Problem with product category

Hello,
I have replicated my product category for my new backend but i have a problem.
When i'm logged on germand it is OK but in english I have none and in french juste a few.
I saw that I have the translation but I don't understand why they don't appear when i create my schopping cart.
can you help me?

Hi Eileen,
You don't have filled description for English and French language.
Please go to transaction COMM_HIERARCHY and double click in product categories -
(R3MATCLASS). Then go to backend R3MATCLASS node and click on category.
On bottom in table You will see language. Add proper description for proper language code.

I'll start "one step back". Note we have resolved this issue but it is worth mentioning:
Yesterday we set up the product catalog. We were having a lot of inexplicable problems with it initially. After much troubleshooting, we found that it was because we were browsing the SharePoint site via the "Internet Zone" rather than the "Default
Zone" when we "Connected" our site to the product catalog. Issues experienced:
1) "Catalog Item URL Format" displayed error "Properties <Managed Property> specified by the shared catalog could not be found in the search schema" when attempting to connect to the catalog, despite that managed property being
configured correctly. The catalog would connect despite the error, and the navigation worked fine.
2) The search Result Source for the catalog would not return any results. Configuring the query and selecting "Advanced Mode" would show SPSiteURL:http://externalURL.domain.com. Changing SPSiteURL manually to
http://InternalURL resulted in results being returned as expected.
After much troubleshooting, we found that if were browsing SharePoint using the default zone (http://InternalURL) when we connected the Product Catalog, the result source then worked properly (internally and externally).
Ok, so now onto our current problem:
The Product Catalog appeared to be working properly (internally and externally) after figuring out that we needed to connect it from the Default Zone. However, we have found a remaining glitch, which doesn't appear to be Product-Catalog-specific. Consider
the following scenario:
1) We click a category in our Product Catalog, such as Electronics
2) A list of our electronic devices are presented via the "Category" display page
3) If we click on a specific item, a different URL is returned internally vs externally. We only get the friendly managed navigation URL when browsing via the Default zone. And of course totally different pages load based on which URL you get.
Internal (when browsing via Default zone):
http://InternalURL/catalog/PRODUCT-CATEGORY/PRODUCT-NAME
External (when browsing via Internet zone):
http://ExternalURL.domain.com/catalog/Lists/Products/DispForm.aspx?ID=1
We have reviewed the display template, and the "Path" managed property is simply being used to render the link. Furthermore, we have configured the Content Search web part's "Property Mappings" to show the "Path" MP, and it
displays the same (wrong) result externally.
This tells us that the Path MP is not correctly rendering "Friendly URLs" when using managed navigation.
Any help/ideas?
Our environment:
SharePoint Version: 15.0.4667.1000
Default Zone: http://InternalURL
Internet Zone: http://ExternalURL.domain.com
We are NOT using host named site collections
We ARE crawling the Default zone URL in our content source

Hi,
We have now also observed the same issue with a Managed Property of type “Hyperlink/Picture”. The picture returns the wrong URL externally.
This post describes the same issue, however the poster found that setting UseAAMMapping=True doesn’t work in 2013:

We checked, and our Picture MP had UseAAMMapping=False. We set it to True, did a full crawl, and see no change in behavior. Path already had UseAAMMapping=True.

Availability check problem - with item category(TAN and TANN)

Hi All,
We have a problem with the availability check in the standard order. Suppose if I give the item category as TAN, the availabilty check is green for that line item. If I change the item category from TAN to TANN, then the availabilty check is red.
How Item categories influence the availability check? Is availability check also depend on customer?

