Problem while Pro*C compilation on Unix after 10g database migration.

I am getting the following error while compiling Pro*C code after 10g Database migration,
ld: 0706-006 Cannot find or open library file: -l trace10
ld:open(): A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
I am using a Makefile for compilation and this makes direct reference to library -ltrace10
The $LIBPATH value is : /oracle/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/ora10gdb/lib:/usr/lib:/lib
Please guide.

Can anybody let me know how i can trace check writer concurrent process.
It seems to hang after we upgraded the database to 10g version.

Problem with pro*c compilation and linking

Hi all,
I have a problem running the pro*c program on an windows environment.
I have oracle9i and visual studio .net. Ya kinda strange about the combo, but need to live with it.
I create a .pc file and precompile it using oracle pro*c/c++ precompiler. so now I got the .c file.
I used .net command line to compile this .c file
It gave me the .obj file. Now I am getting a link error. I am not sure how I need to link the linkfile.
Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Make sure you are including the Pro*C library. The platform docs tell you explicitly what the library name is. I think for 9i it is called orasql9.lib.

All you need is the HP-UX aC++ compiler, the bundled one will not work with it.
As I'm just an user, not a SysAdmin or such, I don't if that tool is included on install disks or you'll need to buy it.
There's some valuable information about compatibility of Pro*C x compilers on Metalink. I think it's a good idea to check it out, if you have access to it.

I have a serious problem while I render H.264 with After Effect CS6

The same file I made with After Effect CS5, while I Use CS6 to open it, system told me to save as 64Bit new version, then I tried to render H.264 mp4 file, but the program always shut down at the final procedure, I try 10+ times with difference file and same result, But I have got no problem if i render AVI file first then convert H.264 mp4 with media encoder. also I try to render to .F4V its work
rember I have got the last update version.
can someone help me, or anybody got a same problem

By default OIM sends mail to user mail id when the user created. i have tested this scenario using test mail server, it is working fine . when i am trying this scenario using exchange mail server, it is throwing errors. for Exchange just i have changed IT resource parameters.

Given below steps in oracle doc for UMS configuration. you can try the same
Configuring UMS Provider for Sending Notifications (Optional)
To configure Unified Messaging Service (UMS) provider for sending notifications:
Edit the oim-config.xml file by using MBeans. To do so:
Log in to Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Navigate to Identity and Access, oim.
Right-click oim(11.1.1.x.x), and select System MBean Browser.
In the System MBean Browser, navigate to Application Defined MBeans, oracle.iam, Server: oim_server1, Application:oim, XMLConfig, Config, XMLConfig.NotificationConfig, EmailProvider.
Click the EmailProvider attribute, and replace the value oracle.iam.notification.provider.EmailServiceProvider with oracle.iam.notification.provider.UMSEmailServiceProvider.
Click Apply.
Configure the Email Provider Instance - UMS IT resource with the UMS Web service details. To do so:
Login to Oracle Identity Manager Administrative and User Console, and navigate to Advanced Administration.
Click the Configuration tab, click Resource Management, and then click Manage IT Resource.
Click Search. The list of IT resources is displayed.
For the Email Provider Instance - UMS IT resource, click the Edit icon. The Edit IT Resource Details and Parameters page is displayed.
Specify values in the following fields:
Web service URL: The URL of the UMS web service to be invoked. For example, http://<SOA_host>:<SOA_Port>/ucs/messaging/webservice.
Policies: The OWSM policy attached to the given web service. Leave this field as blank.
Username: The username provided in the security header. If no policy is attached, then leave this field as blank.
Password: The password provided in the security header. If no policy is attached, then leave this field as blank.

Configure UMS Server for using a mail server other than the local LINUX mail server, which is picked by default. For example, to setup the mail server to use stbeehive email server:
Stop the Linux Local sendmail email server running on the host, if this is a LINUX host, by running the following command:

Configure Mail Server information in UMS Email Driver. To do so:
i. Login to Oracle Enterprise Manager.

iv. Configure the following mandatory fields:
OutgoingMailServer: The name of the SMTP server, for example, mailserver.mycompany.com.

OutgoingMailServerSecurity: The security setting used by the SMTP server. Possible values can be None, TLS, or SSL.
OutgoingUsername: Any valid username similar to your mail client configuration, such as in the [email protected].
OutgoingPassword: The password used for SMTP authentication. This consists of the following fields:
Type of Password: Select Indirect Password, Create New User.
Indirect Username/Key: Enter a unique string, for example, OIMEmailConfig. This masks the password and does not expose it in clear text in the configuration file.

v. Click Apply.
Right-click usermessagingdriver-email (soa_server1), and select Control, Shutdown.
Allow at least 2 minutes to pass, after which you can restart the email driver. To so so, right-click usermessagingdriver-email (soa_server1), and select Control, Restart.

I am not getting any real records.
I am not sure.. my client is using may be an unix environment..
Please give the solutions for this..

Problem while installing java compiler

Hi ive jus downloaded jdk 5 on my solaris sparc machine .....iam getting the folowing error after i set the path and type java ....heard it is supposed to show options

Problem while trying to compile report FAS400 in report builder.

I am trying to compile oracle report FAS400.rdf in report builder 10g. Its unable to compile because its using a .pll file and its unable to find it. I have set the path in registry entry under REPORTS_PATH but it did not help.
Please advice.

What is your application release? Are you on R12?
Why do you need to compile the report? Using the rdf type would be sufficient.
Please see (Using the OracleAS 10.1.2 Forms and Reports Builders with Oracle Applications Release 12 (Doc ID 444248.1), Section 6: Compiling Reports).

Problem while configuring webutil on oracle application server 10g(9.0.4)

I have configured webutil with oracle application server 10g(9.0.4).JInitiator 1.3.1.17 is installed.
I did everything according to webutil manual.Then i developed a form using developer suit 10g (9.0.4).
and successfully compiled and attached webutil library.then i subclass
webutil object group from webutil.olb into my form,that is also
subclassed successfully.Form has also been compiled and saved
successfully.
also configured my formsweb.cfg,forms90.conf,default.env according to webutil documentation.

This is the stack trace that i get when i open the connection from code behind. The exception generated is "6413:Connection not open". I can connect to the database from sever explorer but OracleConnection con=new Oracleconnection(connstr); is leading to an exception

Further I have the copied the dll in "C:\app\hp\product\12.1.0\client_1\bin" from this "C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\BIN". I dont understand why i have two paths like those.

I am migrated 10g report into 11g.After that can i install 11g patches?It will impact any report issues or ?
It will impact means i will loss the reports.

i have met problem while running script catalog.sql in oracle 10g r2 , while running it came out from the Database and then i can't get into the database please help ..
