I want to create a widget but got a problem with a link. This is the html code.

On Windows with Firefox it works but on OS X as a widget it loads the target in to the widget. How can I make load it into a new Safari window? Or set it, that the default browser will be used….

DI has by nature some constraints, one is its memory leaks another one is the time of instanciation... I can keep going with some others like memeory consumption and not thread safe.
Servers technologhies are, starting by the historical one DI-Server and its companion which is B1WS and finishing by one which is the way to go: B1if (you can call scenario as web services).
What I meant by implementing a connection's cache mechanism, is to limit the number of connections and deconnections (the main issue with DI-API), but definitively I would try to go outside of this... But this is my personal point.

Problems with location based applications

I am having problems with all of my location based applications i.e. none of them work. It seems I can never be located by the GPS no matter where i am and i just get a permanently spinning wheel. I have deleted and reloaded the Apps (although even with the generic Maps App i cannot be located) and i have reset the phone Reset iPhone (but havent Reset Settings or Restored yet). I love my iPhone but this is very frustrating. Can someone please help ?

Didn't work unfortunately. My Location Services were On so i proceeded to Restore. All went ok on the Restore but i still have the same problem. I have 4 App's that are location based and none of them work. Your suggestion ? Thanks for your help.

Having Problems with Location finder

Since 4.0 update my location finder does not work on home network. Tried it on a public network and it works. Anybody else had this problem and did you find a solution.

Many people (myself included) noticed that Location Services stopped working with the upgrade to iOS 4.0. The symptom is that Maps and other apps say "Your location could not be determined." even in areas that used to work. The problem is that starting in iOS 3.2 and iOS 4.0, Apple switched from using the SkyHook location database to using their own. Whereas the SkyHook database had the ability for users to add their own WiFi access points, Apple does not have anyway for us to do that.
I just spent over an hour on the phone with Apple Support senior advisors, who initially wanted to restore my unit or even replace it (neither of which would have fixed it), until I found the news reports about Apples new location database. Eventually, I found a senior advisor who was able to track down the problem and admitted that, yes, since the switch from SkyHook to Apple's own database, many WiFi access points no longer work with location services. "Apple is working on the problem, and eventually it will be fixed, although there isn't any time estimate." I asked specifically if this meant that Apple was going to allow users to add their own WiFi access points, and she said "Yes."

Problem with locating videos

Okay, so I have had problems with my hard-drive in recent months so I backed up my videos I bought from the Music Store and I copied them (which actually erased them from my CD, so it was more like it 'Cut' them) back to iTunes when I had it up and running again. I had to update/restore my iPod and now when I try to put my videos back onto my iPod it says they cannot be located. BUT, the videos are listed under the 'Videos' section of my iTunes. How can I put them back onto my iPod? Where are they? I cannot find the files anywhere aside form their listings in 'Videos'

All of their "Wheres" say "Not available"...I am just confused of how they would be listed in my main library and Videos section but cannot be located. And the problem I have, I am assuming its a safeguard for iTunes, is that when I copied the files from their backed-up location on a CD, they were permanately removed. Any ideas? haha

Problems with location

I try to locate my Ipad on the programs on the Ipad, as well as via MobleMe "Find My Ipad", and it saws that the device can not be located. I was wondering since we are having rain and overcast, if that could be causing the problem, or if there is a problem with my Ipad itself. Everything else is working fine on it. It connects to the internet and everything.

like king said - if it is a wifi only, it has no gps chip, and relys on a table of router information that may or may not have your info in there. You might try a starbucks or other hotspot and try it there. note - from my experience, if you are relying on the router info, it will take a while, and may not be particularly accurate. Also, duh, it will only work if you are actually on the internet on wifi while it is looking.

Possible fix for problems with Location Services!!!!

Alright, I had just bought a brand new iPod Touch 5th Generation and was having trouble with any app that used Location services (Siri, Weather, Maps, etc) and it was driving me absolutely crazy. Now, I live in a very VERY rural area in Pennsylvania (basically the middle of nowhere) and my new iTouch kept saying "cannot determine location" no matter what app I was using that utilized Location Services. After 4-5 days straight of searching various websites looking for help (including this one), I came up completely empty handed and had pretty much given up on getting it to work correctly. Somewhere along the line, I found out about Skyhook Wireless and the process for adding my wireless network to their database. I thought to myself "What the heck? It can't hurt to at least try..." even after reading on multiple websites that Apple no longer works with Skyhook. So I gave it a shot,..

