Hi,
NoClassDefFoundError signifies that there is a classpath problem.
May be you are missing some critical jars in your classpath
for ex. weblogic.jar, jdk's rt.jar or something else.
You need to find this out.

Unable to start the weblogic server from windows environment
Hi All,
In our training system we have installed the SOA 11g and it worked fine till today afternoon. We have logged off the admin user in windows account and logged with our login credentials into windows after that we are unable to start the weblogic server.
- Earlier in the DOS command prompt we used to navigate to the path where the startWeblogic.cmd file located and then we execute the command, after that we will able to see the status message as RUNNING MODE in the bottom of the screen, and when ever we deploy an project using Jdeveloper in the weblogic server window some messages will appended based on the action.
- Only when we issue the command to shut down the weblogic server at that time only the command will be back to the path from where we started the server.
- After login to windows with our account, when we tried to start the weblogic server, it didn't throw any error instead of that after running few lines in the command window the prompt was back in to the (D:\Middleware\.....\Domains\bin)path from where we ran the command to start the server.
Please help us to resolve the issue asap.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
SathyaseelanHi,
Make sure that the user which you are using to start weblogic server should be part of Administrator group or the group to which your admin user belongs to.

I have installed all components for the OAM server and have gotten it up and running following docs located at
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40329_01/install.1112/e49521/install.htm#BABLBHBC
When starting the stack, I find that I have to open three separate xTerm windows for starting the WebLogic server, the NodeManager and the ManagedWebLogicServer (oam_server1). These windows have to be kept open until you decide to stop the servers.
Is there anyway to start the servers with 'nohup' so that they are running in the background? If someone inadvertently kills the VNC sessions, that will mean that the services that were started in that particular vnc session will also be killed.
There has to be another way around this.....and I'm looking to see if anyone on here can help with suggestions.

Starting the weblogic server on the local machine
Hi,
Whenever, I start the weblogic server locally, I get the following warning.
<Warning> <Application Poller> <BEA-149417> <Another process is using this file 'domains\..\autodeploy\filename'. The server will attempt to deploy the application once it is unlocked by the other process.>
How do I get around that. I cannot think of any other application using or locking that folder.
Thank you for your help.Hi Ram,
Can you verify if you installed WLS as a windows service when you installed it the first time ?
If yes, can you stop the running service and try again
Cheers

NitinMost of the time this error is coming from a wrong psservername parameter definition in configuration.properties of your Webserver. Be sure you can ping the servername or IP address defined, and the port is the Jolt port of the AppServer domain.
Please, show us what's the value. And also your PTools, Weblogic, Tuxedo version and OS used.

Problem whle starting the SOA server.
Hi,
I have Installed Oracle SOA suite in a server. I have created a domain and with in that domain, there is Admin server, Soa server and BAM server. They were working fine. But when I tried to re-start them recently , the Admin server was showing the warning
<Mar 3, 2010 10:42:58 PM PST> <Warning> <JDBC> <BEA-001129> <Received exception while creating connection for pool "mds-SpacesDS": ORA-28001: the password has expired>
but still I am able to access teh web logic console of the admin server.
When I try to start the SOA server it gives the message
Internal Exception: weblogic.jdbc.extensions.ConnectionDeadSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: ORA-28001: the password has expired
The same is the case with the BAM server also . The console of BAM server is showing the message
Internal Exception: weblogic.jdbc.extensions.ConnectionDeadSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: ORA-28001: the password has expired.
I have used SYSTEM user credentials while installaing the SOA-SUITE. I have changed and re-set the password for that user. But That did not help.
can any one please let me know how this issue can be resolved. Please contact me if any more info is needed.
Thanks in advance for your time,
Raj KumarHi Raj,
Have you created any connection pool with name "mds-SpacesDS"?
ORA-28001: the password has expiredAbove error shows that account of username, used in the DataSource of connection pool "mds-SpacesDS", has expired and password should be changed. After changing the pasword of DB user, mention the same in your Data-Source as well. Update the DBAdapter to refresh the connection pool.

Problem in starting the web-server after configuring .so on AIX
I am trying to configure a .so file in iplanet fasttrack web server 4.1 on AIX 4.3. I have build the .so file on IBM AIX 4.3. But while starting the web-server it failed to start. It fails when I include the following in obj.conf "Init fn="test-init" config="ConfigFile". While starting web-server I got the following :
server terminated (signal 11): watchdog is restarting it
failure: server initialization failed
Any pointers on this would be helpful.I got similar errors in the past when the web server process was running in the background. Sometimes shutting down WAS does not work.
Before you start WAS ensure that no java process is running or better try rebooting. -
Problem in starting the weblogic 5.1 server
I am yet to deploy the bean in the ejbdeployer. When I start it from the startup
start-> programs-> weblogic 5.1-> ejbdeployer
the weblogic screen opens and remain as it is.
I have tried the same in
d:\weblogic\bin\ejbdeployer
I got a exception as
java.lang.StringIndexoutofBoundException: String index out of range -1
and unable to open the deployer.
Help needed
Thanks in advance.
javasanswhile you tried to deploy a jar you will be getting error at some times.
if error occurs ejbdeployer.prop file will be created under the weblogic root directory. pls delete it before restart your ejbdeployer next time.
