Problems when creating a new parameter for a parametric role

I'm trying to create a new parameter for a parametric role, but it seems that it is never updated, because the BPM engine does not return any error.
The scenario is: I have a process that has the role "Brands_Admin", the brands are populated by Web Service dynamically, then the parameters of the role would be those brands. In this case, if a new brand is registered (WS returns a new brand), I simply create a new parameter for the role through the "process administrator" of the BPM Enterprise.
I'm trying to create the new parameter as follows:
dirSession                 = DirectorySession.currentEngineSession;
dirOrganizationalRole       = DirOrganizationalRole.fetch(session : dirSession, id : "Brands_Admin");
String[] parametricRoles       = dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues;
parametricRolesCount      = parametricRoles.length();
parametricRoles[parametricRolesCount]      = "NEW_BRAND";
dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues      = parametricRoles;
dirOrganizationalRole.update();
dirOrganizationalRole.refresh();
for (int i=0; i<dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues.length(); i++) {
     logMessage(dirOrganizationalRole.parametricValues);
In the code above, the BPM Studio will print the new parameter correctly, but in next activity (like a Screenflow) when I try to get the parameters of that role again, there are only the parameters that were registered using the BPM Studio, the parameters that are created programmatically not appear.
Anyone know the reason?
An user with the same problem: http://forums.tangosol.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=839253&tstart=1

When a project that contains this logic to create a new parameter for a parametric role programmatically is deployed in BPM Enterprise, some strange behaviours occurs.
The first is that I cannot see through the process administrator the new parameter that was created for the parametric role.
The second is that if I create this new parameter through process administrator and associate an user to the role that contains the new parameter I cannot access the deployment process. In workspace (authenticated with user that is associated with the role that contains the new parameter) I cannot see anything about the process.

    I wouldn't judge. I've been to Arch for a week, you know? But as said, it's VERY close to it.
    What I dislike after a week is makepkg not handling dependencies automatically (which would be overhead, so probably not appropriate).
    Mikko777 wrote:Also theres KDEmod for modular kde, dunno if its for 64 bits tho.
    Don't actually need that as said ... I see no real benefit of having that other than not beeing a KDE user or having Gentoos useflags.

  • Problems when creating a new instance of an Input parameter for a REM

    I am working in a small demo which calls a Remote Enable Function Module in order to read data from the back end system. Since the function module I need to call ("BP_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER") is not Remote Enable I created a copy of it and made it Remote Enable ("Z_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER"). I have created the model within webdynpro without any problems but when my application reaches the line where I create a new instance of the object Z_Bupa_Search_By_User_Input (see below the source code), just before to call the remote function, the application stops there. I have exactly the same code in another bapi calls and it works fine. I am wondering if my problem has anything to do with the fact the function module i am calling is the function module I created. Any advice is very welcome.

    In the past I've been successfully deploying a few Ubuntu guest VMs, Hardware Virtualized (never succeeded to put up a Paravirtualized guest though) for testing purposes.
    The latest version (10.4 maybe? Can't remember right now) worked without any sort of fixes or workarounds and was stable right away.
    Previous versions needed a fix in the "grub.conf" file, and I had to put in a "NOAPIC" option to tell the kernel to inhibit some kind of interrupt events, I'm sorry I cannot be more specific but I can't remember exactly the real reasons behind the fix, I just know that without it I was getting a "processor stuck" error on the guest's console after a while, resulting in an unresponsive VM.
    I see from your logfile that you have "APIC=1" and "ACPI=1", so maybe you'd want to play a bit with those settings and see the results.
    My processors are Intel Xeon 5450.

  • Problems when creating a  transfer order for moving storage units

    Hi,
    When creating a TO for moving storage units with FM FU L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU i got problems when the storage unit consist of 2 items. The message 'Warehouse number does not exist (new selection required)'
    is displayed. When i use the FM again after this message then the TO is created correctly.
    When i debug the FM for 2 items is see that LEIN-LGNUM is empy en when performing:
    PERFORM T300_LESEN(SAPML03T) USING LEIN-LGNUM. and the message E080 is raised.
    The perform before this is determining the lein-lgnum (PERFORM LENUM_EINL_CHECK(SAPML03T) USING I_LENUM) but this value isnt passed to the calling program the first time (memory or something????)
    Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
    Thx in advance.
    Kind regards,
    John Nijburg

    Hello,
    I had the same problem today and I've fixed it by calling the FM in a different task (asychronous) .. this way the fugr/internal variables will be loaded again and you won't get this stupid error anymore.
    CALL FUNCTION 'L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU' STARTING NEW TASK lv_task
    In case you need it syncronous use PERFORMING clause together with WAIT UNITL
    Hope this helps!