I entered my address into the first empty text field and then clicked the "MAP IT" button.
It deteremined where I was (pretty darn accurately if I say so myself) so I moved on and entered my Wireless Router's MAC Address in the corresponding field.
Then I entered my email address in the corresponding field, completed the CAPTCHA, and hit "SUBMIT".
I received an email a few moments later from Skyhook letting me know they had successfully received my submission and then I sat back for a few moments, crossing my fingers and hoping for the sake of my sanity that it had worked.
After about an hour or so, I tried to get my local weather using the Weather app that comes pre-installed on iOS. Still, it couldn't find my current location. the Maps app gave me the same result.
I sat here planning my next course of action and came up with...you guessed it....nothing!
I said screw it and went about my business for the day. A few days went by and I was visiting a very good friend of mine and I had my iTouch with me. Now my friend lives even further in the sticks than I do but for some unknown and shocking reason, my location services worked PERFECT at their house (every single app I tried that in one way or another used Location Services, it worked every time) so I asked my friend if it would be alright with them to go grab my wireless router and switch with them for a day or two, just as a last ditch effort for the sake of science and my own sanity. They said it wouldn't be a problem at all. So we traded wireless routers for a day or two.
Upon hooking their router up at my house and using the Weather & Maps apps, it still showed up that I was still at their house and showed the local weather for the town that was nearest to them. I was like "Hey, it's better than nothing!" so I left it go for a day or two.
Upon arriving at my friends house to grab my original router and give them back their original router, I checked my iTouch and, lo & behold, it showed my home as my current location and the correct local weather for the city/town closest to my home address, even though I was at their house. I felt so dumbfounded and almost cried because I had actually gotten it to work. I unhooked my original router, hooked my friend's back up, and it showed up that I was exactly where I was supposed to be - at my friend's house.
I brought my original router back to my house, hooked it up and Cha-CHING! It WORKED!!!!! It showed that I was at my house and showed the correct local weather.
And there you have it, How I was able to solve my location services woes.
I'm not saying it will help out everybody else's location service problems but it is worth a shot, it worked for me.
If this DOES help anyone else out, please reply so as to confirm that it wasn't just me that it works for.

Thank you @sberman for a fast replay, I read the article, but still it doesn't explain why it doesn't show at least that I'm in Europe,while my android phone,having set just wifi as location reference, shows my position at 1km accurately(I don't live in a city,that's why such a big radius) in Google Maps.I also saw the time zone, if I set it automatically,detection through wifi doesn't work, it just keeps refreshing.

Problem with Locating controls in UI Control Map

Hi everyone,
I am having a very weird problem and have no idea what's going on. I am working on creating some Coded UI tests and I have noticed that, on my machine, when I go to a .uitest file, right click on one of the controls in the UI Control Map list, and select
Locate the UI Control, the blue box always shows up about 2 inches up and 4 inches to the left of the specified control. Also, when I try to generate a new map by dragging the target tool to the app, it doesn't find the control correctly, but also appears
to think the app is open in a different location than it actually is. The weirdest thing though, is that this functionality seems to work fine with web pages. It's only when I try to use it on a windows app that it has a problem. Any ideas?

in the coded UI test?
Generally, when we want to add new UI control in the UI Control Map list, we can right-click the
CodedUITest method->Generate Code for Coded UI Test->Using Coded UI test builder like the following screen shot.
Or we can also right-click the UIMap.uitest->Edit With Coded UI Test Builder like the following
screen shot.
So I suggest you can try the above suggestion to check your issue again.
In addition, as you said that the weirdest thing though, is that this functionality seems to work
fine with web pages. It's only when I try to use it on a windows app that it has a problem. Any ideas?
I have been reproduced this issue in my side, I found that we can use the Locate the UI Control function
to find the control for a windows app.
So to further help you solve this issue, I suggest you can told me more detailed message about your

Problem with Location Services in Flight Mode

Hi!
Several times before it happened, that the Location Services symbol appeared in the status bar during Flight Mode and only disappeared several minutes after leaving Flight Mode. Up til now this never posed a problem as I usually plug in my Z10 over night.
Yesterday before going to bed I had 30% left and thought, that this would be sufficient to survive the night and that i'll plug it in in the office. Alas, I was woken up at arround 6am by my phone turning itself off.
When I looked at the Device Manager i found something quiet startling: During the whole time Flight Mode was active (approx. 23:00 - 0600), Location Services where active as well, draining the remaining 30% of battery. (See pictures)
My Device is a Z10STL100-3, OS is 10.2.1.3175.
No App was running nor was an Active Frame open.
Does anyone have a clue, why this happened or what caused this? Anyone with similar experiences?
And more important: how can i fix this?

Problem with location bar search

Before upgrading to Firefox4, when I'd type something in the box, Firefox would try to direct me to the location I'd intended. But now with Firefox4, it doesn't happen anymore, and instead, it shows a search result by Babylon Search. what can I do to fix it? I have already tried "keyword.enabled", but it didn't help.

TS3297 Problem with locating a digital music booklet in iTunes library

Good morning to all. I have purchased and downloaded a music album yesterday from Tunes which was accompanied by a digital music booklet featuring information on the singer and the composers but I don't seem able to locate it anywhere in my iTunes library. When I choose the album to listen to, I only get the graphic cover of the artist but not the entire digital booklet. Any idea, of where this could be traced or whether I could download it again using my previous purchase information?

If it's not 250GB, then why do you say it's 250GB?
Only music is down converted. Movies and TV show won't be.
Also, iTunes does not know how large the converted files may have to remove some songs before it sync and you may be able to add more after it syncs.
Easiest way to do it is create a playlist (or a few) and sync those.
After it is finished syncing, you can likely add more music the playlists and they will get converted and added to the iPod.

