Problem loading interclient Driver
Hello,
I have a problem with connection to interbase using jdbc :
I try to do like this :
try{
class.forname("interbase.interclient.Driver");
}catch (ClassNotFoundException e){System.out.println(e.getMessage());}
but allways the compilator show error message...
I Know I have installed InterClient on my windows machine and the CLASSPATH cotain the path of the "interclient.jar"...
also I tested the command : "java interbase.interclient.utils.CommDiag" and it show me the following message :
InterClient Release: 2.0.1 Test Build, Client/Server Edition
InterClient compatible JRE versions: 1.2
InterClient compatible IB versions: 5, 6
InterClient driver name: interbase.interclient.Driver
InterClient JDBC protocol: jdbc:interbase:
InterClient JDBC protocol version: 20001
InterClient expiration date: no expiration date
Testing database URL jdbc:interbase:///.
***** Error or Exception Occurred *****
java.lang.VerifyError: (class: interbase/interclient/ErrorKey, method: _$372 signature: (Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;I)V) Expecting to find unitialized object on stack
***** Installation problem detected! *****
I hope that anyone can help me :-(
thanks
try{
class.forname("interbase.interclient.Driver");
}catch (ClassNotFoundException
e){System.out.println(e.getMessage());}Is this piece of code exactly the way you have written? The I think you have a problem of case-sensitivity. Your code should be:
try { Class.forName("interbase.interclient.Driver");
} catch(ClassNotFoundException e) {e.getMessage(); }Check this!

Problem loading jdbc driver in Tomcat
Hi,
I have got a connection to MySQL5.0 from TomCat 5.5.13, that was test correctly in development (JSC Upd 1) but I encounter the following deployment error :
com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.ApplicationException: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot load JDBC driver class 'com.mysql.jdbc.Driver'
When I verify, I found that if I put the mysql Connector JDBC driver in <tomcat>/common/lib, there is no error.
But when the MySql Connector JDBC driver resides in <tomcat>/shared/lib, the error persists.
What's the difference ? shouldn't it work for both ?
Thanks in advance for any pointers and advise.hmm... i guess that it's a must to include the lib at /common/lib instead of shared/lib .
Is there a Tomcat resource that I can read up on ?

Beginner Has Problem With Loading JDBC Driver Using MySQL
Hi, I am having problem with loading JDBC driver, and need your diagnotic help.
1. I have installed MySQL (C:\mysql), created a databse (soup), and created a littel table (VIDEOS). I am able to see the table in the console:
sql> select * from videos
2. I have downloaded the latest version of Connector/J (mysql-connector-java-3.1.0-alpha.zip), and unzip the zip file into my C:\ directory.
3. I copied the mysql-connector-java-3.1.0-alpha-bin.jar to the C:\j2sdk1.4.1_02\jre\lib\ext folder and it is in my CLASSPATH
4. MySQL server is running
C:\> C:\mysql\bin\mysqld-nt --standalone
5. open another DOS window and use the database
mysql>USE SOUP
6. succesfully compiled a Java program (javac Test.java):
import java.sql.* ;
public class Test
public static void main( String[] args )
try
Class.forName("org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver").newInstance();
try
Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection( "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/soup" );
try
Statement statement = con.createStatement();
ResultSet rs = statement.executeQuery("SELECT TITLE FROM VIDEOS");
while ( rs.next() )
System.out.println( rs.getString( "TITLE" ) );
rs.close();
statement.close();
catch ( SQLException e )
System.out.println( "JDBC error: " + e );
finally
con.close();
catch( SQLException e )
System.out.println( "could not get JDBC connection: " + e );
catch( Exception e )
System.out.println( "could not load JDBC driver: " + e );
7. when I run the Java program (java Test), I got
the message:
could not load JDBC driver: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver
What am I missing?Hi,
I missed to specify test in my last post.
Try running your program by explicitly setting the classspath when
running your program . java -classpath c:\mysql-connector-java-3.1.0-alpha-bin.jar test
Make sure your jar file contains org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver class -
Problem loading some Audio CD's - Drive does not recognize them
I am having problems with the drive not reading some CD Audio books. I do not know when this started but
it is starting to become a pain. It may have started after I updated to 10.6.
How do I get it to recognize these CD's? I have some old books I wanted to listen to again and
some new ones from the library that won't load but sill work in my CD player.You drive may need cleaning. Use a drive cleaning kit. Make sure your discs are not dirty, scratched or marked in any way. You may need to change disc brands in some cases.

