Problem when instantiating a new InitialDirContext

Hi there,
i am trying to create a InitialDirContext to do DNS lookups. This works in Sun's
JDK 1.4.1 and 1.4.2:
java.util.Hashtable env = new java.util.Hashtable();
env.put("java.naming.factory.initial","com.sun.jndi.dns.DnsContextFactory");
dnsdircontext = new javax.naming.directory.InitialDirContext(env);
When trying it with JRockit I get:
16:11:20.545 EVENT com.tuportal.util.ServletContextUtils.contextInitialized()

Hi,
It looks like a native library is missing (net.dll in case of win2k or
libnet.so in case of linux)
I can see 'net.dll' with SUN JDK under %JDK_HOME%\jre\bin folder. If you
copy the same to the corresponding location in JRockit, it should work.
I am not sure why this hasn't been included with JRockit though.

  • Problems when updating amavisd-new to 2.5.0

    Hi the list !
    Thanks for the great tips and support we got here. I’m really newbie on mac os x server while it’s now a long time I’m on clients ones.
    I wanted to follow topicdesk.com tutorials to update spamassassin and clamav as I saw here the initial conf by Apple isn’t working.
    Then, I saw before updating SpamAssassin that I had to update amavisd-new first. So, I begin with this tutorial. Here’s what happened (sorry for the long-long post) :
    First installed Xcode 2.4.1.
    Everything was fine until the CPAN Perl Module updates, as I always had the “make had returned bad status, install seems impossible” error. Looking for some info on the net, I then understand that you have to install everything Apple suggests as if you don’t, you’ll have later problems whith “make” command (I know, I first wanted to install only gcc that seemed necessary to me, and when nothing works as expected, I had to go back and install everything ...) In fact, the missing BSD SDK was supsected to be the missing thing, but not only. Then, just install everything and this is fine.
    Updated the whole asked Perl module without any problem, following the tutorial
    Then Reboot the server when asked ; amavisd-new new version 2.5.0 seems OK. Then, the beginning of problems...
    My smtp log which is set in debug mode shows lots of error entries such as
    May 24 13:11:21 xserve postfix/smtpd[302]: connect from xxxx.adsl.hansenet.de[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
    May 24 13:11:22 xserve postfix/smtpd[302]: 0A64A71E1A: client=xxxx.adsl.hansenet.de[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
    May 24 13:11:22 xserve postfix/cleanup[349]: 0A64A71E1A: message-id=<890420070524111120@broilingwhelped>
    May 24 13:11:22 xserve postfix/qmgr[74]: 0A64A71E1A: from=<[email protected]>, size=1188, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
    May 24 13:11:22 xserve postfix/smtp[350]: connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]: Connection refused (port 10024)
    May 24 13:11:22 xserve postfix/smtp[350]: 0A64A71E1A: to=<[email protected]>, relay=none, delay=1, status=deferred (connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]: Connection refused)
    May 24 13:11:22 xserve postfix/smtpd[302]: disconnect from xxxx.adsl.hansenet.de[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
    Obviously, amavisd-new isn’t running. Then, trying sudo /usr/bin/amavisd and it say there are mistakes in the conf file. BTW, it’s not really obvious trying to migrate settings from the old conf file to the new one :
    I don't understand how this old conf settings
    @local_domains_acl = ( ".$mydomain" ); # $mydomain and its subdomains
    @local_domains_maps = ( 1 );
    # @local_domains_acl = qw(); # default is empty, no recipient treated as local
    # @local_domains_acl = qw( .example.com );
    # @local_domains_acl = qw( .example.com !host.sub.example.net .sub.example.net );
    # @local_domains_acl = ( ".$mydomain", '.example.com', 'sub.example.net' );
    has to bee changed in the new one way :
    @local_domains_maps = ( [".$mydomain"] ); # $mydomain and its subdomains
    # @local_domains_maps = (); # default is empty list, no recip. considered local
    # @local_domains_maps = # using ACL lookup table
    # ( [ ".$mydomain", 'sub.example.net', '.example.com' ] );
    # @local_domains_maps = # similar, split list elements on whitespace
    # ( [qw( .example.com !host.sub.example.net .sub.example.net )] );
    # @local_domains_maps = ( new_RE( qr'[@.]example\.com$'i ) ); # using regexp
    # @local_domains_maps = ( read_hash("$MYHOME/local_domains") ); # using hash
    # perhaps combined with Postfix: mydestination = /var/amavis/local_domains
    # for debugging purposes: dump_hash($local_domains_maps[0]);
    Anyway, I doubt this is the (real?) reason to my problems
    I correct some of these problems (in fact I forgot to look at amavis.log, but here is what it said) :

    I first thought mails were lost, and obviously as it won’t be so easy to fix alone without any help (and time is running loosing mails), I decided to come back to the old amavisd-new version, restoring /usr/bin/amavis and amavis.conf, and rebooting computer.
    Then, another problem with Perl modules that were updated so that old amavis seemed also not working. I decided to replace /Library/Perl and System/Library/Perl with new ones from a clean fresh install on my local server. Rebooted, and seems to be OK as before. Then looked for Postfix and understood than flushing will force deferred mails to be processed.
    Anyway, all is to be done again. If anybody here as an idea of what's going wrong, I'll be glad to learn ...

