Problem with RNIF adapter

Hi All,
I am facing this problem while processing an XI message using RNIF adapter at receiver side.
http://<host>:/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection
RNIFAdapter failed, due to:
com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException:
Error transmitting the message over HTTP. Reason:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect.
Please help me in solving this problem.

What is the channel configuration here? Are you using https by any chance? Are you using http://<host>:/sap/xi/engine?type=entry anywhere in configuration?

Problem with FTP Adapter in creating a new Folder

Hi all,
I have a requirement in which a BPEL process shud create a folder named as sysdate dynamically and write a
CSV file into that.(ex: PO/2010-03-09/PO_1.csv).I created a header variable for Oubound FTP adapter and
passing the file directory as concat('PO/',xp20:current-date(),'/') to outbound header directory variable.Problem is FTP
adapter is not creating the sysdate folder its says:1.check u have privileges 2.file name is too long....Blah....Blah.
But i have all the privileges for that user.If i manually create the sysdate folder the FTP adapter is placing the CSV
file.The same works fine with file adapter...but i need to use FTP since the FTP server can change in future.Seems to
be a problem with FTP adapter....can some one help.
Iam using SOA 10.1.3.4

Problem with FIle Adapter

Hi
We r facing typical problem with file adapter.
Lets say there are 30 files to be processed by placing an copy in arichive folder by file adapter based on pooling
parameters.
All the 30 files are picked up and we can see the copies in archive folder.
But when we go to RWB and check the audit log,
there we could see only 25 files , the 5 files are missing.
no trace found therre about the 5 files.
This is happening only some times and not to all the files placed in the FTP. Later when the same file is placed back from the Archive folder to the Source folder, the file is being picked and processed succesfully.
unfortunately this is happening on Production server
Any pointers which could trouble shoot this issue.

Hi,
Couple of thing which you can try....
1. Use EOIO QoS and check if you still face the issue.
Is some program or application writing files to the directory? If yes I would recommend the use of a temporary name to write the files and then rename them.
Sometimes when an external application connects via FTP and transfers the files...
The file could be picked up by the adapter poll even before the transfer of data is done.
Which is why you will find that the file is archived but there is no xml message created for the same in the Integration engine.
Try increasing the poll interval. This helps sometimes.

Problem with Lightning Adapter after update to IOS 8.1

Dear all,
last week I updated the Iphone 5S of my wife with IOS 8.1 since that time we can not connect the B&W Bowl via lighning adapter (Original Apple).
Before never any problem. I have the new Iphone 6 but IOS 8.02 and no any problem with same adapter to connect the B&W Bowl.
I also checked in my car same problem with IOS 8.1 we can not connect but with 8.02 no problem.
I contacted the Apple support and it looks it´s a problem with the new IOS 8.1.
Does anybody have the same problems with the connection to Docking Stations etc ?

Problems with File adapter

Hi All
I am facing some problems with XI system. XI production server was restarted couple of days back. From that time, 1 file is not reaching its destination. When i go to communication channel monitoring, i see this message for all the communication channels with file adapter "No adapter registered for this channel".
But, communication channels with SOAP adapter are working fine, and the corresponding files are reaching its destinations. So, what should i do to rectify this probelm? Do we have to restart XI server onceagain? Is there anything pirticular, to be careful about, while restarting XI system?

Plz try to do the following steps:
1)Try after restarting the Java Stack.
2)Try after SLD cache.
To clear the SLD cache, from the Integration Builder main menu, choose Environment ® Delete Cache for SLD Data.
Once we have deleted the cache for SLD data, accessing objects in the SLD may take longer than usual initially.
This will help you to find SP Level

Encoding problem with Application adapter for OEBS

We going to pass value via app adapter from EBS Forms to Content Server page. Link to documentation Configuring the Managed Attachments Solution - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
We have done all setting, and this function is working now .
It is good working with English letters and numbers, but when we try to use Cyrillic we have a problem with Encoding in Content server page.
Data on Oebs table use ''CL8ISO8859P5'', but service xml for adapter has allays a title with charset=utf-8
System are:
OEBS 12.1.3
Webcenter Content 11.1.1.6
Adapter 11.1.1.6 + patch 16463891

2) Log on to the EBS and confirm that you can now open the Managed Attachments window for all records & forms, regardless of the use (& length) of multibyte string values.
This was caused by multibyte characters used with non UTF-8 language strings .
I presumed that you are seeing that when "Managed Attachments" option through the ZOOM button from an E-Business Suite (EBS) forms, nothing happens.If you have a support id then check the following note : 1409703.1 from MyOracleSupport portal.

