Problem with JDBC cc with new java server node

Hi experts,
I have the next situation I hope you can help me.
I created an additional java server node in a PI 7.1 system, this because helpful performance.
Bought nodes started ok.
The problem was when I saw in the RW that all the jdbc channels was in status ??? and in the Short Log "not adapter engine assigned".
I did the complete refresh cache en the SXI_CACHE.
I read that I can restart the Adapter Engine, unfortunately I don't have a System Administrator. Would you tell me how to restart the adapter engine?
If anybody have other option, please tell me.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Spantaleoni.
I'm doing a restart of the instance right now.
I complement the error. When I start or stop the cc has the next error.

  • Java Server Nodes / Dialog Instance

    Hi All,
    When do we go for increase of Java Server nodes and Dialog instance?
    Can i know the pros and cons of the same
    my server is very slow in responding. I have tried the option of increasing the heap size but then i have little sucess
    Rgds
    aditya

    Install a server process when the incoming request are many and the you can utilize more RAM memory
    for eg if there are 8GB RAM and you have 1 server process the maximum u can give it is 2GB while the max 4GB can be utilized by any of the server processes in all in this system
    Do not increase this heap size on the same server process (in windows u cant do it also max is 2GB) since then the garbage collection would take longer and also would run in few intervals
    A Dialog instance is used when the system resources is completely exhausted and then we go for another hardware and install a fresh dailog instance there.. Its always recommended to use a Web Dispatcher in between the outside world and the SAP server in cluster mode
    Hope i am right since i didnt find this information anywhere its based on my understanding and brainstorming sessions with other admins

  • Adding Java Server nodes Causes msgs to send multiple times

    i added 2 more server nodes in our system for load distribution and after turning on the comm channel, i see that every msg goes three times now.
    I have tried removing these 2 server nodes and then it sends it one time only. I dont know whats wrong and why it sends a msg three times with three server nodes.
    Can anybody help me with this?
    Thanks

    With which adapter(s) are you having this issue ?  I had a consultant from SAP tell me to avoid multiple JVM nodes with JDBC, and maybe he said file too.  He didn't have a solution, just sounds like it doesn't work too well (yet).

  • Too many session in the AS java server node?

    I have install a Netweaver JAVA portal system for customer , this is cluster system one CI and 10 DIs,  I found there are too many active session in each server node , I konw , the user can login anyone instance through the web dispatcher , but I found  nearly 3000 active session in each server node  after a work day  in average, and there are too many iterative session , sometime one user can have 30-40 session in each server node after a work day .
    I think the memmory is critical if there are have too many session , and sometimes, the log off fution of portal can't work ,so I  decided to set a time-out parameter of the session (4 hours),but this is active method to delete the session of the user ,no matter the user is working with system .
    Who can tell me how to effective control and enhance user's session managment of Netweaver Java server .

  • AS JAVA server nodes

    Hi,,
    How can I decidethe the numbrer of the server node.
    Heap size?  CPU thered?

    Hi
    When you install your Java instance, SAPInst automatically configures the number of server processes based on the hardware resources that are available.
    If you need to add more server processes to an existing Java instance, you can do that manually using the J2EE Engine Config Tool
    Check the below link to add more server processes

  • Newbie: Problem with jdbc-odbc and MS SQL server 2005

    I'm on win vistax64 with SQLSERVER 2005 and I have set up the odbc source as system dsn using the SQL Native Client driver with SQL authentication and the connectivity test in the end succeeds.
    I'm trying to make a simple web app that will connect to the database and perform simple querries. It's a school assignment.
    I'm using the jdbc-odbc bridge because it's the simplest way to do it and it's what we were shown in class.
    I get the following irritating error:
    "Cannot establish a connection to jdbc:odb:sstmdb using sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver ([Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specifies)".
    I'm working with netbeans 5.5.1 and this error is what I get when in the runtime tab I try to connect with the jdbc-odbc. I get a similar error in the logs when I try to run the app on the j2ee server.
    This is the java class that establishes the connection.
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.DriverManager;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    public class Connector {
        private static final String dbUrl="jdbc:odbc:sstmdb";
        private static final String user="kimon";
        private static final String password="jackohara";
        public static Connection getConnection(){
            Connection conn = null;
            try {
                Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
                conn = DriverManager.getConnection(dbUrl,user,password);
            } catch (SQLException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            return conn;
    }It has worked perfectly on my school PC with winXP and MSDE2000.
    What am I missing?

    Ok, help came from an other way where I was inquiring about a different problem:
    Connectivity works fine by using User DSN instead of System DSN for the ODBC source.