My relatively new ipod touch 16 gb either does not show up as a drive or everytime says it does not recognize my ipod when connected to add music. I didn't have problems loading music originally, but this is a new occurrence. Could you help?
Hey, Thanks a lot. It took quite a bit of time to resurrect this ipod. I tried the upgrade again, but still would not recognize my ipod. So I went to the next step and reset my ipod, wiping of all of the information like it was new. This helped my laptop see the ipod on itunes, but did not sync. So, I deleted the itunes off my computer completely, restarted and then reinstalled the newest itunes, and then restarted. Finally, it recognized my ipod and started to download each song. It took awhile as there was 602 songs, but finally it works. Yea!!! I never had any problem with my old nano, but this touch has been another animal for sure. Thank you again and also the community for information. This was a helpful forum and will recommend to others if they get stuck with their ipod or iphone. Take care, Karen

Unable to load mySql Driver in Java class invoked using bpelx:exec
Hi ,
I am trying to connect to mysql database in my java class.when i run this class in Jdeveloper it loads the driver without any problem.I can chk the log in the Jdev messages area.Now I am invoking this class from the BPEL process through <bpelx activity.But when i run my BPEL process it throws runtime exception "classNotFoundException:unable to load com.mysql.jdbc.Driver".I have set the project properties ->libraries to the class path of the mysql jar file as well.
Now if i try to connect with the Oracle driver then it is working fine.
I know this is a classpath issue.Can anyone tell me if there are some other settings to make it work fine.
the java code :
System.out.println("in getConnection method");
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance();
System.out.println("loaded Driver :");
String url="jdbc:mysql://ntlv014:3306/wx";
_jdbcConnection = DriverManager.getConnection(url,"development","ber1nger");
System.out.println("Got Connection :"+_jdbcConnection.isClosed());I think you have 2 options..
either put the jar for the mysql in the classpath on the server...or try something like this :
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=17&threadID=633158
try to put the jar of the mysql into the suitecase of the bpel.
never seen this coming around...so..it's just a wild guess.
ORABPEL-11622 Could not create/access the TopLink Session
spendem got the same situation...the puts the libraries in the applib-dir

Unable to Load USB Driver in LV for Total Phase's Aardvark I2C adaptor
I have tried to instal Total Phase's Aardvark I2C USB driver for LabVIEW on two computers and two versions of LV (8.5 and 7.1) without success. The Windows driver seems to be working fine as their command center gui terminal-esque program works without a hitch, but the LV DLL doesn't seem to work.
Attached is the very simple vi to find connected Aardvark USB devices (aa_find_devices). It always returns the same error code, 8002, which resolves to:
AA_UNABLE_TO_LOAD_DRIVER
-2
unable to load USB driver
From their documentation: http://www.totalphase.com/docs/aardvark_datasheet/sect005/#s5.9
This looks like perhaps the LabVIEW DL, "aardvark.dll" maybe having a versioning issue. So my question is this: Using LabVIEW, how does one debug dll dependencies and resolve issues like this? Do I need the source code for the lib?
Cheers,
Joe Gorse

