field values will appear. we can solve the problem for repeat fields like below.
suppose in your excel having repeated field X1 X2 X3 the X2 contains repeated field X3 means delete the X3 field.
Now In your itab having X1 and X2 fields. While in the LOOP the ITAB pass the X2 field to repeated the fields.
LOOP at ITAB to WA.
CLEAR bdcdata_wa.
bdcdata_wa-fnam = 'BDC_CURSOR'.
bdcdata_wa-fval = 'RM08M-EBELN'.
APPEND bdcdata_wa TO bdcdata_tab.
CLEAR bdcdata_wa.
bdcdata_wa-fnam = 'INVFO-BLDAT'.
bdcdata_wa-fval = wa-X2." 1st time pass the X2 fields
APPEND bdcdata_wa TO bdcdata_tab.
CLEAR bdcdata_wa.
bdcdata_wa-fnam = 'INVFO-BLDAT'.
bdcdata_wa-fval = wa-X2." pass the same value to repeated field
APPEND bdcdata_wa TO bdcdata_tab.
Endloop.
Hope you can understand.

Problem in accessing application server file using open dataset
Hi All,
I am trying to access application server file using open dataset command, its working fine for normal path which imention. But when i am giving path of XI server file, its not working. How to access XI server file using open dataset. Please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
VishalHi Vishal,
You need to verify if the location where you are trying to save the file is in the same server of SAP. In case that the location is in other server you need to map that directy into the same server of SAP.
You need to point always to a location in the same server of SAP, in order that the open dataset could work.

Access proxy from terminal using proxy auto-config
I know about using ntlmaps to wrapper my proxy configurations e get access from Terminal, iTerm2, &c exporting http_proxy variable and others. But I don't want go on using this approach because it simply ***** (forgive me for this word...) for a lot of issues.
I would like simply setup my proxy environment on Network Preferences/Advanced/Automatic Proxy Configuration: (host: http://myproxy/proxy.pac) and using this setup for a whole system, including my terminals. Therefore, are there any way to reach it?
Another details, my proxy is authenticated and uses ntlm type and in browser I use internet without problems.
Thanks a lot for any help!
-LeoI am not quite sure what you are looking for. Mac OS X has supported auto proxy configuration since 10.6 Snow Leopard was introduced (acutally in response to a request I made ). If you open System Preferences, click on Network, then go to the Advanced settings for your network interface, in the Proxies tab there is an option called Auto Proxy Discovery. This is different to Automatic Proxy Configuration which was also available in previous versions of OS X. Automatic Proxy Configuration uses a selected PAC file (Proxy Auto Configuration file) but Auto Proxy Discovery uses the WPAD method of finding your proxy server.
See this article for information about WPAD (Web Proxy Automatic Detection).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_Proxy_Autodiscovery_Protocol
WPAD uses either an option advertised from your DHCP server giving the address of your proxy server, or WPAD can use a standard URL based on your domain name to download a dat file containing your proxy server details.
I have seen reports saying the the DNS method is problematic with Mac OS X but also seen reports that the DHCP method does work with this option successfully. So my suggestion is to define the DHCP option code 252 to advertise your proxy server.
Note: Thanks to yet another request I made in the past the Mac OS X DHCP Server can be manually configured to define additional DHCP option codes including option 252. The ability to define DHCP option codes was added in Mac OS X 10.5 Server (Leopard). -

I'm going to convert a SQL Server 7.0 database and its stored procedures to Oracle8i. No problem, I'll use the workbench. What I'm much less clear on are the issues of accessing Oracle stored procedures from Active Server Pages. Can you provide some links to any relevant technical papers?
If you're using ASP's, I assume you'll be coding to the ADO API to do your actual database access. Assuming this is the case, the Oracle OLE DB or ODBC driver can be used to make the actual connections and to call the stored procedures. If you have a functional ASP now going against a SQL Server database, it should require minimal effort to modify that ASP to go against an Oracle database. You'll merely need to tell it to use one of our drivers, rather than the Microsoft drivers.
Since there are a number of ASP/ADO books available, I'm not sure that Oracle produces a lot of documentation about how to use those interfaces to access our database. One of the major goals of Microsoft's various data access protocols is that you should be able to write a single app that accesses any database.
