Problem with 6071E to write data on file?

Hi,
I would like to save my value from analog input of my 6071E card on a text file, I've only on channel selected but when I run my program I've an error.
I'm in continuous mode but over than 10kHz and 10000 samples the program doesn't work, and I need to be at 100k or 1MHz.
Thanks a lot

drikc,
if the file-format is the only headache for you in this example, then the solution is very easy: Just replace all binary-functions from the file IO with appropiate ASCII-functions. Of course, you have to convert your data into string(s) first.
Since ASCII files are very slow compared to binary and the conversion takes time as well, you have to benchmark if you achieve the performance you need with this mechanics....

Problem with DMGs and error: "No Mountable File Systems"
The files are not corrupt. The problem is occurring with all DMGs that are apparently formatted in MS-DOS FAT16. No the file will not mount with Disk utility or any other disk mounter programs I have found.
This is now the second time this occurred and now effects my MBP and my iMac. First time i spent days with Apple support and the only solution was ultimately back up the data, reformat the HD, start over from scratch and reload everything. That lasted about a month before the problem resurfaced and is now an issue on both iMac and MBP.
I tried to identify all the programs I installed immediately before the error, as I am convinced it is the result of a software conflict.
    Recent programs includes:
    1) upgrading from Parallels 5.5 to 6.0 on both machines.
    2) using an HP secure II usb drive and setting up a secure disk.
    3) installing new itunes 10
    4) new update to Flip For Mac.
The files affected are downloaded dmgs, including personal brain and google earth, both which are formatted in FAT16.
Any help or thoughts? Apple has now spent hours trying and they say i now have to reformat and wipe and start over. That is unacceptable and based on pasted experience the problem is likely to repeat itself. having to wipe and rebuild a HD ever month is not an solution. i need to fid the root problem.
In the meantime, anyone got a real solution on how to extract the data for a DMG using a different method?

Where you able to find the solution, i am having the same problem, all was fine till i install some programs only same one i saw did we both did was flip4mac i uninstalled it but the problem is still there, i also restored and erased the hardrive but im not up to doing that all over again. If you found anything out let me know i would greatly appreciate it

  • How to write data to file Java ME cldc 1.1 midp 2.0?

I newly in java me, please help me.
I make project in NetBeans 7.0.1. and use cldc 1.1 midp 2.0.
I want to write data to the file.
    How can I do it?
I try to use FileOutputStream. But it don't exists in java.io
NetBeans shows me only this list of classes and interfaces in java.io:
ByteArrayInputStream, ByteArrayOutputStream, DataInput, DataInputStream, DataOutput, DataOutputStream, InputStream, InputStreamReader, OutputStream, OutputStreamWriter, PrintStream, Reader, Writer.
    Why it so short?
And how I can write data to file?
Data can be array of bytes (byte[]) or Object it better.

You must use JSR 75: FileConnection. Please check the following article "Getting Started with the FileConnection APIs":
    http://developers.sun.com/mobility/apis/articles/fileconnection/
    Be sure to use FileSystemRegistry.listRoots().
And welcome to Java ME development. :)

  • Problems with the O2 blackberry data package on my Curve 3G.

I have already informed O2 about this but they claim that I should be used the blackberry support services, but nothing there helps me!
I got my Blackberry Curve 3G on September 9th this year and I put on the Blackberry Data Package bolt-on onto my phone on September 16th. I then received a text to say they've taken £5 from my credit and it will be up and running in the next 24 hours. Its now September 19th and my BBM is not working at all and I am extremely upset with the services and behaviour I have received from both O2 and Blackberry.
Is there any way you can help? If this fails, I shall be forced to go back to the shop from where I got my Blackberry from and ask for their help.
    Many thanks, Jade.

I have been a loyal customer for years and have a hot spot because internet options are very limited in our rural area.  I have stayed with 10G since the beginning.  Most months I don't use the 10G.  Verizon has no problem with me paying for Data I don't use.  This month my daughter comes home from College and she accidentally uses 24G.....14 over get blind sided with $140.00 in overages.  I called Verizon today......stopped in to the store today......My neighbor told me they waved charges for her one time.  Lots of charges.....But I'm am getting no help.  Not even an offer of a payment plan to help me out.  I went back just 6 months and I have over paid for 19G.....Seems like they would like to help out their loyal customers!!!!     Does anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with them?   We are not wealthy....or I would just pay this and walk away......

