Problem in deploying a migrated bpel process from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3

Hi,
I had migrated a bpel process developed 10.1.2 to 10.1.3. After migration I had modified a bpel process flow and tried to deploy it.
But I am facing a following error:
<B>Error: Failed to compile classes.Failed to compile the generated BPEL classes for "RoutingBpel".</B>
Can modify the bpel process flow once we migrate from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3?
Thanks,
-Vidya

You can modify the process after migration, it shouldn't be a problem. Can you post the complete error message? Are you using any java embeddings?

  • Problem calling different versions of BPEL process from an ESB

    We are currenlty having a problem calling a BPEL process from an ESB service.
    We initially developed the solution and the two communicated correctly, however it was necessary to make some changes to the BPEL process and we subsequently redeployed the BPEL process incrementing the version number.
    However the ESB service when initiated was still calling the initial version of the ESB service.
    Is there any way of making the ESB call the default BPEL process version as configured from the BPEL console.

    You can accomplish this task by invoking SOAP Service in ESB that points to current WSDL of BPEL process, for example:
    http://localhost:8888/orabpel/default/SOAOrderBooking/SOAOrderBooking?wsdl
    instead of
    http://localhost:8888/orabpel/default/SOAOrderBooking/1.0/SOAOrderBooking?wsdl

    There is an issue with the process, it is trying to connect to the service, I don't believe it needs to be the new 11g version but the WSDL should be accessible.

  • Migrating BPEL Process from 10.1.3.4 to 11g - Urgent

    All,
    We have developed BPEL process's in 10.1.3.4(10g). As 11g is released, we need to test the same process's in 11g as well. Here is my query
    We used DBAdap extensively in our project in 10g and the connections are configured in data-sources and oc4j-ra.xml files. On importing the 10g process to JDev11g(11.1.1.0 ), it prompts for migration and migration went thru successful. During deployment I got the error as 'Toplink deployment descriptior failed for UpdateHeaderTable.....'. Plz let me know how do we configure the connection info in 11g.
    Please note that I configured the JDBC datasources in the console. Similar to configuring oc4j-ra.xml, where do we configure the same in 11g
    Please help me
    Thanks,

    Have got the same problem. Scenario at my end is little different though.
    I am trying to invoke a BPEL process from an ESB Service.
    I am trying to look into it..
    However, would be grateful, if someone can give some insight into this since many are running into this issue without being able to fix.

  • Question: How to call a BPEL process from a PL/SQL procedure

    Hi All,
    Greetings to all BPEL people. I have a question on how can we call a BPEL process from a PLSQL procedure. It might be a stupid question but i wanted to know whether this fetaure is available in BPEL as our scenario requires us to explore if this functionality is available in BPEL.
    Please let me know and also if possible please send me the links for the tutorials if it is available.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Dibya

    Yes u can do it. there are two ways.
    1) First one is using utl_http package of PL/SQL
    In this case u can create SOAP request message & send it as Http request to your deployed BPEL process.
    This package provides some methods like
    set_header,write_text,get_response,read_text etc..
    Following is part of code which may be helpful to you.
    create or replace package body test_book_order_sub_pkg
    is
    FUNCTION test_book_order_sub(p_subscription_guid IN RAW,
    p_event IN OUT WF_EVENT_T
                                            Return VARCHAR2 IS
    soap_request varchar2(30000);
    soap_respond varchar2(30000);
    http_req utl_http.req;
    http_resp utl_http.resp;
    launch_url varchar2(240) ;
         begin
         DBMS_OUTPUT.Put_Line('Subscription : Order has been booked');
         soap_request:='<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
         <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soap:Header/>
    <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/BES_BookOrder">
    <ns1:BES_BookOrderProcessRequest>
    <ns1:input>725</ns1:input>
    </ns1:BES_BookOrderProcessRequest>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>';
    http_req:= utl_http.begin_request
    ('http://172.28.5.191:8888/orabpel/default/BES_BookOrder/1.0',
    'POST',
    'HTTP/1.1'
    utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Type', 'text/xml') ;
    utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Length', length(soap_request)) ;
    utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'SOAPAction', 'initiate');
         utl_http.write_text(http_req, soap_request) ;
    http_resp:= utl_http.get_response(http_req) ;
    utl_http.read_text(http_resp, soap_respond) ;
    utl_http.end_response(http_resp) ;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.Put_Line(soap_respond);
    return('SUCCESS');
    end test_book_order_sub;
    end test_book_order_sub_pkg;
    2) Second way is make your BPEL process listening to some database Queue(use AQ Adapter). & then put some message in tht queue from ur Pl/SQL code . This will also initiate BPEL instance. Check out AQAdapter tutorials.