Customer Relationship Management>Basic Functions>Availability Check>Assign ATP Profile to Item Category
In this step you assign the ATP profile to an item category:
1. Choose the relevant item category.
2. Enter the name of the ATP profile in the ATP profile field.
If this field is empty, no availability check is carried out.
ATP profile-
1. A key that is assigned to the item category of a sales transaction item to control whether availability check takes place for this item.
2. If availability check is carried out in SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO), the name of the requirements profile in SAP APO is used for the ATP profile in CRM Online to carry out the following functions in SAP APO:
-ATP check
-Transfer of requirements
-Delivery scheduling
-Transportation scheduling

Migration to CS4 has caused problems with production

Hi guys
We have been developing a production in Flash CS3 for the
past month. We were experiencing problems with memory leaks in
Flash Player 9 and it was recommended that we upgrade to Flash CS4
and Flash Player 10 so we could use the new unloadAndStop() method
to unload assets from the production.
On upgrading to FP10 we were able to solve our memory leak
issue. But on doing so, the upgrade introduced a new problem into
our production. Some of the methods that worked in FP9, now do not
work in FP10. Nothing in the code of the methods has changed.
Is anyone aware of any bugs in FP10 or any differences in the
coding that is needed to do tasks like reference the stage, create
event listeners, etc?

No probs. Have you tried it on other computers? If other computers work fine, then it probably spells that the player is fine, but possibly the computer is lagging due to the running of too many applications or there are viruses, adware or spyware in your computer that is slowing it down.

Problem With Alert Category SCM EM 5.0

I have just updated my EM 4,0 to 5,0 and I have problems with the categories of alert, in the part of messages by mail. I do it correctly when configuring them like was doing it in the version 4 declaring in the containers the name of the paraameter of information and type, but when in the transaction SOST I see the very result the first character of the piece of information that is supposed to all data reflect appears they are declared correctly and in the HEY are everything like parameters of information.
Somebody is able to tell to himself that it can be happening

Help with product category assignment please

Hi experts,
I need to do a modificacion in my R3 downloaded products to CRM. Because a
product catalog fulfitment, I need to modify the assigned product hierarchy
in CRM but I don't know where can I do it this mapping between an R3 product
hierarchy and CRM product hierarchy.
I explain, if product A belongs in R3 to product category A, I need to modify
this assignment in CRM, for exmaple, product A in CRM will belong to product category
B.
Modifications/creations on product master are only downloaded to CRM, never upload
from CRM to R3.
Any help in this issue please? Is possible to get a behaviour like this?

Hi Javier,
You can always do a RFC data upload of the changed product from CRM to R/3. I guess you do know how to trigger a OLTP data transfer in product master maintenance transaction COMMPR01.

Problem in Product Category after upgrade

Hi Experts,
The problem occur after upgrade from CRM 6 to CRM 7. When doing the creation of campaign after inputting the Product ID a error message appear 'Invalid Parent Category for Product ____' . Found out that this checking was not available in CRM 6. Now we cant configure the product because this product comes from another system.
the checking is under CL_CRM_MKTGS_PROD_ASSIGN method CREATE_ITEM.
IF <fs_category_guid> IS INITIAL AND
           <fs_category2_guid> IS INITIAL.
          lv_msgv1 = lv_product_id.
          MESSAGE e031(crm_mktgs_products) WITH lv_msgv1 INTO mv_message_text.
          add_message_symsg( iv_log_type = cl_crm_mktgs_constants=>log_type_function ).
          RETURN.
Appreciate for any input or idea.

DEFAULT_WS_DEST web service destination - problem with production server

Hi All,
I'm getting close to go live for a project which uses a vast number of custom web services to access an Oracle DB backend to supply data to a Portal front end. Many of the applications we have developed are based on Web Dynpro and so we have used adaptive web service models to call the web services. My basis guy and I sat down and configured the DEFAULT_WS_DEST logical web service destination to work correctly in both our DEV and QA systems.
We completed the production build but when testing the Web Dynpro applications I get a dump saying '"DEFAULT_WS_DEST/default" cannot be found'.
Does anyone know why our production system is looking for a connection called "DEFAULT_WS_DEST/default" instead of just "DEFAULT_WS_DEST" as per our DEV and QA system?

Publishing Folio as PUBLIC - Problem with Product ID

How do we get a Product ID for folio publishing?
I had a lot of trouble learning this DPS and I am stuck over here.
Also.... I exported the .folio file for viewing it on the desktop using Adobe Content Viewer.... It produced a zip file. When the zip file was opened there was a .folio file. I opened that file in Adobe Content Viewer. This shows me only horizontal layout and not vertical. Please provide a solution for this problem too....