    well, there you have it – a classical if then loop.
    seems i'm still stuck somewhere in the middle of the amavisd.conf nightmare. had amavisd-new 2.4.5 / spamassassin 3.1.8 up and running after a real nightmare (which had to do with daemonize=1).
    after i tried to get up-to-date with amavisd-new 2.5.1 and spamassassin 3.2.1 i saw the same problems (see below) again, while launchd tried to get amavisd started.
    Jun 15 05:14:11 mail launchd: org.amavis.amavisd: exited with exit code: 2
    Jun 15 05:14:11 mail launchd: org.amavis.amavisd: respawning too quickly! throttling
    Jun 15 05:14:11 mail launchd: org.amavis.amavisd: 9 more failures without living at least 60 seconds will cause job removal
    Jun 15 05:14:11 mail launchd: org.amavis.amavisd: will restart in 10 seconds
    remembering the previous troubles, i double checked all things, which could be set wrong (daemonize, etc.) and all was well. tried a second install and all to no success.
    later i had the idea, it might be the new amavisd.conf, which troubles (why ever) the startup. so i used the v2.4.5 one and lo and behold, it worked. but why? what is so strange/new/different in 2.5.1, that the startup of amavisd gets broken?
    now i read, that they changed a bunch of stuff and i certainly would be using the newer versions conf file, but it seems i don't get it right configured. i'm on the latest updated 10.4.9 server with all fixes installed. every service is working, mail gets in/out and gets even tagged.
    well, i didn't do the setup with the 2 users junkmail/nojunkmail yet. is it really necessary to set them up as local users? can't they be handled as every other user which has mail enabled via wgm?
    anyone can help me here? thx.

  • Problem when creating a new Linux VM

    Hi,
    When I create a new Ubuntu linux from ISO, I received error messages blow. But it's ok for me to create a Windows XP/2K host.
    I search the forum. My xen_caps are: xen-3.0-x86_64 xen-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_32 hvm-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_64
    Updates: I found I can run CentoOS without any problem. Is this means OVS don't support ubuntu? Anyone have the same problem?
    Thanks

    In the past I've been successfully deploying a few Ubuntu guest VMs, Hardware Virtualized (never succeeded to put up a Paravirtualized guest though) for testing purposes.
    The latest version (10.4 maybe? Can't remember right now) worked without any sort of fixes or workarounds and was stable right away.
    Previous versions needed a fix in the "grub.conf" file, and I had to put in a "NOAPIC" option to tell the kernel to inhibit some kind of interrupt events, I'm sorry I cannot be more specific but I can't remember exactly the real reasons behind the fix, I just know that without it I was getting a "processor stuck" error on the guest's console after a while, resulting in an unresponsive VM.
    I see from your logfile that you have "APIC=1" and "ACPI=1", so maybe you'd want to play a bit with those settings and see the results.
    My processors are Intel Xeon 5450.

  • Problems when creating a new parameter for a parametric role

    I'm trying to create a new parameter for a parametric role, but it seems that it is never updated, because the BPM engine does not return any error.
    The scenario is: I have a process that has the role "Brands_Admin", the brands are populated by Web Service dynamically, then the parameters of the role would be those brands. In this case, if a new brand is registered (WS returns a new brand), I simply create a new parameter for the role through the "process administrator" of the BPM Enterprise.
    I'm trying to create the new parameter as follows:
    dirSession                 = DirectorySession.currentEngineSession;
    dirOrganizationalRole       = DirOrganizationalRole.fetch(session : dirSession, id : "Brands_Admin");
    String[] parametricRoles       = dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues;
    parametricRolesCount      = parametricRoles.length();
    parametricRoles[parametricRolesCount]      = "NEW_BRAND";
    dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues      = parametricRoles;
    dirOrganizationalRole.update();
    dirOrganizationalRole.refresh();
    for (int i=0; i<dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues.length(); i++) {
         logMessage(dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues);
    In the code above, the BPM Studio will print the new parameter correctly, but in next activity (like a Screenflow) when I try to get the parameters of that role again, there are only the parameters that were registered using the BPM Studio, the parameters that are created programmatically not appear.
    Anyone know the reason?
    An user with the same problem: http://forums.tangosol.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=839253&tstart=1

    When a project that contains this logic to create a new parameter for a parametric role programmatically is deployed in BPM Enterprise, some strange behaviours occurs.
    The first is that I cannot see through the process administrator the new parameter that was created for the parametric role.
    The second is that if I create this new parameter through process administrator and associate an user to the role that contains the new parameter I cannot access the deployment process. In workspace (authenticated with user that is associated with the role that contains the new parameter) I cannot see anything about the process.

  • Problems when creating a new instance of an Input parameter for a REM

    I am working in a small demo which calls a Remote Enable Function Module in order to read data from the back end system. Since the function module I need to call ("BP_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER") is not Remote Enable I created a copy of it and made it Remote Enable ("Z_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER"). I have created the model within webdynpro without any problems but when my application reaches the line where I create a new instance of the object Z_Bupa_Search_By_User_Input (see below the source code), just before to call the remote function, the application stops there. I have exactly the same code in another bapi calls and it works fine. I am wondering if my problem has anything to do with the fact the function module i am calling is the function module I created. Any advice is very welcome.