  • TNS:Operation Timed Out error while trying to invoke BPEL Process from sql

    Hi,
    I am trying to invoke a BPEL Process from PL/sql code. When i try to invoke the process, I am getting the following error message
    ORA-29273 HTTP Request Failed
    ORA:06512: at SYS.UTH_HTTP at line 1029
    ORA:12535: TNS:Operation Timed Out
    ORA:06512: at line 18
    I have the SOA suite installed on my local machine...and the BPEL process that i am trying to invoke is deployed their.
    Any idea what could be wrong..following is the code piece
    soap_request:='<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soap:Header/>

    dbms_output.put_line('after Begin Request' );
    utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Type', 'text/xml') ;
    Please advise

    you are right the file adapter doesnt invoke any bpel
    process, instead it is polling the file from
    directory location?If it is polling for new files, shouldn't it create a new instance of the BPEL process automatically the moment it finds a new file? In other words, should a new file trigger an instance of the BPEL process rather than being started from PL/SQL?
    Can this file adapter not be invoked as bpel process
    in that case?The file adapter is part of a BPEL process. The BPEL process can be invoked from e.g. PL/SQL.
    In this case this file adapeter return to an RECEIVE
    activity...I think this receive cannot be invoked as
    a BPEL process rite?Can you explain what you mean with this?
    Also , will all synchronous request return "TIMEOUT"
    error, if tried to invoke from pl/sql?Only if the synchronous process instance takes more time to complete (and thus to return) than the value specified for a time-out to occur. If the instance completes in for example 10 ms and the time-out time is specified as 30 seconds, no time-out will occur.

  • Calling a BPEL process from java (STRUTS)

    Hi,
    I´ve a workspace where I have all the deployed bpel processes, and I´ve other workspace with a Struts project. I deployed my Struts project in the OC4J Server where the BPEL processes are deployed.
    I´m trying to initialise Locator instance in a .java file. The Locator will search the bpel processes in the default domain. I get an exception when I run the project, dont know what I´m doing wrong. (can´t copy the exception from the Embedded OC4J Server)
    THE CODE:
    static Locator locator = null;
    static String bpelDomain = "default";
    static String bpelDomainPassword = "bpel";
    static String orabpelPlatform = "oc4j_10g";
    static String javaNamingFactoryInitial = "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory";
    static String javaNamingProviderUrl = "ormi://develc15:23791/orabpel";
    static String javaNamingSecurityPrincipal = "admin";
    static String javaNamingSecurityCredentials = "welcome";
    static String dedicatedRmiContext = "true";
    public static void invokeProcess(String processName, String operationName, String sXml)
    try
    Properties props = new java.util.Properties();
    props.setProperty("orabpel.platform",orabpelPlatform);
    props.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial",javaNamingFactoryInitial);
    props.setProperty("java.naming.provider.url",javaNamingProviderUrl);
    props.setProperty("java.naming.security.principal",javaNamingSecurityPrincipal);
    props.setProperty("java.naming.security.credentials",javaNamingSecurityCredentials);
    props.setProperty("dedicated.rmicontext", dedicatedRmiContext);
    locator = new Locator(bpelDomain, bpelDomainPassword,props);
    } catch (Exception r)
    r.printStackTrace();

    I tried to call an async BPEL process from simple Java client. The only difference that I see in your code and mine is, that I haven't specified the "orabpelPlatform" and "dedicatedRMIContext" properties. Also, another diferenece is the ProviderURL used. I have copied the settings as found under "samples/tutorial/102.InvokeProcess/rmi/Context.Properties".
    While setting the properties use -
    Context.INITIAL_FACTORY
    Context.PROVIDER_URL
    Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL
    Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS
    instead of specifying java.naming.xxxxxx class names.
    Please check the file to see what are the Context properties set during installation for your BPEL PM. Use the same to define Properties to be passed as parameter in the Locator constructor.

