Problem in printing copy count in the smartform printout

Hi,
I have created a smartform with a single page. I will be printing this form n number of times. For this i have used "TDCOPIES" option while calling the function module generated. Let me say that i am printing it twice. My problem is while printing at the end of the page I need to print "Copy 1 of 2" in the first printout and in the second print out "Copy 2 of 2".
Currently, I am using SFSY-COPYCOUNT, but it still prints "Copy 1 of 2", "Copy 1 of 2", "Copy 1 of 2"... The value of SFSY-COPYCOUNT is always coming as 1. Can anyone help me out in this case.

u ahve to use the COPY window to PRINT like this.. in the Normat even if you use the SFSY-COPYCOUNT it won't work.
wht u ahve to do is crete a WINDOW (Type COPIES WINODOW) then insert the same as u did... or just change teh Window type to COPIES window it will be fine.

Problem with printing footer of table in Smartforms

Hi Gurus!
I have created a table in a window in Smartforms. I need to put in the totals at the footer of the table, displaying these values only at the end of the page. The problem I have encountered is that the footer prints immediately after the line of the main area. The form i'm printing right now is pre-printed, so I need to write the footer at a specified area.
Let's say my table accommodates 20 lines. The footer must be written immediately after the 20th line. If, on the last page, there are only 10 lines, the footer must still print on the area after the 20th line.
Really need your help guys, i'm hoping for a quick response. Thanks!

I need to put both the main area and the footer in the same loop because there is a field where, when changed, it must page-break. The fields/values in the main area and the footer are all part of a sub-table that depends on a field of a bigger table.
my smartform looks like this:
Loop at header table.
   if order number changes, start new page.
   loop at table x.
       main area - print items of the table where order_number = header_table-order_number.
       footer - print totals of the table where order_number = header_table-order_number.
Endloop
So you see, i need to place the footer inside the loop also. It's the only way I know to work around this.

Setting print copy count in CS6

I'm a printer driver maintainer not a typical Photoshop user, so I'm not sure this is the right forum for my question as it is more of a techincal question about how Photoshop is working under the hood.
The issue I'm having involves setting the number of copies to print in Photoshop's print dialog. Most applications I've worked with will set the dmCopies of the DEVMODE to this value and send a single page to be printed. Photoshop, however, is setting dmCopies to "1" (even if the default DEVMODE provide by my driver has dmCopies set to another value) and sending several identical pages to the driver. Obviously this can slow down printing dramatically when the copy count is in the hundreds.
I've observed the same behavior from Photoshop when printing with 3rd party drivers, so it doesn't seem issolated to the drivers I maintain.
My question is, does Photoshop always send multiple copies of an image as individual pages, or is it trying to set the copy count through an interface I don't support? If it is using a different interface to set the copy count what interface is it using?

Photoshop is trying to set the copy count, but through whatever the latest API is on both Mac and Windows (I've lost track) -- so older model drivers may be getting odd information from the OS translation of the newer APIs.

Problem in converting to PDF (in the smartform)

Hello Eddy and Jashandeep,
 Fought for a while with the smartform and called it in my BSP Application.But here i faced a problem.The sequence is as follows -->
1, I Created a smartform and wrote the code as given by
 Mr.Eddy(weblog on PDF by Craig) in my BSP Application.
2, I executed my BSP Application.
3, Got the tableview on the page.
4, Selected the 4rth Radiobutton in the list and then pressed Display.
5, My application went for a dump saying :
 "An exception with the type
 CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE occurred, but was neither
 handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause"
Could u guys tell me what was the problem in my case.
a. I think that there is problem in my Smart form!!
 In my application I have the final table containing
 18 fields.
 But in smartform i declared the table in the
 forminterface of type mcdata as i cannot define my 18
 fields type in the interface.
SO a type mismatch may occured due to this and a dump was generated ...i guess it is so....
PLease help me to come-out of this problem.
2, Plz help me in understand the following toooo.....
 Why do we have 6 radio buttons for the PDF
 conversion ?
 a. The requirement is to download the table into a PDF.
 Can U plz tell me what is the purpose of each
 radiobutton.
And a browse option is also given.
Why is this required when we have the content to be downloaded to PDF on the page itself in the form of a table ?