find_devices.vi 11 KBDear Joe,
Let me start off by apologizing for the inconvenience you
have gone through. I am an engineer at Total Phase. We are
working on fixing this issue for our next release of the
Aardvark LabVIEW Driver. This forum post was only brought
to our attention today. In the future, you can also let
Total Phase know about these kinds of issues by emailing
[email protected] We are very responsive through
email or phone.
The problem you are experiencing has to do with versioning
issues between our DLL and USB driver. Specifically, DLLs
before v5.xx must use the older version of our USB driver.
By replacing the DLL from our latest version of Control
Center, you have effectively upgraded the DLL that the
LabVIEW driver is using and made it compatible with v2.xx of
the USB driver.
The most likely reason that smercurio_fc did not see a
difference between the DLL in Aardvark Control Center and
the LabVIEW driver is because he is using an older version
of Control Center and correspondingly an older version of
the USB driver.
The reason that we have not packaged the LabVIEW driver with
latest DLL is due to the fact that a few functions have
changed their function prototypes (for example aa_open_ext
and aa_spi_write), and the VIs have not yet been updated
accordingly. Although updating the DLL solved your USB
driver issue, it introduced this new issue. If you try to
use these certain VIs, LabVIEW will error out.
We are currently working on updating the LabVIEW drivers to
work cohesively with the new DLL and USB driver, and this
should be available soon. If you need immediate
availability to the functions with new prototypes you will
have to change it manually. The other recommended option is
to simply revert back to the DLL that is packaged with our
LabVIEW driver and downgrade the USB driver back to v1.xx.
I will make sure to post again once the update is released,
and I once again apologize for the inconvenience.
Best regards,
Etai -
Unable to load the driver???
Hi,
I am facing problem in loading the driver..
Following is the set up..
classpath=.;c:\;d:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib;
Oracle client is installed on my machine. path is
d:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib\classes111.zip;
jdk installed is..
c:\jdk1.2.2;
I am trying to do this to load the driver
Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
program is compiling successfully, throwing the exception.
"ClassNotFoundException"
Can anyone tell me what is the problem . What else I need to do to load the driver
Thanks in AdvanceAdd the classes111.zip file to your env var CLASSPATH.
Test this by running the following at the command line.
java oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
If you get a class not found error then your classpath is wrong. If you get a method not found (main) then your classpath is right. Do not run your application until this works. -
Hi all,
I am getting the following error while running the servlet.
Error:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver,
The above error arise while I try to access a data from the database table using servlet through browser, but the same driver works well in jdbc program(jdbc alone).
Here is how I am load the driver:
Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver");
con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://NODE1:1433","**","**");
con.setCatalog("senthil");
Here is my software specification:
Tomcat5.5.26,
MS SQL Server 2000 Driver.
Looking forward to your reply,
Thanks in advance,
Senthil.Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I am using the Eclipse IDE, and it doesn't shows any error while I save the servlet source file.
Please find the below source code:
*1. JDBC program to retrive data from the database table: No issue works well.*
The below source code works well and I used it to retrive the data from the database table using the jdbc.Here there is no problem, the source code works well.
package pak;
import java.sql.*;
import java.io.*;
class UserDataDemo
public static void main(String args[])
Connection con;
ResultSet result;
try
Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver");
con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://NODE1:1433","user_name","password");
con.setCatalog("datadase_name");
Statement stat=con.createStatement();
result=stat.executeQuery("select * from table_name");
while(result.next())
System.out.println("**************************************");
System.out.println("Name :"+result.getString(1));
System.out.println("Company :"+result.getString(2));
System.out.println("Position:"+result.getString(3));
System.out.println("Emp Id :"+result.getInt(4));
System.out.println("Place :"+result.getString(5));
catch(Exception e)
System.out.println(e);
*2.Issue: Servlet program used to retrive data from the data base table through jdbc:*
Here I am getting above said error : java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
Please note, here I dosen't get any compile time error(i.e, eclipse ide doesn't shows any error while saving this file).
import javax.servlet.*;
import javax.servlet.http.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.sql.*;
public class ServletTest extends HttpServlet
String name;
ResultSet result;
PrintWriter pw;
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req,HttpServletResponse res)throws ServletException,IOException
Connection con;
try
res.setContentType("text/html");
pw=res.getWriter();
Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver");
con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://NODE1:1433","user_name","password");
con.setCatalog("database_name");
Statement stat=con.createStatement();
result=stat.executeQuery("select * from table_name");
while(result.next())
pw.println(result.getString(1));
catch(Exception e)
pw.println(e);
Also please note, I have no problem in running the servlet alone.
Looking forward to your reply,
Thanks,
Senthil. -
[SOLVED] XOrg fails to load Nvidia driver on startup
Hi,
I'm having a fairly strange issue where XOrg is failing to load my driver when I start up my laptop. I'm using kdm, but this is causing it to fail. However, doing a simple
$sudo systemctl restart kdm
works, and everything starts up fine. When kdm is in the failed state, I see this:
$sudo systemctl status kdm
● kdm.service - K Display Manager

And in my XOrg log, I see:

Does anyone know what might be going on here?
Last edited by straemer (2014-12-20 13:03:58)Hmmmm, that doesn't seem to be the issue. I have a nvidia geforce gtx 670mx. The nvidia website does link me to the 340xx driver for that card, but downgrading to that version still has the same issue. I suspect the issue is in Xorg, since it seems to load the module, but then decides it doesn't have a driver to run for some reason.

I have a Toshiba Satellite U505-S2975.
When I try to insert a disc into my slot-loading disc drive, the drive will not grip onto the cd and suck it in. Nothing happens at all. Also, I noticed that the d-drive was not showing up under my computer. Does anyone have any possible solutions to this problem?I tried the solution and it didn't work also, I have windows 7.
