  • Problem while running the xml report in concurrent program

    Hi,
    In EBS r12, we have requirement to have a standard report output in excel.
    I got the report's xml output to create the xml template (.RTF layout) using BI Publisher.
    I created the .RTF layout and it works fine on my laptop using Bi Publisher.. the xml loads into it and i can preview xml data on layout with all format (Excel, PDF...)
    I uploaded the layout to EBS, and assigned it to the standard report.
    I changed standard report out put to XML
    When i go to submit report request, the template is assigned with report and everything seems correct.
    But after i run the report.
    The report is Completed with Warning status.. and output is only XML with Error message :

    I guess we should submit XML publisher request "XDOREPPB" in "After report trigger" to generate the report output. You can refer the below link for syntax for submission of the program.
    Re: Excel Output appears in IE after submitting XDOREPPB from backend
    This may be helpful if not please ignore it.

  • Problem while querying MS Acess DB through JAVA

    Hi,
    I am using a query as follows:
    strQuery = "select * from A where UID=?";
    //have set the parameter
    resultSet = ps.executeQuery();
    sysout(resultSet);//printing resultSet Object
    if(null != resultSet)
    //have created object of class UsrDetails
    UsrDetails u =new UsrDetails();
    while(resultSet.next())
    sysout(resultSet);//printing resultSet Object again
    //set the values for UsrDetails.
    I hve given uid which is not present in the table A. Now the first sysout is getting printed(not null) but the control is not going into while i.e second sysout is not getting printed.
    I don't know why this is happening. I guess I shld get null if the rcrd is not present in the DB.

    chasan wrote:
    ResultSet is not null if the number of rows returned is zero.
    Try replacing if(null != resultSet) with if(resultSet.next())
    Wrong. The correct idiom is:
    while (resultSet.next())
        // process the results in here.
    }>
    Then if it enters the if block invoke resultSet.previous() so that the first record is not lost.Nonsense. The first record isn't lost. This is poor advice from start to finish.

  • Problem while querying a form

    hi,
    if i query my form with wrong value ie, press F7 give wrong value for EMPNO and press F8. it says Query caused no records to be retrieved. but after that its not coming out of the first row.
    if i press cancel button, the cursor remains in the first record itself.
    i have written      exit_form(NO_VALIDATE) in exit button.
    pls give me solution for this problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    add this code to the exit button .
    BEGIN
    --come of of the enter-query mode
    IF :SYSTEM.MODE = 'ENTER-QUERY' THEN
       EXIT_FORM(NO_VALIDATE);
    END IF;
      --exit the form
    EXIT_FORM(NO_VALIDATE);
    END;you need 2 exit, one if the system is in enter-query mode, to come out of it and the other one for exiting the form.

    You would either need to explicitly concatenate the bind variables, i.e.
    String QQQ="Select name,description,start_date from Events where TO_CHAR(start_date,'MM/DD/YYYY')=? || '/' || ? || '/' || ?"or you would need to have a single bind variable and pass the whole string
    String QQQ="Select name,description,start_date from Events where TO_CHAR(start_date,'MM/DD/YYYY')=?"
    stmt.setString(1, "09/27/2004" );Justin

    It will open database utility
    there u select the Activate and adjust database button.
    then the database table will get adjusted.
    just try it once.........

  • Insertion in XML Type table and fetching the data in Pro*C

    I have a Pro*C program written which populate one temp table. That temp table is used for writing the records to a flat file and then the table is purged by this program itself. Now my requirement is to write a new procedure in this progarm which simultaneously populate new XML Type table. Also i have to write some other procedures/functions to query the XML type table
    in Pro*C. I am new to XML part of database. Could somebody suggest how to go ahead with this problem

    Please check the Oracle Database 10g: XML DB Developer's Guild for example.

    Use lower case letters for your variable names (name, pwd). The code works then.
    package com.bluenile.bean;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Bean1 implements Serializable
    private String name="Uname";
    private String pwd="Pword";
    public String getName()
    return name;
    public String getPwd()
    return pwd;
    void setName(String name)
    this.name = name;
    void setPwd(String pwd)
    this.pwd = pwd;