 I did that.
It's working in the SmartForm and in now it's working in my layout also.
But,the spool output is not the output of my table-view.
can u tell me what may be the reason ?

Problem in printing multiple main window in smartforms

Hi Experts,
I have requirement form client to print PO which consists of 4 page.
First page is cosists of header and some text.
In second page different header and line item.
Thirs page different header and line item.
4th page different header and line item.
I have printed tex in main window of first page and called command to trigger
second page main window, but i am getting dump.
How to print the line item in the multiple page of smartforms.

Hello ,
To print the text below are following steps which you can follow for your requirement :
1. Create the Four pages having the Main Window, but take care that Logic should be in First Page Main window only , other pages main window will be blank.
2. Create the Secondary Window in second, third & fourth page which will be same size as the main window having the text which need to be print in respective pages.
3. Logic Part - in the main window of first page fill all the data which you need to print in 1st to 4th page in different internal table. Now for example you need to print text in first page then in Main window create table having the data of 1st page.
To print data in Second page create one more table having data of secondpage and put the Command there (follow the same for next pages,)

How to print SUM & COUNT at the end of the XML template

I am generating a payment file in oracle Payments and at the end of the file, I would also like to add a trailer record with sum of the payments and number of payments. Can anyone have any suggestions on having a trailer record with SUM & COUNT.

You can use,
COUNT and SUM of the column to get those values.
In extext, add a new record and add these function on columns.

Print problem. trying to print a document in Preview, the start of the text prints half way down the page not at the top of the page?

Print problems. Printing out an email the text starts half way down the page. I tried taking a picture of the text I wanted to print, tried to print from Preview and have the same problem. If anyone has any ideas I would really apreciate it. Thanks Penny

One more thing to check: System Preferences/Print & Scan. Make sure your printer is set as Default.
I'm using OS X 10.8 and I don't see Page Setup anymore. If you have access to Page Setup, check to see if there are any adjustments to make there.

Print multiple copies of a smartforms in a one spool request

Dear all,
I've a network printer "HP Laserjet 4250" configured with an output accessory "Sheet Stapler/Stacker".
With these accessory all pages of the same spool are stapled together.
For transaction VL02N we would print n copies of the same delivery using smartforms in this printer, so all copies will be stapled.
The problem is that in SPAD Copy Counter options if we set the choice "Pass copy counter to the host spool system" only one copy is printed;
it seems that copy counter parameters has no effects.
If we set the choice "Pass copies as separate Output Requests", the spool system will send a separate print request for each copy of a document to be printed; but with this option multiple copies are not stapled since they belong to different spool.
SAP System is ERP 6.0 EHP5 based on windows /SQL 2008 and the last kernel patch.
Any idea to solve the problem ?

Hello,
By default the number of copies is transferred to the OS host spooler
and handled by it.
The flag to pass copies is set in the Output Device definition via
transaction SPAD as follows:
SPAD -> Output Device -> <Output Device name> -> Output Attributes ->
'Pass Copy Counter to Host Spool System'
Can you please change this flag to:
'Pass Copies as Separate Output Request(in SAP System)'

Problem with printing from Acrobat Reader XI

SInce I installed Acrobat Reader XI I have got problems with printing out pages. The text starts a bit down (2 cm) on the paper, resulting that the last part of the text on the page will be missing. And the missing part does not follow on page 2, it just don´t comes out!
It doesn´t matter what settings i click in on the print setting page in Acrobat Reader, it always gets the same result.
Does anyone know what can be the problem?

