Problem in using Command sequences in Javascript in WAD
Hi,
I have created a WAD template in BEx 3.5 with multiple Web items (Tables & Charts). On the WAD there is an input field wherein the user enters the date and clicks on a button. The button click invokes a Javascript function to process certain commands (build together in a command sequence).
The command sequence is as follows:

"%26VAR_VALUE_EXT_2%3D" + datef.DATE_1.value + "&CMD_1=ITEM%3DCHART_1%26CAPTION%3D" + c_hdr_1
+ "&CMD_2=ITEM%3DCHART_2%26CAPTION%3D" + c_hdr_2;
Note: datef.DATE_1.value, c_hdr_1 and c_hdr_2 are custom run time variables declared in my HTML / Javascript function.
The data providers by default are executed for the current date if no date is entered by the user which is the case when the web application is first executed.
The first command is to re-execute the Data Providers to get the data as per the date entered by the user. This command is for changing the relevant variables in the variable screen and executing it to get the data from the data providers.
The second and third command modify the caption of the web items CHART_1 and CHART_2 respectively.
When i execute the command sequence the first command seems NOT to be executed(expected change in data not visible in the web items) while the second and third command seem to be executed as the heading of web items is modified.
Before building the command sequence i had tested the each of the commands in isolation and it worked as expected i.e.
First Command: The data in the web items changed as per the date entered by the user
Second & Third Command: Heading of the web item changed
Why is the first command in the command sequence not getting executed with the desired result?

Using command button to select query - WAD 7.0
Hello all
Can anyone please tell me how to configure a command button (button group) to display a particular query in WAD 7.0?
Here's what I mean -
I have a web template with three queries. I have inserted 3 command buttons on the template. I want to assign one button to one query, so that the users can select which of the three they want to view. Which Command do I select in the command wizard to do this? Also, is it possible to hide the other two queries, when one is selected?

Here is one approach - Keep three analysis items in the WT. Assign three different data providers to all three analysis items. If you do not want to show any query when the WT first loads, don't assign any query to the data providers. When a button is pushed, you can use the command SET_DATA_PROVIDER_PARAMATERS to assign a query to a DP so that that query will show up.
Other commands that will help you would be SET_ITEM_PARAMETERS using which you can hide analysis items and also, you can use the command BACK_TO_INITIAL_DP_STATE on data providers so that they do not show up if they were blank at the start.
Another way to hide a query is to assign the analysis item to a data provider which is blank.
For your requirements, you will have to put multiple commands behind each button - you can decide which of the above commands suit you best. -
Command Sequence in Command URL
Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with a command sequence using the Web Template as a Web Item. The command resets data providers TOPN1 and TOPN3 to new queries.
I have the following command sequence in a Web Template:

The command sequence is working correctly in this Web Template, template SUBTEMPLATE. However, this template is being called in another web template, MASTERTEMPLATE, via the web template item. When the command is called as part of MASTERTEMPLATE, only the first DataProvider, 'TOPN1', is being reset. The second dataprovider, 'TOPN3', is not being reset.
I am running BW 3.5. Just to reiterate, when called as a standalone web template, the command sequence works correctly. When called as part of another web template, the command sequence is only resetting the first dataprovider in the command sequence. Has anyone come across something like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a similar issue under BW 3.5 except that I have not had any success with command sequences. I have web templates that I use as menus to get to the web template that has the command sequence assigned to a button. When I change the command in the command sequence to handle either of the commands as a single command it works fine.
I noticed that you used double quotes on the CMD_1 string whereas examples I have seen use single quotes. I don't know if that is the issue.
I'm not helping you much but at least you know you are not alone with this issue.
If I have any success in overcoming it I will let you know.