NFS and LDAP on different servers: Problems with location of home director

Dear Apple Experts.
We are using LDAP server for user authentification
and NFS server for home directories.
Both are decictaed servers on differnt machines.
on the NFS server there are directories
/home/urpi
for staff's home directories
and
/home/students
for student's home directories
both are mounted to the Mac minis in
/Users directory
so
/Users/urpi
contains home directories for staff
/Users/students
contains home directories for students
Authentification works well andpermission are set as needed
but OS X shows missing home directories for LDAP authentificated users
and terminal shows missing home directory
for me it is
/home/urpi/fodrek
I was tried to mount NFS to /home, but it is not allowed
Would I ask if there is any setting to add directories, where home directories are placed,please?

So none of these machines are Snow Leopard servers?
What exactly do you mean when you say you tried to mount the NFS share to home? Can you copy and paste the command and error?
It sounds as though you don't actually have the NFS shares mounted. Assuming this is so, you might want to investigate how the automount command works so that your MacMinis mount the NFS shares on boot.
If your NFS/LDAP server is an OS X 10.6 server, set the shares to be automounted as user/group directories. Make sure your LDAP server is providing correct information on the home directory location. If it is local, I think the home directories need to be in /Users. If your mounts are indeed working but you cannot login, you might consider making links from /Users to /home/urpi or /home/students on an account-by-account basis (could be done with a quick shell script).

Photoshop Elements 9 - problems with locating photo files

I have saved my photos and my catalog on a removable hard drive. When my laptop's techical support had to unexpectedly replace my laptop's hard drive, it meant I had to reinstall Photoshop Elements 9, which we have done. For some reason, the My Catalog on the removable hard drive was showing that it was created in Photoshop elements 6 which was surprising since I know that I had used it in Photoshop Elements 9. I went ahead and converted My Catalog. It now shows the key tags,star ratings, and captions, etc. Everything except the basic picture. It is not looking for the files on the removable hard drive. What can I do to get it to look at the removable drive where they are stored with a matching file name in the appropriate subdirectories? The properties of the pictures seem to be showing the photos as being at various other locations that no longer exist! What do I do? I do not relish having to reimport, re-caption, re-edit, etc., etc. for hundreds of pictures. Photoshop's catalog sensitivity is really frustrating. I am about ready to go to another product. If I have to re-construct everything again, it will be my second re-construction of a PS catalog. And I will strongly consider a much more forgivng product.

Suggest that you make your own collage, esp. since time is running out. Do the math and determine the size that each of the 5 pictures should be, leave enough room to add text.
Crop each picture to the appropriate size.
Go to File>new>blank file, enter height and width of your document, background white, resolution 300px/in. The resolution of the pictures should be the same.. However, resolution 240-300px/in is probably ok for printing
Open the 5 picture files. Access pict. #1, go to Edit>copy, open the blank file created in step #3, then go to Edit>paste
Repeat for the other pictures. Each will on on its own layer. Use the move tool to position, and resize with the corner handles if necessary.
Using the type tool add text.
TIP: Open the grid to help you to position the pictures. The grid can be configured via Edit>Preferences>Guides and grid. You may want to check "snap to grid" under View>snap to grid

Problem with locating file with windows

Hi,
I tried to use SAX parser to read some files through network using windows 2000.
I use parser.parse("\\\\Some directory\\some file");
when I try to execute program, SAX translates \\ to / and it can't locate the file.
Is there solution for this problem or should I install http server on far end machine and use http:....

I came to the same conclusion. But the "file://" prefix may only be present in front of a UNC file spec (\\server\share\...). If I use a drive letter (c:\mydir), it works without (and only without!)the "file://" prefix.
I am also using NT4, but would be very interested:
a.) if this is the same for Win2000 and XP
b.) if this is documented somewhere (I find this behavious rather strange)

Problem with Locator

I've installed Discoverer 3i on one single machine and I've registered Preferences, Session and Collector. But when I start the OracleDiscoverer3i service I have the following error in the Locator log file:
"Unable to bind to or retrieve information from preference object DISCO3IOracleDiscovererPreferences3.3"
When I type "osfind" in a MS-DOS prompt I see that my Preferences object has the following name: "DISCO3IOracleDiscovererPreferences3.3" and is in the category of the implementations registered with OADs.
The thing I don't understand is that in the installation instructions it is said that the task "dis33pr.exe" (Preferences) show be running but when I start it manually (because it doesn't start automatically) I have the same error as before with the Locator.
Could someone help me on this?

You need to register the preferences and session. Before you do this make sure that the Discoverer service is running.

Problem with location

Hi,
I have a location which was created by user 'a' in Database X.
Now the objects of that location along with that location has been refreshed from db X to db Y.
But db Y does not have user 'a'. Now when I am trying to deregister or register the location,using user 'b' its saying
that location created by 'a' cannot be deregistered.
Whats the solution out of it?
How can the location in DB Y be deleted? When tried to drop the location in Y, it was dropping the objects (mapping and others).

I guess you are using OWB10gR2 or later.
If you want to deploy same project to several target environment you need to use OWB configuration.
