Problem While checkin in NWDI adding TableSorter.java class in src of DC

I have added TableSorter.java class in Source folder of One Develop Component and implemented the code to sort the table.It is working fine Locally.
    While I am trying to checkin in NWDI it is throwing error messages like

Hi,
Where exactly did you put your TableSorter.java?
It should be in src\packages\<your package foleders>\util
Please also don't forget to add your TableSorter.java in the OpenActivity which you want to check in.
I suggest there is also another way to do this but I didn't try it:
Create new Java Project DC
Put your TableSorter.java there
Add all necessary DC for build
Create two public parts (assembly and compilation)
And use this parts in your WD DC

I am using GWT to display my data in a Grid.
So it will accept a Single two dimensional String array....Here i have one as String and other as Date.
So i was trying to get each row in a sindle dimensional array array[] then store it in a list.
Iteration goes up to 10 rows.After i am setting it in to a list
ie list.add(array);
Now while returning this list i am doing this
"return (String[][])list.toArray(new String[0][]);"
When i tried to get the date element to String array it is showing class cast exception. When i tried with toString() method it is showing the same problem.

Did you try the java classes library (SDOAPI) that can be downloaded from OTN?
It may provide you with a better alternative when manipulating geometries in the Java space. There is an adapter in SDOAPI which can convert a JDBC STRUCT object into Java Geometry object defined in SDOAPI, and vice versa.
There are at least two ways in mixing PL/SQL and Java. The first one, as you mentioned, is to define your custom function in terms of PL/SQL and call it from within your Java program. With SDOAPI, you have the second option, which is to define your own functions in Java using SDOAPI and deploy them as Java stored procedures in db. You can then call them from within your PL/SQL code. In either way performance depends on a lot of things and generally it requires a "try and improve" approach.
About JPublisher and sdo_ordinate_array it may not be a spatial related problem. Did you try search the Java-related forums first?

you should have created your package starting with the letters "Y" or "Z".
you have created it with the letter "s". SALES.
's' is reserved to be used by SAP.
so create the package with the letters 'y' or 'z' like 'ysales' and you wont be getting that problem.

Problem while creating a custom document using JAVA API in the current Folder

I am trying to create an instance of a custome type from the API. I have created a custom type via XML. I have associated a JSP with the custom type thru iFS manager. This jsp provides an interface for the user to enter various data. On submit I call some other jsp also loaded into the /ifs/webui/jsps which calls a method in the java class to create an instance of the above mentioned type. This instance needs to be created in the current directory and not in the home directory of the user. I have written a java program which when run from JDeveloper connects to the repository and creates the object, but not as a foldered object. If I load this class into custom_classes directory, I get an exception. I am attaching the code also here which does the actual processing.

Please print out the Verbose Stack Trace generated when you run this application.
I suspect that you FolderPathResolver is not pointed at the directory you think it is. You might want to try printing out
I_CurrentFolder.getAnyFolderPath();
and I_CurrentFolder.getName();

Adding a java class code in BPEL 11g

Hi Friends ,
i m doing one simple example of calling a java class from bpel ,
1. first i created a java class
2. After that in my project i imported the jar file of the same class , and i am using JavaEmbedding
for creating one object of that class and calling one method which return me the string result and finally i am setting the result in bpel variable.
the application is build successfull but when i am deploying it i am getting following error

You have to use the below value there.

There are 2 things, if you are not going to reuse the same code, its better to use Java Embedded component.
If you are going to reuse the same methods from the class then it make sense to import as jar file and use it.

Can anybody tell me please, is it possible to create a Web Service from java class where the input from user is required ?

user is required ?Yes, the parameters of your method will be mapped in WSDL.
But i've some considerations about your code.
I suggest you change the name of isPrime do Prime, its a good code convention to put the name of class starting with Upper case. and isn't good the name of class equals to name of method.
I suggest you to change the "static boolean isPrime (int n)" to "public boolean isPrime(int n)" to publish a method as a WebService method it's must be public and not static. After this change try to generate your Web Service.

