Problem with SQL WCF Adapter

Hi All,
This is my first time attempting to use the SQL WCF adapter with BizTalk, so I installed it after installing the SDK, everything seems fine, when I go to the project ==> Add generated items ==> Add Adapter MetaData
I can now see the option for the WCF-SQL adapter in addition to the SQL option. however when I select it and try to continue I get this error
unable to display adapter user interface
Could not load file or assembly microsoft.servicemodel.channels.tools.biztalkextension, version 3.0.0.0
and that it could not find the file
What should I do? Thanks in advance

If you want to use WCF SQL Adapter you have to generate metadata by add generated items -> Consume adapter services and then select the WCF Custom adapter and select SQL binding. If you want to use the non-WCF adapter then you can select add adapter metadata which you are doing currently.
The assembly which you have mentioned is in the following path.
{Installation Folder}\Tools\Microsoft.ServiceModel.Channels.Tools.BizTalkExtension.dll
Check that the assembly is installed correctly. This is the Consume Adapter Service BizTalk Project Add-In for Visual studio. You can check and verify the installation assemblies from this link http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/0/d/90d3fc09-de48-4d83-8147-e8a08275c255/Readme.htm
If it still doesn't work re-install the WCF LOB adapter SDK again.

  • Problem with SQL connection and a Collection

    hi all,
    I have two problems with sql...
    1. how can I assign the values of a resultset to a collection?
    2. how can I close the sql connection, because when I close the statement and connection error shows me in the resultset
    thanks!

    Hello Pablo,
    RetrivingResults In Collection:
    1)   use getObject method, and assign it to collection.
              Collection c_obj=new ArrayList();
             while(rs.next())
                    c_obj.add(rs.getInt(Project_ID), rs.getString(Project_Name));
    Closing ResultSet
    2)               The close() methos of ResultSet closes the ResultSet object, like bellow
                    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT a, b FROM TABLE2");
                    rs.close(); //Closes the result set

  • Problem with a JDBC Adapter when connect to Instance on SQL Server

    Hi,
    Currently I'm setting up a communication channel with the JDBC adapter to work on a SQL Server database. When I use a string without specifying the connection instance, the JDBC driver takes the default instance and connects to a database without problems.
    jdbc: sqlserver: / / Server01; databaseName = IntegraSAP1
    The problem is when I need to connect to another instance of it server.
    jdbc: sqlserver: / / Server01; instanceName = SAP; databaseName = IntegraSAP2
    The JDBC driver, in short, send me the following error:
    Cause Exception: 'Error when attempting
    to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException:
    Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException:
    Can not establish connection:: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException:
    The connection to the named instance  has failed. Error:
    java.net.UnknownHostException: .
    I appreciate your help,
    Regards,
    Johnny

    Not sure, might be port number is not required in case using instance. Give one more try with :
    jdbc:sqlserver:/ /Server01\SAP; databaseName = IntegraSAP2
    A comment from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms378428.aspx
    "SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 allow for the installation of multiple database instances per server. Each instance is identified by a specific name. To connect to a named instance of SQL Server, you can either specify the port number of the named instance (preferred), or you can specify the instance name as a JDBC URL property or a datasource property."

