Problem while invoking a Frame initially in a function

Hi friends here is a small problem. Please help me.
i invoked a class called ShowComponents, which extends a JFrame in the begining of a function. That class has some components. But until the execution of the function that components are not visible, instead a blank frame is appearing. After the execution of that function only frame displaying those components. It is as follows

JButton jb=new JButton("Click Me");
jb.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){
public static void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae)
callingfunction();
public void callingfunction()
ShowMeComponents smc=new ShowMeComponents();
........ //Here i have code, which is taking more time to execute
class ShowMeComponents extends JFrame{
ShowMeComponents()
......//Some components are added to cotainer
JButton jb=new JButton("hai");
here when i call the function callingfunction until the callingfunction is completely executed the components in the ShoeMeComponents frame is not visible, instead a blank frame is appearing, i need those components as soon as i objectify the class.
i tried revalidate(), invalidate()etc and i also tried SwingUtilities.invokeLater and some threading methods. can you suggest me how to display those components please

Sorry i just typed sample code i used setVisible(true) and then i used show() function too. My problem is the Frame it is showing immediately but without components. A white frame is appearing and till the function execution is finishes, the components are not visible. For small functions it is okay but incase of large functions it appearing badly
