    Hi,
    please try this with the embedded OC4J that you can start as stand alone server. If you use the OC4J isntance you download from OTN then you get one of version TP1, which is probably not working well with the changes in JDeveloper 11 TP3

  • Problem migrating ear from Oracle AS 10g to 11g.

    Hi
    I need to deploy an ear file in Oracle AS 11g. The ear has war in it.
    The ear file has uix pages and the supporting files (EOs and VOs).
    Using Oracle AS 10g:

    In weblogic console,
    1) I have created a server and got it running.
    2) Went to 'Deployments' page and clicked on 'Install'.
    3) Entered the path for the ear file and pressed 'Next'
    I am getting the following error:

    Hi
    I downloaded oracle 11g release 2 s/w from www.oracle.com.I downloaded s/w for windows 64 bit os.my os is windows 7. that is why i downloaded it. It is in two zip folders.after completion of downloading i open first part and i executed setup.exe file in database folder of first part.
    in the install options window i selected "create and configure database " option from the available 3 options.one of the other option is "install database s/w only" and other i could not remembered.
    after this i given the location for storing installed files. this location is in same location where i downloaded the s/w(D:\ location).
    then i clicked next and finish button. upto 48% it works fine, but after that it is showing error that one of the file is not available from the source directory.
    so what i have to do next.
    i tried again by clicking the universal installer option from the start->programs menu. It is asking the folder location for source files, i given this downloaded location. but it is showing error like "the specified location is a folder location", if i selected setup.exe file the it is showing "the specified file is incorrect".
    so kindly help me out in this one.
    Regards
    Raavi Naveen

    Hi Ravi,
    Here the issue is Downloaded zip files are not extracted at the same location.
    For example,the downloaded files are
    11gR2_part1.zip and 11gR2_part2.zip
    Please unzip as below
    mkdir 11gR2
    mv 11gR2_part1.zip 11gR2
    mv 11gR2_part2.zip 11gR2
    cd 11gR2
    unzip 11gR2_part1.zip
    unzip 11gR2_part2.zip
    The zip will create necessary folders and place files, 2nd zip will also extract files in the same folder.
    In case this doesn't resolve error kindly paste the error received in installation log
    Thanks,
    Krishna

  • Where can i download jdev 11g Technical Preview version

    I need TP1 or TP2, is there any way to get it?

    The technology previews are not supported, and are no longer out there on OTN - so my recommendation is that you try and solve the errors you are running into and get your application working on the supported production version of JDeveloper.

  • Ant tasks for oracle

    Can anyone tell me where I can get this ant task "<oracle:shutdownServer|restartServer ..>" which is clearly documented in the Oracle PDF - "Oracle Containers for J2EE Deployment Guide"
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/web.1013/b28951.pdf
    I have the ant-oracle-classes.jar for our 10.1.3.1 and have searched the antlib.xml contained within the jar and there is no reference to these tasks.
    I have searched all jars in our oracle base and there are no references to these ant taskdefs anywhere.
    Is there a patch for this, our is there a seperate download required?
    Thanks for any help on this,
    JP.

    John this issue looks similar to bug 6020713 raised against 10.1.3.2 OC4J on solaris, which states that antlib.xml file is missing the following values.
    < taskdef name="restartServer" classname="oracle.ant.taskdefs.deploy.JSR88StartServer"/>
    < taskdef name="shutdownServer" classname="oracle.ant.taskdefs.deploy.JSR88ShutdownServer"/>
    It looks like 10.1.3.1 also has this issue on windows as the classes exist in the ant-oracle-classes.jar.
    You should raise an SR to clarify this oracle support.
    Cheers
    Jeff