  • BizTalk 2009 SQL WCF Adapter Losing Messages? AKA TypedPolling Not Working

    Can anybody help me with this amazingly frustrating issue? Firstly, the basiscs. I'm using BizTalk 2009 Standard Edition hosted on Windows Server 2008
    Standard (64 bit). The BizTalk databases are stored on a seperate server, running SQL Server 2008 on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise (64 bit).
    I have configured a WCF SQL adapter to poll (using TypedPolling) a SQL 2008 database which in turn activates a relatively simple orchestration. The problem
    is that the orchestration does not get executed at the specified polling intervals. I have several other similar polling adapters in my application that work
    as expected. Generally it will run correctly once or twice after enabling/disabling the receive location or restarting the host instance. But after that it
    is completely erratic. If I have it set to run every hour (3600 secs), it might complete succssfully once or twice a day at seemingly random times. On other
    days it might run seven or eight times during a day.
    I've spent heaps of time reading blogs and changing various settings on my receive location and have really run out of ideas. I've profiled SQL Server and it
    seems that the WCF SQL adapter does hit the database at each polling period as specified, using both the polledDataAvailableStatement and the
    pollingStatement. Data is always returned by these queries (a small amount - around 30 records), but they just don't seem to get to the message box. No
    errors are ever reported in the Event Log.
    I use a stored procedure for determining if data is available and for returning data. They are both effectively the same statement, one returns a count
    whilst the other returns the data. The queries are using cross server joins as you can see below. Although I do no updates, it seems that I have to run the
    receive location with AmbientTransactions turned on. Turning them off just results in a SQL Timeout exception. I don't understand why this is and would be
    grateful if someone could explain.
    Data Available (contained in a stored proc):
    SELECT  COUNT(*)
        FROM    [LMNZLSQL002\AX].[LMNZ_AX_LIVE].[dbo].[CRM_CUSTTRANS_ITG] WITH (NOLOCK)
        WHERE    (TRANSTYPE = 8 OR TRANSTYPE = 13)
        AND SETTLEAMOUNTCUR > 0
        AND CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005 IS NOT NULL
        AND CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005 <> ''
        AND CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005 IN
            SELECT F.FeeId
            FROM [dbo].[Fees] F WITH (NOLOCK)
            WHERE F.FeeStatus = 3        --Unpaid
            AND F.Payer IS NOT NULL
    Select Data (contained in a stored proc):
    SELECT  ACCOUNTNUM, CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005, AMOUNTCUR, SETTLEAMOUNTCUR
        FROM    [LMNZLSQL002\AX].[LMNZ_AX_LIVE].[dbo].[CRM_CUSTTRANS_ITG] WITH (NOLOCK)
        WHERE    (TRANSTYPE = 8 OR TRANSTYPE = 13)
        AND SETTLEAMOUNTCUR > 0
        AND CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005 IS NOT NULL
        AND CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005 <> ''
        AND CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005 IN
            SELECT F.FeeId
            FROM [dbo].[Fees] F WITH (NOLOCK)
            WHERE F.FeeStatus = 3        --Unpaid
            AND F.Payer IS NOT NULL
        ORDER BY ACCOUNTNUM,CUSTFEEINVOICETRANSACTION30005
    At one time I suspected that the issue may be related to database locking. So, as you can see, I've added NOLOCK locking hints to rule this out. I'm also
    using a Service Behaviour (SqlAdapterInboundTransactionBehaviour) declaring a transaction level of ReadUncommitted. Obviousy I'd like to move away from the
    possibility of dirty reads. Also, I've checked the SQL activity monitors when I expect the process to run and can see no locks holding it up. Also, I can
    freely execute the stored procedures from SQL Management Studio at these times.
    I'm not too experienced at monitoring BizTalk, but I wondered if some kind of throttling was occuring. So I've moved the receive location (and the
    orchestration that doesn't always get initiated) to its own host instance and have done some monitoring via the performance counters in perfmon. I haven't
    spotted any thottling going on, but maybe I wasn't looking at the correct counters (mainly used the Message Agent items).
    Here's a summary of the receive location properties:

    Thanks everyone for your input on this. None of the suggestions actually seemed to solve our specific issue, and we ended up raising a support call with Microsoft. They got us to use some tracing tools that are not publically available and it turns out that
    there was a problem with the underlying WCF commnications channel, which was not visible via the usual windows event logs. They suggested a solution that, although very counter-intuitive, seems to have resolved our problem; set the ReceiveTimeout property
    of the receive adapter to <!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:SimSun; panose-1:2 1 6 0 3 1 1 1 1 1; mso-font-alt:宋体; mso-font-charset:134; mso-generic-font-family:auto; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:3 680460288 22 0 262145

  • Minor Problem with MagSafe Power Adapter

    I got my MBP almost a year ago now (partially why I'm asking the question) and I've noticed that my power adapter doesn't always show the charge light. Sometimes it is not on at all, and sometimes it is less bright in color (both green and amber).
    If I remove it and put it back it usually corrects itself.
    It if fully functional; even if the light is completely out and plugged in it still shows as charging.
    So, is this normal? I never remember having this sort of problem with my PB G4.