No files appeared in C:\Users\Pavilion\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings but they did appear in Distiller.
I tried to copied them from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Settings, but found they were already there. I copied them by adding -COPY before .joboptions in the name. Now they appeared in Printing Preferences with the -COPY added.
I tested a print from Word (using File / Print), but was not prompted for the filename or location. I checked my entire system and couldn't find the PDF file anywhere. I tried changing the Port to Desktop\*.pdf using Printer Properties, but that didn't work either.
I was able to successfully use the Acrobat menu item in Word & Excel to create a PDF but it automatically created the file on the Desktop without an option to change the filename.
After several days and hours, I gave up and installed Acrobat X on the W7 computer. I can still use Acrobat XI on the W8 computer. So be it!

Problem in print out with English characters (THANGSAN font)

Hi Experts!!
I have created a smartform and print program which should actually print some Thai characters and English characters too. I created a smartstyle and have some 10 paragraph formats and are all have THANGSAN font. So, I am printing all the thai and english characters in THANGSAN font only.
When print preview is seen, the output is very fine, but when being printed, the thai characters are appearing fine but the english characters' font is being changed to somehting else (courier or arial). Why is this happening so? Because of this, all the output is being merged and looking very weird.
The smartform is created in EN and is translated to all languages. All user has logged on to SAP in EN language.
Can somebody please help me out with whether the problem is with THANGSAN or the printer?
P.S. The smartform is actually similar to the standard script Z_RVINVOICE01 in which only THANGSAN is used.

Is it possible to get direct print without preview of the Smart Form?

Hi,
I developed a custom report where line items are coming with a check-box in front of each item. User can select single/multiple line-items by checking those check-boxes. The report also has a PRINT button in application tool bar by clicking which a Smart Form will be printing for each item. Thats mean, for 10 selected line items, 10 forms will be printed.
But, after clicking the PRINT button, print preview of the form is coming and from there I can go for a print/printer. I do not need the print preview and want to have the direct print option while clicking the PRINT button. How can I have this functionality?

How to print a tickbox in SAP smartform

Dear All,
Can anyone help as to how to print a tickbox in the smartform.
A tickbox is a blank checkbox with a tick in between.
The symbols <697>(Crossed checkbox) and <727>(Blank Checkbox) do not serve my user requirement.

HI, i ve got a big problem.
i 've to create an A0 page in vectorial pdf, which has connected different files: .psd files for the images with transparency, and vectorial .pdf for the drawings from cad.
When i ve created my page, i export that in print pdf high quality.
1° problem: sometimes it fails and tells me there s not enough memory
2° problem: when print pdf is created, the plotter can t load it to print, it stops at 40% loading.
there s a way to make an easy vectorial print pdf?
using vectorial eps instead of vectorial pdf?
using transparent tiff instead of psd?

i don t like to use illustrator too, im using 3 programs already to create this poster. do u think .ai are easier than eps???
i ve tryed to save new pdf without layers, but it didn t work. then i ve tryed to change pdf with eps on indesign, and now the print pdf saving is really faster. im gonna try to plot it and then i ll tell u what s changed.
OH most important, i was drag n dropping pdf into indesign, and i read it s really wrong! so now i import vector eps to indesign ...

Problem with Printing from Spool

Dear Experts,
I am facing the problem with Printing, Once i press the Print button, the spool is generated. But Instead of giving one page, It is generating the more than one page. Some times, the last page its getting is blank. I am confused how this happens.

Problem with printing-- logo comes upside down

Hi ,
We have some problem with printing.
While testing the print output for billing we are experiencing some problems. Every thing in the layout looks fine in the print preview but when i take a print out in my local printer , i see the client logo comes upside down and some lines are missing .
Can some body suggest me how to correct the same.

We have checked the printer earlier also and seems to be fine.
Aditional info:
1) We are getting this problem while printing Billing from "VF01" transaction.
2) In this also we have two invoice numbers given by functional guy out of which in for one we are getting the problem that "lines of the first box are not printing" and for second "logo is coming inverted & lines of the first box are not printing"