  • Problem using JDBC driver with JSP

    Hi, I am trying to connecto to my mysql server via a JSP page, but it seems that there is a problem with the driver call or something in my configuration that unables me to connect. I have the mysql-connector-java-3.0.7-stable driver.
    This is how my classpath looks like:
    CLASSPATH=/home/hooper/Sources/mysql-connector-java-4.0.7-stable/lib:/home/hooper/Sources/mysql-connector-java-3.0.7-stable/com:/home/hooper/Sources/mysql-connector-java-3.0.7-stable/mysql-connector-java-3.0.7-stable-bin.jar:/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_02:.:/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_02/lib/tools.jar:/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_02
    And this is my JSP page code:
    <%@ page language="java" import= "java.sql.*"%>
    <%
    Connection con = null;
         String userName = "hooper";
         String password = ""; //No password
         String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost/test";
         //Load the Driver class file
         Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
         //Make a connection to the MySQL database
         con = DriverManager.getConnection (url, userName, password);
         out.println ("Database connection established");
              if (con != null){
                   //Close the connection
                   con.close();
    %>
    And this is the error I get from Tomcat4.1.18:

    Hi..
    Try using this way
    String userName = "hooper";
    String password = ""; //No password
    String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test";
    Class.forName("org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver");
    try to download the driver for mysql and add it to your classpath
    Hope this works

    Shiju,
    You need to include the port and SID in your connect string. So if your port is 1521 and your SID is ORCL, your connect string becomes
    "jdbc:oracle:oci8:@qit-uq-cbiw_orcl:1521:ORCL"

  • Install problems - help needed desperately for new Java user

    I have been trying to install Java SE Development Kit 6 - Version 1.6.0_13. Initially I could not get the javac process to work no matter what I tried. After uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times I now have it so that my javac will rewrite my file from a .java to a .class file. Now when I try to execute my Hello.class file I am getting an error message....
    Error occurred during initialization of VM
    java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object
    Can anyone please help me fix this? I was really anxious to learn programming but all of these setbacks are really frustrating. I have basic books to help when I am up and running but nothing helps you with problems with installations.
    Please help!!!

    Thank you so much. Worked like a charm! I also installed from Explorer instead of Firefox. Maybe the Firefox installations were incompatible with my XP Environment????Worked fine for me... but I downloaded and then installed... I did NOT "run" the install over the network.

  • Windows java server node best practice?

    I'm coming from the windows/.NET world where I would usually expect a service that can be managed from the services applet or via the usual command line remote admin utils and doesn't need to interact with the console. Starting a java instance in a command window seems a bit odd to me.
    I imagine it would need to use some mechanism to run at startup and not require a logged in account or manual intervention. What's the best way to do this?

    You can also check Apache Daemon Procrun (http://commons.apache.org/daemon/procrun.html). I haven't tried it, but it should be able to do the job.

    Hi Michael Vstling,
    Did you try the java classes library (SDOAPI) that can be downloaded from OTN?
    It may provide you with a better alternative when manipulating geometries in the Java space. There is an adapter in SDOAPI which can convert a JDBC STRUCT object into Java Geometry object defined in SDOAPI, and vice versa.
    There are at least two ways in mixing PL/SQL and Java. The first one, as you mentioned, is to define your custom function in terms of PL/SQL and call it from within your Java program. With SDOAPI, you have the second option, which is to define your own functions in Java using SDOAPI and deploy them as Java stored procedures in db. You can then call them from within your PL/SQL code. In either way performance depends on a lot of things and generally it requires a "try and improve" approach.
    About JPublisher and sdo_ordinate_array it may not be a spatial related problem. Did you try search the Java-related forums first?

  • Unable to compile JSP in Java Server

    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP
    No Java compiler was found to compile the generated source for the JSP.
    This can usually be solved by copying manually $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar from the JDK
    to the common/lib directory of the Tomcat server, followed by a Tomcat restart.
    If using an alternate Java compiler, please check its installation and access path.

  • Boolean Search Constraint in new Java API doesn't work for value of false

    I'm developing an application that interfaces with MDM via the new Java API.  We're on MDM version 5.5 SP 4 and have the latest patches installed.  I can do searches fine on the repository, but have run into one problem with the Boolean Search Constraint.  I have a set of records in the main table that have several boolean fields.  I've discovered that when searching these records using a Boolean Search Constraint on any of the fields, I'm always receiving records that match the boolean value of true.  This is even when I specify the Boolean Search Constraint value as false.  Is anybody else seeing this problem?

    It's a bug in MDM 5.5 SP04.  The fix is in MDM 5.5 SP05.

    Hello,
    SQL Server Express will go to sleep if idle, this behavior is not configurable.
    When SQL Express transitions from idle to active some of the memory that was released needs to be reclaimed; this results is a slight lag during "startup time" when you're first connecting to SQL Express.
    The other sort of sleep occurs when a database with AUTO_CLOSE unloading itself after a period of inactivity. This can be resolved by setting AUTO_CLOSE to false.
    You can refer to the following blog about more details about this:

    You can try to upgrade the SQL Server Express to a non-free version to get rid of this.