  • Invoking BPEL Process from a JSP Page 500 Internal Server Error

    Hi,
    I try to invoke a BPEL Process from a JSP Page and receive the following error. I just pasted the example from the Oracle PM Developer's Guide tutorial. Previously I deployed the CreditRatingService BPEL Process.
    Can anyone help me, please?
    D.
    Here is a sequence from my JSP / and the error I get:
    String ssn = request.getParameter("ssn");
    if(ssn == null)
    ssn = "123-12-1234";
    String xml = "<ssn xmlns=\"http://services.otn.com\">"
    + ssn + "</ssn>";
    Locator locator = new Locator("default","welcome1");
    IDeliveryService deliveryService =
    (IDeliveryService)locator.lookupService
    (IDeliveryService.SERVICE_NAME );
    // construct the normalized message and send to oracle bpel process manager
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage( );
    nm.addPart("payload", xml );
    NormalizedMessage res =
    deliveryService.request("CreditRatingService", "process", nm);
    Map payload = res.getPayload();
    out.println( "BPELProcess CreditRatingService executed!<br>" );
    out.println( "Credit Rating is " + payload.get("payload") );

    Here is the solution:
    Properties props = new Properties();
    props.setProperty("orabpel.platform", "oc4j_10g");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial",
    "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.provider.url", "ormi://localhost/orabpel");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.security.principal", "oc4jadmin");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.security.credentials", "welcome1");
    and several jars have to be added to the project:
    Orabpel.jar , Orabpel-common.jar, oc4j*.jar,
    %ANT_HOME%\lib\ant.jar;
    %ANT_HOME%\lib\xercesImpl.jar;
    %ANT_HOME%\lib\xml-apis.jar;
    %AXIS_HOME%\lib\axis.jar;
    %AXIS_HOME%\lib\axis-ant.jar;
    %AXIS_HOME%\lib\commons-discovery.jar;
    %AXIS_HOME%\lib\commons-logging.jar;
    %AXIS_HOME%\lib\jaxrpc.jar;
    %AXIS_HOME%\lib\log4j-1.2.8.jar;

  • Invoking BPEL process from ADF application - webservice connection failed

    Hi,
    I am trying to invoke a Bpel process from ADF page , I deployed the same in Standalone SOA server since I had to display some Human Task Forms.
    I created a webservice data control out of the bpel process and dropped the process method in my page.
    The page on which I dropped the process method stopped rendering and I checked the logs and found that I got the error mesage- webservice connection failed,the webservice url could not be reached and in the logs it also asks us to check if the connections.xml is available in the meta-inf directory. I checked the conections.xml is available in the EAR.
    So any pointers here and any one faced this error anytime?
    is there better ways to invoke the bpel flow from ADF page.
    Thanks,
    Robin

    Hi,
      Check if your wsdl endpoint can accessed properly. If yes, check the soap-binding address is properly pointing to the server hosting the webservice.
    Regards,
    Harikiran.

    Hey,
    no big deal, this is because the Locator you use, runs in, say local mode,
    use the other API constructor in locator, which gets a hashtable.
    Tutorial is available in samples\tutorials\102.InvokingProcesses\rmi
    Locator locator = new Locator("default","bpel",props);
    The reason why you get that "notFoundEx" is because you are not in the same rmi.context bel runs in.

    G'd morning petr,
    check out 102.invokingProcesses tutorials but not the jsp one.. look into rmi, and into the context properties.. That should help figuring out what/s wrong .. (looks like you try an in-container lookup)
