Problem with downloading data from cube into flatfile
Hi,
I am writing a program to download data from cube into flatfile .The program will be run in the background with user has given his selection in a table.the program works fine .The current problem which i am facing is the character length.e.g. Material is 18 ..but in my dynamic internal table it store the value of material with length of 10 character.
So i am not able to see the output material in correct format.Anybody knows how to change this format.

Theorethically, you can setup the material code length in TX OMSL, which uses the TMCNV table.
Why don't you change the structure of your internal table changing material fiela length from 10 to 18?

[email protected]Due to the nature of the cube design, that would be difficult, that's why there are API's, FMs, and MDX capabilities - to eliminate the need to navigate the physical structure. Otherwise you would have to concern yourself with:
- that there are two fact tables E and F that would need to be read. The Factview could take of this one.
- you would want to be able to read aggregates if they were available.
- the fact table only as DIM IDs or SIDs (for line item dims) to identify the data, not characteristic values. A Dim ID represents a specific combination of characteristic values. -
Problem with diplaying data from cube
Hello,
I have a cube with 15 dimensions.
The problem is as follows, if I display all the dimensions I can see data in some cells.
Let's suppose Dim1 has values A and B and Dim2 values C and D.
Example:
C D
A 2
B 5
Now, if I remove Dim2 from the report in measure data viewer I get null diplayed, although I'd expect something like this:
A B
2 5
Anybody can give a hint?

Problems with retrieving data from tables with 240 and more records
Hi,
I've been connecting to Oracle 11g Server (not sure exact version) using Oracle 10.1.0 Client and O10 Oracle 10g driver. Everything was ok.
I installed Oracle 11.2.0 Client and I started to have problems with retrieving data from tables.
First I used the same connection string, driver and so on (O10 Oracle 10g) then I tried ORA Oracle but with no luck. The result is like this:
I'm able to connect to database. I'm able to retrieve data but from small tables (e.g. with 110 records it works perfectly using both O10 and ORA drivers). When I try to retrieve data from tables with like 240 and more records retrieval simply hangs (nothing happens at all - no error, no timeout). Application seems to hang forever.
I'm using Powerbuilder to connect to Database (either PB10.5 using O10 driver or PB12 using ORA driver). I used DBTrace, so I see that query hangs on the first FETCH.
So for the retrievals that hang I have something like:

On the side note, I have no problems with retrieving data either by SQL Developer or DbVisualizer.
Problems started when I installed 11.2.0 Client. Even if I want to use 10.0.1 Client, the same problem occurs. So I guess something from 11.2.0 overrides 10.0.1 settings.

Installing 11g client changed something that even using old 10g client (which I still have installed) fails to work. The same problem occur no matter I'm using 10g or 11g client now. Powerbuilder hangs on retrieving tables with more than like 240 records.

KostyaHow downloaded objects/document are treated in browser is purely "browser defined behavior". Sometime someone said that or these kind of files (recognized by miome contenet - alias file extension) default behavior will be "show inline" or show in browser. This is esspecially true for Adobe 7.x and IE 6.x and Firefox 2.x....
For a test of my thoughts, install new browser (let say Opera or Mozila) and try to download LOB(doc). I'm sure that "Save As" dialog will show!

Problem with output data when calling into Oracle stored procedure
I have a problem that I think I've seen posted by others, but I can't find it anywhere on the forum. Here's what it looks like:
I have a application that sends a query parameter called custID in a URL to a JSP page.
http://domain.com/decrypt.jsp?custID=ewsw
The JSP subsequently calls into the method below to run a decryption stored procedure on an Oracle db. The custId parameter works fine from most clients. However, I have seen the decryption stored procedure return invalid information on some clients in the following case:

Here is how I define my call to the DCUSTID (decryption stored procedure):

The back tick doesn't matter.
How do you know that the routine that you posted returns invalid information? Are you printing the value retreived before you return in the code that you posted? That is the only way to tell if that code is the problem vs some translation problem in something else.
And what do you mean by 'invalid'? It does return a numeric value right? Is it negative? Or so large that it couldn't be a key? Or what?
The input parameter to the stored proc is a varchar and not a char correct? -

Create a context node for the screen fields for which you want to enter the values with cardinality 1.1.....
Now in the layout of your view bind the screen input fields to that context node(attributes) to the value property of the input fields...
Now in the action of ADD button....
--> go the wizard and select the read node button and select the node which you have created it generates the auto code for you.....
for example if the node is contains aone attribute like MATNR
reading the node from wizard will generate the code as....

Problems with downloading files from the internet?
I have Mozilla Firefox and Safari on my macbook. For some reason it will not let me download things from the internet. Whenever i keep a download link, the page never loads....can anyone put some insight into my problem?

Problems with downloading videos from the internet....please help
sorry if this the wrong forum to post but I don't know where else to post my issue.
Normally when I download videos from the internet I click on "window" then "activity" then the largest file ie ? of ? (which is the MB file) and it downloads then I use isquint to put it to mp4 format. However now when I do that the file I download says that "video _ts folders can't be directly converted" and there is a button that says "Inadequacy". I can't even download videos from youtube. Any help would be great.

Use Software Update to update your OS which is seriously out of date. The last version of Leopard I believe was either v5.6 or v5.8. Also, update all the other things listed that pertain to the OS & your model computer if applicable to your needs.

I realise that the date formats will differ - and one of Yvan Koenigs's useful postings explains that when we extract a date from a Numbers table we get a UTC date time value. He also showed how to get rid of that problem with the formula :

But the UTC time when I obtained the above result was 4:10 am on 26th March, not 6:10 am on 27th March. Why is this?
Incidentally, is there a better way of putting the current date into an applescript variable?If your local time is 5:10 PM on the 26th when the UTC time is 4:10 AM on the 26th, your local time is apparently 13 hours ahead of UTC. Therefore, if the UTC time were 5:10 PM on the 26th, your local time would be 6:10 AM on the 27th. There is nothing inconsistant here. Numbers' value is a local time, but AppleScript thinks it is UTC and converts it.
In general, the current date command in AppleScript would be the best way to put the current date into an AppleScript variable; no need to involve Numbers:
set nowDate to current date
(See the Miscellaneous Commands section of the Standard Additions dictionary in your AppleScript Editor.) -
Problem with upload data from CRM to BI system
When I try to perform full upload data from CRM to BI system with data source 0BPARTNER_ATTR (active version: Excutable). I waited for a long time but there are not any records were transfered (total records need to upload are 130) . I checked the log and can't find any errors.