Satellite A200 - Problems with AC adapter

Hi,
The problem concerns an Satellite A200 (PSAF6A-02H01N).
Recently there has been problems with the Laptop taking several attempts to start up Vista, it would lock up while loading or just crash and freeze just after loading Vista.
But Once it was up and running the laptop would happily work for hours with the AC adapter plugged in.
The problem has now got worse and the laptop will not finish loading Vista without crashing.
We have now narrowed the it down to only having a problem when the AC power adapter is plugged in.
The Laptop battery will charge normally with the AC adapter plugged in and the Laptop in standby or switched off.
The problem still exists with the AC adapter plugged in and the battery removed.
The notebook will start up and run perfectly with the battery in and no AC adapter connected. Once the AC adapter is plugged in the Laptop will show that the battery is charging then after a few seconds it will crash or freeze and the only escape is a complete shutdown.
The laptop will only run under battery power for about 30mins max.
I have checked the Voltage output of the AC adapter and this appears to be a consistant 19.4 Volts.
Is it just an AC adapter problem or does the problem lie with the laptop?

Crashing/BSOD's can be caused by many things. The first thing to do is check the RAM and HDD for problems.
Test the RAM for errors. You can use the free Memtest utility:
1) Go to http://www.memtest.org/#downiso and download the "Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)"
2) Open the ZIP file and extract the ISO file to a temporary folder.
3) Burn the ISO to a blank CD using an "Image-to-Disc" or "Bootable CD" project in your CD/DVD burning software (dont use a normal Data Project).
4) Insert the Memtest CD into your laptop and turn it on, press F12 to launch the boot menu, and select "CD".
Test the Hard Disk for errors by using DFT.
DFT Download: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT
Download the ISO File and burn it to a CD-R Disc (There is also a Floppy Disk version if that's easier).
If you dont know how to burn an ISO file, read this guide: http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm
Restart your laptop and boot from the DFT Disc.
Choose the "Advanced" Test and let it run (it may take an hour or so).
If you see a red message box, the HDD is faulty.
An error code 0x70 means there are bad sectors and the HDD needs replacing.

Problems with MagSafe Adapter including sparks

When I plug my adapter into the plug socket I always see white sparks when plugging it into an extension lead. Is that normal or safe?
Also I have been having problems with the magsafe as when plugging it into my Mac Book Pro it doesn't always charge and you have to fiddle around with the wire to get it to start charging or unplug it a few times. I am also finding the magsafe bit is getting extremely hot as is the Mac Book Pro itself. Even when using it for simple web browsing. The CPU sometimes reaches 90° as well.
I have also been experiencing quite a lot of freezing / crashing / lagging on my mac book recently as well. Could this be related?
Should I take this to an apple store?

I have had a similar problem. There are a few questions you might want to answer:
1. Does your MBP have any fraying cables or wires? If so, you should replace the Magsafe power adapter as quickly as possible. This can damage your laptop, eventually.
2. Is your "Magsafe" an original unit? If it's a knock-off, this could account for electrical instability.
3. Does your Magsafe power adapter take power directly from the wall socket, or do you have multiple plugs? Sparks or heat indicate that the adapter is taking in a large amount of energy - that may not be fully grounded.
I mention these questions because I hope to spur more questions, which might eventually solve your problem. I have no idea whether the freezing and crashing is related to your problem, but it's certainly possible. I would strongly suggest writing detailed notes of the problem, and then proceed to the Apple Store.

Performance problems with File Adapter and XI freeze

Hi NetWeaver XI geeks,
We are deploying a XI based product and encounter some huge performance problems. Here after the scenario and the issues:
- NetWeaver XI 2004
- SAP 4.6c
- Outbound Channel
- No mapping used and only the iDocs Adapter is involved in the pipeline processing
- File Adapter
- message file size < 2Ko
We have zeroed down the problem to Idoc adapters performance.
We are using a file channel and every 15 seconds a file in a valid Idoc format is placed in a folder, Idoc adapter picks up the file from this folder and sends it to the SAP R/3 instance.
For few minutes (approx 5 mins) it works (the CPU usage is less then 20% even if processing time seems huge : <b>5sec/msg</b>) but after this time the application gets blocked and the CPU gets overloaded at 100% (2 processes disp_worker.exe at 50% each).
If we inject several files in the source folder at the same time or if we decrease the time gap (from 15 seconds to 10 seconds) between creation of 2 Idoc files , the process blocks after posting 2-3 docs to SAP R/3.
Could you point us some reasons that could provoke that behavior?
Basically looking for some help in improving performance of the Idoc adapter.

We wonder if the hardware is not the problem of this extremely poor performance.
Our XI server is:
     Windows 2003 Server
     Processors: 2x3GHZ
     RAM: 4GB (the memory do not soak)
The messages are well formed iDocs = single line INVOICES.
Some posts are talking 2000 messages processed in some seconds... whereas we got 5 sec per message.