    I would think the led light on my adapter cable was broken, but I discovered it works fine on a co-workers MBP. His adapter, which we know works, does NOT work (ie. the led does not come on) when attached to my computer. This indicate to me that the problem, whatever it is, can sometimes be with the computer and not the adapter.
    I would be curious if others with apparently dead leds have tried their chargers on other MBPs.
    Here's the long version of my story:
    My 5W MagSafe completely fried after only 9 months.
    The new adapter was fine for several days until this morning.
    My "low battery" warning popped up, so so I plugged it in to recharge and immediately noticed the little led on the charger cord did not come on.
    I found it hard to believe that I had another bad adapter, so before making the trip back to the store, I went into the studio where there are some other MBP users.
    I plugged my adapter into another laptop and the led came on. It appeared to function completely normally. I tried MagSafe adapters from two other MBPs, but the led did not come on on either of them while attached to my computer.
    This made me think there was some sort of problem with the connector on the computer itself. Just visually, it appears to be clean and corrosion free.
    The next obvious step, it seemed, would have been to try swapping batteries with the other laptops, but mine is a 17" and everyone else here has 15"... and so we have different battery sizes.
    One of the people here at the studio had a little utility called "Coconut Battery", that reports information about the battery health. When I ran it on my laptop, I got what I thought were rather surprising results.
    It showed the usual things like current charge (21%), battery capacity and so on. But under "Additional Info" it said "Charger connected: Yes" and "Battery is charging: No".
    I figured this narrowed it down to a problem with the battery. But as I was showing these results to my co-worker, the "Current Battery Charge" changed from 21 to 22%. Huh? We left it plugged in and it continued to show a steady climb in the charge, as if it is working normally. Except there is no led light, and the software still says it is not charging. Odd.
    I then noticed that the built-in battery level indicator on the status bar was also showing the same increases. The led lights on the back of the battery are indicating an increase as well.
    Just out of curiosity, I ran a second battery health analyzer program and again got these conflicting results. This one reported the same battery charge and capacity and so on as the previous one. It also recognized that the laptop was running off of AC power, that there was a battery, but it said "Not Chargeable."
    So now I am going to let it continue until I have a full charge and then see if the computer will run as usual from the battery.
    I don't think the store here is going to give me another adapter since this one appears to work just fine on the other computers.
    Any thoughts on why the led would work on other laptops but not mine?
    Why the battery health monitors report that the battery is being charged, but also that it is "not chargeable"?

  • Problem with SQL Insert

    Hi
    I am using Flex to insert data through remoteobject and using
    SAVE method generated from CFC Wizard.
    My VO contains the following variables where id has a default
    value of 0 :
    public var id:Number = 0 ;
    public var date:String = "";
    public var accountno:String = "";
    public var debit:Number = 0;
    public var credit:Number = 0;
    id is set as the primary key in my database.
    I have previously used MySQL which automatically generates a
    new id if I either omitted the id value in my insert statement or
    use 0 as the default value.
    However, now I am using MS SQL Server and the insert
    generated this error:
    Unable to invoke CFC - Error Executing Database Query.
    Detail:
    [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Cannot insert
    explicit value for identity column in table 'Transactions' when
    IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF.
    Strange thing is that I dont see this problem with another
    sample application. I compared with that application (it has the
    same VO with default value of 0 for id) and everything looks
    similar so I can't understand why I have this error in my
    application.
    This is SQL used to create the table:
    USE [Transactions]
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
    SET ANSI_PADDING ON
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Transactions](
    [id] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
    [date] [datetime] NULL,
    [accountno] [varchar](100) NULL,
    [debit] [int] NULL,
    [credit] [int] NULL,
    CONSTRAINT [PK_Transactions] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
    [id] ASC
    )WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE =
    OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON,
    ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
    ) ON [PRIMARY]
    Has anyone encountered this problem before with insert
    statements dealing with a unique id (with MS SQL Server)?

    Check the permissions for your applet. Anuntrusted

  • Local Network Connection Problem with SQL Server 2008 R2

    Hi,
    I have CRM application which uses SQL server 2008. Weird thing is that I have no problems connecting from client machines to the server when using a particular router (via LAN) and when I upgrade the firmware of the same router (A common open source firmware
    which is used by many also works perfect apart from mentioned problem) and restart the server, the connection cannot be established. I get Error 40.
    When i downgrade the firmware and restart the server, the connection works again.
    Please note that I am absolutely not touching any configuration of the server. Also the CRM software allows remote connections from public IPs which this feature works fine with both downgraded and upgraded firmwares.
    As for my understanding, the routers do not block ports in LAN connections. So how can I diagnose the reason for this connection problem?

