Problem to call international with Siri

Dear,
I tried to call a friend with Siri and Siri says that it cannot call the number.The number starts with "+ country code and phone number". When I do that normally (with the phone keyboard) it works. Do you have the solution?

Problem starting an app with Siri via Bluetooth

I want to use my iphone 5s without taking it out of my pocket in my car via my bluetooth Flexsmart X2. I am able to use Siri and start a navigation with no problem. The problem is when I try to start Slacker radio, it asks to type in my pin.
Is there anyway to get around this without disabling passcode?

Try spraying random characters out to the screen whilst the user is typing in the password.
(not my idea, I saw someone else do this)

Calling internationally with Facetime on an iPhone

I just got an iPhone 4S on Saturday, so forgive me if this is a n00b question. How much would it cost, if anything, to make an international call with Facetime? I live in the US and a friend of mine lives in the UK. We both have iPhones and we can text with iMessage, but I wasn't sure if it'd also be free to use Facetime to do it as well.

All FaceTime calls are done over WiFi, thus they are free(unless you're paying for the WiFi connection).

After installing iOS 5.1 I can no longer call people with Siri without unlocking the phone

Is this an intended change of behavior? How can I get this functionality back? I was using it all the time. Now I have to dig my phone out of my pocket and unlock it to make a call even if I am using a handsfree headset.

That was the first thing I tried. I then spent several minutes hunting through menus for any kind of new option. I didn't find any, and the one you suggested was already on and doesn't seem to work.

I've just paid a monthly unlimited subscription to call landlines in Italy from the UK, but when I try to call a number from Benevento, the call doesn't connect.
I haven't founf the list of cities available for Italy, is there any?
Do you know why I can't call?

Having problem with siri on calling someone

Hi.. i'm having a problem with siri when calling someone..it says " i can't call using that number "
Im from Mauritius, our mobile number having been migrated into 8-digits since 1 month. I'd turn off siri, reset setting.. its the same!
whats wrong with that?

Seriously, what's the problem with Siri since the iOS 7 upgrade?

I don't know if it's just the fault of iOS 7 or not because I only have one Siri capable device and so I can't compare. But since upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 7, Siri has definitely gotten much much slower, and sometimes ends up with the "Sorry I can't take your request now" response, which I never saw in iOS 6.
I've heard other people complain too.
Is it an iOS 7 problem? Has Apple changed Siri since releasing iOS 7?
With all their money, why can't they add enough servers to handle the load?
I'm on high-speed wifi almost all the time, and the pauses, delays and non-responsiveness has gotten seriously annoying. I used to miss Siri when I went from my iPhone 5 to my iPad 2, and was thinking of upgrading to the next iPad because of Siri (for one thing). But as of late I would classify Siri as more annoying than useful.
Are other people also having problems with Siri?

I assume you are joking. Like why after a year would I suddenly start holding my iPhone 5 differently immediately after the iOS 7 upgrade?

I am trying to call somebody with Siri and it tells me it cannot find that person on my contacts even when it's there, does anybody have the same issue? DO you know what's wrong? or how can we fix it?

I just fixed the issue, I restarted my iPhone pressing both buttons (On/off-Sleep/wake & Home) for a few seconds and when turning the iPhone on SIri is working great as it used to work before the upgrade.

I have a problem with Siri. Often when I say "call [name of person in contacts] ... home" Siri says there is no home number for [name of person]. But there is!

I have a problem with Siri. Although my contacts are entered correctly including naming the contact's home phione number as "Home", Siri will often tell me there is no home number for that person. She then gives me a choice of using the contact's home or mobile number (whicgh appear correct on the screen) and when I choose "Home" Siri again tells me there is no home number for that name. Any ideas? Am I entering the contact incorrectly?

Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you

Is anyone else having trouble with Siri calling someone from your Contacts on the Iphone 5?

Has anyone had trouble with Siri on the Iphone 5 in dealing with your Contacts. She gives all of the correct information on scores for the NFL but not if I ask her to call somebody in my contacts. She has no trouble with which movies are playing tonight at my local theaters.
If I ask her to call someone from my Contacts, she takes a very long time and then says something like this, "Uh oh, there's a problem. Can you try again?" or something of this nature. Any help appreciated. BTW I download my information from Itunes and also had to change my sim card in order for Verizon to keep my same telephone number.

I have not had this problem. I am new to Siri (with an iPhone 5 upgrade from an i4) and Siri has made a number of calls from my contacts. She asks, which John Doe (if I have more than one), which number (if I have more than one) and off we go.
Maybe, you have some setting wrong.

My Biggest Problem with Siri - Voice Dialing

My biggest complaint with Siri is that voice dialing requires an Internet connection. If I want to initiate a voice call to someone in my contact list why does Siri waste the time and bandwidth to access my contacts on my iPhone via the Internet? This makes no sense and is much slower than was the case with normal voice control.
My suggestion would be that when you say "call" Joe Smith Siri will first look in your contact list. Why would you have it any other way?
Am I missing something here or was this overlooked?

Siri also can't find contacts with non-typical but still common and phonetically simple spellings - Rebekah or Coffman. The regular voice commands don't have this problem. To Apple apologists who suggest that I go through my 800+ contacts and enter phonetic assistance, hey, get a life. I need stuff that just works, which is supposed to be the the Apple hallmark. My very first Palm Treo smartphone had more accurate voice dialing, and that has been true on all the Palm and Blackberry phones I had before getting a 4s.
There is a solution. Turn Siri off permanently. The non-SIRI voice dialing works better (though still not as good as my old phones). Then go to the app store and install Dragon Dictation and Dragon Go. Both are free as of this writing. Dragon Dictation is faster, easier to use, and more accurate than Siri. Dragon Go is slightly clunkier to use than Siri, but the results are equally good. Neither has the frequent Siri "not available" problem. You will have to live without the smarmy comebacks, though.

Can't make a call with Siri, it says "calling x..." then "sorry, i cant call the mobile number of x..."

According to this forum: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2175165/all, it seems that Siri is expecting a 7-8 digit phone numbers excluding the country code and area code, so adding an extra "0" digit or two at the back of the phone number may be able to fix your problem. The phone number should still connect correctly. Try that, it works for me in Indonesia where some phone numbers are still 6 digits.

Placing calls with Siri/voiceover

I'm blind and learning to use an I phone 5 with Siri/voiceover, When placing a call to a number that is answered by an automated system requiring the input of additional numbers (ie extension numbers, language preference, etc) is there any way to get Siri to input the info? How can this be accomplished without sight in the second or two allowed to respond?

Problem with Siri

OK, deep, calming breaths. I send long text messages. I just do. Siri never used to give me trouble about it, just transcribe it and send it. Now though, she's quotes The Elements of Style or Thomas Jefferson or something about how sentences shouldn't be too long, or to ask her in fewer words. I don't know when this nonsense started, but I just did a google search and the only info I can find has no fix, it's a discussion in the Apple Support forums that's about four hours old. I was thinking the last iOS, but even then, it didn't seem to happen before. Am I missing something? What gives? It's stopped working the way it did previously with no apparent cause.