Problem with middleware adapter filters

Hi,
I need some help with R3AC1 filter configuration. I have my CRM 4.0 working fine with a previous initial download executed for CUSTOMER_MAIN business object (between others).
The problem is that now I have to download the related contact persons in ranges and I don't know how configure the filters to avoid deltas and the contact persons initial download at the same time.
I think in requests (R3AR2) but I have the same problem with filters.
Actually I have a filter in CUSTOMER_MAIN (and CUSTOMER_REL) object:
KNA1 LAND1 EQ ES Inclusive
If I want to download the contact persons related to customers 8000 to 9000, what's the filter configuration and in which object have I to do? It's very important that deltas continue downloading from my back-end because the system is productive.
I need urgent help. Could anyone help me please?

Have a look at transaction SMW3FDCUST, the activation is done there when checking the 'active' checkbox. For the download everything of BUPA_MAIN and BUPA_REL should be deassigned (as it usually is after an installation).
The transaction is also found in customizing under CRM->CRM Middleware->Mobile scenarios->Mapping (or similar) with the approproate help text there.
@Paul:What error do you get? Since sBDocs are not validated it should be only a technical error. Are you sure it is msa related (which then should be an error in the BDoc CAPGEN_OBJ_WRITE or CONGEN_OBJ_WRITE) or an error in the CDB adaptor framework (BDoc BUPA_MAIN or BUPA_REL). If the latter, it helps to regenerate all BDocs and related services in the generation workbench GNRWB for these BDocs.

Problem with mail adapter module in PI 7.11

Hi,
I modified our adapter module from PI 7.0 to be compatible with PI 7.11 SPS3. I followed the instruction in http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index;jsessionid=(J2EE3417300)ID1491632150DB11633962752589437606End?rid=/library/uuid/c0b39e65-981e-2b10-1c9c-fc3f8e6747fa&overridelayout=true and successfully deployed the adapter module using NWDS for PI 7.1. However, I am encountering this error in the communication channel monitoring:
Exception caught during processing mail message com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleException.
I don't see any other details in the communication channel monitoring to help me determine the cause of the problem after this error message line. In NWDS, there was no error when I excute build the project. During deployment in NWDS, it says deployment was successful. When I check in NWA, I can find that the adapter module has been deployed successfully. I even tried to re-create the whole adapter module from scrach following the documentation for the 2nd time and still I got the same error message.
I am using java SDK 6.
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
This problem is now solved. I am using the correct version of NWDS for PI7.1 and using java 1.6 will not cause any problem.
The problem was caused by the source data being zipped instead of the unzipped version that my module is expecting. Furthermore, since my module comes before the mail bean, there is no details in the communication channel monitoring that the data sent was a wrong format.

Problem with SOAP Adapter receiver not receiving the proper string

Can you pls. confirm whether the mapping of your XSD fields & BAPI fields are in same sequence. I mean hierarchy is same or not.
Just to verify, as you said you are using Sync scenario that means you are using ONE Sender Soap & ONE Reciever RFC adapter.

Problem with File Adapter Communication

I have got an tab delimted file as mentioned below

I have created proper sender and receiver communication channels with content conversions handled properly.
In my adapter monitoring I am able to see that my Sender & Receiver Communication channel is showing green and the messages are polled from the flat file in my sender communication channel.But I am unable to receive my messages in the receiver.I have even checked up with MONI,no messages are displayed as per my interface.
But everything is fine.When I am sending an XML file.
If there are any mistakes with Content conversion with my tab delimeted file than,some error must be shown in my Adapter monitoring showing my communication channel error.
But everything is going fine with Sender communication channel.
There is a major concern here is when I debug the problem, I found out that my content conversion is working fine and the XML document is getting created and When it is going to XI,I have observed that BLANK DOCUMENT is being sent to XI.So,as a thumb rule.SAP XI wont process any BLANK DOCUMENTS.Thats the reason why my receiver is not receing any messages.
I dont know why,when the content conversion with tab delimted file is converted in XML,When conversion is completed while sending the SAP XI is receiving a blank document.
Can any one help me.

Performance Problem with File Adapter using FTP Conection

Hi All,
I have a pool of 19 interfaces that send data from R/3 using RFC Adpater, and these interfaces generate 30 TXT files in a target Server. I'm using File Adapters as Receiver Comunication Channel. It's generating a serious perfomance problem. In File Adpater I'm using FTP Conection with Permanently Conection, Somebody knows if PERMANENTLY CONECTION is the cause of performances problem ?
These interfaces will run once a day with total of 600 messages.
We still using a Test Server with few messages.

We also faced teh same porblem. Whats happening is that when the FTP session is initiated by the file adapter, then its getting done from teh XI server. Hence the memory of the server is also eaten up. Why dont you give a try by using 'per file transfer'.
If this folder to which you are connecting is within your XI server network then you can mount(or map) that drive to the XI server and use it with a NFS protocol of the file adapter and thereby increasing the performance.