  • Problems with JDev 11g using JBOSS and ANT

    Hi,
    I'm trying to migrate to JDev 11g with JBoss ( version 7.X ) as the AppServer
    With JDev 10g all works fine with JBoss, even the Remote Debug, all OK
    here is the problems I have :
    1) ANT
    JDev doesn't save my ANT settings
    every time I launch ANT : Run Ant Target - I must set the Advance settings
    JDev 10g I only need to do that once, the settings are saved but not in the 11g, why ?
    2) persistence
    I get this error when deploying to JBoss
    16:34:50,967 INFO [org.jboss.as.server] (HttpManagementService-threads - 1) JBA

    it seems that is something related to dependencies not well configured during build stage of the EAR, but with 10g works fine

    I can't say many about the ant stuff, but have you tried to put the parameters in a property file and use this to get the parameters to ant?
    The reason you can't run the application on WLS is that you have not installed the adf runtime on your wls. The error 'application.xml: [Extension-Name: adf.oracle.domain, exact-match: false].' points to this.

  • Oracle ant tasks 10.1.3DP3

    I use the "assemble" ant task (and ant files provided with oracle sample web services apps in 10.1.3DP3) to generate EAR file in my application. Everything worked well with ant files but I wanted to move to maven as this is our build system. I 'm able to invoke the oracle ant tasks from maven and build the ear file. However when I try to deploy and then generate the proxy from WSDL I ran into some problems.
    1. I ''m unable to get deploy to work from maven. Error is:
    Unable to create Deployment Manager
    followed by
    error getting handle to JMX MBean Server
    2. Deployment during build is not a requirement for me but ability to generate proxy jars is. So I m trying to find a way to generate the proxy jars without having to get the WSDL remotely from a running OC4J. Is there a way to tell the "assemble" task to leave the WSDL file on the disk or do I need to pull it out of the generated EAR file and then feed it to "genProxy"?

    Check the 'genWSDL' ant task or equivalent command from the WS user guide [1], page 162. This should do what you are looking for.
    For the JMX-deployement integration with maven, try the J2EE forum. You may have more feedback there.

  • Running Ant tasks within JDev

    Hi,
    I'd like to be able to use JDev's (10.1.3) debugger with Ant. I mean, I'd like the debug command (i.e. button, context menu) to run an Ant task but still use the debugger in JDev. Not sure if this is possible but if it's not it means that my project would have to be totally configured in JDev even though my Ant script does this already.
    Thanks.

    There is currently no way to automatically run Ant before the debugger. The best you can do is turn off "Make Project" in the Tool Settings panel of your Run Configuration (found in the Run/Debug pane of Project Settings). Then you have to manually run the appropriate Ant target before your debug session. I have a bug open to add a way to run Ant automatically before running or debugging.

  • Flexunit ant task on CI Server - rundll32.exe causing problems

    My team is using flexunit and a CI server running Hudson. On a development system, everything runs fine, and we get the reports just like we need them. It also works fine on the CI server when just the flexunit task is run, but the build fails when the CI server tries to run a full build - the build tries to run the tests and clean to prepare for the next build, but the clean fails because there is a "rundll32.exe" process using one of the files and it can't be deleted. We tracked this process down to the one run by the flexunit task.
    Our task is:
        <target name="xci-test" depends="set-flex-coverage-home, prepare-domain-metadata-to-war, prepare-sounds-to-war, prepare-domain-metadata-for-testing, compile-unit-test-flex">
            <echo>**** The flexunit target requires that you have the standalone flash player installed and configured to run .swf files automatically! ****</echo>
            <mkdir dir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}"/>
        <!-- Execute TestRunner.swf as FlexUnit tests and publish reports -->
        <!-- Please see http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Ant_Task -->
        <flexunit workingDir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}"
                  swf="${dir.flexgui.build.war}/${flex.swf.name}test.swf"
                  toDir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}"
                  haltonfailure="false" verbose="true" localTrusted="true"
                                port="11028" timeout="40000"/>
            <!-- Generate readable JUnit-style reports -->
            <junitreport todir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}">
                <fileset dir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}">
                    <include name="TEST-*.xml"/>
                </fileset>
                <report format="frames" todir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}/"/>
            </junitreport>
            <sleep seconds="10"/>
        </target>
    I can reproduce this behavior on my dev machine by running "ant xci-test clean". We tried putting a sleep in to give the process time to shut down, no change. We attempted to use the 'command' option to the flexunit task to bypass the use of rundll32.exe, but then the flash player just hangs onto the file and the clean still fails. Since "ant xci-test" followed by "ant clean" works, we also tried running ant from within ant in order to force the process to stop, but that also didn't work. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for your time,
    Linden

