Problem with installed apps

I recently updated to ios 6 but now all of my installed apps say this instead on installed

-Also, whenver i touch that thing that replaces installed, the app just starts to redownload.

Well, if for some reason you need to re-download the app, you'll have to pay for it again.  If that download happens to fail (like in my situation), you have to pay AGAIN to try and get it. If it fails a third time, you'll have to pay again and so on.
I downloaded RoadSync (10 Euro) and my phone had to be re-installed.  I re-installed my phone, and Ovi wanted me to rebuy RoadSync.  I tried emailing support (fail) and with no reponse, re bought it.  It then failed mid download, and It wants me to buy a third time.
Ovi support has yet to get back to me, Nokia Care told me to jump off a cliff and contact the vendor.  Vendor says contact ovi.

  • Problems with installing Apps over 3G (iPhone OS 3.0)

    Since the new OS 3.0 update I've been having some recurring issues when installing applications.
    I go to the App store and enter my password (or enter it once I've selected an app - this step makes no difference)
    The App starts loading.
    Here is where the problem occurs, once it gets to about half way, it goes back to the beginning and starts again.
    For some apps it might do this 10 times before it starts installing.
    For other apps it simply says after 10 tries or so "Could not download application".
    Basically the bar stops just before it normally changes to status text to "installing".
    This is frustrating because I have excellent 3G reception with DL speeds of close to 300Kbps and this is eating into my quota. Especially so when doing 8 or so updates.
    When I connect it to WiFi I don't seem to have this problem anymore.
    This never used to happen before and only since the 3.0 update is it occurring. It makes me very reluctant to run updates or download apps. Updates essentially cripple my apps if they do not complete in some instances.
    Has anyone else come across this and if so is there any solution other than some hack job?

    im having the same problem too, at first i was thinking it was just my phone, but no it is still happening
    anyway, i went into the Apple store today, and explained what was happening. The dude at the bar told me it is a known issue with Optus. Dam optus. i still dont really believe it tho, so i am going to try a different networks sim in my phone tomorrow and see if it makes any difference.

    OK, let's try again. Wind is NOT a supported carrier. In order to use tethering, it must be supported and activated by your carrier for the iPhone. This usually involves an additional fee.  You will have to ask your carrier if they can enable it. Odds are, since they are not a supported carrier, they can not. If you want to use tethering, you will most likely have to switch to a supported carrier that offers this feature on the iPhone.

    Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

    Hey guys,
    So trying to install Xcode on my Late 12 Macbook Pro with the ML update for a project with work.
    Everytime I try to install through the app store, I get the Grey Screen of Death. Anyone else having this problem or what could it be? I've had no other problems with installing programs through the App Store.
    I am currently downloading through the developer portal, so hopefully that works.

  • If you have problems with Apple Apps after installing Mavericks

    I had a problem with Apple Apps after installing Mavericks. They would bounce in the dock but never open.  The problem apps I had trouble with were CALENDAR, MAIL, and even APP STORE.   I am guessing it has to do with permissions when setting up via iCloud.  Here's what I did to make my apps work again after the update:
    Restart computer, then immediately hold down OPTION so you can start from the 10.9 RECOVERY DISK.
    Run DISK UTILITY, then run REPAIR DISK, then run REPAIR DISK PERMISIONS.
    After this, RESTART, then hold COMMAND OPTION P R at the same time until your computer restarts three times.
    After it boots up, the apps began working like they should have.

    Problems with n97 apps connecting to network (Vodafone UK – 3G)
    Recently a number of my apps which used to connect automatically to the internet (which ever was available – known wi-fi or 3g) have stopped doing this.  They now only connect to one known wi-fi.
    I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling each app, but this hasn’t solved the problem.  I’ve checked for software updates and do not believe any have been applied or are available.  All apps have been downloaded via Ovi on the phone.  I still am able to access the internet by the web browser which was installed on the phone and via google maps (which also still manages GPS position, search, etc).
    The apps which I notice causing a problem are:
    Sainsbury’s/nectar
    Tesco
    Map my tracks
    Snaptu
    Opera Mini
    Any one got any ideas???

    I have the same problem since i updated my mac to 10.5.6.
    Each time I have to do a diagnostic and retype the WEP password to have the internet connection.

    hi all,
    I have a problem with installing or uninstalling apps on 808. When i try to install an application through Nokia suite or when trying to run the application file from the phone's memory the screen freezes and becomes unresponsive but the 3 phone buttons work just fine. I have to shut down the phone and the screen becomes responsive again. Anything available to help me wiith this situations as I cannot use any of the apps I have. Any help much appreciated.

    You are not alone. Im also having the same issue because we do alot of install and uninstall apps. This is the bad point of symbian. But I tired to install the latest FP2 it will be slightly abit smoother now. So you have the latest version now but did you tired to restore any backup yet? It might be the setting on when you restore that affect it. The feezing should be shorten on FP2 but it will still remain there depending on the type of apps from what I experience.
    I hope they will provide multiple function to uninstall apps since it will go through a long process to uninstall apps 1 by 1.
    Reason is because some apps will go through process like preparing install, process install, finalising install which take away your control for that few seconds or a minute instead runnning in background mode. Its not convenient to uninstall more apps.

    Try downloading another app - any free app is fine. See if that resets the other apps and allows them to work again.

    Having a major problem with iBooks app. Can only get free classic books but nothign contemporary. Cannot update the app either. Works perfectly on my ipad! Should I delete the app and reload? Will I losse all the books I already have??

    It is true that all purchases should share a single Apple ID. It is also true that both iOS and OS X allow only one iCloud account per user. And it is true than every Apple ID has an iCloud account, and every iCloud account an Apple ID [1]. Most unfortunately, it is also true that many (most?) Apple customers have multiple Apple IDs (even if they don't know it - I have 4 [2]).
    So far, so simple. Here is the catch. On both iOS and OS X the Apple ID for purchases need not match the Apple ID for account-specific iCloud services. Life is much nicer if they do match, but they don't have to. Part of the bug I ran into was related to a configuration error, probably arising during Mavericks install over Mountain Lion, that gave iBooks my user account's iCloud services Apple ID rather than the iOS/iTunes store Apple ID.
    Apple's identity management is a mess of almost unfathomable proportion -- the sort of mess that every smart exec runs from. I'm certain it's gummed up by contracts with rights holders, disparate internal systems, unfortunate choices and a nest of secondary assumptions. It would take a will of iron and a lot of cleverness to solve. I'm curious whether Tim Cook will force the fix.
    [1] Curiously, however, an iCloud account does not need to have an email address, and the iCloud account email address need not match the associated Apple ID. This is yet another unfortunate edge case of the Apple ID mess.

    since the update to OS X Yosemite, I have some problems with installing new programs.
    I tried to install the Fitbit App to connect my Fitbit to my Mac but the program can't be started after installation. I have the same problem with Blackberry Blend, too. I am able to install it but it doesn't start running.