  • LPX-00004 - Problems while inserting xml files in a xmltype column

    I've faced two problems while trying to insert xml files into my table containing a xmltype column:
    create table xml_test (id number(20),content xmltype)
    I use following java code for writing xml docs into db:
         conn.setAutoCommit(false);
         OraclePreparedStatement stmt = (OraclePreparedStatement)
              conn.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO xml_test (id,content) VALUES(?,?)");
         File file = new File(file1);
         InputStream in1 = new FileInputStream(file1);
         Reader r1 = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in1, "UTF-8"));
         int len = 0;
         StringBuffer text = new StringBuffer();
         while ((len = r1.read()) != -1) {
              text.append((char) len);
         in1.close();
         r1.close();
         XMLType poXML1 = XMLType.createXML(conn, text.toString());
         for (int i = 1; i <= 1; i++) {
              stmt.setInt(1, i);
              stmt.setObject(2, poXML1);
              stmt.execute();
         conn.commit();
    1. problem: occures only if a xml schema has been assoicated to the specific xmltype column. it seems that the length of a specific xml tag in the document is limited. but why?

    It's hard for me to tell you more without seeing your instance data, but for problem #1, if you look at the underlying SQL types being generated by your schema, you will see that the default SQL mapping for a "string" in your schema is a VARCHAR2(4000) (and I believe this would be only 2000 for a varying width character set like UTF8).
    You can specify that you wish this column to be mapped as a CLOB in your schema if this is the problem. Also note that there is a 64K limit on the size of an individual node in XMLType.

  • Problem while creating xml with cdata section

    Hi,
    I am facing problem while creating xml with cdata section in it. I am using Oracle 10.1.0.4.0 I am writing a stored procedure which accepts a set of input parameters and creates a xml document from them. The code snippet is as follows:
    select xmlelement("DOCUMENTS",
    xmlagg
    (xmlelement
    ("DOCUMENT",
    xmlforest
    (m.document_name_txt as "DOCUMENT_NAME_TXT",
    m.document_type_cd as "DOCUMENT_TYPE_CD",
    '<![cdata[' || m.document_clob_data || ']]>' as "DOCUMENT_CLOB_DATA"
    ) from table(cast(msg_clob_data_arr as DOCUMENT_CLOB_TBL))m;
    msg_clob_data_arr is an input parameter to procedure and DOCUMENT_CLOB_TBL is a pl/sql table of an object containing 3 attributes: first 2 being varchar2 and the 3rd one as CLOB. The xml document this query is generating is as follows:
    <DOCUMENTS>
    <DOCUMENT>
    <DOCUMENT_NAME_TXT>TestName</DOCUMENT_NAME_TXT>
    <DOCUMENT_TYPE_CD>BLOB</DOCUMENT_TYPE_CD>
    <DOCUMENT_CLOB_DATA>
    &lt;![cdata[123456789012345678901234567890123456789012]]&gt;
    </DOCUMENT_CLOB_DATA>
    </DOCUMENT>
    </DOCUMENTS>
    The problem is instead of <![cdata[....]]> xmlforest query is encoding everything to give &lt; for cdata tag. How can I overcome this? Please help.

  • Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file

    So, after having trouble with my Photoshop scratch disk, I had to do an archive and install of my Mac OS 10.6.1 then reinstall the Adobe suite. I then had to run the Licensing Repair Tool (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html).
    Now everything works but Dreamweaver, which is throwing the following error:
    "Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file.
    Please delete the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak to menus.xml"
    I tried that. menus.bak is a directory, not a file. Even renaming the directory didn't work.
    I saw this http://forums.adobe.com/message/2188511#2188511
    but I don't have a /FlashPlayerTrust/ directory, nor do I see what that has to do with Dreamweaver.
    I couldn't find a corresponding solution for this http://forums.adobe.com/message/862339#862339 for the Mac OS.
    This http://forums.adobe.com/message/3396334#3396334 didn't help, either.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks!

    This is the error I got after deleting (moving) the configuration directory.
    "No document types have been found in the Configuration/DocumentTypes/ folder. The MMDocumentTypes.xml file may be missing or corrupted. The application will exit now."
    I've reinstalled the entire Adobe CS4 (which fixed my Photoshop problem but created this Dreamweaver problem) and then reinstalled Dreamweaver alone.
    I've also attached a screenshot of the Dreamweaver directory tree with the menus.xml files.

    You could just try changing your Input Sources under System Preferences>Language & Text:
    But I kind of doubt that's going to work. It may be a hardware problem or a system problem. If you take it into Apple they might be able to determine which and might advise a reinstallation of System software. I would take it to an Apple Store or an AASP but, first, make sure that you have a backup just in case they suggest a clean install of the system.
    Good luck,
    Clinton