    Diego.

  • I do not have any problems when downloading the new itunes. 10.6.3 version, but once "installed" I cannot open the itunes app by clicking on the icon, help please!

    When attempting to download the new version of itunes I was able to complete the download without a problem but cannot open the icon when everthing is done. I unistalled everything and reinstalled, I followed all the trouble-shooting guides, I attempted to download an older version and nothing is working. Prior to attempting to download this "new and improved version of itunes" everything was working fine. Unfortunately I had to update when I got a new iPhone and wanted to sync it to my old library and needed an updated version of itunes.

    Restart Computer.

    Ok, let me first mention that I'm using DW MX, not a newer iteration. What can I say? I like this version, it works great for my needs, and I don't like the newer ones.
    So, I have all the properly categorized files for my website on my hard drive, and I was going to manually import the site into DW. I've done this before and it worked fine. However, once everything was brought in as a new site and I opened an HTML file to edit some photos/text, I saw that alll my images are broken, all the backgrounds are missing, as well as my image bars, and in some places the text formatting is gone (like a centered heading in bold is now aligned left with </center> next to it (Why am I seeing HTML? I'm in design view!)
    I noticed when I right-clicked on an image and selected "Source File", it's referencing the HTML folders, not the Image folders. I re-linked one image on one of my HTML pages for testing and saved the change, and I then checked the background images on some other HTML pages, and now they all reference that image folder of the page I saved instead of my Backgrounds folder.
    I'm not sure why the images suddenly decided to link to HTML pages. At some point with moving, my transition to different computers, and different versions of DW, my site disappeared from my list of sites in this DW MX. I re-imported it from my C drive and got this. I'm going to have a LOT of work re-linking all my images, bars, backgrounds, and correcting text layout on all my pages if I can't get this fixed. At least the website currently online is unaffected. I'm wondering if I should just download the website that on the remote server somehow into DW. I know it's all properly linked online.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    When you say "download the intact site first," do you mean from the server? I'm not sure where you're talking about. The intact site exists only on my hard drive, accessed through Windows Explorer. I imported this as a new site into DW. However, I had evidently not linked the images, backgrounds, bars, etc, on the HTML pages. Everything on the server is in one folder - no organization there at all, which is the way it used to be.
    I'm puzzled, however - it's been months since I messed with this site, and I've forgotten a lot of what I did. I must have started on my HD, created and organized all the folders and files to my liking, and saved it. This would have invalidated all my links which I had in place when all the HTML pages were in one huge folder. This is probably why everything is so broken within DW, but why everything still works online - I haven't fooled with anything on the remote server (yet). Even though this isn't the biggest site in the world, considering how much time I have in my schedule, it's still going to take me about two weeks worth of work to fix this.

  • Problem when OPEN a new browser session

    Hi,
    I like to open a new browser in my program when user click on the URL.
    I did this:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler " + URL);
    However, it just didn't open the new browser and it used an existing open browser to launch the URL. I just don't want to lose that session.
    How could I force to open a brand new window?
    Thanks a lot for your help.

    I have my browser configured so that requests like that open up in a tab in the existing open browser. I did that because I want it that way. And if I am using your program, I still want it that way and that's all there is to it. It's my computer and my browser and you don't get to override that.
    However, if you don't like how it's working on your computer then go ahead and change your browser's setup.

  • Encountering a problem when creating a new project

    Hello
    I installed JDK 1.5.0_11 and then Java Studio Enterprise 8.1. For my programming class we have to create an application, however the "General" catagory -> "Java Application" project is not there. The options I have under categories is " samples, standard, uml & web.
    I read another post with a similar problem and the advice was to run the ide with another userid. I followed the link to
    Ref: http://blogs.sun.com/karthikr/entry/jse_directories
    This all made sense to me until
    "Run the ide with a fresh userdir as "runide.exe -userdir [newuserdir]" specifying a new user dir."
    Can someone please help me understand how to do this. I tried it from Start->Run but could not get it to work.
    Thank you for your help
    Mark

    There are several ways you can get this done:
    - In 'Start | Run' , execute "<netbeans_install_dir>/bin/netbeans -userdir <path_to_non_existent_dir>" . As an example <path_to_non_existent_dir> can be "c:\temp\myuserdir".
    Or
    - Run the ide and note down the usedir from the details tab in the about box as specified in the blog. Close the ide. Open the windows explorer and rename the userdir to something like <userdir>.bkp. Run the ide via the standard desktop icon or start menu item. The ide will find that the <userdir> does not exist and will create the <userdir>.
    Hope that helps.

    Hello,
    I'm a new user of ODI. I installed on windows 7 -64 bits. I used java of 32 bits.
    The error is that when I right-click on physical architectures to create a new physical schema, nothing happens.
    I have already reinstalled ODI twice. I have seen previous posts in this forum about this topic, but they haven't found the solution.
    Thank you very much for your help,