There is a big misconception in what customers believe a cell carrier is obligated to do.
You pay a set price to use up to that amount of xx data. It makes no difference if you use it to the paid limit or way under. Its like peace of mind when you don't have to worry about a data counter.
Your daughter used the data, your plan is quite clear of what overage charges are. Why should or would Verizon wireless just forgive the charges because you are a customer? Your daughter used the data, get the money from her. That is the responsible thing to do.
There is no "I have been a loyal customer so please remove the $120, or $250, or $2,000.00 since I did not mean to use it"
Your electric company, or gas company or any other company does not remove valid charges. Why should Verizon wireless?
Just pay the invoice and don't think you are being mistreated because Verizon is a business and not a charity.
    Good Luck

I installed latest yosemite 10.10.2 update - did a verify disk on “WDC WD1001FALS-403AA0 Media” (internal HD on my iMac 21.5-inch, Mid 2011) and got

I had issues where my MacPro 8-core would not boot after the 10.7.4 upgrade, but my MacBook Air 13" 2011 upgrade worked just fine.
I had to restore my MacPro HD from my TimeMachine back up. Apparently, the Softraid raid drivers that I use on my MacPro are not compatible yet with 10.7.4. See here for more info:
    http://macperformanceguide.com/blog/2012/20120511_1-MacOSX-SoftRAID.html
I contacted Softraid and they are already aware of the issues and are working with Apple for a fix.

  • MacBookPro SSD Error- ALERT: The partition map needs to be repaired because there's a problem with the EFI system partition's file system.

MacBook Pro OS x Mavericks. I have Sandisk 256GB SSD and I am getting a below error message.
ALERT: The partition map needs to be repaired because there's a problem with the EFI system partition's file system.
Does anyone know how to resolve this error and fix it ? unfortunately I don't have a Time Machine backup. Thanks!

Have you tried to run the verify/repair permissions and verify/repair disk through the recovery disk? If that didn't work then I would reinstall the OS after backing up. If that still doesn't work I would take it in.

  • I want to run my program with continuous aquisition and write data to file when a button is pressed and get the most recent samples from the DAQ board.

This is an update to a question I asked earlier. I am still trying to solve the problem. I have included a zip file with a library file. The file to open in pj_pushbutton.vi. I have placed comments explaining the issues and problems in this vi and the subvi's.
When I push my button to write the data to file I think it is writing the data that has already been stored in the buffer and writing to file all at once. I want the data that is taken from the DAQ board from the time that I press the Write File button. How do I do this?

    Hi,
    1. In AI read, you need to set the Read/Search option to "Relative to End of Data".
    2. Next you should not start AI Read VI until you press the Write to File. I am attaching an example VI below. Please see if it helps.

  • Attempting to write data to file, but getting error 200279

I am having trouble when writing data to a file. About 10 seconds into the saving process, I get the error 200279. I have done some research on the topic, but am unable to corect my code. I believe I do not want to increase the buffer size, but would rather, I assume, read the data more frequently. The way I save my file is, before running the VI, I assign a location and name of the file (e.g. data.csv). The date and time is appended to the end of the actual file when the I begin to save the data (e.g. data_07-26-13_122615.csv). If the file does not exist, it creates a new file, then appends data to that file after every loop iteration. The reason I did it this way was so I do not have to worry about running out of memory, but apparently my code is flawed.
I will include a copy of the flawed section of my code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Your problem is that writing to disk is slow.  It is slow enough that it is causing your DAQ buffer to overflow and cause the error and loss of data.  What you need to do is implement a Producer/Consumer.  This will put the daq and the logging to disk in seperate loops.  This will allow the DAQ to run at the speed it needs to keep up with incoming samples and the writing to disk can run at whatever rate it can.  You send the DAQ data to the logging loop using a queue.
You might also want to think about changing how you write to the file.  That VI is constantly opening and closing the file, which is a very slow process if you are doing it inside of a loop.

  • Using Swing applet to write data to file on SERVER

    Hello,
I'm in the process of writing an applet using Swing (SDK v1.4.2). Here's the deal. The JApplet calls a JPanel, which will be used by customers on my site to enter data. I'm adding a <Save> button to the "form" which is supposed to write data to a file on the server (in order to preserve the customer's preferences).
Please note that I am NOT attempting to write data to the customer's hard disk. That requires digital certificates, etc. which I am trying to avoid for now.
Instead, I am using the URL class to access the file:
    URL page = new URL("http://www.whatever.com/mycustomers/preferences.txt")
I then use the URLConnection class to establish the connection:
    URLConnection conn = this.page.openConnection();
    conn.setDoInput(true);
    conn.setDoOutput(true);
    conn.connect();
    etc...
I've created a text file (preferences.txt) on my web site. Using the classes InputStreamReader, BufferedStreamReader, and StringBuffer, I can successfully read the file into a JOptionPane in my applet.
The problem comes when I try to write data TO this file. I know the file exists because the applet can read it. I've set the permissions on the file to 666. I've got all of the appropriate syntax within a try statment that catches an IOException. I also have JOptionPanes all over the place to let me know where the program is. I've tried different combinations of output streams like BufferedWriter, BufferedOutputStream, StringWriter, but the file does not get updated. When the applet runs, it does not throw any exceptions, not even when I change the URL from "HTTP://www.whatever.com/prefs.txt" to "HTTP:/www.whatever.com/prefs.txt" (only one slash on HTTP, shouldn't I get a MalformedURLException?)
I apologize for all the background, but I thought you might need it. The bottom line is:
    1) Can an applet write to a file on a remote server (not local hard disk)?
    2) If so, what (if any) caveats are there?
    3) Is there a way to check for file existence or be able to create a new file?
    4) I'm using the HTTP protocol - is there some restriction that prevents an applet from writing to a file using that protocol? If so, is there a workaround?
    5) Assuming that creating/writing a file using the method I've described is possible, what would be the appropriate output streams to use? (Currently, I'm using OutputStreamWriter with BufferedWriter).
I've been struggling with this for a while. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks
P.S. I also posted this message on the Applet development forum, but I've received no response as of yet.