TestStand crashes if I'm using "Diff Sequence Files"
If I am using "Diff Sequence Files", TestStand (2.0.1f1) immeadetly closes without any messages, and I've to restart TestStand again.
Same happens rarely if I run my TestStand application (e.g. after testing 75 UUT's). I've got this bug by using the Secuence editor as well by using an operator interface.
Win XP, Nt4, LabView 6i
Any ideas how to fix that, or how to debug if everything is closed.

this problem happens with different sequence files. Sometimes the System Exception �System Exception Error Code: -17502� is shown.
But there are also files where I haven�t any problem by using �Diff Sequence Files�. For your information: all files have the same structure.
Attached you�ll find the 2 files where the problem occurs every time without an Error Code.
But the other serious problems are the crashes while running the TestStand application. That means during the test the TestStand application would close without any messages. And this problem occurs very rarely and I�ve haven�t got a chance to debug.
Any hints will be appreciated

Using Firefox 4 & Windows 7. Everytime I start Firefox from a shortcut to a website it comes up with the following error 'there was a problem sending the command to the program'. The requested website does load after this. with no problems.
If a shortcut is used while Firefox is already open the error does not occur.As reported in earlier replies, the annoyance disappeared after I upgraded to Roboform 7.5.6, from 7.5.4.

Hey! I had the same problem you did just today when I was trying to get my second iPhone to sync. What you need to do with music or anything extra that you doing you have to creat a second playlist or picture or anything that you would like to use, so that you can add to the second device that you are going to be using. I am not sure if that will help but it helped me out a lot!! Good luck!

I have lot of sequences and I want to create Test Sequence Documentation in HTML format using Command Line automatically, is there a way to automate this task using .bat file or using C# .NetIf you aren't able to figure out how to call a C++ DLL in .net then there may be another option. Unfortunately I don't know how to do this off the top of my head and I don't have an example.
The other option would be to change docgen.seq a little bit to the dialog doesn't display and you just hardcode the options. Then you can use a command line to call testexec.exe: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370052K-01/tsfundamentals/infotopics/startup_opt/

I just installed Adobe InDesign CC 2014 and now I can't scale objects/type using Command+Shift Key. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, any solution?
There is a conflict with third party software or your system keyboard shortcuts. Lately, there have been many postings about conflicts with Chrome extensions so check there first.

I am trying to execute a link in a web page that requires a command sequence.
The second command CMD_2 is a javascript function.

Am having intermittent difficulty rendering in FCE. Using the Sequence menu sometimes delivers results and Command R fails every time. Most frustrating. Any thoughts from anyone? Thanks.

If no good reason, such as the one suggested by Silkrooster, is present, you may try the list, hoping for one of the easy ones at the top.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:

5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);

6) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

When I click on a desktop icon and access a site via Firefox I get the message "There was a problem sending the command to the program". This started to happen after I downloaded the most recent version of Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and the message still comes up every time. The site will come up about three seconds after the message appears but the message is a real pain to put up with. What is the problem? I am ready to dump Firefox and go to Opera.

Time machine backups are failing. I've followed the instructions I found on the Time Machine troubleshooting page (http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html) but have gotten to where I don't know what to do next.
Sequence of events:
The main error message is always:
An error occurred while copying files. The problem could be temporary. If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to repair your backup disk.
Yesterday, I opened Disk Utility and verified the disk. Got this error:
Error: This disk needs to be repaired using the Recovery HD. Restart your computer, holding down the Command key and the R key until you see the Apple logo. When the OS X Utilities window appears, choose Disk Utility.
I ran Disk Utility and repaired the hard drive. Then I manually started the backup before going to bed, figuring it was going to take a long time to run. When I got up this morning, the backup had failed with the same "could be temporary" error. I checked the log, which says:

TeryYou have repaired your boot drive (which is good) but have you repaired your time machine drive? I don't own a Time Capsule so I don't know if disk utility can operate on it. If it can, you should repair it as well. You may need to erase it and start a new backup. That happens to time machine volumes from time to time and is why people who are serious about their data never rely on a single source of backup.

viClear calls the ibclr NI-488.2 function. The ibclr function sends the following bus commands according to the NI-488.2 Software reference Manual:
ibclr calls the board function ibcmd to send the following commands using the designated access board:
� Talk address of access board
� Unlisten (UNL)
� Listen address of the device
� Secondary address of the device, if applicable
� Selected Device Clear (SDC)