    Hi Leony83,
    Please also help to check Windows Event Log information regarding this issue, so that we can do further investigation. In additin, here is the general steps to troubleshoot SQL Server Error 40 issue. Please see:

  • ODBC Problems with SQL Server 2012 on Virtual Machine

    I am having problem with my application after my IT department upgraded to SQL Server 2012 with error "ConngetDataToModify.vi:1"<ERR>Object 0x2222222 is not valid.  I have 4 servers running the same executable without problem before the upgraded. However, after the upgrade 2 of these Server are having the problem with the ODBC connection. Here are my setup, the application was created using LabView8.5, we have 2 physical server box running Window Server 2003, 2 Virtual Machine on Windows Server 2008, and a Virtual Machine with SQL 2012 Server. The 2 physical server running the executable without a problem after the upgrade, but the 2 Virtual Server were unable to connects to the ODBC connection. Anyone have any idea why this is happening , it is the problem with compatibility between my application with Server 2008 and SQL 2012 Server, or is there a problem with both beings Virtual Servers? As I said, the 2 physical Server seem to be running without any problem with the upgrade.

    My guess is that the problem is not specifically with LV. This should be relatively easy to check if you create a UDL file and double click it. This opens a Microsoft wizard which allows you to configure and test DB connections (the UDL file itself is basically just a text file which holds a connection string). If it doesn't work there, it won't work in LV.
    As for what the actual problem is, a common culprit is the firewall, which is easy enough to check by disabling it. Another option is the surface area configuration of SQL Server, which will not allow network connections unless you tell it to.
    It should probably also be noted that LV 8.5 is not officially supported on Windows Server. I'm assuming that's not the issue, but be aware of it.

  • "Performance" problems with the File adapter on Plain J2SE Adapter Engine

    Hi,
    At the moment I'm on a customer side to solve some XI issues for a few days. One of the issues is the performance of the Plain J2SE Adapter Engine, using the file adapter to transfer XML messages(already XI message format) from the legacy system to the Integration Engine. The File adapter has to deal with "large" XML messages(max at the moment is 65 Mb) and the engine fails with the following error when transferring the big XML file: "ERROR: Finished sending to Integration Engine with error "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError". Skip confirmation and quit this loop".
    As far I got the information from the customer the memory use of the Plain adapter engine is set to 512Mb. This is maybe to low. But I don't know where to look for this, I only have the adapter web interface in front of me, no access to the OS it self via for example remote connection.
    On the Integration Engine I know there is the ability to split large message with the file adapter(File Content Conversion), but I don't know this for the Plain Adapter Engine. Is there a possibility to do this also on the Plain Adapter Engine?
    Thanks in advance for any input.
    Greetings,
    Patrick

    Hi Sameer,
    Thanks for your answers.
    On the first solution, yes that is possible, we first decided to see if the legacy system can do the splitting, before starting developing a Java program.
    On the second solution, as far as I know is this solution possible on the Integration Engine. But we are facing the problems on the Plain J2SE Adapter Engine. I went trough that documentation(link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6f/246b3de666930fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm ), to look for I similiar solution in the Plain Adapter Engine. So my question is, is this possible with the Plain Adapter? And if so, what kind of parameters I need to use to achieve this.

  • URL problems with SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 with wildcard SSL certificate

    Hi,
    I have single server, domain member, with SQL Server 2012 SP1 Reporting Services.
    I am trying to get work with url: https://reports.mydomain.com
    I have valid wildcard certificate (*.mydomain.com) implemented and configured URLs in Configuration Manager.
    https://reports.mydomain.com/ReportServer - works fine
    https://reports.3pro.hr/Reports/ - I got error:
    The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
    In rsreportserver.config I have:
    <Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" Value="2"/>
    When looking my ReportServerService_date.log file I have something like:
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using report server internal url https://localhost:443/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using report server external url https://serverhostname:443/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using url root https://reports.mydomain.com/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using report server internal url https://localhost:443/ReportServer.

