Is it possible that your web service is receiving something
with an ill
formed tag. I'd second bitwyse's suggestion.

  • Problem in accessing Web Services developed using JDeveloper 10.1.3

    We have developed J2EE 1.4 JAX RPC Web Services using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.
    I take the WSDL document generated by JDev and created Web Proxy for that WSDL.
    I have developed the Swing Client for accessing the Web Service and when i tried to run from JDev it is working fine.
    My requirement is to access the swing client from Java Web start.
    When i tried to run from Web start, I am getting the following exception.

    Ravi Kumar

    I am also having the same problem. Calling a web service inside JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 works fine. When I deploy to a jar file and include all Jars that the dependency analyzer identifies, the following error occurs:
    standard type mapping initialization error: javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: javax
    .xml.soap.SOAPException: Unable to create SOAP Factory: Provider com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.soap.ver1_1.SOAPFactory1_1Impl not found
    Your work around defining Java system properties does work, but why do we need to do this using the Oracle SOAP stack?
    If there are alternatives to this problem please share. Thank you.

  • Problem in accessing Web Service from Excel

    Hi All,
    I have faced a new problem when calling WS from Excel.
    I have created a WS from CAF which has one method and the method takes a list (a table) of structure as an input and returns a string as output. The structure contains three fields
    such as
    medPlace -- String
    publictn - String
    amount - long
    This WS is working fine when I am testing from WS Nevigator.
    Now I have imported the WS in Excel and now the data types are like
    medPlace -- String
    publictn - String
    amount - double
    My requirement is to send the multiple row of the Excel to the WS at a time( I mean as a List). So when I have executed it first time I got error like “deserialisation error”. But I got an article (SAP Web Services and Microsoft Office: How to Create Simple Composite Applications ) by Marcus Schiffer and that problem is resolved.
    But Now I am getting the error like ......Client:Type conversion failure for element eXLSTRUCT0 HRESULT=0x80020005: Type mismatch. - Client:Unspecified client error. HRESULT=0x80020005: Type mismatch.
    eXLSTRUCT0 - This is my structure name in input.
    Can you please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Chandan

    Hi Nikhil,
    Have you created the destination for your online webservice as mentioned in [this|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/vc71/webServiceDestination] document?
    <optional>
    Did you test your Web Service in WS Navigator? (you can search for your web Service with the destination name mentioned in step 1 or just paste the WSDL)
    Logout and Login again, then search for the service.
    Let me know if it helps.
    Regards,
    Dharmi

  • Exception while accessing web service through code

    I have a web service developed using AXIS deployed on Weblogic 8.1
    Another web application cotaining GUI deployed on Weblogic 10 tries to access this web service through code.

    Can anyboby share his/her insights in this regard?
    Thanks,

    Hi Fernando,
    Thanks for this.
    I was able to activate and deactivate the services. But i was not able to test these services (HTTP 500 Internal server error).
    Also the services which are listed in the trnx SICF are not present in the trnx WSADMIN (I am using trnx WSADMIN to go to the home page of the web service and download the WSDL file of the service). What may be the reason?
    Is there some configuration setting which I am missing or is it some other problem?

    Hi,
    java.io.IOException: Unable to open connection to host "128.9.125.6:8000". Connection timed out: could be due to invalid address. first check it are you able to connect the WSNavigator. I think you are not able to connect the WSNavigator and are you able to see the WebService in WSNavigator?
    Procedure
    To import a Web service model, proceed as follows:
           1.      Choose the context menu entry -
    Create Model on the -
    Models node of the relevant component.
           2.      In the model wizard, choose Import Web Service Model followed by Next.
           3.      In the second wizard window, enter a model name and specify the package and source code directory. The name of the proxy package is created automatically when you specify the model package.
           4.      Select whether your Web service source is from a local server, is addressed using a URL, or whether it is a UDDI service.
           5.      If you select Local File System or URL, choosing Next will take you to the following window in which you enter a local WSDL URL or select one by choosing Browse.
           6.      If you selected the option UDDI or URL, choosing Next will take you to the following wizard window in which you either enter a WSDL URL of a UDDI service directly or select one by choosing UDDIu2026
    Enter the WSDL description of the Web service in the Wsdl field u2013 for example, http://webservices.matlus.com/scripts/emailwebservice.dll/wsdl/IemailService for an e-mail service.
    You do not need to make any entries in the next step, Proxy Definition / URI Package Mappings. Choose Finish to close the window.
           7.      Switch to the Package Explorer view, select the file lport1.lp in the directory \src\packages\<myPackage>\, and check the port entries.
    Hope this helps!!
    Regards
    Vijay