Http servers support PUT as a mechanism to upload data to a specified URL. Get on the other hand which is what most people are familiar with is how you retrieve that data. The basic URLConnection is an abstraction of the Http connection which can be used for GET and POST operations by default based on doInput(true|false).. If you which to use any of the http methods other than GET|POST you will have to cast the URLConnection to HttpURLConnection so you can gain access to the specific Http functionaility that could not be abstracted.
Since you are using a hosting service the chances are that you won't be able to use HTTP PUT on their server. Most servers do not support HTTP PUT without configuring them todo so. Now Apache allows localized config through the .htacess file. It might be possible (keep in mind I am not an apache expert) to configure a particular directory to allow HTTP PUT using this .htacess file it may not be possible. You will have to consult the Apache web server documentation for that answer.
But regardless you can use the HttpURLConnection and the PUT method to send data from your applet to the server. In fact that is the preferred way to do this. If you can not configure your web server to support that method then you will have to develop a Servlet to do it. A servlet has several methods such as doGet(), doPost(), and doPut(). You would override the doPut() method get the URI path create a file and a FileOutputStream to that file, get from the request the inputstream, possibly skip the http headers, and then write byte for byte the incoming data to your OutputStream until you reach the end at which point you would close the OutputStream and send an Http Response of some sort. Typically in HTTP it would be 200 OK plus some web content. You content can be empty so long as your applet recognizes that is what it should expect...
    And away you go...

  • Problem with intermittent sampling and writing to file(s)

I am describing the functionality that I am trying to achieve via the attached VI.
The VI opens with a sequence structure. In the first sequence step analog output voltages for 2 AO channels are set
The next sequence step consists of analog data acquisition
Custom linear scales for 3 input channels are specified, to convert input ‘volts’ to respective physical quantity being measured
The input voltage signal is with +/- 10V but the physical quantity (forces) are greater than 10N
The headers for the data files are created as strings
The acquisition is set for finite sample acquisition
The VI is set for periodic acquisition, wherein the data is acquired for specific time period given by ‘Sampling on’ and then ignored for time period specified by ‘Interval off’.
The VI is set to write instantaneous data to multiple files. Each time the While loop is executed the instantaneous data, number of samples read (sampling rate x Sampling on time),  is written to a ‘.dat’ file.
Statistical operations on data collected for each While loop execution is performed. These values (average & st. dev) are then written to another file ‘*.sum’ with respective headers
The headers for the ‘*.sum’ file are written only for the first execution of the While loop
The VI is designed to run for a specific duration after which the execution of  While loop is stopped
Certain safety features are incorporated to terminate the execution of the While loop if the ratio of measured quantities exceeds a preset limit.
In the last sequence the analog outputs are set to zero
I am having following problems with the execution of the VI:
The VI does not write instantaneous data to data files (*.dat)
The VI writes the averaged data for *.sum file for only the first execution of the While loop.
It also truncates the values to around 10.5 written in *.sum file. While implies that the custom scale is not working as intended.
I would really appreciate if you would tell me how to fix these bugs with the VI. I would really appreciate your help.
    Have a happy holiday season.
    Thanks,
    Dinesh

Lynn, he may actually not be to blame for the diagram size. It does not change if you "clean" it, which leads me to believe that this is what he did. But a very entertaining diagram it is. A true case study :-)
Now, the strange thing is that stuff like this remains in it:
As Lynn said, the reason why the file is updated only once is that there must be an error after the first acquisition completes. The only way to figure out which one it is (in order to avoid or correct it) is to debug your code in situ (using a probe on the error wires). It might be because you try to restart your acquisition within the loop (you probably should stop it first if you really want to restart it anyhow). I would put the start out of the while loop and try this way. The error might occur elsewhere though or for another reason...
Since you recreate your dat file at each iteration, the second giving you nothing because of an (unknown) error, will essentially erase your first successful iteration.
I don't understand the truncation statement.

  • Samples number is not properly set with VI Express Write To Measurement File

    Hello,
I have a strange problem with the VI Express Write To Measurement File.
When I generate the .lvm file the samples number for each channel is equal to 1
    instead of 34 !
So when I use the VI Express / Input / Generate an arbitrary signal and I want to import
the generated signal... only one point (the first one) is imported...
I can manualy fix it by changing samples number in the lvm file using a text editor but that's a (very) dirty hack !
Here is an example of the generated LVM file

If I use the "one header per segment" option I get the following LVM file (see below)
But the problem is same !
I can't import this file in VI Express / Input / Generate Abitrary Signal (I only get one row... the first one)
    I see three solutions :
    - VI Express Write LVM has a bug ?
    - I don't know how to use this VI Express correctly !
    - VI Express / Input / Generate Abitrary Signal has a bug ?