Can you explain what you are trying to build? Will you be using DPS Single Edition or a DPS Pro/ Enterprise? Will you be building a Single Edition app or a multi-folio app?
For Single Edition, you can just 'make up' any productId, for example "tanna1"
For previewing your folio on the desktop, you can just hit 'preview' in the Overlay Creator in Indesign ; no need to export and download a ZIP file. This is only needed if you will build your own Single Edition app with Viewer Builder.

T60 problem with product recovery disks

After Installing disk 1 of product recovery I am getting a message asking for "Final C" disk. I do not have this and I can go no farther with the recovery
How can I get past this? What could be causing this?

Maybe you could provide a little more information as to how you are trying to recover your system, are the recovery discs from Lenovo or did you create them yourself?
Recovery scenario using Lenovo or self created recovery discs;
boot from the Lenovo R&R or 1st disc created, once it has loaded choose to restore system and then restore to factory settings. Make sure you read all messages carefully. If it says remove disc and turn off and then turn on your system, you will need to, after removing the disc, press the power on button untill the system turns off, then turn it on again without inserting any disc.
You may be asked for a supplemental disc. If the discs are self created you do not have this disc and you need to click on "no". If the discs are from Lenovo you may, may not have one, click "yes" or "no" accordingly. Proceed as instructed and your system will be recovered.
Edit; just had another thought, may / may not be relevant in this case - but just in case: If you are starting the system, then pressing the blue ThinkVantage button, and do not have a factory restore option; - if you can still boot into windows you need to run System Update and let it update itself. Then try the ThinkVantage button again at boot, hopefully the factory restore option will be available.

Problem with product key

Hello there! I'm student and member of DreamSpark. I downloaded Visual Studio C++ 2008 Express and it require product key despite that in DreamSpark sayed "Product key embedded
in the installation."

Some problems with product download

Upgrading from BO 6 to current product:
1) XI 3.1 is most current? If support site list is cronolgical then XI R2 is later, but 3.1 seems to have latest dates.
2) Any good reasons to go to some version other than XI 3.1?
3) Can you actually download software from the download site?
I picked all of the BO XI 3.1 Windows software and clicked "add to download" basket.
I got "processing your request, please wait..." and nothing happened for thirty minutes.
I backed out and selected a single download... same results.
4) Can you talk to someone? Going through support and help options on the support site just leads me in circles that keep returning to the "forums search".

1.) Yes - 3.1 is the latest version
2.) Depends - If you are using only DeskI you can still use Rel.2 cause there are not a lot changes to 3.1. But i you use SAP as Datasource i would recommend 3.1
3.) Maybe that was a temp issue and now you are able to download the files. Maybe you have not the right to download it ?! Best would be creating a support message or contact your Account Manager at SAP/BO if the problem presists.

Problem with Class Category log4J

Can I set a different Priority in my
object Category if I am not inside a method ?
If I write this:
Category cat = null;
cat.info("Hello I am cat");
and before that I would like to set for cat object
a different priority but without to do that inside a method.
For example when I write Category cat;

You have to do this in the Log4j configuration file (log4j.properties). Add a line like:
log4j.categoryname=INFO
Read the documentation of Log4J if you don't know how to use the log4j.properties file.

Problem with product catalog dissappearance in R3 webshop

I have created a Product catalog layout in R3 system,but when i try to view the same in the webshop some part of the layout has disappeared,the layout structure can be seen but not the layout area name and also the products added to that area i also not visible.

thanks for the reply, I have created the layout and webshop in English,
I have selected the Variant for the layout as Spanish,but i have used english letters while writing the names of the layout,i donno if that matters,and one more thing, in the product master for the products used in the layout has english to be first choosen langauge and then the language i selected is spanish,
but still the error remains the same,help me if i cud still do anything in this to prevent the eror.