    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using url root https://reports.mydomain.com/ReportServer.
    Also, error shown in log file:
    appdomainmanager!ReportManager_0-2!4c50!03/10/2013-20:24:53:: e ERROR: Remote certificate error RemoteCertificateNameMismatch encountered for url https://localhost/ReportServer/ReportService2010.asmx.
    ui!ReportManager_0-2!4c50!03/10/2013-20:24:54:: e ERROR: System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. ---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException:
    The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.
    Btw, is there a way to delete/disable access using https://localhost and/or servername (not FQDN) since SSL will not work in this way for me, and I want access only by full url - https://reports.mydomain.com , not localhost ..
    -- Hrvoje Kusulja

    I spent one of my 4 free support incidents with Microsoft (part of MSDN subscription) this year to get this investigated.  The tech support person helped me through several issues but had to leave to attend some training, and I got past the last hurdle
    before she called me back.  Here are the steps that resolved this issue for me.  I know for sure that step 5 was necessary.  Step 1 may not apply to you, and steps 2-4 may or may not have been necessary (they didn't immediately fix the issue,
    but I didn't roll them back either so they may have been necessary.)
    Step 1:
    Ensure you are editing the correct rsreportserver.config file.  I had been making changes to a file that was installed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\14\WebServices\Reporting, but that was a rsreportserver.config
    file for some sharepoint integration that I'm not using.  The correct path on my system was E:\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\rsreportserver.config, but yours may vary. If you can't figure it out, look in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft
    SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Setup in the key named SQLPath, and then go to the ReportServer subdirectory of that path.
    Step 2:
    In rsreportserver.config, ensure that SecureConnectionLevel is set to the value 3.  Was set to 0 in my configuration.  Corrected line in your rsreportserver.confiog file should look like:
    <Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" Value="3"/>
    Step 3:
    In rsreportserver.config, add the correct value to the <URLRoot> element (which already exists in the file.)  In my configuration, this value was blank.  The value should be the fully qualified path to your report server, with a hostname that
    is valid for your certificate.  For example, if my cert matches *.mydomain.local:
    <UrlRoot>
    https://myserver.mydomain.local/ReportServer
    </UrlRoot>
    Step 4:
    Ensure that your certificate exists in Trusted Root Certification Authorities in certmgr for the local machine.  I had the certificate installed as a Personal certificate for the local machine, which I still think was correct (the certificate wasn't actually
    the problem and worked correctly for Report Server, and the failure was caused by SSRS incorrectly making a https request to a localhost URL), but she had me remove the certificate from Personal and add it to Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.  That
    broke things and the cert was no longer listed as a cert I could bind to, so we then copied it so it existed in both Personal and Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.  This is how I left it, not sure if that was necessary.
    Step 5:
    This was the fix that finally got things to work. In rsreportserver.config, add the same value to the <ReportServerUrl> element (which also already exists in the file) that you added in step 3.  In my configuration, this value was also blank.
    The corrected value should be the same as in step 3, for example:
    <ReportServerUrl>
    https://myserver.mydomain.local/ReportServer
    </ReportServerUrl>
    Then restart your report server (stop & then start in Report Server Configuration Manager), and the problem should go away.  At least it did for me.
    Good luck!

  • Problem with standalone resource-adapter

    Hello,
    I have problem with excluding standalone resource adapters from enterprise applications on OAS 10.1.3.4. Because collection of standalone resource adapters can change dynamically (release of new versions, creation of new environment), I cannot enumerate names of resource adapters into orion-application.xml.
    In documentation of application server I have found:
    Deploying Multiple Versions of a Standalone Resource Adapter
    To configure an application to use only adapterA, you would add the following elements to the application's orion-application.xml file:
    <imported-shared-libraries>
    <remove-inherited name="adapterB"/>
    </imported-shared-libraries>
    Because both standalone resource adapters are imported by default, it is not necessary to explicitly import adapterA.
    An alternative configuration follows:
    <imported-shared-libraries>
    <import-shared-library name="adapterA">
    <remove-inherited name="*"/>
    </imported-shared-libraries>
    I tried to add following orion-application.xml into my enterprise application, but standalone resource adapters are still visible in class loader of enterprise application.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <orion-application>
    <imported-shared-libraries>
    <import-shared-library name="global.libraries" />
    <import-shared-library name="global.tag.libraries" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.cache" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.dms" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.gdk" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.http.client" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.jdbc" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.jwsdl" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.persistence" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.toplink" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.ws.client" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.ws.jaxrpc" />
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.xml" />
    <remove-inherited name="*" />
    </imported-shared-libraries>
    </orion-application>
    How should I disable including all standalone resource adapters without explicit enumerating of resource adapter names in orion-application.xml.
    Thanks a lot