Problem with servicegen and how to convert java classes to webservices

I am a beginner and am trying to convert all my java code into webservices,I have
a java class Test.java and number of other third party libraries and my own java
files that are reffered in Test.java. I want to expose the public methods in Test.java
as webservices.

also,is there a way to tell servicegen to include all these java files X,Y,Z to
the war file/ear files but expose only the public methods of X in the WSDL.

a element factory.
But let me ask my question this way:
Is there a way to tell servicegen to take only the specified public methods in
a class to make them as webservices?
by default servicegen is taking all the public methods..,i workaround i found
is to deploy the webservice manually by writing the web-services.xml to include
only the required public methods.

Problem while Calling a CGI pgm From Java with code sample

I am calling a CGI program from java servlet, while calling cgi program I am passing encoded(Base64) content via post process,
My problem is the encoded data is not posted as expected, the encoded data is corrupting. But when I send encoded data in a text file, cgi program is perfectly decoding and working fine.
Here I am doing Base64 encoding as per requirement, I cannot avoid this encoding.
My doubt is about OutputStreamWriter constructor argument , In OutputStream Constructor I am passing one argument is OutputStream object and another argument is encoding type. I tried with ASCII, US-ASCII & UTF-8 .
My code is as follows, please help me to resolve this issue.

Whenever you read something in java into string (with Reader implementation) it expects source to contain text in encoding you specified. It then decodes it and makes 16 bit unicode string from it. Whenever you store string using Writers it does reverse operation with specified encoding (may be different than this which you used to read source) and stores text as a sequence of bytes made of 16 bit unicode string. So, passing text back and forth between programs with the help of files or I/O you can make mistake at both reading and writing encoding. Check for it.
Now, when C programm or other application reads file it may take another assumptions about encoding or may even completly ignore it and read source as a binary file. Then, if you have a source text as a file and have to pass it to other application never do it using Reader/Writer. User raw InputStream/OutputStream instead what will preserve all information unchanged.
here encodedPDF-Content is String and it's size is 9565 byteHow id you get this info? String.length() gets you how many chars is in it, it will be half the number of bytes. If you see your input file beeing 9565 bytes long, see my above statements.

Facing problem While deleting rows and adding rows

I got the answer for this query, but when i do download and upload of the files from R/3 to GRC. Still it is not showing me the new transactions which were developed in R/3.
it means when i try to add the transaction in a function, under search mode with respective of the r/3 system, it is not showing me the search results.
What i did was, i run the reports /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_DESC & /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_SAPOBJ and uploaded them as below in GRC.
Text Objects - /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_DESC
permissions - /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_SAPOBJ
For each of the download i get 2 files for each and i tried to upload both of them but no luck.
Please suggest me, as am missing anything in this process

Problem while spawning scp (secure copy) in Java

Hi,
We are calling shell script to spawn scp (secure copy) in Java. JVM version is 1.4.2. While trying to invoke this shell script on JVM 1.4.2 in UNIX environment, it doesnot give desired result. Either it gives the error as :
1)
"The authenticity of host 'sxfer01.bluecrossmn.com (159.136.224.30)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is 8d:84:82:c2:bb:15:94:e1:30:e1:11:0e:3f:8b:83:24.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?"
After saying "yes", it hangs.
OR
2) It doesnot display the value for output variables. Value will be blank and it goes back to system prompt. It doesnot hang.
So How to treat scp utility in JVM 1.4.2? Any change / configuration to be done ?

As a guess....
1. You first need to understand how to run the command successfully from a command prompt.
2. Again from the command prompt you then need to understand what sort of errors the command can generate and what action you need to take based on those errors.
3. You need to create (ONLY after 1 and 2 are complete) a command line simulator which MUST use threads in java. Your simulator knows how to correctly accept all possible responses from the command and how to respond to them. (And you better understand how java shells out commands and handles streams for them as well.)

Activation Problem while checkin in DTR

Hi all,
all my activities are pending and are not checking in properly in portal. all the activities are pending and showing in "predecessor". Even when I correct all the code and build is successful, due to predecessor activities I am not able to checkin the correct versioned activity also.
Any one can help in clearing the predecessor activities and checkin.

Problem while deploying WD +MDM7.1 thr java API

         We are working with MDM 5.5 java API and building WD UI, everything was fine, but when we upgraded to MDM 7.1 we get this error: note when i tried to test the new Java API using java i dont see any problem,

Try restarting the portal if possible, otherwise restart the MDM Connector from Portal Visual Admin tool.