  • Problem with RESTful web service

    I am running into a problem with Flex Web Services (REST) in trying to get the proper format returned. I can see that the HTTP header is set to

    Hi,
    I have posted a simple application with the RESTful reference:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=13758
    I can give you full privileges on this so you can look at the WEB service reference. Shall I send to you separately for login user?
    It is using the RESTful service: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/nd_pat_miller/demo/employee/{deptno}
    This RESTful service tests fine when I test from within the RESTful web service module of the Workspace.
    I based this on the Video demo tutorial for RESTful web service that Oracle published for 4.2 release. The video seemed to exclude the {deptno} in the URL but when I try that, it doesn't work either.
    This is the error I am getting when I run this on my Apex environment: (it, of course, will not run the web service in the apex.oracle.com environment)

  • How to check error type in accessing web service?

    Dear all,
    I have created a form using WSDL connection to access web service in SOAP protocol.
    But I have difficulties in error handling when acccessing web service.
    I try to put a try catch block for the following statement :
    ie. xfa.connectionSet.WebServiceDC.execute(false);
    in case for any error, I can only catch message saying GeneralFault only.
    Is there any extra object in the script that I can catch to handle for different error type?
    e.g checking SOAP.? and where should I put the codes in?
    Actualy I want to detect if network connection is not ok or if it fails to find ecert which is required under https connection
    Rgds.

    Have you tried the try catch block ?
    See the error codes it responds with.
    Then look through the properties of the Exception
    try
        doInit();
    } catch(err)
        var vDebug = "";
        for (var prop in err)
           vDebug += "property: "+ prop+ " value: ["+ err[prop]+ "]\n";
        vDebug += "toString(): " + " value: [" + err.toString() + "]";
        status.rawValue = vDebug;
    function doInit()
        doWebServiceCallThatFails();

    break;
    return ReturnValue;
    You would just need to define your bindings and endpoints in your web.config. This method will return the DisplayName and ObjectType for the resource with the ObjectId matching the objectID argument. If you need more information, please provide more specifics

  • Problem connecting to Web Services server

    Hello,
    I've had my printer running perfectly since I installed it 3 days ago but today I am nolonger able to use eprint. I can still scan and print from my home PC and laptop but I am unable to send emails directly to the printer now. This was working fine and I used the feature fairly often without error but today no emails arrived. When I logged on to the eprint web site using my google account {Personal Information Removed} the status of the printer said disconnected. I've tried deleting the printer and re-attaching it (which had no effect) and I've now tried disabling web services on the printer then re-enabling it. When I try this I now receive the following error: Problem connecting to Web Services server.
    The printer model is a HP Photosmart Premium C310a with the lastest software update. The printer is connected to my network via Wifi and is reachable and usable from all my PC's.
    It seems to me that there is something wrong with the software configuration on the printer, the reason I think this is because the screen interface slows down to a crawl after some use and when this happens it is not possible to switch the printer off via the power button. The only solution is to pull the power cable! This is something new and didn't happen before, is there a way to reset to factory default, the option in the menu doesn't seem to reset everything?
    Please advise ASAP.
    Thanks in advance,
    Stuart {Personal Information Removed}

    Greetings,
    The ePrint Service has been having some issues after the upgrade. The server team has found and fixed a bug in the latest release that affected connectivity. If you're having problems, please unregister your product (from the Web Services menu, select "Remove Web Services"), then register again (from the Web Services menu, select "Enable Web Services).
    After reregistering, I have been very successful using both ePrint and the Print Apps using my HP LaserJet CM1415. It has been staying connected, and promptly printing jobs I send to it. It has also been reconnecting after I powercycle. I sincerely hope you have the same experience. We had an ePrintCenter outage a few minutes ago that may have affected connectivity, but I am able to use ePrint and the Print Apps again as of 5:15 Mountain Time.
