Problem updating a installed application

Hi,
we have some developed some applications for the MI on ourself. Now we want to update some files of the deployed applications on the clients. I already read something about deploying add-ons with an install.xml file in it but I can't get it to work. When I deploy the add-on the MI is telling me that it is downloading the application (although I deployed it as a add-on). Afterwards its installing it. When I have a look at the trace file I can find the following lines:
[20070323 13:51:53:768] P [MI/Deployment            ] Installation: Link sent from backend is 'http://XXXXXXXXXXXXX/me/pub/add-on/0.8151_MTSACTVOUCHER_PL01.zip'

This is my install.xml file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<ARCHIVE name="MTSACTVOUCHER_PL01" description="Installer" uimode="full">
<PACKAGE name="MTSACTVOUCHER" description="New Jar file for application">

</ARCHIVE>

You were right, there was no manifest.mf, so I added it. But the result is still the same. The MI does not want me to accept any installation of a patch. It just decompressed the archive into MI_HOME\addon and the trace keeps telling me that there is no external installer:

Does the ZIP archive has to have a special name? Any requirements regarding the naming in the webconsole???

While we update our air application we may get a window saying that Update is avaialable. We may have 'ok' and 'cancel' button. So is it possible to handle the ok and cancel click event.

  • Problem updating newly installed Tiger (upgrading from 10.3.9)

    Hi,
I'm having troubles updating my newly installed Tiger (10.4.3) to the newest version of it.
I tried Software Update but after checking it says that I have the newest available software (which is not true), and when trying updating from the combo updates available at Apple website, I get the following screen:
    http://kaarlows.sites.uol.com.br/Fotos/update.jpg
I've downloaded all combos, starting from 10.4.8 version until 10.4.4 one (which is the one I took the screenshot above), and all of them show the same error.
I've already restarted the computer, repaired permissions, disconnected my external drives, and still couldn't update my operating system.
I upgraded from Panther, version 10.3.9, using the option of “upgrade” with the Tiger installation DVD.
Could somebody help me out here?
    Thanks;

Did you run Disk First Aid repair on your boot volume
with Disk First Aid repair via Disk Utility when
booted from the Tiger install disc before proceeding
with the installation and were all external
peripheral devices except for a keyboard and mouse
    disconnected during the install?
No, I didn't, and my external USB hard drive was connected to the Mac when I was updating.
If no problems were reported by DFA repair, this
probably won't make any difference but if there were
problems reported that were successfully repaired, it
    might.
Beside repairing disk, I also repaired permissions once again, and there were no problems reported.
I restarted the computer, and still software update continued to say that I was up-to-date and the update combos I downloaded all showed the same error message from the screenshot above.
Will I need to reinstall again Tiger? And will the option Archive and Install work even if I'm reinstalling again the same system?
    Thanks for the fast reply,

  • My iphone3 stopped updating and installing applications.

I bought my iphone3G is 2.5 years ago and used it with no problems since. Few days ago the App Store quoted 6 applications need to be updated (as usual). So I took the neccesary steps. But few seconds after that, all actions stopped without starting. I tried the same thing 3-4 times but there was no change. I turned off the phone, waited, turned it on and tried again. No change. Then I connected the phone with itunes and clicked "update" in Summary. It said: "Your device is upto date." Then I resetted my phone to factory settings and started all over again. But, still the same, no change. I don't know what to do next. Please help!

    delete the app and redownload

  • Out of Country (cannot update or install applications on i-Touch)

    Hi,
I bought an (32 GB) iTouch 2.0 about 6-7 months ago when I was a student in U.S. Now I have come back to my home country Pakistan. Here, I cannot access the Applications store and install software. I can't even install the softwares that I have already bought.
The error message tells me that this account is only accessable in the US. How can I fix this problem.
    Thanks

can you get into your account in itunes? have you changed your address to your new one?

  • Problems updating/uninstalling/installing AIR

I am running Windows 7 SP1 x64. I originally installed AIR with Pandora back in December, and it ran fine. It may have even been able to update for some time, I don't remember with certainty. However, a few weeks ago, an update notification came up, and when I said go ahead and update, it squawked at me claiming maybe my admin didn't allow (I am the admin, and I did escalate when/if prompted). I ignored it for a few times, but yesterday I decided to tackle it. Reader was having a similar issue -- unable to update. So I tried to uninstall both, and both gave me errors and wouldn't do anything. I then used Revo Uninstaller to attempt to uninstall, and that worked OK, but I had some manual cleanup to do as well. Did the best I could. But still AIR won't install.
Here's the air install log, and following that is the MSI log. First sign of trouble (AFAICT) is in the MSI log at 15:06:09:467:
Warning: Local cached package 'c:\Windows\Installer\3e163f8d.msi' is missing.

    BYE!

    Hi Mark
Silly question for you. The project you are attempting to
open in C4 isn't by chance still open in C3 is it?
I know there are issues adding a Captivate output to Robohelp
if the project is still open in Captivate which is what prompted me
    to ask.
    Cheers... Rick

  • I can't update or install new application on my iPad 2, please what can I do to solve this problem

I Can't update or install new application on my iPad 2 with retina displa running on iOS 8.1.2.
when I wanted to update, it was rolling for so many days and nothing happen. I don't know what to do.

