You are correct, there is a bug logged with JDeveloper 9.0.3 that with JDK 1.4, Web services are not working. See:
http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/htdocs/readme_903.html#ws0
(while not exactly your situation, I suspect it is related). We are close to releasing JDeveloper 9.0.4 preview which will support JDK 1.4 and should resolve your problem.
In terms of your second problem, there is a similar bug logged but could I ask you to try again with JDK 1.3.1 to see if a similar issue occurs?
As for your third question, this is the default behaviour for Oracle9iAS Web Services - int gets mapped as Integer. See:
http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/903doc_otn/generic.903/b10004/javaservices.htm#1033406
Hope this helps.

Problem using my own webservice in webflow definition
Hi,
I am trying to register an external webservice using WFWS transaction, but in some cases WSDL definition is not well-recognized by SAP.
For example, I can import google service (http://api.google.com/GoogleSearch.wsdl) but I can't use Amazon service (http://soap.amazon.com/schemas3/AmazonWebServices.wsdl).
I can't use any webservice that I have made using developer studio due to a similar reason.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks,I just seen an error in the code above, I've forget 1 line.
But the problem remain the same.
Toolkit tlk;
Image img;
Cursor cur;
tlk = getToolkit(); // I've also tried : tlk = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
img = tlk.getImage( "dndred.gif" ); // the file exists, it is displayed on the Canvas
cur = tlk.createCustomCursor( img, new Point( 1, 1 ), "DragAndDrop" ); // Exception when running
setCursor( cur );

Problems with creating model in Email Web Service tutorial
Hello!
In the moment, I'm trying to follow the tutorial "Using an Email Web Service in Web Dynpro". I followed all the steps in the chapter "Generating a Model from the WSDL Description", but after typing in the mentioned WSDL description "http://webservices.matlus.com/scripts/emailwebservice.dll/wsdl/IemailService" in the "New Model" wizard, I'm getting the error message, that the WSDL file is not found or not valid and no new model can be created.
So I'm quite stuck. What am I doing wrong? Did anyone encounter the same problems?
Greeting
BärbelHello Baerbel,
I could not reproduce this error and never had this before. What you could do in the meantime is taking the wsdl description from the url and copy and paste it into a notepade file. Then please save it under emailwebservice.xml onto your hard disc and select it from "local file system or url" and take it from the path of your local file system.
Hope that helps!
Best regards,

Problem in creating EJB and WebService using complex class structure
Hi All,
My requirement is like :
I have a class with very complex structure.
I have also used external .jars.
Now when I have created an EJB with a method's return parameter as above class.
But when I am creating a Webservice, it doesnot allow me to select this method.
Not able to configure why ?
Please Help.
Thanks.Hi,
I have gone through your code and the problem is that when you create jar it takes a complete path address (which is called using getAbsolutePath ) (when you extract you see the path; C:\..\...\..\ )
You need to truncate this complete path and take only the path address where your files are stored and the problem must be solved. -
WSCONFIG Problem while creating Webservices in ECC Discovery System.
Hi,
I am creating a webservice in ECC Discovery system, whereas in i am getting the following error when trying to release the webservice using Tcode: WSCONFIG.
Error:
An attempt was made to edit the service definition ZWS_SaleOrderCreate_Test with transaction WSCONFIG. This is not possible for this service definition, since it has a new service definition version (release 710 and later).
Procedure
Use the web service configuration interface offered by the ITSAM framework.
Your helpful answers will appreciated.
Advance Thanks
AshokHi,
WSCONFIG is obsolete since Netweaver 7.0 SP14.
With Netweaver 7.0 you have to use transaction SOAMANAGER instead.
With Netweaver 7.10, I don't know as I have never used it.

Error while creating a webservice model
Hi All,
I am doing the EMail WebService exercise. While creating the webservice model I select the UDDI or URL Radio button and in the wsdl field I paste the following url : http://www.abysal.com/soap/AbysalEmail.wsdl .
When I click next in the proxy definition screen, I get the message Invalid WSDL or WSDL not found and the Finish button is not highlighted.
I checked the webservice mentioned above it is fine and working. I cannot understand why this is not accepted in NWDS
Pls Reply ASAPHi,
I am using the Proxy to connect to the internet so i used the proxy connection to send the mail.
For me the web service is just working fine.
I do not know where the problem is occuring for you.
There is already ready-made tutorial for this application...
<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/business_packages/a1-8-4/6tutwd_emailwebservice.zip">Ready Made Application</a>
you download it and give the proxy parameters and try to execute the application. Now this should work fine for you.
Hope it helps.