    @Linden - Have not heard of this side effect from anyone as of yet, but good to know.  Sounds like the file lock is coming from the Flash Player and causing the spawning process (rundll32.exe) to hang around as well.  The FlexUnit team runs on Hudson using the FlexUnit Ant task, but we don't seem to encounter the same issue.  What's the longest interval you've tried to use with the sleep task?  Does the FP ever release its handle to the test SWF on your development machines?
    Not sure this is a problem with the FlexUnit Ant task, but in 4.2 we could try to explicitly kill the rundll32 process since we'll have the PID when the task launches it.  Head on over to JIRA and file a feature request for us and I'll see what I can do in the new year.  In the short term though, maybe try upgrading your version of the stand alone debug flash player to see if that helps.  Has anyone else seen this issue?  Could you possible just move the clean target to be called before the xci-test target is run?  Just some suggestions.

    it seems that this task is skipped completely. no error messages, no stack trace,
    nothing. i tried -verbose and -debug options on ant, but there're no logs displayed
    whatsoever. it takes less than a second to run this task so i presume it's just
    getting skipped completely.
    i run this from the standalone Ant 1.5.4 on Windows environment.
    i've followed the topic "wlserver Ant task for WebLogic 8.1" where kind of similar
    problem is described but putting weblogic.jar on the system CLASSPATH is not an
    option for this project.
    anyone has any idea about how to get this going?
    cheers

    sounds bug to me. NPE should be correctly handled with appropriate error
    message. Please contact BEA support to log the call.

    hi
    i have a problem with using wlserver ant task for Weblogic 8.1
    basically i want to start the server that is already preconfigured anddeploy
    one ear.
    here's what i do:
    <taskdef name="wlserver"classname="weblogic.ant.taskdefs.management.WLServer">
    <classpath refid="lib.classpath"/>
    </taskdef>
    <wlserver action="start" dir="D:/BEA/user_projects/domains/mydomain"
    output="wls81.log"/>
    (and then the deployment task - irrelevant here)
    the classpath is generated automatically and includes all jars in thespecific
    project directory:
    <path id="lib.classpath">
    <fileset dir="${proj.lib.dir}">
    <include name="**/*.jar"/>
    </fileset>
    </path>
    (weblogic.jar is there as well)
    the problem is when i run it, the following happens:
    - if i have action="start" (or no action attribute at all), i get thefollowing
    exception:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at weblogic.Home.<init>(Home.java:29)

  • Oracle BPM Ant tasks with Oracle BPM Studio cant find jar

    Hello,
    There is this documentation
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/anttasks/index.html
    which states how to run Ant tasks to do different tasks on Oracle BPM. In EVERY example in the doc and the INTERNET there is this line in build.xml
    <project name="OracleBPMExample" xmlns:fuego="antlib:fuego.tools.ant.enterprise">
    Now, could anyone PLEASE tell me where to find fuego.tools.ant.enterprise. Ive searched every jar in my installation, and couldnt find such package. From what Ive found out it should be something like fuego-antlib.jar but while it is well known and well discussed it is NOT AVALIABLE ANYWHERE.
    please, help. Im using Oracle BPM 10.3.2
    regards,
    Pawel

    You are right Mike... The ant tasks help you do process admin stuff... so that in the Enterprise environment, you can script it all, and not require manual deployments and such.
    Just download 10g Enterprise.... the library will be in there...