    Hello, DGVLIMITED.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would need clarification on what exact issue you are experiencing and any errors when attempting to update applications to provide a better answer.  However, try updating applications individually.  This could be a capacity limitation when updating all at once.  Also, try restarting the device.  If these steps do not resolve the issue, try the remaining steps in the article below.
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update(iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clickingCheck for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

  • Have CS 5 Installed on my iMac and works ok. But installed on my new MacBook Pro it won't open NEF files from my Nikon D810. Displays NEF icons, but when I try and open them the response is: Make sure latest RAW updates are installed. If problem persists

Have CS 5 Installed on my iMac and works ok. But installed on my new MacBook Pro it won't open NEF files from my Nikon D810. Displays NEF icons, but when I try and open them the response is: Make sure latest RAW updates are installed. If problem persists follow link: http://www.adobe.com/go/kb407111. Have installed Bridge 5.0.2.4; Raw Ref Version 7.0.0.308; DNG converter_8_7_1.dmg; Bridge 5.0.2 Update 2. Also same problem with Lightroom which I don't normally use. Lightroom_3_LS11_mac_3_6.dmg installed.

In the link you posted it states that the Nikon 810 requires ACR 8.6 or newer.
Version of ACR are specific to versions of Photoshop. You cannot use 8.6 nor even 7.0.in CS5.
I believe that ACR 6.7 is the latest that will work with CS5, so make sure you have this installed and get rid of ACR 7.
Having 2 versions of ACR will cause problems.
You have already downloaded DNG Converter 8.7.1.
Have you double clicked the DMG file to allow you to install DNG Converter on your computer?
Be aware that DNG converter is a stand-along application and not a plug-in.
You need to open DNG converter at select the FOLDER that contain your .NEF files.
Don't open the folder and try to select individual files, it doesn't work that way.
After converting your D810 files to DNGs you can then open the DNGs in CS5
The problem is your camera didn't exist when CS5 & its version of ACR was developed.
i don't use Lightroom, but the list mentions Lightroom 5.6 as needed to open D819 so your 3.6 version of LR won't cut it.

  • Pro applications update wont install

    pro applications update wont install
has anyone had this problem, or does anyone know a solution?

I'm having this same problem. After installing Logic Studio last night I ran Software Update which updated my software but skipped ProApplications Update 2007-1. It went straight to ProApplications Update 2007-2 and told me there was an error installing Update 2007-1. So I came here, downloaded Updated 2007-1 on its own and installed it without a problem. Now whenever I run Software Update it tries to install ProApplications Updated 2007-2 but tells me there is an error. I tried the link to the update and am redirected to a Final Cut Studio page and asked for my Final Cut Studio serial number--but I don't have Final Cut Studio. I have Logic Studio.
Any suggestions on how to rectify this?

  • KB2918614 Breaks MDT2012 Update 1 Task Sequence "Install Application" Items on Windows 7 deployments

    Consider the following scenario:
You have a WDS deployment environment for your enterprise running on Windows Server 2008 R2.
You use MDT 2012 Update 01 to create a Windows 7 Task Sequence for workstation deployment.
The task sequence has an "Install Application" task to install Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU4 MP1b.
You either refresh your reference build to incorporate KB2918614 or you publish the update via WSUS and use the Install Updates task in the task sequence prior to the "Install Application" task to install the hotfix.
In this scenario, the "Install Application" task starts but never completes. The Symantec installation executable is never called and does not show up in Task Manager. All subsequent "Install Application" tasks exhibit the same behavior.
No error messages are generated. Eventually the Task Sequence itself times out and moves on to the next task.
If you remove update KB2918614 from your reference build or unapprove it from your WSUS server, all "Install Application" tasks in the task sequence execute correctly.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issues with deployments? My hunch is that the problem is not specific to the application being installed, and it may also be a problem for environments using SCCM to install Windows 7. I have not had a chance to explore
this more, so I kept my scenario to the facts that I have directly observed.
    Thanks,

Quite the few incorrect assumptions, but thank you for your input. I disagree with your methodology and irrelevant conclusions.
Problem is quite clearly seen under easily reproducible conditions, which according to your description was not correctly proscribed. No one ever said the patch did not install correctly.
Whether the root cause is that mainstream third party applications are utilizing Microsoft solution accelerator proscribed methods that a privately reported vulnerability implicated as harmful; and thus the aforementioned patch changed the
expected behaviour to the detriment of mainstream certified applications in an unattended environment is at fault is up for discussion. Jamal's experience implicates the overall method in not only MDT but also SCCM so there stands a reasonable chance
that the problem exhibits on a further scale beyond the MDT environment.
However, as has been documented on a real world basis in the context of actual running environments (in which many do indeed still run Windows 7, much to all our chagrin and your self-declared shock) the issue still exists, and we must decline
your proposed solution as being appropriate to the described scenario. Your response clearly does not duplicate nor even attempt to recreate the problem space, If you had read clearly you would have seen we had already inserted a reboot in between the Windows
Update step in the TS and the "Install Application" step. Of course there are many other potential variables, hence why one should be quite careful about declaring an explicit problem or an explicit solution.
I believe Mike Niehaus clearly indicated the next step, and Jamal has confirmed the immediate workaround. I will encourage my clients to raise the issue through their EA channel.

  • Problems updating application

Had an update appear on the App Store a few days ago for 'Lotto Shake' on my iPod Touch. It tried to update but then came up with an error saying I couldn't do it from my iPod and I'd have to update it on my computer through iTunes. Tried it a couple of times on my iPod without success so last night, I updated the app on iTunes then synced my iPod, but every time it tries to transfer the updated app to my iPod, it comes up with an Error: "Unknown Error 0xE8008001" and stops the update.
Other apps have updated fine so what could be wrong with this one. I even deleted and tried downloading it again but it presented me with the same error.
    Can anyone advise? Thanks

I experienced the exact same problem with that same application. I also deleted it, re-downloaded it, and re-installed it, but the "Unknown Error 0xE8008001" error persists.