Problem in creating a build.xml for weblogic portal application
Team ,
I am facing problem in creating the build.xml using weblogic.BuildXMLGEN tool .
a) Below is the structure of my portal application
SrcCode
--- .metadata (eclipse plugins folder)
--- B2BApp ( Ear Content)
--- b2bPortal ( portal related file(controllers,jsp)
--- b2bsrc (java src)
b) Now I executed below utility to generate the build.xml "
java weblogic.BuildXMLGen -projectName B2BApp -username weblogic -file build.xml -password welcome1 F:\srcCode"
c) Based on the above step , build.xml got generated .
d) when I execute "ant compile" target from the command prompt , I see the below exception
ant compile
Buildfile: build.xml
compile:
+[wlcompile] [JAM] Warning: failed to resolve class AbstractJspBacking+
+[wlcompile] [JAM] Error: unexpected exception thrown:+
+[wlcompile] com.bea.util.jam.internal.javadoc.JavadocParsingException: Parsing failure in F:\b2bNew\b2bPortal\src\portlets\b2b\dmr\Picker\PickerController.java at line 58.+
e) I suspect , the problem is bcoz of classpath issues , as I generated build.xml donot have the references to dependent lib's.As build.xml looks like below :
+<target name="compile" description="Only compiles B2BApp application, no appc">+
+<wlcompile srcdir="${src.dir}" destdir="${dest.dir}">+
+<!-- These referenced libraries were not found -->+
+<!-- <library file="p13n-core-web-lib" /> -->+
+<!-- <library file="jersey-web-lib" /> -->+
+.....+
+....+
Please help me to reslove these issues .
PS: I able to deploy the application using 10.3.2 weblogic workshop ( i.e inbuilt eclipse )i JaySen ,
thanks for your response. As mentioned we added all the necessary library within the -librarydir but still we see the same error :
+[JAM] Error: unexpected exception thrown:+
com.bea.util.jam.internal.javadoc.JavadocParsingException: Parsing failure in F:\b2bNew\b2bPortal\src\portlets\typeAhead\TypeAheadController.java at line 70. Most likely, an annotation is declared whose type has not been imported.

===================
a) this is a upgrade project [ upgrading from wlp 8.1.4 to 10.3.2 ]
i.e we are using weblogic portal 10.3.2 version.
b) Searched some sites/forums regarding the above error, and it says something related to "jwsc" ant task [ i.e while compiling a webservice(JWS) ], but we see this error while compiling a normal controller(jpf) class :(
c) we are using "ant compile" target which internally calls wlcompile task , while executing wlcompile this error is thrown .
Help Appreciated

Problem when creating CAF Entity Service finder Methods
Guys,
Can any one please suggest me appropriatly to the below problem.
I am using NWDS 7.06. I have no problem when creating CAF project, Application Service and Entity Service even.
But in the Entity Service:
1. Add a string or longtext attribute.
2. try to create a custom finder method in operations tab, during that operation i am not finding the attribute which i have created in step1.
That means i am not able to create the my own finder methods with parameters.
I was able to do that in some version long ago but i have forgotten that NWDS version.
summary of Problem Is: " Cannot create custom methods with custom parameters in Entity Service"
Can you please suggest me the right version or a solution to this problem on urgent basis please.
I promise you that i will give you full points to you who ever gives me the right solution.
Please mail your suggestions to [email protected]Guys,
I have solved the problem successfully. Thanks for your attention. -

Creating own datatypes/handles
Hello!
I have a C library which has differents functions that expect various handles (uint32) as parameters. Calling these functions from within LabVIEW is not a problem. What I want to do is make these handles avaible to the outside, accessible through a SubVI connector, somehow comparable to the "Tasks" in DAQmx functions. I can without problem give them as uint32, however this way different types of handles can easily get mixed up as they all appear as blue lines and look like some integers and are not typechecked at all.
Is there a possibility to create own datatypes in LabVIEW that basically can be translated to a simple uint32 in order to pass them to a DLL but to avoid mixing up different types of handles outside of the SubVI. It would be comparable to some C "typedef" with additional typechecking when they are passed to a SubVI. This would simplify the use of the VIs I am creating siginificantly as errors with mixed up handles are very hard to spot and cause major run-time errors. Additionally it would be very helpful if it was able to create its own coloring/design for the lines and connectors to make the block diagram look cleaner.
I am using LabVIEW 8.5.1.
Best regards!Two ideas come to mind.
Type cast your U32 as an datalog reference. That will only give you the option for a green wire. But its traditional and has been around for a long time.
LVOOP lets you define the appearence of the wires used by a class. So wrapping your dll inside a privat method in its class will give you custom wires.