    Hi,
    As far as i know , you need to insert a droptargetinfo only once in the table level not on every row.
    Try to do on design time what you are dynamically doing ? You would not get a chance to to insert a droptragetinfo on every row.

  • Encountering a problem when creating a new project

    Hello
    I installed JDK 1.5.0_11 and then Java Studio Enterprise 8.1. For my programming class we have to create an application, however the "General" catagory -> "Java Application" project is not there. The options I have under categories is " samples, standard, uml & web.
    I read another post with a similar problem and the advice was to run the ide with another userid. I followed the link to
    Ref: http://blogs.sun.com/karthikr/entry/jse_directories
    This all made sense to me until
    "Run the ide with a fresh userdir as "runide.exe -userdir [newuserdir]" specifying a new user dir."
    Can someone please help me understand how to do this. I tried it from Start->Run but could not get it to work.
    Thank you for your help
    Mark

    There are several ways you can get this done:
    - In 'Start | Run' , execute "<netbeans_install_dir>/bin/netbeans -userdir <path_to_non_existent_dir>" . As an example <path_to_non_existent_dir> can be "c:\temp\myuserdir".
    Or
    - Run the ide and note down the usedir from the details tab in the about box as specified in the blog. Close the ide. Open the windows explorer and rename the userdir to something like <userdir>.bkp. Run the ide via the standard desktop icon or start menu item. The ide will find that the <userdir> does not exist and will create the <userdir>.
    Hope that helps.

  • Problem when creating standard recipient list for all documents

    Dear All,
    I am facing 'NO_RELATION_EXIST' dump issue. So i am following note 509191 provided by SAP. At the moment i am trying 2nd  option i.e. for automatic document distribution, i am trying to create one standard recipient list for all documents to be released. However when i try creating a recipient list it does not allow me to create for a particular document type. As i can see there are 2 important key fields Document no and Document type. But i want to create only for a document type. The reason for that is this document type is for a PR attachment. So as soon as a PR gets released by the final approver this distribution should happen, irrespective of document number.
    Please let me know if this is possible. I would like to apologize if it's too simple of a question as i am an ABAP person and have no knowledge in DMS. And there is no DMS consultant whom i can approach.
    Thanking in advance.
    Regards,
    Saud

    ...distribution should happen, irrespective of document number...
    This wouldn't be feasible because documents are identified in the recipient list by both,the document number and document type and hence are mandatory inputs.

  • Error Occured when creating a new material

    Dear All,
    I met a strange problem when creating a new material in CRM System.
    I have configure the product Hierarchy and Product Category in the sysytem. and I have assigned the Hierarchy to the Application. But when i created a material. the error occured: Data cannot be maintained for set type COMM_PR_SHTEXT.
    I have maintain the set types of the category, but there are no such kind of set type:COMM_PR_SHTEXT.
    Who know the reason, please kindly give me some help. Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    U have to assign this in ur base category. Then this set type it will be available for the second category where u want to assign this set type. You have to maintain the product in the second category. If you are doing it in crm standalone then u have to create the hierarchy, then create the category. Then create the other category from the base category and assign the ecessary set types in the first category which is inherited from the hierarchy. Then Asiign this hierarchy to application. Then in the second category u can assign ur other set types that is customised 1. The normal set type will inherit from the base category.
    Thanx

    I created a new ID for my Iphone, because the old ID was an email address I no longer have. Also, the phone wouldn't recognize the password I have always used. Now the problem is when I try to update my apps, it automatically wants to use the old ID. I've set the new ID for the phone, but it defaults to the old one when asking for a password to update apps.

    That's because all apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to obtain them, & can only be updated using that ID.
    To use your new ID with these apps, you'll have to delete them, then repurchase. Or, contact iTunes support, explain the situation, & ask that they add these apps to the download queue of your new ID.

    When something that used to work stops doing so, the most likely culprit is corrupt preferences. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences, delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist file & then restart Pages. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from the Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:
